Israel denounces Lula of Brazil for comparing Gaza War to Holocaust

Israel is angry at Brazil’s president for saying Israel is killing a lot of people in Gaza, and that it’s like the Holocaust.

Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva said that in Israel’s military campaign, there was a strong army fighting against women and children.

The foreign minister of Israel said that Lula’s comments were antisemitic and that he is not welcome in the country until he takes back what he said.

The top Jewish group in Brazil also disapproved of Lula’s remarks.

Lula, who was at an African Union meeting in Ethiopia, said the situation in Gaza with the Palestinian people is unlike anything from the past. It really happened when Hitler chose to kill the Jews.

“It’s not a fight between soldiers. ” It’s a fight between a strong army and women and children.

The experienced politician on the liberal side criticized Hamas for attacking Israel on 7 October, killing over 1,200 people and taking 253 hostages.

But he has been openly against Israel’s military attack, which the health ministry in Gaza says has killed more than 28,800 people, mostly women and children.

His most recent words come after Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised to continue attacking Rafah – the southernmost city in Gaza, where around 1. 5 million people have fled – even though there is more and more pressure from other countries.

Israel’s Foreign Minister Israel Katz said they will remember and not forgive.

“It is a very harmful attack on Jewish people. ” From me and the people of Israel – tell President Lula that he is not welcome in Israel until he takes back what he said.

Mr Netanyahu said that Lula’s comments were making the Holocaust seem less important and trying to hurt the Jewish people and Israel’s right to protect itself.

“He said it’s not okay to compare Israel to the Holocaust of the Nazis and Hitler. ”

Hitler’s Nazi government killed six million Jewish people in the 1930s and 1940s.

Israel asked the Brazilian ambassador to come for a meeting on Monday.

The main Jewish organization in Brazil, the Brazilian Israelite Confederation, said that Lula’s comments were a twisted version of the truth that hurt the memory of Holocaust victims and their descendants.

Lula supported South Africa’s accusation of genocide against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) last year.

In January, judges at the ICJ said that South Africa can keep going with its case against Israel.

The court told Israel to stop its military from doing things that could be considered genocidal, to stop and punish actions that encourage genocide, and to make sure the people of Gaza receive help.

However, the court did not demand that Israel stop its military operations in Gaza right away.

Brazil and South Africa are part of a group called Brics. It’s a team of important developing countries that are working together to challenge richer Western nations.

The World Health Organization said that the Nasser hospital in Gaza can no longer work after it was attacked by Israel. The IDF said it did a careful and small operation and blamed Hamas for using hospitals for terrorism.

“Right now, people are trying to make Israel and Hamas stop fighting in Cairo. But the people from Qatar who are helping don’t think it’s going very well. “

  • Israel gives Gaza’s ground offensive in Rafah until March

Israel gives Gaza’s ground offensive in Rafah until March

Benny Gantz, a member of the Israeli government, said that if Hamas doesn’t release all the people they are holding captive in Gaza by 10 March, the Israeli military will attack Rafah.

This is the first time Israel has mentioned when its soldiers might go into the crowded city of Gaza in the south.

Many people around the world are speaking out against the attack in Rafah, where 1. 5 million Palestinians live.

Before, the UN public health agency said that a important hospital in Gaza stopped working after an attack by Israel.

The World Health Organization (WHO) said it wasn’t allowed to go into Nasser hospital in Khan Yunis to check on things.

The IDF went into the building on Thursday because they had information that Hamas had taken hostages and were keeping them there.

The IDF said their mission in Nasser was careful and not big, and they blamed Hamas for using hospitals for terror.

Mr Gantz, who used to be in charge of defending the country, said on Sunday that if our hostages are not returned by the end of Ramadan, there will be more fighting in many places, including the Rafah area.

Ramadan is the important month of fasting for Muslims, and it starts on 10 March this year.

Mr Gantz said that Israel will work together with the US and Egypt to help civilians leave safely and try to avoid hurting them.

The Israeli war cabinet is made up of the most important people in charge of keeping the country safe. It was created a few days after Hamas fighters attacked Israel on October 7th, killing over 1,200 people and holding 253 hostages. Hamas has 130 hostages in Gaza, according to Israel.

Mr Gantz mentioned Egypt, which could mean Israel thinks some Palestinians may leave Gaza and go to Egypt. It seems like Egypt is making a big wall to keep them safe. This was reported by the BBC’s Paul Adams.

But the Israeli government has not shared any information about how they will evacuate people.

In three weeks Ramadan will start. Some people in Rafah are leaving and going to the coast, but most are still waiting and don’t know what to do.

Even though other countries are telling him not to, the leader of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, has promised to send troops into Rafah to get rid of the Hamas fighters there.

Egypt and some other Arab countries have said many times that if Israel attacks there, it could force a lot of Palestinians into Egypt. They don’t think this is okay. Saudi Arabia has promised that there will be big consequences if Rafah is attacked.

Many countries have told Israel not to attack a city in Gaza where the people are living in very bad conditions. The US, which is an important friend of Israel, warned that attacking the city without careful planning would be a very bad idea.

Israel has been attacking Hamas since 7 October and has caused a lot of damage to the Gaza Strip.

Over 28,400 Palestinians, mainly women and children, have died and over 68,000 have been injured since the war started, according to the health ministry run by Hamas.

The government says that at least 127 people from Palestine have died and 205 others were hurt in the last day.

Even though the conflict in Gaza is still going on, people have been trying to make a peace agreement between Israel and Hamas in Cairo. However, mediators from Qatar said that there hasn’t been much progress.

Mr Netanyahu said he sent people to talk after President Biden asked, but they didn’t go back for more talks because Hamas wanted things that were not reasonable.

Hamas said Israel is not making progress in getting a ceasefire.

  • Israel stands firm against unilateral imposition of Palestinian state

Israel stands firm against unilateral imposition of Palestinian state

Israel has officially declared its opposition to what it perceives as the unilateral recognition of Palestinian statehood, insisting that any such recognition must be achieved through direct negotiations.

Prime Minister Netanyahu brought the “declaratory decision” to a vote in the cabinet, which was unanimously approved, as reported earlier in the day.

Netanyahu emphasized during the weekly meeting that this move follows recent discussions in the international community about potential attempts to unilaterally impose a Palestinian state on Israel.

Efforts to establish a two-state solution, with a Palestinian state in the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Gaza alongside Israel, have remained stagnant for decades.

According to a statement from Netanyahu’s office, Israel categorically rejects any international mandates regarding a permanent agreement with the Palestinians. It asserts that any agreement must be reached through direct negotiations without preconditions.

The statement further asserts that Israel will continue to oppose the unilateral recognition of a Palestinian state. It warns that such recognition, especially following recent events, would reward terrorism and impede any prospects for future peace agreements.

  • Patients at Gaza’s Nasser Hospital afraid as Israeli raid goes on

Patients at Gaza’s Nasser Hospital afraid as Israeli raid goes on

The Israeli military says its special forces are still in the Nasser hospital in Gaza and they are carrying out a mission against Hamas there.

Israel started a mission on Thursday that it said was careful and not too big. The army says it has arrested many people they think are involved in terrorism.

Hamas said the claim was not true.

The WHO said the facility urgently needs fuel to keep providing life-saving services.

The hospital in Khan Younis had a power outage and couldn’t give oxygen, so five people died, the health ministry said.

These deaths have not been confirmed by another source.

Nasser is the main hospital in southern Gaza. It is one of the few hospitals still open and there has been a lot of fighting between the IDF and Hamas there for days.

On Wednesday, the Israeli army told lots of people who had been staying there to go away.

Tarik Jasarevic, who works for the WHO, said that there are now reports that the orthopaedic unit has been damaged.

“He said it’s harder to give quick medical help. There are still very sick patients at the hospital. ”

“The more the hospital gets worse, the more people die. ”

Nahed Abu-Teima, the director of Nasser hospital, said to the media that the situation inside the hospital is really bad and very risky.

Pictures confirmed by the media showed doctors and nurses quickly moving patients on beds through a hallway that was full of smoke or dust.

“Nasser Hospital is surrounded and we have no water or food,” said Raed Abed, a man who was injured and forced to leave the hospital. He told the Associated Press.

“Trash is everywhere, and there is sewage overflowing in the emergency room. ”

The IDF thinks that Hamas has been using hospitals and other places where civilians go for protection while doing military activities.

“We can’t let Hamas go free, we need to make sure they are found and stopped,” said Lt Col Peter Lerner, spokesperson for IDF, in an interview with the media.

He said the military worked very hard to move people from the hospital to keep them safe and denied targeting civilians.

The IDF caught 20 Hamas members at the hospital who were involved in the 7 October attacks on Israel.

It also reported that it found weapons, like grenades, at the building.

The army is also looking for Israeli hostages’ bodies that might be hidden in the hospital based on information from intelligence.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said that Israeli tanks were attacking the nearby Al-Amal hospital and causing a lot of damage to two nursing rooms.

They posted on social media that no one had been injured.

There have been a lot of fights near the hospital lately. The PRCS was “raided” last week because 8,000 people had to leave.

On Friday, they said that two doctors who were taken by the police were let go, but 12 other staff members were still in jail.

Israel started to attack after groups of Hamas fighters crossed into Israel on 7 October. They killed around 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and took 253 others as hostages to Gaza.

The health ministry in charge of Hamas says that over 28,700 people, mostly women and children, have been killed in Israel’s attack.

Israel is being told to be more careful by other countries, but talks to stop the fighting haven’t worked yet.

A top Palestinian official involved in the talks about stopping the fighting said to the BBC that the two sides still disagree on many of the ideas for how to make peace.

Top leaders from the US, Israel, Egypt, and Qatar are in Cairo this week to try to make a deal.

The official said the main problem is the disagreement with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about what happens after the war ends. The US wants the Palestinian Authority to be stronger, but Israel doesn’t want one government to control both the West Bank and Gaza.

Another argument is about Israel’s goal of completely eliminating Hamas, which the US believes will be hard to do in the near future.

The US is trying to make both sides agree to stop fighting for a long time, so they don’t start fighting again.

  • Israel’s special forces enter Nasser Hospital in Gaza

Israel’s special forces enter Nasser Hospital in Gaza

Israel’s army says its special forces have entered the Nasser hospital in southern Gaza, which is surrounded and under attack.

It means a small and specific mission is happening. Hamas fighters are inside and Israeli hostages’ bodies may be there too.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) told many people to leave the area yesterday.

The hospital is the biggest one in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

Earlier video shows medical workers hurrying to move patients on stretchers through a hallway filled with smoke.

This new story is still being worked on and we will have more information soon.

  • Netanyahu promises to continue Rafah offensive

Netanyahu promises to continue Rafah offensive

The leader of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, says his soldiers will keep moving toward the city of Rafah in Gaza, even though others are asking them to stop.

French President Emmanuel Macron was telling Mr Netanyahu that the human cost of Israel’s operation in Gaza was too high. He warned him to stop it.

However, Netanyahu has told his army to get ready for a land attack.

