Give to save Moesha’s life – Becca after donating $2000

Ghanaian musician Becca, also known as Rebecca Acheampong, has urged the public to contribute to actress Moesha Boduong’s ongoing GoFundMe campaign as she battles a stroke and remains hospitalized.

During an interview on Daybreak Hitz with Doreen Avio, Becca stressed the significance of rallying behind Moesha by extending a helping hand to “save a life.”

“I tell people that if God helps you and you don’t do the same to others, what then is the purpose? When I heard about it, I just said, she might not be my best friend, but she is a sister in the industry, so why not help her as much as I can,” Becca expressed.

Becca and her husband have already donated $2000 to support Moesha, emphasising the importance of standing together in times of need.

“I think it wasn’t Becca but more of Rebecca Acheampong that donated. I like to put myself in that space because I came together with my husband and donated that to her, and I hope it would help her out,” she added.

Becca encouraged Ghanaians to adopt a compassionate approach, urging them to support individuals facing challenges instead of being quick to pass judgement on their lifestyles.

“It is a definition of living a life. That is the problem I have with people. You live your life the way you want to live it as long as you are living it with the right morals,” she noted. “People misunderstand the industry; the fact that someone dresses nicely doesn’t mean they are collecting it (money) from somewhere. Everybody works and does something for themselves. Most of the time, this happens to women, and it’s very disrespectful.”

In a recent video making the rounds on social media, Moesha can be seen lying motionless in a very sad posture.

9-year-old boy fatally shot while playing at grandmother’s birthday celebration

At the party for his grandmother’s birthday, a 9-year-old kid was shot and killed.

When Ulysses Campos was shot in the chest on Saturday, he was “full of excitement as he was getting ready to celebrate his 10th birthday in 2 short weeks,” according to Karina Cazares, who created a GoFundMe campaign to pay for his memorial rites.

When someone inside a moving vehicle fired four to six shots at the group of kids while they were playing outside during the celebration for his grandma’s birthday in the Chicago suburb of Franklin Park, WLS reported on Monday.

Ulysses was rushed to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood. He died shortly before 11pm from the gunshot wound to his chest, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.

‘He was a kindhearted, loving kid, he loved playing video games with his cousins, he had a creative imagination, and was always full of excitement,’ states the GoFundMe page. ‘He is a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, and cousin. He will be eternally missed.’

Ulysses’ uncle told WLS that his father had just purchased a PlayStation game console to give to him for his birthday.

Cops found a suspect vehicle in unincorporated Leyden Township and have detained a person of interest.

The shooting on the 2800 block of Elder Lane around 10.15pm was isolated and there is no public threat, cops said.

A car with bullet holes through the window was still parked outside a home near Elder and Grand avenues where Ulysses’ family gathered and brought balloons to a makeshift memorial on Sunday.

Anyone with information or surveillance footage of the shooting is urged to contact the Franklin Park Police Department.

The fundraiser had garnered more than $14,000 as of Monday evening.

‘A tree will be planted in Uly Bear’s honor as a representation of his life and memory living on,’ states the GoFundMe page.

  • 20-year-old man killed with a knife outside a train station

20-year-old man killed with a knife outside a train station

After a son and brother was killed outside of a train station, his family paid tribute to the person who was “taken so suddenly and violently.”

South London’s Norwood Road, close to Tulse Hill station, saw the stabbing of Filipe Oliveira, 20, on Saturday.

In an effort to fund £10,000 for funeral expenses, his family put up a GoFundMe campaign. The goal has already been reached.

‘Filipe was one of the funniest guys you could meet, and always placed his friends and family first,’ Soraia Oliveira, whose relationship to Filipe is unknown, wrote on the website.

‘He would be willing to give his last pound away to someone else who needed it and shared everything he had.

‘Filipe was a very spiritual person and was using this to find himself and to become the good strong young man we knew he would grow to be.’

Also writing on the page in Portuguese, Soraia added his death was caused by ‘senseless knife crime with no provocation’.

‘He was a very much loved member of our family and his loss will be felt strongly forever,’ she added.

‘His friends are forever going to miss his company, jokes, laugh and smile.’

Soraia said ‘no one plans for someone to die at 20 years old’ when asking for help with the funeral, adding: ‘We love you forever.’

The Metropolitan Police is now looking to speak to any witnesses who may have seen a man who ran away from the scene.

Officers were called to the scene at around 5.55pm on Saturday and despite the efforts of paramedics, Filipe died at the scene.

It is thought he was stabbed in the doorway between the street and steps, leading to a communal area above the shops.

Detective chief inspector Kate Blackburn said: ‘Our investigation is making significant progress, but I am continuing to appeal for any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

‘I also want to hear from anyone who may have footage that will assist the investigation.

‘We are also keen to speak to a man described as black, of short build, who was wearing a blue hooded top and a blue Covid mask.

‘He ran away from the scene along Christchurch Road. I particularly want to hear from anyone who may have seen this man, or who has footage of him.

‘Of course, he may have discarded the mask shortly after the incident.’

No arrests have yet been made, but cordons in the area have since been removed.

Anyone with information should call 101 ref CAD 5605/15 Apr, or they can contact independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously.
