Ghanaian musician and radio personality Blakk Rasta criticized President Akufo-Addo‘s policies, expressing his disappointment and labeling the President as a “traitor.”

Blakk Rasta, who initially believed Akufo-Addo would improve the economy, now believes the opposite has occurred.

He stated, “I voted for him to save the good people of Ghana, but he has done the opposite. He has messed up the economy.”

The musician didn’t hold back, accusing the President of leading Ghanaians into a state comparable to slavery.

Ghanaian artists are ungrateful – Mr. Logic

Entertainment pundit and artist manager Mr. Logic has stirred controversy by calling Ghanaian artists ungrateful during an interview with Blakk Rasta on 3FM.

He criticized artists for not appreciating the efforts of music executives, contrasting them with what he perceives as a more appreciative attitude from “cross breeds.”

Mr. Logic attributed this lack of gratitude to artists’ attitudes towards obtaining visas abroad.

“Our people from here you do it for them and they don’t appreciate it. Our people who are cross breeds appreciate the work music executives put in”, Mr. Logic stated.

He claimed that many Ghanaian artists view getting a visa as a major achievement, leading them to belittle others once they’ve secured it.

He illustrated this with a personal story about a previous artist he managed who, upon obtaining a UK visa, distanced themselves from him.

“The last artiste I worked with got a UK visa and decided not to work with me. A lot of them see getting a visa as a breakthrough,” he said.

Despite these challenges, Mr. Logic expressed optimism about his current project with MoSpence, stating that she appreciates his efforts and does not measure success based solely on acquiring visas.

“Mo will not let me down. She does not need a visa to America and says since I’m going to America I will not work with you”.

  • Free SHS is nothing but a scam – Blakk Rasta

Free SHS is nothing but a scam – Blakk Rasta

Ghanaian musician and radio personality Blakk Rasta has once again taken aim at President Akufo Addo‘s Free Senior High School (Free SHS) policy, labelling it as a deceptive educational scheme.

In a recent broadcast on the Urban Blend show , Blakk Rasta vehemently criticised the policy, equating his dislike for it to his aversion to Satan.

Blakk Rasta asserted that the Free SHS policy lacks coherence and practicality, emphasising that Independent Power Producers (IPPs) have incurred significant debt to maintain electricity supply for Ghanaians.

“What kind of education are we giving to our children? Free SHS is nothing but a scam. What kind of education is ‘you go to school for one month and go and sit home for 13 months?’ Extra classes left, right, and center, milking the students night and day. Does this make common sense to you?”, Blakk Rasta stated.

Additionally, he pointed to allegations made by former deputy minister for energy John Abdulai Jinapor, who claimed that the government requires $50 million USD to procure fuel, linking this financial strain to the ongoing power outages known as ‘dumsor.’

The musician and commentator further argued that the Free SHS initiative is detrimental to Ghanaian students, asserting that it leads to prolonged periods of absence from school.

He criticized the prevalence of extra classes that burden students and accused teachers and school administrators of exploiting students under the guise of providing additional education.

Expressing his disdain for the current state of Free SHS, Blakk Rasta denounced the quality of education being offered, citing instances where students receive inadequate meals and likening the portions to “gas” due to their lightness.

“I hate this [Free] SHS education the way it stands right now more than I hate Satan. You go to the school, and they give them kenkey and some soup. I heard some of the schools now call it ‘gas’ because when you put it there and open the lid, it’s like gas, very light. They put the head of the tilapia in there for twelve students to share. Is that your idea of free SHS?”

He condemned the practice of sharing meagre food portions among multiple students and questioned the overall efficacy and fairness of the policy.

  • Funny Face’s license should have been seized long ago considering his mental state – Blakk Rasta

Funny Face’s license should have been seized long ago considering his mental state – Blakk Rasta

Reggae artist Blakk Rasta has voiced concerns over comedian Funny Face‘s continued possession of his driver’s license despite his well-known battle with mental health issues.

Blakk Rasta questioned why authorities allowed Funny Face to retain his driving privileges, suggesting that the nation had failed in ensuring his full recovery before granting such permissions.

In an interview on the “Urban Blend” show on 3FM, Blakk Rasta expressed disappointment in how mental health is handled in Ghana.

He highlighted the disparity in treatment, suggesting that if the accident involved government officials, the response would have been different.

Blakk Rasta placed blame on the state for permitting Funny Face to drive under the circumstances.

“Our nation has failed the citizenry again. We do not take mental health seriously and it hurts me. Funny Face will walk free anywhere he goes. Once it is proven that he was suffering from a certain kind of mental sickness, my brother, what should we have done?” Blakk Rasta questioned, emphasising the need for stricter measures in such cases.

He further criticised the lack of action taken regarding Funny Face’s driver’s licence following his mental health struggles.

Blakk Rasta suggested that the first step should have been to revoke his licence and ensure proper psychiatric care.

“Funny Face had been to a psychiatric hospital a couple of times. Did they recommend that his driver’s licence should be taken away? We have failed the little children involved in the accident. We have failed Funny Face himself,” Blakk Rasta lamented.

The incident in question occurred on Sunday, 24th March 2023, when Funny Face reportedly hit five pedestrians with his Hyundai Atos at Kasoa, Kakraba Junction.

While there were no fatalities, the victims sustained significant injuries.

The criticism from Blakk Rasta adds to the ongoing debate about mental health awareness and support systems in Ghana.

The concern is not just about Funny Face’s situation but also about broader issues surrounding mental health care and public safety.

He accused President Akufo-Addo of negligence, citing instances such as a soldier’s collapse on March 6, where condolences were allegedly absent.

“John Kumah was not a hero; we have to stop praising the dead. President Akufo-Addo and his evil ways will not be forgotten; he neglected occurrences on March 6, when the soldier collapsed and died. Akufo Addo failed to send any form of condolences to the family,” Blakk Rasta stated.

Outspoken media personality and musician Abubakar Ahmed, popularly known as Blakk Rasta, has taken a bold stance, urging Ghanaians to refrain from eulogizing the late Deputy Finance Minister, John Kumah.

According to Blakk Rasta, the late Deputy Finance Minister, does not deserve any positive attributes due to his alleged role in causing economic hardship during President Akufo-Addo’s leadership.

Blakk Rasta firmly asserts that John Kumah, who recently passed away, served as a tool of destruction for ordinary Ghanaians, contributing to their suffering under the administration.

Despite the potential discomfort for the late minister’s family, Blakk Rasta emphasised that the deeds of John Kumah cannot be overlooked, citing his impact on the financial difficulties faced by the people.

In support of his argument, Blakk Rasta points to a post by President Akufo-Addo eulogizing the late John Kumah, using it as further evidence to strengthen his message.

