Afrobeats sensation Olivetheboy has dropped a brand new EP titled “Out of the Blue”, making waves across the African music scene and beyond.
The release follows a remarkable year for the rising Ghanaian star, who has quickly become one of the most talked-about young talents on the continent.
The eight-track project is a follow-up to his hit “Avana” deluxe EP, which featured the popular song ‘Asylum’—a track nominated for “Most Popular Song” at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards.
“Out of the Blue” highlights Olivetheboy’s unique mix of Afrobeats, Soul, and modern Pop. The EP also includes exciting collaborations with some big names in African music. Sarkodie appears on ‘Bend’, Mayorkun on ‘A Fuul’, Qing Madi on ‘Survivor’, Soundz on ‘Design’, and Veola on ‘Convo’.
Tracks like ‘Bend’ and ‘Tattoo’ are already trending on social media, with fans and music lovers buzzing about the new release.
According to sources close to his team, Olivetheboy is preparing for a tour across the UK, Europe, and the US to promote the EP.
Born Joel Ofori Bonsu, Olivetheboy is signed to Columbia Records through Loop Music. In 2023, he was the most-streamed Ghanaian artist, and in 2024, his track ‘Asylum’ ranked among the top-streamed songs from Ghana.
