NSA releases PIN codes for 18,011 nurses and midwives for 2025/26 service year

The National Service Authority (NSA) has officially announced the release of PIN codes for 18,011 trained nurses and midwives ahead of the 2025/2026 national service year.

In a statement issued on Thursday, April 17, 2025, the Authority urged all eligible personnel to visit its official website — www.nss.gov.gh — to retrieve their PIN codes using their student ID numbers and dates of birth.

“All eligible trained Nurses and Midwives are requested to log onto the Authority’s website… to access their PIN codes,” the statement read.

The registration process comes with a fee of GH¢40.00, which is to be paid at any Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) branch. However, applicants who prefer mobile payments may opt for the GH¢41.00 MTN MoMo option.

The enrollment period began today and is expected to close on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. Management has advised all prospective national service personnel to “complete the online registration within the stipulated time.”

The Authority also took the opportunity to remind the public of the legal requirement to undertake national service. “Per the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119), every Ghanaian citizen who has attained the age of eighteen (18) years or more and has completed any accredited tertiary institution… is MANDATED by law to undertake national service to the State,” it emphasized.

This directive includes graduates from universities and Nursing Training Colleges, as part of the national duty to contribute to state development.