“I do not eulogize dead people who were not good people when they were alive. He is undeserving of praise, as he, under the leadership of President Akufo-Addo, caused enough hardship. I am sorry to the family, but he caused financial hardship to Ghanaians,” Blakk Rasta stated firmly.

“Bawumia is the biggest liar satan has created” –  Blakk Rasta

Renowned Ghanaian reggae and Kuchoko artist, Abubakar Ahmed, popularly known as Blakk Rasta, has taken Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to task for including names of prominent personalities in his manifesto committee without proper authorization.

Blakk Rasta asserts that the Vice President’s deceptive tactics should not be attributed to the individuals named, emphasising that Dr. Bawumia’s pursuit of political power appears to involve dishonesty.

Highlighting the discontent among personalities such as Okyeame Kwame and Kwame Pianim, who disavowed any political allegiance after finding their names in the committee, Blakk Rasta criticised Dr. Bawumia’s alleged fabrications.

He pointed to Okyeame Kwame’s recent statement denying party allegiance and Kwame Pianim’s public denial of any connection to Bawumia’s committee as evidence of the Vice President’s untruthfulness.

“Okyeame Kwame recently released a communique to deny any allegiance to a political party. In fact, I called him to confirm, and he said he was just called to find out if he was interested, stating that he would only participate if compensated for his ideas. Similarly, Kwame Pianim publicly disassociated himself from Bawumia’s committee. Bawumia is the biggest liar Satan has created,” asserted Blakk Rasta.

LGBTQ+ bill is a blessing in disguise; “You cannot dislike gays and love gay-money” – Blakk Rasta

The United States Embassy in Ghana has issued a cautionary statement, expressing concerns over the potential negative impacts on Ghana’s international reputation and economy following the passage of the Promotion of Proper Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values Bill, commonly referred to as the anti-LGBTQ+ Bill, on February 28.

In an unexpected twist, popular musician and host of 3FM Urban Blend, Ahmed Abubakar, widely known as Blakk Rasta, has voiced his support for the controversial bill, declaring it a “blessing in disguise” for Ghana.

According to him, the legislation will compel the nation to become truly independent and responsible by severing ties with foreign donors.

“You cannot dislike gays and love gay-money. The passage of the LGBTQ+ Bill will force our greedy leaders to be truly independent and responsible,” Blakk Rasta asserted during the Black Pot segment of his radio show on March 1.

Encouraging Ghanaians to address societal issues comprehensively, he emphasised the need to combat all forms of immorality rather than focusing solely on sexual matters.

Drawing a parallel between Ghana and the biblical cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, Blakk Rasta warned of potential consequences if societal evils were left unchecked.

The artist shared that his song “Sodom & Gomorah,” the opening track of his recent twenty-track album, Salaga Soljah, was inspired by the biblical narrative.

He debunked the misconception that the destruction of the cities was solely due to homosexuality, emphasizing that other grave crimes such as murder, violence, injustice, rape, and corruption played a role.

Blakk Rasta, who had the opportunity to visit the historic site during a trip to Israel, reflected on the severity of the sins and the subsequent divine punishment.

He expressed hope that his music and radio work, particularly the patriotic hit song “My Dear Ghana,” would contribute to raising awareness and fostering positive change within Ghanaian society.

As the debate surrounding the anti-LGBTQ+ Bill continues to unfold, Blakk Rasta’s unexpected stance adds a unique perspective to the discourse on Ghana’s international relations and the pursuit of national autonomy.

Buaben Asamoah is unpatriotic – Blakk Rasta fumes

Renowned radio personality Abubakar Ahmed, known professionally as Blakk Rasta, known for his outspoken stance against social injustices, has criticized Yaw Buaben Asamoah for alleged unpatriotic behavior.

Speaking on the Black Pot segment of his radio show, Urban Blend on 3FM, Blakk Rasta expressed concern for Ghana’s future and highlighted leadership failures.

“These two parties are selfish, greedy and only interested in themselves and what they will get. They don’t have the interest of Ghanaians at heart.” Buabeng Asamoah asserted.

The criticism stems from Buaben Asamoah’s recent claim that both the National Democratic Congress  and New Patriotic Party (NPP) are selfish and greedy parties, with only Alan Kyerematen being incorruptible.

Blakk Rasta, however, accused Asamoah of double standards, pointing out his previous defence of the NPP government’s alleged corruption scandals.

The radio host asserts that Buaben Asamoah’s shifting allegiance and opinions undermine his credibility.

“Buaben Asamoah, a few days back was touting the nonexistent prowess and achievements of the Nana Akuffo Addo Bawumia government, but after he was sacked all of a sudden is talking common sense,” Blakk Rasta stated.

Outspoken media personality and musician, Abubakar Ahmed known populary as Blakk Rasta, has taken a swipe at President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for postponing a ministerial reshuffle until the eleventh hour.

In a recent shake-up on February 14, 2024, President Akufo-Addo relieved 13 central and local government ministers of their duties, including Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta and Roads and Highways Minister Kwasi Amoako-Atta.

Leave NAM1 alone, you are also corrupt – Blakk Rasta jabs Mahama

Renowned radio personality and musician, Blakk Rasta, has voiced strong criticism against former President John Dramani Mahama.

He has demanded that the ex-president addresses alleged corruption that occurred within his administration.

In a recent broadcast, Blakk Rasta voiced dissatisfaction with Mahama’s commitment to recover funds that NAM1, the embattled businessman, unlawfully took from individuals.

NAM1 and his companies, Menzgold Ghana Limited and Brew Marketing Consult Ghana Limited, face charges of defrauding by false pretences, inducing public investment, and money laundering.

Blakk Rasta emphasized the need for Mahama to address concerns about the misallocation of funds during his tenure, stating, “Chase all the corrupt people you spent corrupt money on. You should be investigated.”

“Chase all the corrupt people you spent corrupt money on. You should be investigated. You are investigating a young man who is trying to put his life together. NAM1 started in your regime, was in your regime and made things happen.

Rasta accused the former president of initiating an investigation into a young man, NAM1, who is endeavoring to rebuild his life.

The radio personality pointed out that NAM1’s business endeavors commenced during Mahama’s regime, suggesting a lack of scrutiny at the time.

Blakk Rasta alleged that it was only when subsequent administrations took charge that NAM1 encountered significant challenges, leading to the confiscation of his assets by the State.

“You didn’t see anything wrong with it until the old men came into power and messed up the man’s business. Now you have the mouth to say that if I come into power I will chase NAM1 and get all the money. Who is NAM1 to be walking free? Don’t do that, you are not being smart when you say that.

Furthermore, Blakk Rasta called on Mahama to address other unresolved issues, such as the infamous ‘Guinea fowls’ that supposedly migrated to Burkina Faso during Mahama’s presidency.

