The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS ) has begun its 50th anniversary celebrations today in Accra, Ghana.
The event has been attended by Heads of State and Government, along with other dignitaries and Ministers.
The celebrations include the unveiling of the ECOWAS Golden Jubilee logo and theme, with artistic performances highlighting the organization’s rich history and accomplishments.
This launch marks the start of a year-long series of events across Member States, a programme that was approved during a February 2025 meeting of the ECOWAS Administrative and Financial Committee.