Around 14 million Palestinians are living in the city of Rafah, and it has already been attacked.

Mr Netanyahu promised to continue with a strong attack and said that Hamas, the group in charge of Gaza, needs to be removed from the southern city.

“We will keep fighting until we win and we will also take strong action in Rafah after we let the civilians leave the battle areas,” he said.

President Macron called Mr. Netanyahu on Wednesday and said that Israel’s actions in Gaza need to stop.

He said that France is strongly against Israel attacking Rafah. He thinks it would cause a big humanitarian disaster.

The leaders of Australia, Canada, and New Zealand are very worried about a military operation in Rafah. They think it would be very bad.

“We ask the Israeli government not to choose this way,” the statement said. It added, “If they expand the military operation, it will be very bad for the Palestinian people. ”

The German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock, who was in Israel, said that the people in Rafah who have nowhere to go cannot just disappear out of nowhere.

Spain and the Republic of Ireland, who are members of the EU, have requested a quick review to see if Israel is following its human rights duties in Gaza, as stated in a trade agreement.

The health ministry in Gaza, which is controlled by Hamas, says that at least 28,576 people, mostly women and children, have been killed because of Israel’s attack.

Israel decided to do something after gunmen led by Hamas killed at least 1,200 people and took 253 hostages in a sudden attack on its land on 7 October.

During the start of the war, Israel told Palestinians to go to Rafah for safety while the Israeli military fought in the northern cities.

Rafah is at the bottom of Gaza and has a crossing into Egypt where humanitarian help can go into the area.

Now, Israel wants people to move to a safe area called a “humanitarian zone” along the coast called al-Mawasi. This area is mainly used for farming.

One of the people who had to leave their home in Rafah was Ahlam Abu Assi. She told the news agency AFP that she would rather stay in Rafah, even if it meant she might die there, than go back to the terrible conditions her relatives in Gaza City had to endure.

“My son and his kids don’t have any food to eat. ” “They make a little bit of rice and keep it for tomorrow,” she said.

Another city called Khan Younis has been the main area where Israel has been concentrating its military operations in the southern part of Gaza.

Many Palestinians who had to leave their homes went to the Nasser hospital for safety. Now they are being told to leave there too.

Mr Netanyahu said he will continue despite the peace talks involving officials from the US, Israel, Egypt, and Qatar not reaching a conclusion.

The leader of Israel said that Hamas did not offer anything new for a hostage deal, and Israel will not agree to the militant group’s unreasonable requests.

It said that if Hamas changes its positions, the negotiations can make progress.

  • Israel attacks Lebanon with “extensive” strikes

Israel attacks Lebanon with “extensive” strikes

Israel attacked Lebanon a lot after a woman was killed and others were hurt in a rocket attack on northern Israel.

Lebanese news said that villages were attacked and buildings were burning.

Hezbollah hasn’t admitted to attacking Israel, even though they are believed to be responsible.

Both sides have been shooting at each other across Israel’s northern border since the attacks by Hamas on 7 October.

“Israel’s military planes started a lot of attacks in Lebanon,” said Daniel Hagari, spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces, on Wednesday.

Mr Hagari said that the IDF will share more information about its recent air strikes soon.

Lebanon attacked northern Israel and hit the Safed area. The attack targeted the Israeli military’s base in the north, the IDF reported.

A recording shows a rocket landing close to a hospital’s entrance.

Hezbollah is a group of Shia Muslims that has a lot of weapons and is one of the strongest non-government military groups in the world.

It started in the early 1980s by Iran to go against Israel.

  • Israel Gaza: UN fears Rafah attack could result in “slaughter”

Israel Gaza: UN fears Rafah attack could result in “slaughter”

A high-ranking UN official has said that if Israel attacks Rafah, the southernmost city in Gaza, a lot of people could be killed.

Humanitarian leader Martin Griffiths said that the people in Gaza are going through a really harsh and intense attack.

He said that if Rafah is invaded, the results would be really bad.

The leader of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, has promised to beat the Hamas fighters who he says are hiding in the city.

In a very strong statement, Mr. Griffiths said that over a million people are crowded in Rafah and are facing the threat of death. He said people in the city don’t have much food or medicine and have no safe place to go.

He said if Israel invades the city, it will make the humanitarian operation even more difficult.

A person who speaks for the leader of the United Nations said to the BBC that the UN has not gotten any plans from Israel to move people out of Rafah, and the UN won’t help with any evacuations that are not voluntary.

Stephane Dujarric said: “The United Nations will not be part of making people leave their homes without wanting to. ”

Rafah is a little town in the southern part of the Gaza Strip near the border with Egypt. Before the war, about 250,000 people lived there. But now, because Israel told people to go south, the population has grown to around 1. 5

A lot of people are living in tents and they are in bad conditions. They have no place to go.

Mr Griffiths also said that people helping others in Gaza have been shot, threatened with guns, attacked, and killed because there is no law and order.

He said this while Israel and Hamas in Gaza were trying to talk and agree to stop fighting.

Top leaders from the US, Israel, Egypt, and Qatar met on Tuesday. They discussed the situation in Rafah and urged Israel not to invade.

Mr Guterres said he wanted the talks to be successful in order to prevent an attack by Israel on the city.

But later statements from the Egyptian government said that there was no progress made in the meeting.

It was said that the meeting showed how dangerous it is to increase military actions in Rafah in southern Gaza and how it could lead to very bad results. But they didn’t say if they made any progress towards peace.

Joe Biden, the President of the United States, told Israel to make sure that the people who are not in the army are safe. UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron told Israel to “stop and think carefully” before attacking Rafah.

Around 1,200 people died in attacks in Israel by gunmen led by Hamas on October 7th last year.

Israel started a war in the Gaza Strip. The war has caused the death of over 28,400 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and more than 68,000 have been injured, according to the health ministry run by Hamas.

Rafah was heavily bombed by the Israeli military recently. At least 67 people were killed there on Monday, according to the health ministry run by Hamas.

  • US Senate approves a $95 billion aid package for US, Israel, and Ukraine

US Senate approves a $95 billion aid package for US, Israel, and Ukraine

The US Senate has finally agreed to give $95 billion in aid to Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan after arguing about it for a long time.

The Democrats wanted to pass the bill, but the Republicans couldn’t agree and had voted against it before.

The package has $60 billion for Kyiv, $14 billion for Israel’s fight against Hamas, and $10 billion for help in places where there is war, like Gaza.

The bill will now go to the House, where we don’t know what will happen to it.

The package passed the Senate even though some Republicans, like House Speaker Mike Johnson and former President Donald Trump, criticized it. It also includes over $4bn for Indo-Pacific allies.

Lawmakers said yes to the package with a vote of 70 to 29. In the end, 22 Republicans and most of the Democrats voted for the law, including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.

“MrMcConnell said that history will make things clear,” in a statement after the vote. “Today, history will remember that the Senate did not waver in its belief in the importance of American leadership and strength. ”

The president of Ukraine thanked the senators for passing it.

“In Ukraine, the help we get from the US keeps people safe from Russian attacks and saves lives. ” This means that life will keep going in our cities and will win over war. This was written by Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky on X, also known as Twitter.

The vote happened after the Senate stayed up all night and some Republicans made speeches against the measure.

The group of right-wing Republicans led by Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky promised to delay the process, so it took a long time to think about the bill.

“Shouldn’t we focus on fixing our own country before anything else. ” he said in a long speech to delay the bill from being passed.

Some lawmakers who want positive change, like Jeff Merkley from Oregon and Bernie Sanders from Vermont, voted against the bill because they are worried about supporting Israel’s bombing of Gaza.

The aid package is a smaller version of a $118 billion package that Senate Republicans rejected last week.

Republicans first wanted to make sure that any help given to other countries was connected to making the southern border more secure. However, after Mr. Trump opposed the plan, Republicans could not agree on whether to support it.

Some lawmakers want to put border security back into the current version of the law.

MrJ ohnson said on Monday night that the Republican-controlled House wouldn’t approve the new bill without those rules.

“The Republicans in the House said right away that any national security law must focus on our border security,” he said.

Mr Johnson said that the lawmakers need to start over and work on the law to make sure the border is secure.

Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer, who leads the majority in the Senate, praised the approval of the bill on Tuesday. He said the Senate was warning Putin that he will be sorry for doubting America’s determination.

The US gives a lot of help to Ukraine. The White House requested Congress to pass a bill with foreign aid a few months ago.

This might be the last chance for Congress to give Ukraine help. Ukraine says it might not be able to fight off Russia without support from the United States.

  • Biden asks Israel to protect those who are weak in Rafah

Biden asks Israel to protect those who are weak in Rafah

US President Joe Biden said people in Rafah, Gaza are crowded and in danger. They need to be kept safe.

Israel needs to try really hard to keep the more than one million Palestinians safe in the southern Gazan city.

Rafah is getting hit a lot by Israel’s planes. People are getting hurt.

A doctor from Palestine said people in Rafah are scared.

Last week, the leader of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, said he told soldiers to get ready to go into Rafah. He promised to win against the Hamas fighters who are hiding in the city.

The leader of the UN’s human rights group said that any attack would be very scary and a lot of innocent people would probably die.

More than half of the 2. 3 million people in Gaza Strip are now living in the city on the border with Egypt. There used to be only 250,000 people there before the war between Israel and Hamas started in October.

Many people who have nowhere to live are staying in temporary shelters or tents in dirty conditions, with little access to clean water or food.

On Sunday, Israel’s army saved two men who were being held captive in Rafah.

President Biden once more asked for the safety of the people in Rafah after talking with King Abdullah of Jordan in Washington on Monday.

He said if the military wants to do a big operation in the city, they need to make sure that the people living there will be safe.

“Many people have been forced to leave their homes several times because of the violence. Now they are crowded into Rafah, which makes them easy targets and at risk. ”

“They must be kept safe. ” We have always said that we are against making Palestinians leave Gaza against their will.

Last week, the White House said it would not approve big Israeli actions in Rafah without thinking about the people who live there.

A lot of people have left the area of the Gaza Strip in Israel because of the fighting. Gaza Strip is run by Hamas, a Palestinian group.

Many countries and global groups have told Israel not to start its attack as planned.

UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron said on Monday that Israel should think carefully before doing more in Rafah.

Josep Borrell, who is in charge of the EU’s foreign policy, told friends of Israel to stop sending weapons because too many people were getting killed in Gaza.

Saudi Arabia said there would be big problems if Rafah was attacked.

At the same time, the leaders of Hamas in Gaza said that many people could get hurt if there is a fight, and it could also make it harder to talk about getting Israeli hostages back from Gaza.

Rafah is the only place where humanitarian aid can come into Gaza from Egypt.

Israel’s army started attacking Gaza Strip because 1,200 people were killed in southern Israel on October 7 by gunmen from Hamas. The gunmen also took 253 people as hostages.

Some of the hostages were let go, but Israel says they still don’t know where 134 of them are.