“Mahama please chase the Guinea fowls that flew to Burkina Faso, Mr ex-president chase RL&G that you gave so much money to and issue came out of that. Mr ex-president chases all the slay queens who are mentioning your names all over the place,” he added.

Additionally, he urged the ex-president to investigate the financial dealings with RL&G, a matter that stirred controversy during Mahama’s term.

Blakk Rasta didn’t shy away from addressing Mahama’s association with individuals he referred to as “slay queens” who have been vocal about their ties with the former president.

He encouraged Mahama to address these allegations and take appropriate action. Blakk Rasta also cautioned Mahama against making promises to pursue legal action against NAM1, emphasizing the need for a comprehensive and unbiased investigation into allegations of corruption during Mahama’s tenure.

Rasta described Cheddar as a mere ‘Kubolor Boy’ who, despite newfound wealth, displays poor English-speaking skills and flaunts his riches.

The clash of opinions has brought attention to the ethical concerns surrounding Cheddar’s choice to keep tigers.

“The President is nothing to us let alone such a ‘Kubolor Boy’ who just got money that cannot even construct proper sentences…I am shocked. This guy wants to be President. Are you mad? You have brought tigers, declawed them and removed their teeth, I said it was wrong. Come on the debating table with me, you tell me it’s legal. Ghana allows it so it’s ok. Yeah, Ghana allows it but it’s not everything Ghana allows that is ok. I am an animal activist. Brother says he doesn’t understand,” he hit back at Cheddar.

Even if Otumfuo strips naked, respect his throne – Blakk Rasta slams Wontumi

Controversial media figure Blakk Rasta has condemned the Ashanti regional chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, also known as Chairman Wontumi, for reportedly disrespecting the king of the Ashanti Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

Blakk Rasta expressed strong disapproval of Chairman Wontumi’s comments, which appear to undermine the authority of Otumfuo, deeming them deplorable and unacceptable given the revered status of the Ashanti Kingdom.

He rebuked Chairman Wontumi for his lack of respect toward Otumfuo, emphasizing that his popularity and wealth should not lead him into a conflict with the Asantehene.

During the UrbanBlend show, monitored by GhanaWeb, Blakk Rasta urged Otumfuo to address Chairman Wontumi, whom he labeled as “arrogant,” so that he could learn a lesson about speaking against authorities.

“You cannot disrespect Asantehene [Otumfuo Osei Tutu II]. Even if he strips naked and runs around like David, respect the throne that he sits on. That kingdom is so historically powerful and bigger than Asantehene. So, if you disrespect the Asantehene, you are not only disrespecting one king, you are disrespecting all the kings that ever sat on the throne, and you are disrespecting that ancient kingdom.

“How on earth should Chairman Wontumi open his mouth because of some dirty galamsey money that he has, sit back and say that he has built his own kingdom and that you have your police, you have your military, and that Asantehene cannot order you around? It means that I will spew every kind of nonsense into your face and tell you anything that I want to. That’s what it means,” he said.

In addition, he urged President Akufo-Addo to see to it that Chairman Wontumi is held accountable for his derogatory remarks.

“Apart from Asantehene summoning the arrogant Chairman Wontumi, I call upon the president of the country [Akufo-Addo]. If he’s truly the president and is in charge, you need to call this man to book.”

    Background

Chairman Wontumi is said to have received summons from the Manhyia Palace for allegedly undermining Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene.

Onuaonline.com reported that Wontumi questioned the Asantehene’s authority last week at a meeting of the NPP parliamentary primaries vetting committee.

According to the report, the party chairman declared, “I have established my kingdom,” and he would not think twice to challenge the Asantehene if he disagreed with him on any matter. He made this declaration without being provoked.

“I have built my own kingdom, I have my own police and military, and I will speak my mind to Otumfuo if I disagree on an issue with him (Otumfuo)” the report quoted Wontumi as stating.

The incident report highlighted the involvement of Henry Nana Boakye, the National Organiser of the NPP and chairman of the vetting committee, during the incident.

Nana Kwaku Duah, Kokosohene, who was also present at the time, reportedly expressed strong disapproval of Wontumi’s statement.

“For you to even say those words in my presence is unacceptable, and I’m not happy about your weird and disrespectful behaviour,” Kokosohene reportedly fumed at Wontumi.

The Asanteman Traditional Council is reported to have written to Justin Frimpong Kodua, the General Secretary of the NPP, after the incident to arrange for Chairman Wontumi’s appearance at the Manhyia Palace and to provide an explanation for his alleged disrespect for Otumfuo.

He went all the way to Asia, Europe and even America. Are you telling me that the tens of thousands of people who were seen falling down and vomiting blood all had been paid to do a certain Cantata?

“Are you telling me that even family members who we knew, went to the SCOAN and were allegedly healed of cancer or other dangerous diseases they came home and were healthy, are you telling me that they’re all fake? How about those who just touched the TV and then got healed? How do you explain that? I will not believe that,” he said.

“Honourably, I apologise to the president of the Republic of Ghana. As much as you are a useless president, I don’t want to see you die. I want to see you live and suffer so that when you finally die, Satan can humbly and honestly sodomise you in hell.

“But I do not want to wish you dead. No. Even when my enemy dies, I don’t jubilate; I pray for him. It was a slip of the tongue. As useless as you are, you and your vice president do not die. Don’t visit an early grave,” he said during the UrbanBlend show on 3FM.

Blakk Rasta suggested that if he were in Kwame Sefa Kayi’s position, he would have resigned from his appointment as a board member of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) to distance himself from the Akufo-Addo-led government.

It may be recalled that the lawmaker and former minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection came under fire after taking a 9-month hiatus from all official duties, including those of the legislature and the government.

“Do you know how much your daughter disgraces herself at night? – Blakk Rasta quizess Nana Adwoa Awindor

Popular radio host and musician Blakk Rasta has blasted Efya‘s mother for allegedly supporting her daughter’s reckless lifestyle.

In his opinion, it would be in the best interests of everyone if Madam Nana Adwoa Awindor admitted to her daughter that she needs help instead of hiding her acts.

In a previous interview with Joyprime, Mrs. Awindor bemoaned the fact that they had lost business because of the reputation her daughter had acquired as a “drug addict.”

She also addressed the naysayers who consistently criticise her daughter while disputing the false reports.

However, Blakk Rasta reacting to this, has called such claims a mere PR gimmick

He stressed that concealing Efya’s condition could send her to an early grave.

“Do you know how much your daughter disgraces herself night and day? She recently was in London, and we all heard what happened in London, but we kept it down because it is not in anybody’s interest to talk ill about anyone. What do we stand to gain from that?

