PSV bid for Black Stars winger Kamaldeen Sulemena

Ghana international, Kamaldeen Sulemana could leave French Ligue 1 side Stade Rennais FC before the close of the January transfer window.

Since the transfer window opened, the talented winger has been the subject of two offers already.

Your most trusted online portal can report that the former FC Nordsjaelland man is wanted by both Southampton and Dutch Eredivisie side PSV.

Checks made have confirmed that both clubs have submitted bids to Stade Rennais in a bid to secure the services of Kamaldeen Sulemana.

It is understood that the two clubs presented offers in the region of €17m for the Ghana winger but both offers were rejected.

Reports in France indicate that Kamaldeen Sulemana fancies a move away from Stade Rennais in search of regular playing time which has become hard to come by this season.

  • Mohammed Kudus has been a victim of tactical experiments – Aad de Mos

Former Ajax manager, Adriaan de Mos has advised Alfred Schreuder on how to get the best out of Mohammed Kudus.

Aad de Mos believes the Ghana international has been largely played out of position this season.

And according to the veteran manager, Kudus is best fit in the number 10 role where he can create and score as well.

“I think there is one position where he can work well. That is the position he also played in Ghana. This boy wants to work, move and get into the box with the ball. That’s a nice thing, but he shouldn’t be the victim of tactical experiments.” he told SoccerNews.nl.

“It is now, as a false number 9. That boy does it, but he is not really. My advice is to set him up as 10 and leave Brobbey at 9. You get two good players in return,” he added.

Kudus has been attracting interest from several clubs ahead of the winter transfer window, but de Mos has advised the Dutch champions against selling the midfielder.

“I would not sell Kudus. It will only increase in value if he gets the chance to play matches in a row at Ajax. If you don’t have the confidence of a coach, it’s very annoying for a player,” he continued.

“He got the confidence in Ghana and then he is one of the most striking players of the World Cup,” De Mos adds. “He has already shown it at Ajax in matches against Liverpool and Rangers. Then he is always there and shows his best side.”

Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund, Everton and other top European sides are all interested in the 22-year-old.

  • Qatar 2022: Black Stars will be back hungrier than ever – Elisha Owusu

Ghana international, Elisha Owusu, says the Black Stars will look to play with more hunger in their next assignment following their elimination from the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The Black Stars suffered a group-stage exit in Qatar following their 2-0 defeat to Uruguay in their final group game at the Al Janoub Stadium on Friday, December 2.

Ghan needed a draw to stand a chance of progress from the group heading into the final game but that result proved a difficult task as they succumbed to defeat.

Reacting to the exit, Owusu, who was one of six not to have gotten any minutes from the three games, said the team will be back better than ever while also thanking the fans for their support.

“First and foremost, I would like to acknowledge and thank our great fans for their consistently amazing support throughout the tournament,” he wrote on his Instagram page.

“Although we were not able to qualify, I am proud of my teammates for the hard work they put in on and off the pitch. I am sure with this determination and fight, that we will be back to give the wonderful fans of Ghana the performances they deserve.

“On a personal note, I am very thankful to have experienced the World Cup as this has always been a dream of mine. This would not be possible without God, which is why I am always grateful. I will continue to put in the hours off the pitch to ensure the future is bright.

“The Black Stars will be back stronger and hungrier than ever!” he added.

The exit from the group stage now means Ghana has suffered back-to-back exits in the first round of the World Cup in their last two apearances.

  • Ghana defender Daniel Amartey in action as Leicester City lose to Southampton at home

Ghana international Daniel Amartey featured for Leicester City in their 2-1 defeat to Southampton on match week three of the Premier League on Saturday.

Amartey lasted the entire duration of the game as Southampton came from behind to secure their first league win in nine games.

First he slotted in from seven yards out from Armel Bella-Kotchap’s ball after Leicester failed to clear a long throw-in.

Captain James Ward-Prowse lofted a cross into the box and Adams met it with an acrobatic volley which flew past Danny Ward.

Southampton’s victory was achieved after fielding the youngest Premier League starting line-up named by any club since May 2017, with an average age of 23 years and 238 days.