On Monday, the health ministry in Gaza, run by Hamas, reported that 164 people were killed and 200 were injured in Gaza in the past day. 28,340 people in Gaza have died and almost 68,000 have been injured since October 7th, according to the ministry.

  • Israel-Gaza war: Mortality and Israel’s pursuit of “complete triumph”

Israel-Gaza war: Mortality and Israel’s pursuit of “complete triumph”

I would prefer to write this story in the Gaza Strip instead of Jerusalem. I have been covering wars for many years, starting from El Salvador in 1989, and I believe that there is nothing better than reporting from the front lines.

I’m sorry, but in this awful war, reporters from other countries can’t do that. Israel and Egypt, who control Gaza’s borders, do not want us to report freely from there. Israel lets some people visit its army, but they have to be closely watched. I went on a trip in November, but it was only once.

Because we are unable to enter, we depend on Palestinian journalists who are unable to leave. I really look up to them for being brave and dedicated to telling the truth in their reporting.

Thankfully, in today’s world, it is not possible to completely stop a war. That’s because regular people can use their phone to take videos, and then easily put them on the internet with just a few clicks. We can also speak to them, if the communication is still working. Israel and Hamas post their own videos. We need to make sure and double check everything, especially since it’s now easier to use artificial intelligence.

Considering all the rules, this is what the war looks like in February from Jerusalem.

    Humanitarian crisis

Right after Hamas attacked Israel on October 7th, Yoav Gallant, who is in charge of keeping Israel safe, said that they are going to block off Gaza completely. This means no electricity, no food, no water, and no gas – everything is shut down.

“We are battling people who act like animals,” he said, “and we are responding in a similar way. ”

Under pressure from Joe Biden, the US President, Israel is now letting a small amount of food, water, and medicine to go into Gaza. However, it still limits the amount of aid going into Gaza and the movement of aid convoys within the area.

Israel says that what comes in is enough. International groups that help people in other countries say that not only are innocent people in Gaza being killed and hurt, but they are also not getting enough food and medical care. The Geneva Convention says that it’s a war crime to punish innocent people for something that others did.

Since October 7th, the Americans have been asking Israel to follow the rules of war in Gaza. They want Israel to stop killing a lot of innocent Palestinian people. American officials, including President Biden, keep saying strong criticisms because they think Israel is not listening to them.

This week, the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken criticized Israel’s actions in the war. He said that even though Hamas is attacking Israel in a violent way, this does not mean that Palestinians should be treated violently in return.

“He said that Israelis were treated very badly on October 7th,” he said at a press conference in Tel Aviv. The hostages have been treated very badly every day since. But we can’t treat others badly.

“Most people in Gaza didn’t have anything to do with the attacks on October 7,” Mr. The families in Gaza need aid from Israel to survive, just like our families. They are parents and children who want to make enough money to live well, send their kids to school, and have a regular life. That’s who they are. This is what they are like. “They want that. ”

However, the US has decided not to set any requirements for its large military and diplomatic aid to Israel. It keeps giving weapons to Israel, even though it doesn’t like how they are using them.

Philippe Lazzarini, who leads the UN’s work in Gaza, said the war will have bad effects on young people in Gaza when I talked to him this week.

“He said he is very worried. ” “They are all very hurt by this terrible war that has never happened before. ” They are living in really bad conditions. If the war stops tomorrow, our most important job is to make sure these children can go to school again. If we don’t, they might become angry and hateful in the future.

Israel does not care about Mr. Lazzarini’s comments It accused UNRWA of helping Hamas. Mr Lazzarini has been working hard to protect the agency after Israel gave the Americans some information saying that about 12 UNRWA workers were involved in the attacks on October 7th.

UNRWA fired the men who were accused and is trying to make the 16 main countries that give money feel better about giving money again. Mr Lazzarini is very concerned about the accusations and wants to find and remove any Hamas supporters. However, Israel has not given him the file they sent to the US. Israel thinks UNRWA is very bad. The problem with the agency is definitely making it harder to help people.

It’s really hard for the UN and other aid groups to reach Northern Gaza. Local people are saying that there is not enough food and many kids are not healthy. This could lead to long-term health problems for the kids who make it through.

We have got more news from southern Gaza, where almost two million people are trying to survive. About 14 million people live in Rafah, close to the border with Egypt. Many people live in tents made of plastic, near dirty water.

Unlike reporters, people who help in the relief effort can come and go from Gaza. I talked to many UN officials who have a lot of experience in areas affected by war. Everyone said it’s the worst they’ve ever seen. Someone said to me, “I have never seen anything like this before. It’s very big and impressive. ”

Someone else said that Gaza was the scariest and toughest place they had ever been to.

Israel is not going to be influenced by what Mr. It has accused UNRWA of helping Hamas. Mr Lazzarini has been working hard to keep the agency open after Israel gave a report to the Americans about some UNRWA staff being involved in the 7 October attacks.

UNRWA fired the men who were accused and is trying to make the 16 big donor countries feel better because they stopped giving money. Lazzarini is very concerned about the allegations and wants to find any Hamas supporters. However, Israel has not given him the information it sent to the US. Israel thinks that UNRWA is very bad inside. The problems with the agency are definitely making it harder for the aid operation to happen.

It’s really hard for the UN and other aid groups to reach Northern Gaza. People living in the ruined area have said that many of them don’t have enough food and the children are very undernourished. This could cause long-term health problems for the children who manage to survive.

In southern Gaza, nearly two million people are struggling to stay alive and we are receiving more information from there. Around 14 million people live in Rafah, close to the border with Egypt. Many people live in tents made of plastic next to places where sewage collects.

Unlike reporters, people who work for charities involved in the aid effort can enter and leave Gaza. I talked to many experienced UN officials who have worked in areas where there was fighting for many years. Everyone has said that it is the worst they have ever seen. Someone said to me, “I have never seen something this big, extensive, and deep before. ”

Another person said that Gaza was the scariest and hardest place he had ever been. This wasn’t just because of the bombing from Israel, but also because there was no law and order. He said that there are a lot of guns and angry men with clubs in Gaza. The UN was moving aid convoys early in the morning to prevent them from being robbed.

    The fighting in Gaza.

People in Rafah are getting really scared about Israeli soldiers coming into their town. A person from BBC Arabic talked to Jabr al-Burdini who was digging up dead kids from a destroyed house in Rafah. He is middle-aged.

“If Israel did attacks here, many people would die. ” The children are really scared and the grown-ups are too. Watch the kids. They are unable to sleep.

MrLazzarini said that if Israel attacks Rafah, it would make things even worse in Gaza.

He said that about 100,000 people, which is 5% of the population, had been killed, injured, or gone missing in the last four months, probably dead under the rubble.

“And now most of the people are living outside in Rafah. ” If you start a military operation in this area, it will only make the tragedy worse. And we must absolutely avoid this.

Air attacks are currently killing many people in Rafah. Even though America is asking for the attacks to stop, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has told the army to keep attacking the town, but only after they have a plan to move Palestinian civilians out of Rafah. Because people in Gaza feel unsafe everywhere, they are not comforted. Maybe Mr Netanyahu is trying to make Mr Biden feel less upset.

Another group of people who might be interested is the International Court of Justice in The Hague. They have said that there is a possibility that Israel is committing the serious crime of genocide against the Palestinians in Gaza.

Israel has set a very difficult goal to achieve and it might be impossible to reach it, even after many months. It wants to get rid of Hamas, make Israel safe again, and release the people that Hamas captured on October 7th. A lot of Israeli families and their supporters don’t believe the prime minister’s argument that only using force will free the hostages held in Gaza. They want a peace agreement because they’re worried that if the war goes on for longer, they might never see their loved ones again.

Israel has caused a lot of harm to Hamas, but it has not completely stopped them from fighting. A high-rank intelligence official said that Israel has killed one-third of Hamas fighters and destroyed one-third of their secret tunnels.

MrNetanyahu wants to eliminate Hamas leaders, starting with Yahya Sinwar, who is believed to have organized and directed the attacks on October 7th. Until now, people think Mr. Sinwar and his closest followers are still alive. They might be living in tunnels protected by Israeli hostages.
The fighting in the Middle East.

In four months, the effects of the war in Gaza have traveled throughout the Middle East. Iran has a group of friends that it calls the “axis of resistance,” and they are involved in a big fight.

After three American soldiers were killed in Jordan by a group supported by Iran, the US began a series of air attacks in Syria and Iraq. The UK has also bombed the Houthis in Yemen who are attacking ships in the Red Sea. Some people in the US and Israel want the US military to attack Iran with bombs.

The Houthis and Iran’s friends say they are supporting the Palestinians in Gaza. Iran’s strongest friend is Hezbollah in Lebanon. The fighting at the border between Israel and the country is getting worse every day. Israel is feeling more and more pressure to send soldiers into southern Lebanon.

The people from America are working to make a way for peace in the Middle East. Secretary of State Blinken thinks Saudi Arabia and Israel should be friends if Israel lets the Palestinians have their own country. Prime Minister Netanyahu says that the Palestinians will not become an independent nation. He says Israel will keep fighting until they win completely.

This fighting is continuing and there’s no sign of it stopping soon. The more time goes by, the more difficult it will be to manage the results of what is happening in Gaza.

  • Concerns increase as Israel prepares Rafah offensive

Concerns increase as Israel prepares Rafah offensive

Israel is getting more and more warnings from other countries about its upcoming attack in Rafah, a city in southern Gaza that is full of Palestinian refugees.

UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron said that more than half of the people in Gaza are seeking shelter in the area. Dutch FM Hanke Bruins Slot said that there might be many innocent people who are hurt.

Saudi Arabia said that there will be a big problem if Rafah is attacked.

Hamas leaders in Gaza said that there could be a very large number of people hurt or killed.

Israel started its military actions in the Gaza Strip because over 1,200 people were killed in southern Israel by Hamas gunmen on 7 October.

More than 27,900 people have died and at least 67,000 people have been hurt in Gaza, according to the health ministry run by Hamas.

Many people from Gaza have had to leave their homes and end up in Rafah at least once.

On Saturday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the military to get ready to move people out of the city before attacking Hamas.

“We can’t reach our war goal if we don’t get rid of Hamas. Also, leaving four Hamas groups in Rafah won’t help. ” The people in charge said that there is a lot of fighting in Rafah and civilians need to leave the area.

The prime minister said no to Hamas’s latest offer for a ceasefire.

The US told Israel that attacking Rafah in Gaza would be very bad, and the EU and the UN are also worried about it.

Charity organizations say that it is not possible to rescue or remove all the people from the city that is near the border of Egypt.

Jamie McGoldrick, a person from the UN, recently went to Gaza to see how things are. He said to the BBC that if Israeli soldiers attack, the people in Rafah don’t have anywhere to go.

“The places that were said to be safe are not safe anymore. ” “If these people have to go somewhere else, where can they go. We are really scared that our situation will only get worse,” he said.

Around 15 million Palestinians are in Rafah to hide from the fighting between Israelis and Palestinians in other parts of Gaza. Most of them are living in temporary shelter.