“I believe that if I was part of the family, we would’ve tried to do something better rather than PR gimmicks that are so irresponsible. She is a drug addict. It is a condition that can be dealt with, but it doesn’t mean she is useless. Own up to it. This PR gimmick is so lame and useless. Very soon if you’re not careful we’re going to bury Efya and then you’re going to come crying. Please your daughter is sick. Find a way of dealing with it,” Blakk Rasta fumed during his show on 3FM.

  • Celebrate your own – Arnold lambast Blakk Rasta on MOGmusic’s Grammy ‘comment’

Celebrate your own – Arnold lambast Blakk Rasta on MOGmusic’s Grammy ‘comment’

Entertainment pundit Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo has debunked Blakk Rasta’s narrative suggesting that the celebration of MOGmusic’s admission to the Grammy Academy is mediocre. Asamoah-Baidoo argued that the occasion calls for celebration since it represents a significant accomplishment.

MOGmusic became the first Ghanaian gospel musician to become a member of the Recording Academy of the Grammy Awards following an announcement on June 27, 2023.

Reacting to the news, many netizens took to their social media platforms to celebrate the musician on achieving this great feat.

But media personality Blakk Rasta on United Showbiz described the achievement by MOG as mediocre. According to him, joining the Grammy Academy does not call for a celebration.

You’ve joined the academy so what? We want the industry to grow and I know they are encouraging Jamaicans to join the academy. It’s no achievement that you now have voting rights. It could be an achievement in some sense.”

“Ghana celebrates a lot of mediocrity and it hurts me very much,” Blakk Rasta said.

However, battling this assertion, Arnold said on United Showbiz said: “It is a big achievement for MOG as an artiste and our industry. How do we grow? Don’t we sow before it germinates?”

“In the Grammy conversation, to be close to the Grammys, one of the things is to get closer to the academy. I have done proper PR for Blakk Rasta when he was lecturing in the US but nobody said it was mediocre because you’re not the only person to have lectured abroad.

“Do not negate PR. I sharply disagree when you say it’s mediocrity. What MOG is going to do apart from voting, the most important thing he’s going to be doing is considering our music to the board. How do you call this mediocrity?” Arnold added.

  • Seeing Sarkodie’s ‘Try Me’ song being aired on TV is surprising – Blakk Rasta

Seeing Sarkodie’s ‘Try Me’ song being aired on TV is surprising – Blakk Rasta

Renowned Ghanaian musician and radio presenter, Abubakar Ahmed, popularly known as Blakk Rasta, has expressed shock at the airing of ‘Try Me’ released by Sarkodie on television.

Speaking to the media, the Barack Obama hitmaker expressed concerns about the content of the song, describing it as vulgar, and childish.

The comments by Blakk Rasta come on the back of the airing of the ‘Try me’ song by the Accra-based television station.

The song which happens to be Sarkodie’s response to Yvonne Nelson after he was indicted in her book titled ‘I am not Yvonne Nelson’, contained some explicit words.

He criticised Sarkodie and the song for its explicit content and questioned the decision to air it on national television, emphasizing the potential negative influence it may have on the younger generation.

“I am really shocked this song is being played on TV. Vulgarity, immaturity, childishness, 3ye ya paa to wit [its hurtful]. Because this thing is going to come online for them to watch. You can get access to this, you can say it’s night so I will air it, but the daytime it’s vulgar,” he said.

In responding to the hostess’ justification for airing the song on TV, Blakk Rasta said it gives the song a wider reach.

“if you ask me that, you are trying to endorse the fact that you are giving it milage. Maybe on his platform, only people will watch but a huge fat programme like this, you’ve given it more mileage,” he said.

“I thought that there will be a clean version. What you played is the dirty version,” he added.

Some days after Yvonne Nelson launched her memoir, ‘I am not Yvonne Nelson’, Sarkodie released a song to respond to claims made in the book against him.

Yvonne Nelson is suffering from mental issues – Blakk Rasta

Blakk Rasta, a popular radio personality, believes that Yvonne Nelson is a woman who is currently struggling with mental health issues. He expresses the opinion that Yvonne Nelson deserves support and understanding due to the challenging circumstances she has faced.

It is important to approach discussions about mental health with empathy, sensitivity, and respect for individuals’ privacy. Mental health is a serious matter that affects many people, and it is crucial to promote understanding, offer support, and encourage individuals to seek appropriate professional help if needed.

“What I see anytime I read this book is that Yvonne Nelson is a woman who is suffering from mental issues,” he said on Accra-based United Television.

On Sarkodie, Blakk Rasta indicated that the rapper’s response was out of place and an affront to womanhood.

“She picked on Sarkodie and if you read the book, you’ll infer correctly that this was the very first abortion she had. When you read the book you’ll realize that she said her mother opened her legs during her teens to check her hymen and said the next time she opens and doesn’t find the hymen she will deal with her,” he stated on United Showbiz hosted by MzGee.

“She said she was so naive and Sarkodie wasn’t the first person she dated but, she lost her guard with him probably because she saw a certain future in Sarkodie. You can meet a lady for the first day and she will give in to you. I won’t take them for cheap, it’s just the aura around you. Sometimes it’s what you bring to the table. But some men are immature on think the women are cheap,” Blakk Rasta added.

Celebrating admission into GRAMMY Academy is mediocre – Blakk Rasta

Radio personality and Reggae musician, Blakk Rasta, holds the opinion that celebrating MOG’s admission into the GRAMMY Academy is a mediocre achievement.

MOGmusic has become the first-ever Gospel Artiste from Ghana to be admitted into the prestigious Grammy Academy.

The Grammy Board recently approved his application, granting him membership in the renowned institution.

“This is the pinnacle every musician wishes to get to,” he told TV3. “I am glad to be putting Ghana on the map once again.”

But reacting to the news on Accra-based UTV, Blakk Rasta believes that it’s time Ghanaians stop celebrating mediocrity.

To him, it is no achievement and should not be given the coverage it was given.

“In Ghana, we celebrate a lot of mediocrity and it hurts me very much. You joined the academy so what? What is the achievement? The Academy is even encouraging Jamaicans to join so it is no achievement that you now have voting rights. It could be an achievement in some sense but listen, your artiste are in Portugal Afronation and are miming.”

“I know MOG and he wrote melodies for me on one of my songs so we called him melodies master so this is not personal. When I saw what they were celebrating I asked myself what is this?” Blakk Rasta said on United SHowbiz hosted by MzGee.

  • You are fake – Blakk Rasta to Sarkodie

You are fake – Blakk Rasta to Sarkodie

Radio personality Blakk Rasta has accused Sarkodie of having a fake personality.

