Former Subin MP Eugene Boakye Antwi is urging the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to stay focused and organised if it wants to return to power in 2028.
Speaking on Good Morning Ghana on Metro TV on April 23, 2025, Antwi said the party must be guided by discipline, proper planning, and clear goals.
He warned the NPP not to copy how the opposition operates, but instead be strategic about how they approach the next election.
“We must work for the 2028 election; it will not be handed to us. We must work with discipline, data, and direction,” he stated.
Antwi also highlighted the need for members to come together and support ongoing efforts to improve the party.
“Party unity must be established. Unity is key, all hands on deck. The ‘you do me, I do you’ mentality is not necessary. Our utterances must be scrutinised. We can’t preach unity and practice extraction, it will not work,” he stated.
He believes the party’s current challenges are largely due to internal division and stressed the need for strong and united leadership.