Your device might not be able to show this picture.

In a message on social media, Mr Cameron said he was really worried about the possibility of a military attack in Rafah.

“We need to stop fighting right away to help the people in need and to rescue the hostages. Then we can work on having a lasting ceasefire. ”

Meanwhile, Bruins Slot said the situation in Rafah is very concerning.

“Many people in Gaza have left and gone to the south. ” It’s difficult to imagine that big military actions in a crowded area wouldn’t cause a lot of civilian deaths and a worse humanitarian crisis. “This is not fair,” she said.

On Saturday, the Saudi foreign ministry said not to attack Rafah in Gaza. Many people had to leave because of the violence from Israel.

The ministry asked for a stop in fighting right away.

The news cannot check a lot of the things that are said about the fighting in the war.

  • Gazans surviving on animal feed as food supply runs low

Gazans surviving on animal feed as food supply runs low

People in the remote part of Gaza say that kids there are not getting enough food because aid trucks are not allowed to come in. Some people are grinding animal feed into flour to survive, but they are running out of grains for that too.

People have also talked about digging into the ground to get to water pipes for drinking and washing.

The UN said that a lot of young children in the north are very malnourished, and it’s now higher than the 15% level that is really bad.

The UN’s group that helps plan aid efforts, Ocha, says that last month, more than half of the aid missions to the north of Gaza were not allowed to go there. They also say that Israeli forces are getting in the way of how and where aid is given.

It means that around 300,000 people in the northern areas are not getting help and are at risk of not having enough food to eat.

A person who speaks for the Israeli military agency that helps with aid in Gaza said last month that there is no lack of food in Gaza. Cogat, the agency, keeps saying it doesn’t stop sending help to Gaza.

The news talked to three people who live in Gaza City and Beit Lahia. They also saw videos and interviews made by local reporters in Jabalia.

Mahmoud Shalabi, who helps with medical care in Beit Lahia, said that people have been turning animal feed into flour, but even that is about to run out.

“He said that people can’t find it in the market. ” “You can’t find it right now in the north of Gaza and Gaza City. ”

He also mentioned that canned food is running out.

“We only had supplies for six or seven days during the truce in November, and all the help that was allowed into the north of Gaza has been used up. ” People are only eating rice right now.

The World Food Programme (WFP) said to the media this week that Israeli forces stopped four out of the last five aid convoys going to the north. This caused a two-week gap between deliveries to Gaza City.

‘High chance of not having enough food’

“We need to give a lot of food regularly to avoid a really bad hunger problem in Gaza,” Matt Hollingworth, the head of WFP in the region, said.

The UN office that helps with emergencies says that more and more aid deliveries are being blocked from getting to northern Gaza. In January, 56% of deliveries were stopped, compared to 14% in the three months before that.

The Israeli military sometimes asked for reasons why certain amounts of fuel were being sent to health facilities. They also cut down on the aid, like reducing the amount of food being given.

The news reporters asked the army of Israel for a reply. They told us to ask the army our questions because they couldn’t help us.

Duha al-Khalidi, a mother of four in Beit Lahia, said two weeks ago that she walked six miles (9. 5km) to her sister’s house in Gaza City because her children were hungry and she couldn’t find any food for them for three days.

“I don’t have any money, and even if I did, there’s nothing to buy at the town’s main market,” she said. My sister and her family are having a hard time too. She gave me the last bit of pasta she had at home.

“We think that death is going to happen,” her sister Waad said. “We lost the top floor of our house, but we’re still living here even though we’re scared it might fall down. ” For two weeks, we couldn’t find anything in the market. And if we did see some things for sale, they cost 10 times more than usual.

A study by the UN says that many people in the northern areas may not have enough food. But it’s hard to know for sure because it’s difficult to go there and check.

Families in the north are having difficulty finding water they can depend on.

“A lot of us are drinking water that is not safe to drink. ” “There are no pipes, so we have to dig for water,” said Mahmoud Salah in Beit Lahia.

  • Israel-Gaza war: Netanyahu commands military to organise Rafah evacuations

Israel-Gaza war: Netanyahu commands military to organise Rafah evacuations

The leader of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, has told the military to get ready to move people out of the southern Gaza city of Rafah before they attack Hamas.

Around 15 million Palestinians are in Rafah to find safety from fighting with Israel in other parts of Gaza.

The US told Israel that attacking Rafah would be very bad, and the EU and the UN are also worried.

Charities say they can’t rescue all the people from the city.

Mr Netanyahu asked the military and security leaders to come up with a plan to move people away and get rid of the groups of fighters from Hamas.

“We can’t win the war unless we get rid of Hamas and their four battalions in Rafah. ” Instead, it’s clear that there’s a lot of fighting in Rafah, so regular people need to leave the area.

Mr Netanyahu said he told soldiers to get ready to go to Rafah and that Israel will win over Hamas soon.

He said this while saying no to the terms Hamas offered for a ceasefire. Hamas negotiators are leaving Cairo, and talks between them and the BBC are paused.

Most of the people in Rafah had to leave their homes because of the fighting in other parts of Gaza. Now they are living in tents.

Rafah is the only place where people can enter or leave Gaza and go to Egypt.

On Friday, the leader of the European Union, Josep Borrell, said on social media that he is worried about reports of Israel attacking Rafah. This would have very bad effects, making the humanitarian situation even worse and causing more harm to civilians.

Earlier this week, the UN Secretary General António Guterres said that there could be a big problem with people needing help in the city. His spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric said later: “We are very concerned about what is happening to the regular people in Rafah. ” I believe it’s important to protect people, but we also don’t want to see anyone being forced to leave their homes.

At the same time, the leader of the UN agency for Palestinian refugees, UNRWA, said people in Rafah are feeling more and more anxious and scared.

“Philippe Lazzarini said that people don’t know where to go after Rafah,” he told reporters in Jerusalem.

“A big military operation in this area will just make things even more tragic. ”

Israeli planes bombed Gaza on Friday and at least 15 people died, including eight in Rafah, according to Hamas-run health officials. Israel didn’t say anything right away.

Garda al-Kourd, a mother with two children, said she had to move six times because of the war. She thinks Israel will attack, but she hopes for a peace agreement before it happens.

If they come to Rafah, it will be very bad for us. It will feel like we are waiting to die. “We have no other place to go,” she said to the BBC from a family member’s house in the city where she was living with 20 other people.

On Thursday, President Joe Biden said that Israel’s actions in Gaza were too much, without mentioning Rafah directly. He said the “over the top” phrase again to talk about how Hamas reacted to a truce plan for Gaza. Hamas was asked to release hostages in exchange for the truce.

John Kirby, a spokesperson for the US National Security Council, said that the Israeli military has a responsibility to protect innocent civilians during their operations in Gaza or anywhere else.

“He said that military operations at this time would be very bad for those people, and it’s not something that we would approve of. ”

Israeli officials say that more than 1,200 people were killed in the Hamas attacks on southern Israel on 7 October.

Israel started a war and more than 27,900 Palestinians were killed and at least 67,000 were hurt, according to the health ministry run by Hamas.

  • Israel disputes threat on minister in South Africa

Israel disputes threat on minister in South Africa

Israel denied making threats against a South African minister and accused her of spreading false accusations and supporting a terrorist organization.

The two countries’ relationship got worse last month when South Africa accused Israel of committing genocide in Gaza and took the case to the International Court of Justice. Israel denied the accusation.

After getting dangerous messages, Naledi Pandor talked to the South African Police Minister Bheki Cele about increasing her security.

“The Israeli agents are acting in a way to scare us, but we shouldn’t let them intimidate us. ” She said to the local media that there is a reason why something is happening.

Israel strongly criticized the media on Friday, with the foreign affairs ministry telling them off.

Quote Message: The accusations made by the South African foreign minister are not true and have no evidence. He is acting as a legal supporter for the Hamas terrorist organization.

The accusations made by the South African foreign minister are not true and have no evidence. This is just another way for them to blame innocent people.

South Africa is trying to weaken Israel’s ability to protect itself and its people, and to support the goals of Hamas and Iran in the Middle East and Africa.

The South African government’s involvement with terrorism and its actions against Israel are very shameful.

The South African government’s help for terrorism and its actions against Israel on the individual and worldwide levels is a big mark.

About 1,300 people died during the Hamas attacks on southern Israel on October 7th, as per Israeli officials.

Israel started a war and more than 27,800 Palestinians were killed and at least 67,000 were injured in the fighting, according to the health ministry in Gaza.

  • Israel-Gaza war: US declares it will not support impromptu Rafah offensive

Israel-Gaza war: US declares it will not support impromptu Rafah offensive

The US told Israel that attacking Gaza’s southern city of Rafah without good planning would be very bad.

About 15 million Palestinians are living in a city next to Egypt in very difficult living conditions.

The White House said it would not support big operations without thinking about the refugees living there.

Days after Israel’s leader said that the military is getting ready to work in Rafah, these comments were made.

Many people in Rafah had to leave their homes because of fighting in other parts of Gaza, so they are now living in tents.

Israel attacked Rafah from the air on Thursday morning and Israeli tanks also started shooting.

Garda al-Kourd, a mother of two, has been forced to move six times because of the war. She thinks Israel might attack, but she is hoping for a ceasefire before it happens.

“If they come to Rafah, it will be the end for us. It feels like we are waiting to die. ” “We don’t have anywhere else to go,” she said to the BBC. She was staying with 20 other people at a relative’s house in Rafah.

Emad, who is 55 years old and has six children, is staying in Rafah after running away from his home. He told the Reuters news agency that he is most scared of a ground attack because he has nowhere else to go.

“We are standing with our backs to the fence on the border and looking towards the Mediterranean,” he said. “Where do you want to go. ”

A lot of northern and central Gaza has been destroyed by constant bombing from Israel since the war started on 7 October.

On Thursday evening, US President Joe Biden said that Israel’s actions in Gaza were too much. He did not mention Rafah.

Before, a spokesperson for the US National Security Council named John Kirby said that the Israeli military has a responsibility to protect innocent civilians when they are carrying out operations in Gaza or anywhere else.

“He said that starting a war right now would be really bad for those people, and it’s not something we would agree with,” He also said that there is no evidence to show that Israel is going to start a big war in Rafah soon. ”

Deputy State Department spokesperson Vedant Patel agreed with Mr. Kirby, saying that the US would not support doing something like this without careful and believable planning.

The BBC asked where refugees in Rafah could go if there was an operation. Patel said these were important questions that the Israelis should answer.

In Tel Aviv, Israel, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that any military action by Israel must focus on protecting civilians. “and that’s especially true for Rafah”

The US doesn’t usually talk about what Israel will do next in Gaza, but this time they gave a clear warning.

Every year, the United States gives $3. 8 billion in military aid to Israel, making it the country that receives the most military aid in the world.

Israeli officials say about 1,300 people were killed by Hamas attacks in southern Israel on October 7th.