According to him, the rapper has been among the celebrities who pretend to have a good personality but in reality, they are fake and liars.

Speaking on his Urban Blend show on 3FM, the presenter argued that anyone who has had an encounter with him should be able to determine how fake he is adding that, he has a lot of proof to back his statement.

“People pretend to be who they are not and Sarkodie is one of those people; no two ways about that. Now if you have followed Sarkodie and you want to remove that veil from your eyes, you would know that this is a fake guy. There are so many things I can say about Sarkodie but for the fact that I would not have time to go through that, I would just mention a couple of them”, he stated.

One issue he raised to back his claims about Sarkodie was the fact that the rapper was unable to fund the treatment of a sick girl who came to him for help, rather than soliciting the said money from fans on Twitter.

He added that Sarkodie always says ‘money no be problem’ but he could not afford to pay for the sick girl’s treatment.

“There was a time Sarkodie was seeking some finance to help a girl who was sick. I think the amount involved was about GHC10,000 and this was about two years ago. Sarkodie came on Twitter and was asking people to donate to the cost of GHC10,000 to take care of a sick child who was in ICU.

“Yet, this is the same person who says ‘money no be problem’. If money is no problem, if somebody you claim is in ICU wants the money, you come and sit on Twitter and ask fans to donate”, he explained.

Blakk Rasta fires Bryan Acheampong for being a coward

Ghanaian musician and radio show host, Blakk Rasta, has called Bryan Acheampong, the Member of Parliament for Abetifi Constituency, a coward who hides behind foolishness to misbehave after the politician said his political party will never hand over to the opposition party.

Blakk Rasta, who hosts the show “Taxi Driver,” expressed his disappointment saying Acheampong’s remark was promoting violence and was demonic.

He stated, “These cowards hide behind this foolishness and misbehave every time, and I am hurt. How can a whole party come out and support this demonic talk? You have an equal measure of violence, and people are happy about it.”

He added, “If they are violent, we are also violent. Oh, let us send you to Somalia, where there is violence, so we can check your level of violence. Can we take you to Ukraine because that is where we need violence? Go there!”

Blakk Rasta further accused Acheampong of behaving like a coward and living in a fool’s paradise, saying, “Maybe he is politically drunk and his senses are not working.”

He also mocked Acheampong’s two-week course with the American Air Force, stating that just because America is considered almighty, any training from them does not guarantee success in all situations.

Blakk Rasta reminded Acheampong and others who support violence that it is not the solution to any problem and that violence only leads to more violence and destruction.

He concluded, “I remember the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. I remember the bombing at Pearl Harbour. I remember Vietnam, where America lost right from the top to the bottom. I remember, and I know as a historian, that America does not always win. America is not God.”

We would have used any means for NPP to stay in power.”

Osebo the Zara Man finally reacts to Blakk Rasta’s Feb 7 tweet mocking him

Fashion entrepreneur Osebo the Zara Man has come down heavily on media personality Blakk Rasta for citing him in a social media scuffle with media executive Nana Aba Anamoah.

Born Richard Brown, Osebo was guesting on Sammy Flex’s Class Showbiz programme on CTV, Thursday, March 16, 2023.

Early February, Blakk Rasta and Nana Aba Anamoah had some exchanges on social media prompted by the former’s vehement criticism of rapper Sarkodie appearing on a contemporary version of Reggae icon Bob Marley’s ‘Stir It Up’.

During the back and forth, Blakk Rasta shared two pictures of Osebo, Nana Aba’s former boyfriend, donning what appeared to be conventional female clothing.

He captioned the tweet with the words: “Sis @thenanaaba, I hear you have this legend’s direct phone number? I need him to borrow this outfit for the Bob Marley Day concert in May.”

According to Osebo, a number of people drew his attention to the tweet.

He highlighted that he is not in the habit of getting on camera or social media to respond to people who insult him.

Hinting at why, he referred to the proverb that says: “A fool is even seen as wise when he keeps quiet.”

“Whenever you’re angered, don’t speak according to your angered [hurt] heart [feelings] else, excuse me to say, you may say foolish things,” he added, mentioning that the Bible says not to let the sun go down on one’s anger.

He posited that when one is angry, he or she uses their heart or feelings to speak only to be condemned by their own mind or conscience thereafter when the anger subsides.

“So when I am angry, I go quiet,” he noted.

Perhaps in view of the public opinion that he may be effeminate from his fashion choice, he strongly stated that he is a very strong man of valour only that he is self-controlled.

“I laughed when I saw the tweet after it was sent to me,” Osebo said, adding that: “It’s someone who – excuse me to say – is of an inferior mind who will write such a thing [tweet].”

“Whatever is happening between you and Nana Aba has got nothing to do with me,” he said. “So why me? It means you are [intentionally] insulting me.”

He emphasised that Blakk Rasta acted foolishly “by following his feelings [unchecked].”

“I won’t do this,” he said. “If you are wise, you focus your fight on you and your opponent. You don’t bring a third person into it this.”

Else, he said, one may risk offending someone who is a fan and “has so much respect for you.”

With that said, the man some call a cross-dresser confessed his admiration for Blakk Rasta.

“He’s one guy I admire,” he said. “And it is because he is fearless and so I really admire him.”

“But when you respect someone so much, one thing could happen for you to notice their true foolishness,” he added.

He argued that wisdom is seen in consistency.

The Zara Man underscored that, as all would testify to, he has never come “on social media to say foolish things,” and “it’s because where I was raised, I was taught wisdom so I only speak wisely.”

On why he never responds to his critics and those who mock him, he said it is because “my attention is too expensive. I am always [focused on] making money every minute of the time I have.”

He cited once walking out of an interview due to the host’s insistence on bringing up his former girlfriend Nana Aba Anamoah.

He categorically said that he and Nana Aba can never be enemies because they have a child together.

“I cannot say anything derogatory about her. My son may even be grieved, if I do,” he added.

Sammy wondered if Osebo the Zara Man was offended by Blakk Rasta’s tweet.

“Not really,” he answered. “Things like this don’t worry me. I have a tough skin.”

He insinuated that he has suffered worse criticism at the hands of Ghanaians on social media, indicating that he is not perturbed but that there is in fact more coming to provoke them further.

Sammy questioned if he had tried speaking to Blakk Rasta personally concerning the tweet.

“Why would I do that?” Osebo also questioned. “You didn’t show me respect; why would I show you respect?”

He said he and Blakk Rasta do not know each other personally neither have they ever met “one on one before,” and so for the latter to speak in such an unpleasant way about him, “it would be monkey business” for him the offended one to initiate a conversation between them.

“I [only] do business and make money,” he concluded.

