Woman recounts how she survived an abduction by dwarfs for 6 months

A young woman from Kwahu-Tafo, a community in the Eastern Region, has recounted her experience after allegedly being abducted by dwarfs.

She was reported missing for six months before being discovered under mysterious circumstances on the outskirts of town on April 15, 2024.

Local residents suspect that she was abducted by dwarfs.

Following her reappearance, a spiritualist named Nana Kwame Mframa was summoned to conduct rituals at the site before she was safely returned home.

Now, the young woman has confirmed that she was indeed taken to a different world by the dwarfs.

In a widely circulated video interview, she described the realm as extraordinarily beautiful, expressing a reluctance to return to our world.

She further disclosed that upon regaining consciousness, she cried for two months, becoming a source of entertainment for the dwarfs. However, once she stopped crying, they observed her silently.

Nana Kwame Mframa advised her to follow all instructions given by the dwarfs to avoid potential punishment.

10-year-old abducted, sexually molested by 40-year-old

A 10-year-old girl has been sexually molested by a 40-year-old man at Anaji Queen of Peace near Takoradi.

The man, who has been identified as just Thomas is a mason by profession, and is reported to have abducted the girl for six days.

Dailyguidenetwork.com reports that Thomas locked the little girl in his room and only allowed her out when he returns from work.

In an interview, the father of the victim, Confidence Fiadzo, commended the police for their swift intervention in arresting the suspect.

He indicated that he had just moved into the area with his children from Mpatado.

According to him, in the early morning of Saturday, May 6, 2023, his 10-year-old daughter decided to go and fetch water from a well at Anaji Queen of Peace, which is about 10 minutes’ walk from their new residence, and did not return.

He added that he realised his daughter was not returning home, so he asked her siblings to follow up.

“They combed all the area, including the location of the well and all uncompleted buildings, but they could not find my daughter,” he said.

He added that after failing to find her, he reported the case to the police and made some radio announcements, and published her photograph on social media.

Mr. Fiadzo told DAILY GUIDE that a female neighbour of the suspect later saw the little girl come out of the man’s room.

According to the neighbour, because “the man did not have a wife or a child, she became suspicious after seeing the little girl coming out of his room. So she reported the case to the Anaji police,” Dailyguide added.

The police rushed to the place, rescued the girl and arrested the suspect, and called the father to inform him.

They later directed the father to send her daughter to the hospital for an examination, and it was there that the doctors confirmed that the little girl was sexually molested by the suspect.

The suspect is currently at the Kwesimintsim Police Station assisting with investigations.

  • Indonesia’s separatist abduct New Zealand pilot

Indonesia’s separatist abduct New Zealand pilot

Separatist fighters in Indonesia’s Papua region have kidnapped a New Zealand pilot.

The 37-year-old Mr. Mehrtens was taken into custody after his aircraft, carrying five passengers, was attacked after landing in the isolated mountain province of Nduga.

He is “safe,” according to his kidnappers, the West Papua National Liberation Army (TPNPB), who have spoken to BBC Indonesia.

However, they claim that they won’t let him go until West Papua’s independence is recognised.

Sebby Sambom, a TPNPB spokesman, told BBC Indonesia that the five additional passengers, including a child, had been freed because they were native Papuans.

Indonesian authorities say they are deploying a search and rescue team. But police noted it was logistically difficult because the remote area can only be reached by air.

Meanwhile New Zealand’s Prime Minister Chris Hipkins said the country’s embassy in Jakarta was “working on the case”. The foreign ministry had earlier said it was “well aware” of the situation.

The small passenger plane, which belongs to Indonesia’s Susi Air, had departed from the Mozes Kilangin airport in Central Papua early on Tuesday, and was meant to return a few hours later after dropping off the passengers in Nduga.

A TPNPB spokesman told BBC Indonesian that Mr Mehrtens had been moved to a stronghold district for the group in a remote area, and he would be used as “leverage” in political negotiations.

“The pilot is safe. That is our responsibility… We take him as our hostage in a remote area,” said Mr Samborn.

But he added the group would hold Mr Mehrtens captive until countries “like New Zealand and Australia” took responsibility for their role in the ongoing historical conflict and violence in Papua.

Papuan rebels seeking independence from Indonesia have previously issued threats and even attacked aircraft they believe to be carrying personnel and supplies for Jakarta.

The resource-rich region has been caught in a battle for independence since it was brought under Indonesia’s control in a UN-supervised vote in 1969.

Conflicts between indigenous Papuans and the Indonesian authorities have been common since, with pro-independence fighters mounting more frequent attacks since 2018.

The region is a former Dutch colony divided into two provinces, Papua and West Papua. It is separate from Papua New Guinea, which was given independence by Australia in 1975.