Israel started a war and more than 27,800 Palestinians have been killed and at least 67,000 injured in response. This information is from the Hamas-run health ministry.

“The UN leader said people are living in crowded shelters without clean water, electricity, or enough food. ”

“We strongly spoke out against the terrible actions of Hamas. ” We also strongly disapprove of breaking the rules of war in Gaza.

On Tuesday, Israel’s leader, Benjamin Netanyahu, said he told soldiers to get ready to go to Rafah and that Israel would soon have complete success over Hamas in just a few months.

  • Israel-Gaza war: Hamas responds to request for ceasefire in Gaza

Israel-Gaza war: Hamas responds to request for ceasefire in Gaza

Hamas said it has given its answer to a plan for a new truce in Gaza.

The information about the deal made by Israel, the US, Qatar and Egypt has not been shared yet.

It was said before that there would be a six-week break, during which more Israeli hostages would be swapped for Palestinian prisoners.

Israel and the US are looking at what Hamas said.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who is in the Middle East, said he will talk about what Hamas said with officials in Israel on Wednesday.

Mr Blinken hasn’t said how the US feels about the response, but President Joe Biden thinks it’s too much, which means the Israeli leaders might not agree to what the group wants easily.

A top member of Hamas told the media that the group gave a good idea in response to the plan but wanted some changes about rebuilding Gaza, bringing people back to their homes, and helping those who had to leave.

The official said that Hamas wanted to change how injured people are treated, including sending them back home and moving them to hospitals in other countries.

The plan was sent to Hamas about a week ago. A person from Hamas told the Reuters news agency that they didn’t respond until Tuesday because they found some parts of the plan confusing.

The Prime Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman al Thani, thinks that Hamas has responded in a good way.

The fighting in Gaza started when Hamas fighters attacked southern Israel on October 7th. About 1,300 people were killed and 250 were taken hostage.

More than 27,500 people have died in Gaza. Gaza has been controlled by Hamas and blocked by Israel and Egypt since 2007.

Hamas is banned as a terrorist group in many countries.

For a week in late November, a break in fighting allowed 105 Israeli and foreign people who were being held captive to be released. In return, 240 Palestinians who were in Israeli jails were also set free.

The Israeli military is working on finding Hamas’s leader in Gaza, Yahya Sinwar. This might make it difficult to make a new deal at this time.

Nevertheless, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is facing a lot of pressure from people in his own country to make sure the rest of the hostages are released.

The situation in the region is getting worse, which makes Mr. Blinken feel like he needs to move quickly to make progress on the deal when he goes to Tel Aviv.

The US is trying hard to stop a situation from getting worse after a drone strike killed three American soldiers in Jordan last week.

Washington launched air attacks against militia groups in Syria and Iraq that are supported by Iran. They are also saying that there may be more attacks in the future.

The US thinks that a ceasefire agreement in Gaza is the best way to reduce tensions in surrounding areas.

On Tuesday, Israel said that 31 out of the 136 hostages in Gaza were found dead.

Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, who speaks for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), said that the families of the captives had been told and that the authorities will keep working to bring back the rest of the captives.

Mr Hagari said that we have a duty to do what is right, not just in our country but also around the world. This is the direction we will keep following.

The ark of covenant was carried from Israel to Ethiopia by Ga people – Osu Wor-Lumor

The origin of the Ga ethnic group has been the subject of diverse narratives as scholars present varying migration stories.

With Africans having traversed the continent for millennia in different directions, whether northward, southward, eastward, or westward, pinpointing the exact origin of any African group remains uncertain.

While remembered history and written records both lack absolute certainty, critical analysis of facts from various sources can unveil elements of truth.

During an interview, the Chief Priest of the Osu Nadu/Klottey Clan provided detailed insights into the origin and history.

Chief Priest Wor-Lumor Nuumo Noi Sekanku Kpenuku II disclosed that the Gas originated from Israel and were part of the family of DAN.

“In 72 AD, when the Persians invaded Israel, Jerusalem, and they had wanted to take the ark of the covenant, so we were the people who carried the ark of the covenant to Ethiopia. We left from Ethiopia because the Somalians were disturbing us…We left Ethiopia to Sudan to settle near the Coast Valley…,” he explained.

  • Officials from the West object to Israel’s Gaza policy

Officials from the West object to Israel’s Gaza policy

Over 800 officials in the US and Europe have signed a statement saying that their governments’ actions in the Israel-Gaza war might break international law.

The “transatlantic statement” says that their governments could be involved in a bad situation, but their advice has not been taken seriously.

This shows that some important countries that are friends with Israel are not happy with its government.

One person who signed the statement is a US government official who has worked in national security for over 25 years. They told the BBC that their concerns are still being ignored.

“The official said that the people who knew the area well were not heard. ”

The big difference here is that we are not just failing to stop something, we are actually helping it happen. “That is very different from any other situation I can remember,” said the official, who didn’t want to share their name.

Civil servants from the US, the EU, and 11 European countries, including the UK, France, and Germany, have signed the statement.

Israel has been using its military in Gaza without limits. This has led to many civilians dying. They have also stopped aid from getting in, which has put many civilians in danger of not having enough food and getting sick.

“Our governments’ actions may be breaking international laws and committing serious crimes like war and genocide,” the statement said.

The names of the people who supported the statement have not been shared with the public. The BBC hasn’t seen a list of names, but they believe that almost half of them are government officials who have been working for at least ten years.

A former US ambassador told the media that it was unusual for civil servants in different governments to work together in this way.

Robert Ford, a former American ambassador to Algeria and Syria, said that he has never seen anything like it in the last 40 years when it comes to foreign policy.

He compared it to worries in the US government in 2003 about wrong information before invading Iraq. But this time, many officials with concerns didn’t want to stay quiet.

“Some people knew that intelligence was being selectively used and that there was no plan for what would happen next, but they didn’t speak up. ” “He said it was a big problem,”

He said the problems with the Gaza war are very serious and have serious consequences, which is why they feel the need to make it public.

The leaders are saying that their government’s help for Israel could cause more Palestinians to die and put the lives of hostages and Israel’s safety at risk. They believe that the support should have some conditions and be held accountable. This could also cause problems in the region.

“Israel’s military actions are not using the important anti-terrorism knowledge they have learned since 9/11. The operation is not helping Israel to defeat Hamas and is actually making groups like Hamas and Hezbollah more popular. ”

The officials say they have talked about their worries at work, but their opinions were ignored because of politics and beliefs.

The US government, the European Union, and the UK government have been asked to share their thoughts on the matter.

The statement says that Israel’s attack on Gaza has caused a lot of damage, but there is no plan to get rid of Hamas or to find a long-term solution for Israel’s safety. The US and European governments are being asked to stop telling people that there is a good reason for the Israeli operation.

Israeli leaders always say no to that kind of criticism. The Israeli embassy in London said it had to follow international law because of the new statement.

Israel is still fighting against a terrorist group that is trying to kill a whole race of people. This group is doing very bad things in war and against innocent people.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says we need to use strong military force on Hamas to get more hostages released. The army also destroyed important places used by Hamas, like command centers, weapons areas, and places where they keep hostages.

On Saturday, the Israeli army said they killed more than 2,000 terrorists in Khan Yunis, both above and below the ground.

Israel keeps saying it doesn’t try to hurt regular people on purpose. They say that Hamas is using civilian places to hide.

Since the war began, more than 26,750 Palestinians have been killed and at least 65,000 injured, according to health officials in the Gaza Strip. Gaza has been ruled by Hamas and blocked off by Israel and Egypt since 2007.

Israeli officials say that 9,000 of the people who were killed were members of Hamas, but they have not shown proof for this claim. Israeli officials say that more than 1,200 people were killed in Israel during the Hamas attacks on October 7th, and another 100 died from their injuries. Over 250 people were captured and taken to Gaza.

The US government has said many times that too many Palestinians have been killed in Gaza, and Israel has the right to make sure that something like October 7th never happens again.

It has started being more strict about some things the Israeli government is doing, like speaking out more about not stopping settlers from being violent in the West Bank. On Thursday, President Biden said the first US penalties ever against settlers who hurt Palestinians.

The Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, has tried to talk to the people in the State Department about their concerns about US policy. He told them in November that he is listening to what they have to say and it’s influencing the decisions they make and the things they say.

During the Vietnam War, the department created a way for diplomats to share their disagreements with US positions without being punished. It was called a “dissent channel. ”

In the most recent statement, the most people who signed are working in EU offices, the Netherlands and the US. Many of the people who signed are believed to work for the State Department, with others working at the White House, Homeland Security, Justice, and other government departments.

The media has said that some UK Foreign Office workers are disagreeing about how the civilian deaths in Gaza are being shown.

It is known that in the past, the staff counsellors in the Foreign Office collected internal worries. But now, people are unhappy because there is no official way to share their concerns about the Israel-Hamas war.

  • Israelis provide proof of sexual violence by Hamas to British MPs

Israelis provide proof of sexual violence by Hamas to British MPs

Israelis who handled the bodies of the victims of the 7 October attacks by Hamas in Israel, have told British lawmakers that the female victims were deliberately and systematically harmed, and that some were sexually assaulted.

Kemi Badenoch, who is in charge of business and women’s issues, said that all the reports of sexual violence must be looked into and we must speak out against it. “Rape is not fighting back,” she said.

Hamas says its fighters did not sexually attack women during the attacks.

But a high-ranking police officer in Israel said they have strong proof that rape and other sexual violence were committed on a large scale, which is a serious crime.

On 7 October, many armed Palestinians from Gaza entered southern Israel. They killed about 1,300 people, mostly civilians, and took 250 others as hostages.

Israel fought in Gaza and many people, mostly women and children, were killed.

Many of the lawmakers in Parliament were crying when they heard the stories of the Israelis at the meeting on Wednesday.

Architect Shari Mendes was asked to help the military identify female bodies brought to the Shura army base after October 7th.

“She said that a lot of women came with torn and bloody underwear, and many of them had no clothes at all. ”

Our leader saw a lot of female soldiers who were shot in their private parts or breasts. This was unnecessary. This was an intentional, planned, cut to the genitals.

Ms Mendes said her team has seen bodies with their heads or limbs cut off. “I’m here to speak for them,” she said.

Simcha Greiniman was a volunteer for Zaka, an Israeli group that gathers bodies to bury them.

He told the BBC that he found many dead bodies after the Hamas attack.

“In a house, there was a woman who was not with her family. ” She was in her bedroom, resting on her bed, he remembered.

“She was only wearing clothes on the top half of her body. ” She was hit in the back of her head by a bullet. She was holding a dangerous bomb in her hand.

He talked about finding a woman with nails and other objects in her private parts. He said it was something very difficult to imagine.

Mr Greiniman said that he saw some people who had been sexually assaulted.

“He said definitely, definitely, without a doubt. ” “I’m the one who handled it. “”I am the eyes. “

“I want to tell you that this is how things happened, and I want the world to see it. ” We are speaking honestly, and the world needs to listen and take action.