I’m not stopping until I step on international red carpets – Osebo the Zara Man to critics

Richard Brown, popularly called Osebo the Zara Man, has categorically said that he is unperturbed by the public’s insults and mockery and he is not revising his fashion choices until he gains international recognition.

Osebo was on CTV’s Class Showbiz hosted by Sammy Flex, Thursday, March 16, 2023, reacting to media personality Blakk Rasta’s February 7 mockery via Twitter when he said this.

Blakk Rasta mentioned Osebo during the height of his social media fight with the latter’s former girlfriend media executive Nana Aba Anamoah over Sarkodie’s feature on the new ‘Stir It Up’ by Reggae icon Bob Marley.

Osebo on Thursday night told Sammy he has suffered worse than Blakk Rasta’s mockery at the hands of the Ghanaian public for his fashion choices but was unshaken.

“You know what Ghanaians do to me on social media. And I will give them more to talk about,” he said.

He cited Daddy Lumba’s hit song ‘Yentie Obia (We Won’t Mind Anyone)’ as his buttress.

He compared gearing up to release more pictures of himself in unconventional clothing to aiming for Tamale having reached the Achimota Mall en route from Accra.

“So you see, I still have a long way to go. So, if you want to talk about my fashion sense, you’ll exhaust your data,” he warned.

He stressed that he is sticking to his fashion choices until he is seen “walking on international red carpets [and] that is when they’ll show me respect. Mark it on the wall. Very soon, you’ll see that.”

On why the fashionista who appears to cross-dress at times never responds to his critics, he said it is because “my attention is too expensive. I am always [focused on] making money every minute of the time I have.”

You can’t scare me with your Kindergarten vocabulary – Blakk Rasta to Nana Aba

Blakk Rasta has slasmmed Nana Aba Anamoah for calling him “cheap and basic” .

Earlier in the quest to defend Sarkodie, whom Blakk Rasta attacked for his feature on Bob Marley’s ‘Stir It Up’ remix, Nana Aba Anamoah replied using three ‘strong’ words in response: hogwash, inebriated and ire.

“You’re not the only human being on this planet who adores Bob Marley. You’re not wiser than the managers of his estate. This desecration placards you’re wielding makes you look rather inebriated than concerned. Sark was featured because he’s superb. DEAL WITH IT!

“…and oh Blakkrasta stop hiding behind your so called claim of ‘desecration’ because it’s hogwash. Be bold enough to express your ire at the decision to feature Sark. You wanted it eh? Be bold enough to express your ire at the decision to feature Sark.” she wrote.

Not too long after Nana Aba’s comments, Blakk Rasta stormed Twitter with a series of replies.

“Sis, it will be awesome to have you on my show on at 3FM. I will invite Stonebwoy along to discuss Putuu as well. Maybe the Bobmarley family will help you understand the hook in Bob’s Buffalo Soldier which goes like Woo yo yo Woo wo yoyo,” One of his responses read.

Revisiting the issue in an interview with Zionfelix where he analyzed the choice of words Nana Aba Anamoah used during her first reply, Blakk Rasta said:

Sarkodie’s issue came up and all of a sudden you showed up trying to scare me with your kindergarten vocabulary. Kindergarten vocabulary! Words that little children usually play with. That means that you don’t even know who Blakk Rasta is. When I see words like that, I laugh because for me, it is infantile.

“She put it at the end that I should stop hiding and that I’m not the only one who loves Bob Marley. She said I should stop hiding under the banner of desecration to fight Sarkodie. She said I am jealous of the fact that Sarkodie was chosen for the project and not me. She said I should deal with it. Do you know what that means?” he added.

Osebo sends encrypted message following Blakk Rasta’s attack on his personality

Ghanaian fashionista and businessman, Osebo The Zaraman has dominated social media conversations following a post made on him by singer and radio presenter, Blakk Rasta on February 7.

Blakk Rasta in a viral tweet, according to tweeps, mocked Osebo’s fashion sense when he shared two photos of the businessman rocking what is termed women’s clothing.

Blakk’s move of sharing Osebo’s photos on Twitter was to spite Nana Aba Anamoah, the ex-partner and baby mama of the fashionista following a banter he (Blakk Rasta) had with the female broadcaster.

Osebo has subsequently shared a post to educate the public on the need to be slow to anger when provoked.

In a video shared on his Instagram story, Osebo hammered that it is only a fool who makes stupid statements, but a wise man is always measured.

In the video sighted by GhanaWeb he said: “Kwame Preko, I want to remind you of your father’s wise saying and advice to you…the words of a man will determine whether or not he is wise. So Kwame, don’t be foolish. This is my advice to you, don’t be quick to speak when angry.”

He added: “Think before you speak because, in the heat of the moment, you will spew nonsense…so don’t be a fool who speaks foolishly.”

About the Blakk Rasta, Nana Aba altercation

When Blakk Rasta termed rapper Sarkodie’s verse on the re-make of ‘Stir It Up’ as “one-way rap” adding that the feature was a total disrespect to Bob Marley, Nana Aba Anamoah and a couple of personalities condemned his statement.

The broadcaster rebuked Blakk Rasta for belittling and thrashing rapper Sarkodie’s verse.

The two were engaged in banter on Twitter with both parties throwing shots at each other.

However, on February 7, Blakk decided to involve Nana Aba’s former partner in their feud.

Blakk Rasta also schools Nana Aba in his latest clap back

Blakk Rasta and broadcaster Nana Aba Anamoah have been engaged in a back-and-forth on Twitter over the former’s comment on Sarkodie’s feature with Jamaican reggae legend, Bob Marley.

Blakk on his radio show asserted that the late Bob Marley will be greatly disappointed over the remake of one of his classic love songs, ‘Stir It Up’ which features Sarkodie.

Describing Sarkodie’s rap as one-way, he said: “What Sarkodie did was nothing but a desecration of the legacy of Bob Marley…It is like a king has been buried and you go and dig him up, and steal the gold and diamonds that he’s been buried with.”

Nana Aba Anamoah was quick to point out Blakk Rasta for making bad songs, adding that he was quick to discredit Sarkodie and even try to get the attention of Bob Marley’s estate and family on all the reasons why Sark is the worst candidate for the remake of “Stir It Up.”

In her recent tweet, she shared a clip of Blakk’s song where he sang in Chinese and asked him to explain the lyrics to Ghanaians.

“Bro, on the Marley -Sark feature, I’ve said what I have to say to you. Marley’s children & his estate managers are doing what they deem fit for his legacy. Keep catching feelings,” she wrote.

Blakk Rasta in a quick clap back, wrote: “Sis, it will be awesome to have you on my show on @3fm927. I will invite @stonebwoy along to discuss Putuu as well. Explain the content of your Chinese song- Nana Aba asks Blakk Rasta

Nana Aba Anamoah has agreed to be a guest on Blakk Rasta‘s radio show on the condition that Sarkodie’s appearance on Bob Marley’s “Stir It Up” tune would not be discussed.

