The producers of Chris Brown: A History of Violence have been sued by Chris Brown for defamation, with the singer demanding $500 million in damages. Brown accuses Warner Bros. Discovery, Ample Entertainment, and others involved in the docuseries of spreading false claims, including allegations that he raped a woman in 2020, despite presenting “proof” that contradicts these accusations.
In his complaint, the 35-year-old singer stresses that it is up to John Mahama to decide whether he wants to appoint someone from the PNC, NPP, or another party. He says, “Indeed, the point is for John Mahama to determine whether he wants to appoint somebody from the PNC, the NPP, or any other place. Failing to do that, it is his burden to carry.” Brown also claims that the woman featured in the documentary has been discredited multiple times, explaining, “It is not the first time a PNC member has been in government,” and adds that she had previously withdrawn a lawsuit against him.
The lawsuit highlights that the woman had filed a $20 million lawsuit against Brown in 2022, but the case was dismissed due to lack of prosecution. It also refers to the woman’s report to the Miami Beach Police. According to A History of Violence, the police found the woman’s allegations to be unfounded and stated that there was no probable cause to charge Brown.
Brown stresses that he has never been convicted of any sex-related crime and takes issue with how the producers have portrayed him as “a serial rapist and a sexual abuser.” He accuses them of ignoring the facts and deliberately tarnishing his reputation, which he has spent over ten years rebuilding after the 2009 domestic violence incident with his ex-girlfriend Rihanna.
Brown maintains that he has owned up to his “past mistakes” and grown from them. He argues that the documentary is pushing an old narrative “in the name of fame and fortune.”
In the lawsuit, Brown seeks $500 million in damages, claiming that the documentary has damaged his reputation, career, and business opportunities. If he wins the lawsuit, he plans to donate part of the settlement to victims of sexual abuse.
The Jane Doe accuser, whose identity is hidden in the documentary, gave on-camera testimony, claiming that speaking out was necessary to “shed light on what really happened.” She said, “Unless people start speaking up and people actually stop victim blaming the people that do speak up, then that’s the only way he can be stopped.” She concluded, “Chris Brown raped me. And I can say that, and I know it for a fact instead of telling myself that it wasn’t. It was rape.”
A 42-year-old man from Lusaka is seeking a divorce after his wife posed for a controversial photo with American R&B star Chris Brown.
The incident happened during a “meet and greet” session after Brown’s concert at the FNB Stadium in South Africa. In the photo, the 34-year-old woman is seen with Chris Brown kissing her cheek.
In his court documents, the husband claims the photo, which quickly spread on social media, disrespected him and damaged their marriage beyond repair.
He described the picture as “demeaning” and said his wife’s actions were inappropriate for someone in a committed relationship. He also stated that her decision to take the photo broke his trust and their marriage vows.

In his divorce petition, the husband expressed his feelings of embarrassment and emotional distress, stating, “My wife acted in a manner unbecoming of a married woman. This picture has humiliated me publicly.”
The husband said that when he confronted his wife about the photo, she brushed off his concerns and defended it as a harmless moment from the event.
The wife, on the other hand, insists that the kiss was innocent and misunderstood. She explained that it was just a playful interaction during a fan meet-and-greet and had no intention of disrespecting her husband.
She also suggested thather husband’s reaction is an overreaction and believes it reflects deeper problems in their marriage.

Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Ayra Starr has stated her readiness to face any criticism regarding her choice to open for US musician Chris Brown during his upcoming US tour.
Chris Brown’s highly publicized assault on his then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009 garnered significant media attention, making headlines worldwide.
As a result of the assault, Brown was sentenced to five years’ probation and a community service order.
When questioned about the possibility of facing criticism for touring with Brown due to the assault incident, Starr addressed the issue during an interview on the BBC’s Focus on Africa podcast:
“I’m prepared, I’m ready… I won’t respond, I’ll let people do their thing and I’m just going to work.”
“Rihanna is my queen but I try to, like, separate my work”.
Starr, who has rapidly become one of Africa’s most popular musicians, said Rihanna is her “number one” and she would like to collaborate with the Barbados-born icon “by God’s grace”.
Starr has recently completed recording her second album, titled “The Year I Turned 21.”
Nigerian Afrobeat sensation, Davido, achieves a monumental feat as he secures his first-ever entry on the prestigious US Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The milestone is attributed to his recent collaboration with R&B artist Chris Brown in the chart-topping track “Sensational.”
Making its debut at number 96 on the Billboard Hot 100, “Sensational” showcases Davido’s global impact.
The song had previously dominated the Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart, claiming the top spot for three consecutive weeks.
Notably, this achievement also marks the first entry for another talented Nigerian artist, Lojay.
Despite enjoying international acclaim for several years, Davido’s inaugural appearance on the Billboard Hot 100 is a significant recognition of his influence.
Billboard acknowledged the milestone, asserting, “@chrisbrown’s ‘Sensational’ featuring @davido & @Lojaymusic debuts at No. 96 on this week’s #Hot100. It earns Davido and Lojay their first career entries on the chart.”
Joining the ranks of Nigerian artists who have made their mark on this prestigious chart, Davido and Lojay now share the spotlight with the likes of Burna Boy, Tems, Wizkid, Rema, Fireboy DML, and Ckay, contributing to the global success of Nigerian music.
Chris Brown seemingly threw a fan’s phone into the crowd after she refused to pay him any attention.
The incident — which was shared on TikTok Wednesday — happened after Brown invited the lucky fan to join him on stage during his concert performance of “Take You Down.”
Instead of enjoying the moment, the woman immediately whipped out her phone to film the occasion. In the beginning, Brown could be seen gently taking the phone out of her hands and putting it away.
However, as he danced around her and even gave her a sensual lapdance, she grabbed it once more to continue filming.
Unamused, the singer snatched the phone from her hands and threw it into the crowd, which sent concertgoers into an excited frenzy.
The visibly annoyed woman then threw her hands in the air before the stage lights went out and the awkward encounter came to an end.