He asked the world to acknowledge what happened and not ignore it. He also wanted the people responsible to be sent to jail. “He said they need to be punished for their actions. “

Ms Mendes and Mr Greiniman are not experts on sexual violence. But, their testimony matches the evidence that the Israeli government has collected from forensic investigations and statements from witnesses and first responders.

Chief Superintendent Mirit Ben,who leads the Israel Police, spoke to the lawmakers and said it was hard to gather evidence because the murders happened in many places and many people were killed.

She said that there is proof that the victims were raped and sexually assaulted. We are looking in to very bad crimes against people.

The BBC has found proof that women were raped and hurt. The video shows a person who saw what happened at the Nova music festival. There are also videos of women who are naked and bleeding, filmed by Hamas gunmen, and pictures of bodies from different attacks.

Agam Berger’s cousin said at the meeting that we need to bring back over 100 Israelis and other people who are still being kept as captives in Gaza.

Ashley Waxman Bakshi said she didn’t even know if her cousin wanted to stay alive after being held for a longtime.

“We are really worried while our women and girls are with these bad people. If they did something in 8 or 12 hours on October7,it’s very concerning. “”They stayed there for 117 days. ” What if they are having a baby.

Kemi Badenoch said the UK supports and stands together with all the victims. She also asked international groups to speak out clearly against sexual violence towards Israelis and to not have different rules for different people.

Israeli officials and activists are saying that the leaders of the UN and other international organizations are taking too long to respond to the allegations.

On Monday, Pramila Patten, who is a UN Special Representative, came to Israel to talk to people who have been through sexual violence in conflict. She wants to find ways to help them, like getting justice and holding people accountable. She also wants to gather and check information about what has happened to them.

The Israeli president’s office is asking victims, their families, and witnesses to speak up and not stay silent, so that those who hurt them can be punished.

“We want to make sure that the [victims] get justice so we can stop this terrible act,” she said.

Two United Nations human rights experts said earlier this month that the reported acts of sexual violence are very serious and against the law. They may be considered war crimes or crimes against humanity because of the large number of victims and the planned nature of the attacks.

  • South Africa refutes allegations Iran financed Israel’s ICJ case

South Africa refutes allegations Iran financed Israel’s ICJ case

South Africa’s Foreign Minister Naledi Pandor said that the ruling ANC party did not get money from Iran to take Israel to court.

During a meeting with reporters on Wednesday, the minister said that Israel and its allies are making accusations in response to being accused themselves. This is similar to what President Cyril Ramaphosa said earlier, that his country might face consequences for taking legal action against Israel.

Last week, the ICJ made a decision in the case, stating that Israel has to do everything it can to stop genocidal actions in Gaza.

The minister said she complained to the International Criminal Court about how slow they were in doing something about South Africa’s request to take action against Israel. This included the delay in issuing an arrest warrant for Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Ms Pandor also said that all countries must stop giving money and help to Israel’s military in Gaza because it could be supporting genocide.

The minister recommended that South Africa ask other countries from the southern part of the world to help Palestinians with aid, because they have had less help lately.

  • Police in Sweden demolish objects outside Israeli embassy

Police in Sweden demolish objects outside Israeli embassy

Swedish police destroyed a “dangerous object” found near the Israeli embassy in Stockholm.

According to local reports, there was a big reaction to the incident. An area of 100 meters (328 feet) around the embassy was blocked off to keep the public safe.

The police told the media that it was too soon to give more information about the object. They said that nobody got hurt.

The ambassador from Israel to Sweden said that someone tried to attack the embassy and the people who work there.

Ziv Nevo Kulman said on X that we are not scared of terror. He said thank you to the Swedish authorities for acting quickly.

Sweden’s Deputy Prime Minister Ebba Busch said in her own post that she was very upset and scared by the strong dislike of Israel. We need to stop violent extremism.

Police were called around 1:10pm local time (12:10pm GMT), as reported by TV4.

The thing was later blown up by the national bomb squad, according to TV4. The journalist heard a loud noise at the location.

Sweden’s main TV station SVT said that the police with guns went to the place and brought sandbags with them, apparently to help get rid of the object.

The police are looking into it.

The embassy is in a rich neighborhood by the water in the middle of Stockholm.

More update on this story soon.

  • 3 Palestinian militants killed by Israeli police during hospital raid in West Bank

3 Palestinian militants killed by Israeli police during hospital raid in West Bank

Israeli soldiers have shot and killed three fighters in a hospital in Jenin, in the West Bank that is controlled by Israel.

The security camera video showed a group of undercover police officers pretending to be doctors and regular people walking down a hallway with their guns ready.

The Israeli army said that the fighters were hiding in the hospital and that one of them was getting ready to do an attack.

The Palestinian Authority’s health ministry said Israel attacked hospitals and caused many deaths.

Hamas, a group of Palestinians with guns who follow the Islamic religion, is fighting with Israel in Gaza. They say that Israeli forces killed three of their fighters, including one of their own members, after Hamas attacked Israel on 7 October.

Another group with weapons, called Palestinian Islamic Jihad, said two of the people who died were part of their group and were siblings. It also said that one of them has been getting help at the hospital.

The security camera at Ibn Sina hospital recorded a video of the Israeli undercover unit moving quickly through a hallway with their weapons pointed in different directions. Someone took clothes from a person who was kneeling with their hands behind their head, and then covered their head with the clothes.

There is a lot of fighting in the West Bank since the 7 October attacks. Israeli soldiers are arresting Palestinians and there are fights almost every day. Jenin has been a target of raids for a long time because it is a place where militants are strong.

Since October 7th, Israeli soldiers have killed at least 357 Palestinians in the West Bank, and Israeli settlers have killed at least eight, according to the United Nations.

Palestinians from the West Bank have attacked and killed at least 10 Israelis in the West Bank and Israel recently.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said that the Hamas suspect who was killed had been planning an attack similar to the October 7th massacre. On that day, a large group of Hamas fighters attacked Israel from Gaza, and around 1,300 people, mostly civilians, were killed. They also took around 250 people as hostages back to Gaza.

The attack made Israel start a fight in Gaza to try to destroy Hamas. The health ministry in Gaza, run by Hamas, says that over 26,600 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been killed in the Israeli attack.

The news agency in the West Bank, Wafa, said that three Palestinians in the hospital were killed on purpose.

As per the hospital staff, around 10 Israeli special forces in regular clothes went to the third floor and used quiet weapons to kill the men.

One of the PIJ members who was killed had been in the hospital for treatment since October 25th.

  • Israel and Hamas have differences, despite mediators push for ceasefire agreement in Gaza

Israel and Hamas have differences, despite mediators push for ceasefire agreement in Gaza

There is a lot of pressure to make a new agreement to stop the fighting and let the hostages go, so that the people in Gaza and the remaining hostages in Israel can feel better.

So far, Qatar and Egypt have been trying to help with negotiations, but with no success so far, even with US help.

Recently, there have been more reports indicating that important progress is being made in talks between representatives from Israel and Hamas.

On Wednesday, some Israeli officials said there is a big difference on important matters.

Based on what the media found out, the biggest problem seems to be the major disagreements on how to stop the war completely.

A high-ranking Palestinian official who knows about current discussions told us that Cairo has given Hamas officials a plan with five steps.

It is said that a ceasefire will begin, and during this time, Hamas will let go of the rest of the people it is keeping captive, like women, kids, and old people.

In return, some Palestinians would be released from Israeli prisons and more much-needed help would go to Gaza.

At last, there would be a long-lasting agreement to stop fighting completely.

Our source said that if the rest of the Israeli hostages are released, more Palestinian prisoners will also be let out of prison.

It seems like they want to free some important Palestinian prisoners in return for the Israeli soldiers who are being held captive.

The Palestinian leader said that Israel wanted to keep its soldiers in place until the very end of the process.

Hamas wants Israeli troops to leave and for people to go back to their homes soon.

Other news from around the world says that Hamas wants the fighting to stop completely, but Israel is only willing to agree to a temporary break that could last for a few weeks and might be extended depending on how things change.

At a meeting on Tuesday, Majed al-Ansari, who speaks for Qatar’s foreign ministry, said that they have given some ideas to both sides and are getting responses. This makes them feel hopeful.

Later, a person from the White House named John Kirby said that the US envoy to the Middle East, Brett McGurk, was in Cairo and would keep having important talks in the area about a new agreement to bring back hostages and make sure there is a break for humanitarian help.

“Mr Kirby told reporters that the conversations are very solemn and serious. ”

In late November, there was a ceasefire for a week. During this time, 105 Israeli and foreign hostages were set free. They had been kidnapped in the Hamas attacks on 7 October, which caused the war in Gaza. More than 250 people had been kidnapped in these attacks.

Israel and Hamas are upset with each other for not agreeing to continue releasing hostages every day in exchange for Palestinian prisoners. They are blaming each other for breaking the truce.

Now, there are big differences between what is said publicly and what can be talked about in negotiations.

This week, the leader of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, said again that only “complete victory” in Gaza is acceptable.

Many people think it’s not realistic to completely destroy Hamas, the group that has been in charge of the area for 15 years.

Israel and its Western allies don’t want to give in on the idea that Hamas leaders need to be taken out of power in Gaza. They want to make sure there are no more attacks like the one three months ago that killed over 1,300 people.

This week, there were reports in the news that Israel might be willing to let important Hamas leaders in Gaza move to other countries as part of a deal to stop fighting and free hostages. However, these reports have not been confirmed. Hamas said it didn’t agree to that idea.

Over 25,000 people have been killed in Gaza, and there’s a big problem with people’s health. Many countries are asking Israel to stop fighting, and it’s getting harder for them to ignore.

At the same time, loud protests and gatherings by the families of Israeli hostages are making sure that their request to bring their loved ones back home is a top priority in the country’s politics. They have a lot of people feeling sorry for them.

The recent news from Israel saying that talks with Hamas about exchanging hostages are not making progress will make a lot of people worried.

Unidentified diplomats spoke to Israeli media and said that reports of good news are not true. They say Hamas didn’t agree to make a compromise.

With people trying to help, the best thing is that Israel and Hamas have not said they will stop talking yet.

  • UN offers assistance after employees accused of attacking Israel

UN offers assistance after employees accused of attacking Israel

The leader of the UN agency for Palestinian refugees has called on countries that have ceased funding to reconsider their “unexpected” actions.

More than two million people in the Gaza Strip rely on it to survive, according to Philippe Lazzarini.

Eight countries, including the UK, took action because Israel said some UNRWA staff were involved in the deadly Hamas attacks on Israel on 7 October.

The agency is looking into it and has already fired those workers.

Israel has been saying for a long time that some parts of the UN, like UNRWA, are not fair and may even be against Jewish people.

Australia, Canada, Finland, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, the UK, and the US have stopped giving money to UNRWA.

Established in 1949, UNRWA is the largest United Nations agency working in Gaza. It gives medical care, schooling, and other help to Palestinians in Gaza, the West Bank, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria. It gives jobs to about 13,000 people in Gaza.