The media personality instead asked Blakk Rasta to prepare explanations for portions of a track he put together with lyrics purporting to be in Chinese.

“Bro, on the Marley-Sark feature, I’ve said what I have to say to you. Marley’s children & his estate managers are doing what they deem fit for his legacy. Keep catching feelings. I’d however, be happy to come on your show to discuss this song instead. Mentease3!!” she tweeted at Blakk Rasta on February 5.

The ‘Barack Obama’ singer had challenged Nana Aba to appear on his show to discuss his views on the Sarkodie-Bob Marley feature, which he described as a desecration of the legend’s status accusing Sarkodie of putting in a sub-par performance.

“Awww.. As if you’re stranger to Blakk Rasta. I have never hidden my true feelings and agenda. Could you, please say which of the reasons I intimated is HOGWASH. Blakk Rasta hits back at Bullgod over ‘Blakk Rasta is stressed out’ comments

Ghanaian musician and radio personality, Blakk Rasta has reacted to some comments from artiste manager Bullgod that Ghanaians should not take the former serious because he is stressed out.

Bullgod was reacting to an earlier comment from Blakk Rasta about rapper Sarkodie being featured on Bob Marley’s “Stir It Up” song.

The “Daaro Daaro” musician, responding to Bullgod’s assertion about him in a tweet, said that if he is stressed as the artiste manager claims, then he (Bullgod), who spent time in jail for irresponsibility and making bizarre comments is more stressed.

“Even he who has been locked up severally by the police for careless, deranged utterances and, bears the middle name of a castrated DOG is not stressed. What a world!” he said.

On February 6, 2023, Bullgod revealed that mental health is not taken seriously in Ghana, which is why Blakk Rasta has been making headlines for expressing that Sarkodie’s feature with Bob Marley is a desecration to his song, ‘Stir it Up’.

According to the artiste manager, a close examination of the “Black Pot show host” reveals that Blakk Rasta is going through so much.

Blakk Rasta is stressed. We do not take mental health seriously. There is a lot of stress in this country. Blakk Rasta is stressed,” he said.

‘Let’s take mental health seriously’- Bulldog reacts to Blakk Rasta’s comment

Artiste Manager, Lawrence Asiamah Hanson, better known as Bulldog has attributed Blakk Rasta’s rant on Bob Marley’s ‘Stir it up’ featuring Ghana’s rapper, Sarkodie on poor mental health state.

On his show, Reggae Musician cum Radio Presenter, Blakk Rasta mentioned that Bob Marley will be rolling in his grave over Sarkodie’s feature on his classic ‘Stir it up’ because Sarkodie’s verse on the song is a desecration of the legacy of the legendary musician.

“What Sarkodie did is just a desecration of the legacy of Bob Marley. It’s so shameful. What Sarkodie did is nothing but the desecration of the music king. It’s like a king has been buried and you go and dig him up and steal the gold and diamonds he was buried with,” Blakk Rasta explained.

Responding to this comment on the United Showbiz Show on Saturday, February 4, 2023, Bulldog dismissed the comments of Blakk Rasta and blamed his behaviour on what he described as the outcome of stress and poor mental health.

Explaining his stance, the artiste manager indicated that, like Blakk Rasta evaluated the demeanor of songstress Efya and concluded that she is on drugs, he also believes that judging from the comments, thought pattern and appearance of Blakk Rasta at the time of his rants epitomize a person under mental stress.

“Mental health is something we as Ghanaians don’t take seriously. Blakk Rasta is stressed and that is a case we don’t take seriously in Ghana, ” Bulldog said.

He added, “There’s a lot of stress, so people come from that angle when they speak. Like he made conclusions on Efya based on her appearance, look at him, clear he is stressed.”

  • Three strong words Nana Aba Anamoah used on Blakk Rasta

Three strong words Nana Aba Anamoah used on Blakk Rasta

Black Rasta wasn’t spared by Nana Aba Anamoah when she stormed Twitter with a counterattack at the former’s earlier trolls against Sarkodie.

Nana Aba, who has established a great bond with Sarkodie over the years, rose to the rapper’s defense against Blakk Rasta who has described his verse on Bob Marley’s ‘Stir It Up’ as a total desecration.

Earlier, in a barrage of rants both on social media and on his radio platform, the ‘Barack Obama’ hitmaker described the song as a total disaster.

“What Sarkodie did was nothing but a desecration of the legacy of Bob Marley. It is so shameful, what Sarkodie did is nothing but a desecration of the holy music…should I go deeper? It is like a king has been buried and you go and dig him up, and steal the gold and diamonds that he’s been buried with,” he stated during his show on 3FM

“So, Stephen Marley, Ziggy Marley, Julian Marley, and Cedella Marley, what’s this new craze of DESECRATING Bob Marley’s music with these posthumous collaborations? Would Bob have sanctioned this if he was alive today? Remember what he said about his music and Barry White’s music? Stop this!” Blakk Rasta added on Twitter.

His outbursts, however, did not augur well for some individuals, as the likes of Arnold Asamoah Baidoo, Efya and others have responded to him

But Nana Aba Anamoah who has been silent all these while stormed Twitter to serve Blakk Rasta with a strong reply.

The popular media personality, who is well-known for her command over the English language tackled the reggae musician, by building her points around three key words.

“You’re not the only human being on this planet who adores Bob Marley. You’re not wiser than the managers of his estate. This desecration placards you’re wielding makes you look rather inebriated than concerned. Sark was featured because he’s superb. DEAL WITH IT!

…and oh Blakkrasta stop hiding behind your so called claim of ‘desecration’ because it’s hogwash. Be bold enough to express your ire at the decision to feature Sark. You wanted it eh?” she wrote.

According to the Cambridge dictionary, inebriated is just a fancy way of saying an individual is ‘drunk’. It is an extreme state of intoxication or having drunk too much alcohol.

Hogwash is complete nonsense, lies, or ridiculous actions. It could also mean an unacceptable behavior (especially ludicrously false statements). This definition was by vocabulary.com

According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, Ire, suggests an intense anger, often with an evident display of feeling. It could also mean an intense emotional state induced by displeasure.

You’re not wiser than the managers of Bob Marley’s estate – Nana Aba replies Blakk Rasta

Media personality, Nana Aba Anamoah has responded to a recent jibe directed at Sarkodie by radio presenter cum musician, Blakk Rasta.

The presenter, commenting on a recent collaboration between Bob Marley and the Ghanaian rapper claimed that the legendary Raggae musician would have been unhappy with Sarkodie’s contribution.

