The stage at the Adom Kwahu Festival lit up with excitement as young rappers went head-to-head in a thrilling rap battle.
Five up-and-coming artists took turns showcasing their skills, but after several rounds and crowd voting, only two — Dragon and Maputo — made it to the finals.
The two finalists battled through four intense rounds, each one raising the bar with fiery lyrics and sharp delivery.
The audience was fully engaged, and the votes kept swinging back and forth. Then came a turning point — Maputo delivered a powerful rap in Twi that sent the crowd into a frenzy.
With cheers and chants growing louder, it seemed like Maputo had secured the win. But just before he could be declared the champion, a surprise contender named Top Gear stepped on stage.
What happened next was electric — Maputo and Top Gear went freestyle, trading heavy bars and clever lines. Their energy, flow, and crowd control were so evenly matched that the audience couldn’t pick a clear winner.
Adom’s Kasahare session was more than just entertainment — it was a celebration of real, raw talent straight from the streets.
And judging by the level of skill on display, Ghana’s next rap icon might have just been found at Kwahu.