Since Israel started fighting back against Hamas, UNRWA has been using its buildings in Gaza to protect many people who had to leave their homes.

On Saturday, Mr. Lazzarini said it was surprising that funds were stopped because of allegations against a few staff members. UNRWA took quick action by firing them and asking for an independent investigation.

“It would be very wrong to punish an agency and a whole community because of allegations of crimes by some people, especially during a war, when people are being forced to leave their homes, and there are political problems in the area. ”

“UNRWA gives a list of all its workers to the countries they work in every year, even Israel. ” The agency did not get any complaints about particular staff members.

Mr Lazzarini said that a UN office is going to look into the terrible accusations and find out what really happened.

An adviser to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the media on Friday that the Hamas attacks on 7 October involved people who are getting paid by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA).

Mark Regev said they had evidence that teachers at UNRWA schools had openly rejoiced about the attacks. Hamas fighters killed about 1,300 people, mostly innocent civilians, and took 250 more as hostages.

Mr Regev also mentioned an Israeli hostage who said she was kept in the home of someone who worked for UNRWA after she was released.

“They have a group that is controlled by Hamas and I think it’s about time for the UN to look into the connections between UNRWA and Hamas,” he said.

The claims made the big donors react.

The UK government is very upset that UNRWA staff may have been part of the attack on Israel on 7 October. They have condemned this terrorist act many times.

“The UK is stopping giving money to UNRWA for now while we look into these worrying claims,” they said.

Before, the US government said it would stop giving more money to the UN agency because it was really worried about the accusations.

The EU will decide what to do next after looking at the results of the investigation.

The US, Germany, and EU give a lot of money to UNRWA.

The UN leader, António Guterres, said he was very shocked by this news.

Israel’s Foreign Minister, Israel Katz, wants to shut down UNRWA’s operations in Gaza after the war.

However, the Palestinian Authority’s minister for civilian affairs, Hussein Al-Sheikh, said that countries stopping support for the important UN agency could cause significant political and humanitarian problems.

The attacks on October 7th caused Israel to strike back hard on Hamas in Gaza. They used airstrikes and shelling that resulted in the deaths of over 26,000 Palestinians, according to the health ministry run by Hamas in that area.

UNRWA is having a hard time getting help to many of the 1. 7 million people who had to leave their homes because of 12 weeks of fighting.

  • US suspends funding to Israel over alleged attack on UNRWA employees

US suspends funding to Israel over alleged attack on UNRWA employees

The United States is worried about accusations that 12 UNRWA workers may have been part of the October incident. Hamas attacked Israel and the State Department said they temporarily stopped giving them money.

Spokesperson Matthew Miller said the Department of State has stopped giving more money to UNRWA for now. They want to check the claims and see what the United Nations is doing about them.

  • Gaza war: International Court of Justice to rule on Israel’s request to halt military action

Gaza war: International Court of Justice to rule on Israel’s request to halt military action

The UN’s highest court will decide if they should tell Israel to stop their actions in Gaza right away.

On Friday, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) will have a meeting about a case. South Africa is saying that Israel is doing very bad things, like killing many people from a particular group.

Both countries spoke when the case started two weeks ago. Israel strongly said no to the accusation.

The court’s decision against Israel is not able to be enforced, but it would still be very important in politics.

Over 25,000 Palestinians, mainly women and children, have been killed and many more hurt, according to the health ministry in Gaza. The violence started when the group Hamas attacked Israel.

The Hamas attack on October 7th killed around 1,300 people, mostly innocent people. The attackers also kidnapped about 250 people and took them back to Gaza.

South Africa is asking the court to stop Israel’s military actions towards Palestinians while they investigate claims of genocide. The decision on this is not going to happen for a long time, maybe even for years.

Israel was very upset when South Africa said they were committing genocide. They said South Africa was not telling the truth. It said it could protect itself and was only aiming at Hamas fighters, not people in Palestine.

It wanted the judges to reject South Africa’s request because it claimed the accusations of genocide were not true.

On Friday, 17 judges need to answer two questions before making a decision.

First, we need to see if South Africa’s claim against Israel fits the UN‘s rules for the 1948 Genocide Convention. The agreement, which Israel and South Africa have agreed to, explains what actions can be considered as genocide. At the beginning of the case, it is not very difficult to prove.

Furthermore, the judges can consider requests from other places besides South Africa. The panel should tell Israel to follow international law and make sure that it doesn’t stop food, water, or medicine from being delivered to people.

The ICJ can only give advice and opinions, but it doesn’t have the power to make decisions. Although its decisions are considered to have legal force, they cannot be enforced by the court. If Israel loses in court on Friday, they will probably just ignore the decision.

It would make Israel feel more pressure to stop fighting and make its allies work harder to help find a peaceful solution and get aid to the people who need it.

  • Israel-Gaza: Netanyahu challenges Biden regarding state of Palestine

Israel-Gaza: Netanyahu challenges Biden regarding state of Palestine

Israel’s leader, Benjamin Netanyahu, said no to the idea of making a Palestinian country once more.

He made these comments a few hours after talking on the phone with US President Joe Biden. The US leader said that Mr. Netanyahu might agree with the idea.

Mr Netanyahu’s comments seemed to make the differences between the US and Israel even bigger.

The US thinks it’s important for there to be a Palestinian country next to Israel for things to be stable in the long run. It’s called a “two-state solution. ”

However, the White House admitted that the US and Israeli governments have different views.

Talking to reporters after the two leaders talked for the first time in almost a month, Mr. Biden said that he still thinks it’s possible for there to be two separate countries in that area even with Mr. Netanyahu as the leader.

“There are several ways to solve a problem with two options. ” Several countries are part of the UN and. “He said some countries don’t have their own armies. ”

On Saturday, Mr. Netanyahu stuck to his position, which he has had for a long time and repeated earlier this week.

A message from his office said that Prime Minister Netanyahu told President Biden that Israel wants to keep control of Gaza after Hamas is defeated, to make sure it won’t be a danger to Israel anymore. But this goes against the Palestinians’ request to have their own country.

On Saturday, he said that Israel should have control over the area west of the Jordan River for security reasons. This area includes the Israeli-occupied West Bank.

UK Defence Secretary Grant Shapps was not happy with what Mr. Netanyahu said on Sunday. He said it was not a surprise, but still disappointing.

Some people may feel less hopeful that the Gaza crisis will lead to Israeli and Palestinian leaders talking and starting the peace process again.

Mr Netanyahu is getting more and more alone in other countries. At home, people still support the war, but there are also protests about the 130 hostages in Gaza held by Hamas.

Hamas attacked southern Israel on 7 October and killed about 1,300 people, mostly civilians. They also took 240 hostages.

Many people protested in Tel Aviv, asking Mr. Netanyahu to make a peace agreement to bring back the missing people.

Dear Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, My cousin was captured on 7 October. We believe that you can bring them back. From, Gil Dickmann We trust in you.

We believe you can agree to this agreement and help win for all the people in Israel. Just go ahead and do it, Bibi. Just go ahead and do whatever it is. “Bring the people who were taken captive, back to their homes. ”

Israeli soldiers are still moving into the southern part of Gaza. They are looking for important members of Hamas who they think are hiding in Khan Younis, which is the second largest city in the area.

The Israel army went into a tunnel in Khan Younis and found out that it was used to keep hostages, but the hostages were not there when they looked.

The fighting is mainly in southern Gaza, but there have also been new fights in the northern town of Jabalia. Palestinian fighters moved forward while Israel tried to move its soldiers and tanks south.

It’s been almost three months since Israel started sending troops into Gaza. Even though Israel’s army is much stronger than Hamas, they are still meeting strong resistance in Gaza.

The health ministry in Gaza, controlled by Hamas, said on Sunday that 25,105 people had died in the area since 7 October. More than 60,000 people were also hurt, according to the report.

  • 25,000 people have died in Gaza since the start of Israeli-Hamas offensive – Hamas-run health ministry

25,000 people have died in Gaza since the start of Israeli-Hamas offensive – Hamas-run health ministry

Over 25,000 people have died in Gaza because of Israel’s attack, according to the Hamas-run health ministry.
It was reported that 178 people died in the last day, which makes it one of the deadliest days in the war.

As the fighting kept happening, Israel’s leader Benjamin Netanyahu said no to making a country for the Palestinians.

The White House said that the US and Israel have different views on a two-state solution.

Israel started attacking after an incident on October 7th, when Hamas fighters killed 1,300 people in southern Israel and took over 240 people as hostages.

Hamas said the attack in October was necessary to fight against Israel and to free Palestinian prisoners.

Israel is concentrating its air and ground operation in southern Gaza, where they believe top leaders of Hamas are hiding in or under the city of Khan Younis.

The Israel Defense Forces found a long tunnel with traps and doors in it. It was about 830m (2,700ft) long.

The IDF video showed a tunnel with beds and rooms inside. Israel thinks about 20 people, including kids, were kept there at different times. No one was found when the tunnel was discovered.

Israeli soldiers are being attacked again in the northern part of the Gaza Strip. Hamas has taken control of an area near the town of Jabalia while Israel has sent troops and tanks south.

For over three months, Israel has been facing strong opposition from Gaza, even though their army is much stronger than Hamas’s.

According to US intelligence agencies, the Israeli military has killed about one-fifth to one-third of Hamas fighters. However, this is much less than what Mr. Netanyahu wanted, which was to completely destroy the armed group.

The secret report also says that Hamas still has enough weapons to keep attacking Israel and Israeli forces for several months. This could lead to a long war where Israel could get stuck.

The slow progress in capturing or killing top Hamas leaders, and the 130 Israeli hostages still missing, is making people in Israel more and more angry at the government.

Families of people held by Hamas are protesting and asking Mr Netanyahu to focus on getting their loved ones released instead of trying to destroy Hamas, which may be very difficult. A small group of people who are against war are showing how upset they are about the large amount of destruction caused in Gaza by a very intense and damaging military attack.

Many Israelis support their flag, but most don’t support their prime minister. A recent poll shows that only 15% of the public think the prime minister should remain in office after the war.

Mr Netanyahu and Israel’s allies disagree on how it will end. The Israeli leader said no to a future country for the Palestinians again after talking to the US president for the first time in almost a month.

In a message on X (formerly Twitter), he said that Israel should keep “security control over the whole area to the west of the Jordan River”, including the occupied West Bank territory.

Mr Netanyahu has always strongly disagreed with the idea of a Palestinian state during his time in politics. The prime minister keeps saying the same thing over and over again, even though most people don’t agree with him. He thinks most people in the country don’t want a separate country for Palestinians because they are too upset about the attacks.

He seems to be trying to stay in power, but his efforts are making Israel’s friends very frustrated. They want the violence to make both sides talk and find a way to have two separate countries that can survive.

UK Defense Secretary Grant Shapps said on the BBC that he was not happy with Mr. Netanyahu’s position The White House and Israel have different views.

Antonio Guterres, the leader of the United Nations, said it is not okay to reject a Palestinian state. He said it would make the fight last longer and be a big problem for the world’s peace and safety.