He also questioned why the managers of Marley’s estate chose Sarkodie before lambasting the rapper for giving a sub-par performance.

“You’re not the only human being on this planet who adores Bob Marley. You’re not wiser than the managers of his estate. This desecration placard you’re wielding makes you look rather inebriated than concerned. Sark was featured because he’s superb. DEAL WITH IT!” Anamoah tweeted on February 4.

She added in a followup tweet “…and oh Blakkrasta stop hiding behind your so called claim of ‘desecration’ because it’s hogwash.”

Bob Marley will be rolling in his grave over Sarkodie’s one-way rap that was placed along the lyrics of ‘Stir It up,’ Blakk Rasta intimated on his radio programme on 3FM.

“You urinate right into the grave and walk away, laughing like a madman on heat. It hurt me so much that I decided never to talk about this issue,” he said.

Blakk Rasta sided with controversial entertainment pundit, Mr Logic, who had earlier said there was nothing special about Sarkodie’s re-make of ‘Stir It Up’.

Blakk Rasta rated the new project as a disaster. He said: “The thing Mr Logic said is going to bruise some ego but I’m going to bruise more ego with what am going to say.

“What Sarkodie did was nothing but a desecration of the legacy of Bob Marley. It is so shameful, what Sarkodie did is nothing but a desecration of the holy music…should I go deeper? It is like a king has been buried and you go and dig him up, and steal the gold and diamonds that he’s been buried with.”

Vocal Ghanaian musician and radio presenter, Blakk Rasta, known as Abubakar Ahmed in private life, has been chastising Sarkodie following his feature on Bob Marley’s ‘Stir It Up’ new version.

A section of Ghanaian music fans was happy when the news about the collaboration broke.

As expected, there were others who spoke against it.

While many of us think it is normal for some opposition fans to lead the crusade of criticizing the collaboration, Blakk Rasta, who is very knowledgeable in the music business, has turned out to be the number critic of Sarkodie and Bob Marley’s collaboration.

On Friday, February 3, 2023, the 3FM presenter took to Twitter to ask about the importance of posthumous collaborations.

He queried if the reggae legend would have sanctioned such collaborations if he was alive today.

After his tweet, entertainment pundit and writer, Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo replied.

In his reply sighted by Zionfelix.net, Arnold stated that Blakk Rasta is doing “way too much” with his criticisms targeted at Sarkodie and Bob Marley.

Blakk Rasta tackles Efya after she described his songs as ‘funny’

Blakk Rasta has reacted to a recent comment passed about his music by Ghanaian songstress Efya.

He had a few things to get off his chest after Efya described his music as funny, which he strongly countered.

This week has witnessed two Ghanaian artistes dominating social media trends.

In an interview with GHONE TV, Efya stated that she had no idea who Blakk Rasta was, but went on to describe his music as amusing.

Her statement was influenced by Blakk’s ‘harsh’ comment about Sarkodie’s feature with Bob Marley.

“Who is that? He’s a rapper; he’s a what?…he’s a radio journalist?… But journalists say what they want they don’t care. I don’t think I know who he is. What does he do, radio?… Oh that funny man, yeah yeah yeah. He does funny songs, right? Listen, everyone for himself, God for us all,” these were the words of Efya.

In Blakk’s response on his radio show on 3FM, the reggae musician noted that he doesn’t take offence when people don’t recognize him; however, the claim that he does funny music “is all wrong”.

“Listen Blakk Rasta is a man you can describe using anything but to describe my music as funny, I think that she got it all wrong…again when I looked at her face, I saw some genuineness. I don’t think she intended to embarrass Blakk Rasta, she is just not aware of her environment,” he jabbed.

According to the reggae singer famed for his song titled ‘Barack Obama’, the female vocalist has abused drugs all her life and can’t be blamed when she spews nonsense on television.

“I am not that kind of artiste who is haughty…When I looked at the video, I sympathized with Efya. She looked so morose and totally hypnotized like somebody swallowed up by drugs.”

He added: “She said that Blakk Rasta is the guy who does funny songs. Surprisingly a number of people were sending me this video, talking about it. Some were angry, but hear me now, listen; I am not angry when people do not recognize me, never. That is why people say Blakk Rasta is so humble and I believe that I am humble. I thank God the Almighty Father for making me humble.”

Efya denies knowing Blakk Rasta during an interview

Sensational Ghanaian songstress, Efya, has revealed that she does not know who Blakk Rasta is.

Efya made this surprising revelation when she was recently interviewed on GhOne TV’s Rhythms show.

When the host of the show brought the name of Blakk Rasta up during the interview, she said ‘Who is that? He is a rapper? He is a radio presenter?’

The “Jorley” hitmaker, after being given some clues by the host of the show, admitted that she knows the 3FM presenter and described him as a funny man who does funny music.

Efya went further to state that it is not really necessary for her to know all the people in the music industry because she believes in the principle of each one for him/herself, God for us all.

“Blakk Rasta attacks Efya and says, “Drugs have destroyed you”

Ghanaian reggae artist Blakk Rasta has attacked on celebrated female singer Efya Nokturnal.

According to him, Efya has allowed drugs to destroy her soul and thus should allow herself to be healed.

His harsh comments came after Efya had said he did not know who Blakk Rasta was when she was speaking during an interview on GhOne TV.

Efya Nokturnal, even after he was helped to recognize Blakk Rasta, went on to describe him as the “funny musician who did funny songs.”

“I don’t know who Blakk Rasta is. Is he the radio journalist that does funny music ? Journalist say what they want but Ghanaian musicians don’t care”

These words did not sit well with Blakk Rasta, who decided to berate Efya and tell her to desist from the use and abuse of drugs, which could have clouded her knowledge of him.

In a quick rebuttal, Blakk Rasta wrote: Sad what DRUGS can do to a beautiful soul. Be delivered and healed, in JESUS name!

    Background

Blakk Rssta on his show on 3FM had described Sarkodie’s latest work with Bob Marley as a desecration of the Reggae genre. According to him, the rapper was not the right fit for the project.

“What Sarkodie was nothing but a desecration of the legacy of Bob Marley. It is so shameful. What Sarkodie did is nothing but a desecration of the holy music of Bob Marley. It is like a king has been buried and you go and dig him up and steal his gold and diamonds that he’s been buried with. Urinate right into the grave and walk away laughing like a mad man on heat.

Sarkodie allowed himself to be used to desecrate the legacy of Bob Marley. What is special about what he did, the one way rap which has been on all these years. What Sarkodie does is one-way rap”, Blakk Rasta fumed.

These words obviously did not sit well with Efya who denied knowledge of him which has resulted in Blakk Rasta attacking him and calling her names.