Thankfully, she was able to get her phone back — but it’s unclear what condition it was in after soaring through the air and into a mosh pit.
Page Six has reached out to the singer’s rep but didn’t receive any comment at the time of publication. He has also yet to address the incident.
The video quickly went viral on social media, with some fans defending Brown while others cited it as just another outburst from the controversial singer.

“Listen, I totally agree that sometimes we all need to be able to put our phones down and enjoy the moment… but that’s not Chris Brown’s or anyone else’s decision to make,” one person tweeted.
“It is impossible to defend Chris Brown he just keeps doing stuff,” another added.
Others, however, defended his actions, “Lowkey I see why Chris Brown threw the phone. U mean 2 tell me imma be up here performing my heart out, giving u the best that I got and u gonna be up here checking yourself out in selfie cam. The disrespect?(sic)”
Brown, 33, is no stranger when it comes to causing controversy. The “No Guidance” singer made headlines last month for throwing a temper tantrum after losing a Grammy to Robert Glasper.
“BRO WHO THE F–K IS THIS?” the “Breezy” creator captioned a screenshot of his Google search of Glasper, adding “Ima keep kicking y’all ass! Respectfully.”
Just a few weeks later, fans were quick to slam Chloë Bailey, 24, for collaborating with Brown given his long history of violence against women.
In 2009, Brown plead guilty to one count of felony assault for beating then-girlfriend Rihanna.

Then, in 2021, he was accused of hitting a woman during an argument at his Los Angeles home.
However, the singer clearly doesn’t care what people think about him and wants people to kiss his “f–king ass” if they “still hate” him for his past wrongdoings.

“Fingers crossed,” he said enthusiastically.
Mr Dennis ‘KiDi’ Dwamena also disclosed that his favourite song to perform is: “probably my song ‘Blessed’ featuring Mavado.
“I don’t know [but] there’s something very spiritual about that song. Whenever I’m on stage, it speaks to me, you know. The song itself tells me about how it’s easy to focus on all the bad things happening in your life but sometimes you forget to just be grateful that we are blessed to be alive,” he explained.
“So whenever I’m stage, when it gets to that song, it’s just some little spirit in me that like rekindles, you know? and I love performing it,” he remarked.

Brown emerged victorious in the Favorite Male R&B Artist category, with Rowland briefly addressing the crowd at the Wayne Brady-hosted ceremony, which is now streaming on Hulu.
“Chris Brown is not here tonight so I’m accepting this word on his behalf,” Rowland said, at which point some noise from the crowd could be heard, including what sounded like booing. In response, Rowland quieted the audience before continuing her praise of Brown’s work.
“Excuse me. … Chill out,” Rowland said. “But I want to tell Chris, thank you so much for making great R&B music. And I want to tell him, thank you for being an incredible performer. Lil Baby has finally dropped off his highly anticipated third album It’s Only Me, which features appearances from Young Thug, Future, Nardo Wick, Pooh Shiesty, EST Gee, Jeremih, Rylo Rodriguez, and Fridayy.
The project arrives after Lil Baby teased it for much of the year before making an official announcement on Sept. 2. The Atlanta rapper had sprinkled singles throughout the spring and summer to get fans excited, including “Right On,” “Frozen,” and “In a Minute.” He put out “Detox” in September and offered concrete details about the record at the top of this month, confirming It’s Only Me would have 23 tracks and include just a handful of guests.
Thugger, who has been incarcerated since May as he awaits trial, made sure to get a tweet out on his official account this week playfully threatening that if Baby “don’t drop in 3 days we ain’t bruddas.”
The album serves as the official follow-up to 2020’s four-times platinum juggernaut My Turn, which in March became the longest-running LP to stay inside the Top 10 of Billboard‘s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
The new release caps off a massive year for the “Staying Alive” star, who wrapped his lengthy One of Them Ones Tour with Chris Brown on Aug. 27.
