Police enhance securtiy measures for a peaceful Easter celebration

The Ghana Police Service has heightened its security operations across the country to guarantee a peaceful and incident-free Easter celebration in 2025.

In a statement released on Friday, the Service assured the public of its readiness, citing the deployment of officers across major roads, highways, and communities as part of efforts to maintain law and order during the festive season.

“The Ghana Police Service wishes to inform the general public that comprehensive security measures have been put in place nationwide to ensure a safe and peaceful 2025 Easter celebration,” the statement noted.

With large numbers expected to gather in the Eastern Region—particularly in the Kwahu enclave for the annual Paragliding Festival and various Easter activities—the Police say targeted operations are being rolled out in the area.

“Special security arrangements have also been made within the Kwahu areas to cover the Paragliding Festival and other scheduled activities,” the statement added.

The Police are also encouraging the public to stay alert and assist law enforcement by reporting anything unusual.
“We urge everyone to be security conscious, remain vigilant, and report any suspicious activities to the police,” the statement urged.

Concluding the announcement, the Police Administration extended well wishes to the public:
“The Police Administration wishes you a happy Easter.”