  • Israel Gaza war: Deal to deliver aid to Gaza, including hostages

Israel Gaza war: Deal to deliver aid to Gaza, including hostages

Israel and Hamas have agreed to let more help go into the damaged Gaza. Qatar helped in the making of the agreement.

They say that Hamas will give medicine to hostages with the help of Qatar and France.

In return, Israel will let more necessary things go into Gaza. The situation in the area is very bad because of three months of Israeli bombing.

The US is hopeful that more discussions could help release more hostages.

The person from the US who deals with the Middle East went to Qatar to talk about making a deal. This was mentioned by John Kirby, who works for the White House and deals with national security.

He said the conversations were “very serious and focused”. “We hope it will be successful and happen soon. ”

Hamas took people from Israel as hostages.

Before, a person from Qatar’s government named Majed Al Ansari said that an agreement about help was made.

According to the agreement, the aid items will be sent from the city of Doha in Qatar to Egypt on Wednesday. The help will be sent to Gaza to help the people who live there, and medicines will be given to Israeli prisoners.

Over 132 people are believed to still be held captive in Gaza.

Hamas caught about 240 people in a series of attacks in southern Israel on 7 October. Around 1,300 people, most of them regular people, died.

The Hostages Families HQ group wrote a letter to Israel’s war cabinet. They said that many people who had been kidnapped needed to see a doctor regularly and some were in danger right now. This was after a ceasefire ended last year.

Last week, the leader of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, said that the head of Israel’s intelligence agency Mossad, David Barnea, asked Qatar to make a deal to provide the medicines Israel needs.

On Tuesday, Mr. Netanyahu said thank you to everyone who helped.

The fighting between Hamas and Israel in October led to a lot of bombings in Gaza. More than 24,000 people have died, most of them are women and children, according to the health ministry in Gaza.

Officials from Palestine say that 85% of the people in Gaza have been forced to leave their homes. More help is reaching Gaza now, but the UN’s humanitarian boss says the situation there is very bad.

Many countries want Israel to stop fighting in Gaza because many innocent people are getting hurt.

Even the US, which is a strong supporter of Israel, has told Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that too many innocent civilians are being killed.

US State Secretary Anthony Blinken said that 90% of the people are still struggling to get enough food. This is especially harmful for children and can affect them for their whole life.

“Gaza needs more food, water, medicine, and other important things. “

Israelis in far south Hostages receive medicine as Gaza strikes

People who live in Khan Younis in southern Gaza say they experienced a very heavy night of air strikes, which was one of the worst since Israel’s offensive began.

Videos showed fire in the sky and loud sounds of bombs and gunfire in the city.

Families who were forced to leave their homes because of the fighting are now running away from a nearby hospital.

At the same time, Hamas is sending medicines for Israeli hostages. In return, they are getting more aid for Palestinian civilians in a deal mediated by Qatar.

The White House says Qatar has been having important talks about a possible new release of hostages. A US representative was also involved in the discussions.

Yasser Zaqzouq, who is staying at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis with his family, said this is the biggest noise from fighting [between Israeli soldiers and Palestinian fighters] he has ever heard.

“We never saw air strikes like this before. ” We were very afraid. All the children were yelling and crying.

Tariq Dahlan, a reporter from the area, said: “People who have been forced to leave their homes are very scared and worried at the hospital. “

“People are fleeing to the West, but they don’t know where they’re going or what will happen to them. “

It was said that Israeli tanks were very close to the hospital.

The Jordanian army’s hospital in Khan Younis was really damaged by Israeli shelling on Wednesday. The Jordanian army said that Israel broke the rules of international law.

The UN says that the war has forced most of the people in Gaza to leave their homes and live in crowded shelters where it’s hard to get things they need.

A group of UN experts said in a statement that everyone in Gaza is hungry, a quarter of the people are starving and having trouble finding food and clean water, and there may be a famine soon.

Israel’s Defense Minister, Yoav Gallant, said that Israel’s military operations against Hamas in the southern area of Gaza, including Khan Younis, will be ending soon. It is believed that leaders of the armed group may be hiding there.

He said the military started using more focused attacks in the northern area where they began their ground attack.

But now, some people from Gaza are thinking again about going back home because they saw that Israeli tanks have comeback to some areas in the north.

Israeli army leaders have said many times that the fighting will keep going for months.

Qatar is sending medicine from Doha, Qatar to El-Arish in northern Egypt. It will then be taken to Gaza. This is part of a deal Qatar made between Israel and Hamas.

The plan had been announced before, but it got stuck because of problems with organizing everything.

It’s not known how the medications will be given to about 45 of over 100 Israeli hostages who are sick and need life-saving drugs.

The Israeli prime minister’s office said that people from Qatar in Gaza will be involved, and the Red Cross may also have a role.

The deal also includes a big increase in medicine for Palestinians.

On Tuesday, the White House spokesman, John Kirby said that they are hopeful that a new deal to free the hostages could be made soon.

Qatar and Egypt, who are important negotiators, have made plans to have them released if the fighting stops.

  • Exactly 100 days since Hamas-Israel war

Exactly 100 days since Hamas-Israel war

One hundred days ago, something very surprising happened in Israel. A state that was created 75 years ago from hard times and war recently faced a threat to its survival.

Many people in Tel Aviv remembered the events of 7 October on Saturday night. Everyone was really worried about the 130 hostages taken by Hamas in Gaza. Some of them might not be alive anymore.

A hundred days ago, early in the morning, many Hamas fighters with guns broke through the Gaza border fence in different places.

They attacked the kibbutzim, military bases, and border towns. These places are used to getting rocket attacks from Gaza, but this time they were surprised by the large number of attacks from Hamas.

At least 1,200 people were killed on the border because Israeli defenses were taken by surprise.

Hundreds of young music fans running away to save themselves at the Nova festival really scared Israel. Over 360 people died at the festival and many others were taken to Gaza.

Many people were killed in the Israeli bombing after Hamas attacked. Over 23,000 people have been killed, with many of them being women and children, according to the health ministry run by Hamas. It is thought that thousands more people are dead under collapsed buildings.

In Israel on Saturday, families of the missing people went to a big event in Tel Aviv. They carried posters and wore T-shirts with the faces of their loved ones on them.

I talked to Yossi Schneider, who is Shiri Bibas’ cousin. She and her family were taken by force.

Yossi is upset because 130 people, mostly not soldiers, are being kept without medicine. The Red Cross isn’t allowed to see them and Yossi’s family doesn’t know how they are doing.

My family has three generations that are missing. My family has three generations, and everyone is telling us to stay calm and be quiet. “I am tired and frustrated, I can’t handle this anymore,” he says.

Many people here believe that on 7 October, Israel faced its biggest threat ever and Israelis have never felt so unprotected. The government’s main focus is to bring the hostages back safely, and most people support their goals in the war in Gaza. There are only a few people asking for tolerance and living together peacefully.

As Israel’s defense forces reacted to the events in the south on Saturday, October 7, they began a big bombing campaign in Gaza. They want to completely destroy Hamas and its supporters.

A lot of the land from Gaza city to Khan Younis has been completely ruined.

Israel is saying that Hamas in northern Gaza has become very weak and almost unable to operate as a group.

However, a lot of innocent people have been killed in the Israeli bombing.

Officials from Palestine say that 85% of the people in Gaza have been forced to leave their homes. More help is going to Gaza, but the head of the UN’s aid efforts says the situation there is really bad.

Faten Abu Shahada has to get kidney treatment often, so she and her family had to move to the south. Faten and the children now live in a plastic tent in Khan Younis. They can always hear an Israeli drone flying above them.

“Gaza is in ruins. ” Faten says there is nothing left in Gaza – no hospitals, no schools. “Our kids missed school, Gaza is not thriving anymore. ”

Many countries want Israel to stop fighting in Gaza because many civilians are suffering a lot.

Even the US, which is a close friend of Israel and supports its right to defend itself, has told Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that too many innocent civilians are being killed.

President Biden said that Israel’s widespread bombing is causing the country to lose support from other countries.

Gideon Levy writes for the Israeli newspaper Haaretz and often disagrees with Mr. I asked him if this war, which is Israel’s longest since 1948, will end soon.

Levy said the war will continue as long as Americans let Israel keep fighting.

He said, “I don’t think it will be much longer, maybe just a few more weeks. ” However, this doesn’t mean that the war has ended because nobody has considered what will happen next.

“If Israel doesn’t leave Gaza, there will be a fight. ” If someone fights back, they will be fought against.

The war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza is still going on, and it doesn’t seem like Mr Netanyahu wants to end it anytime soon.

Israel says the fighting will continue until Hamas is completely beaten. The near future for the region, and especially for many people living in bad conditions in Gaza, looks really bad.

The population of the southern Gaza city has grown to over a million people as people from other parts of Gaza come there to stay safe.

The IDF said they are checking the reports.

Missiles were also shot from Gaza into the southern part of Israel.

Samir Qeshta from Rafah said that his house was completely destroyed by Israeli bombing while he and his wife were not at home.

“This house kept me and my children safe and protected. ” “We are peaceful. They attacked us without warning,” he said.

Nimma al-Akhras was at her house when the bombing started.

“The strike was unexpected,” she says. “We were yelling and I couldn’t move until someone picked me up and placed me on a cart. ”

“What did we do that was not right. We were just sitting. ” It’s not safe at home or outside. “Where should we go. ”

The IDF stopped fighting in the city for a short time to help people in need after earlier attacks.

Israel is attacking the members and buildings of Hamas and is trying to prevent civilians from getting hurt.

On Telegram, the health ministry spokesperson Ashraf al-Qudra said that the buildings and medical facilities in Rafah are not enough to help the around 1. 3 million people who had to leave their homes.

“Rafah is getting very crowded because a lot of Palestinian families who have been forced to leave their homes have been arriving in the area,” he said.

The doctors at Nasser hospital in the city said it is hard for them to help patients because the healthcare system is not working well.

“Dr Mohammad al-Qidra said that a lot of the important medical things in the ICU are not there. ” “We have no empty beds and can’t provide any treatment. ” Many of the medicines in the emergency room are not sufficient for the patients. We are looking for other options.

Many people who have nowhere to live are staying in the hospital.

Less than half of Gaza’s hospitals are working, and the ones that are working are only partially functioning, according to the World Health Organisation. There were not many ambulances working in the Gaza Strip, said the health ministry run by Hamas.

In the middle of Gaza, people said there were big fights with guns, tanks shooting, and attacks from Israeli planes in the Bureij, Nuseirat and Maghazi refugee camps – places with lots of buildings close together.

The Israeli army said they attacked some places and killed many fighters.

The IDF reported that they killed Hamas fighters in Khan Younis. Hamas said they fired at an IDF helicopter near the city.

Israel started its attack because many Hamas fighters went into southern Israeli towns from Gaza. They killed around 1,300 people and took about 240 others as hostages.

  • Israeli siblings team up to win the world bowls championship

Israeli siblings team up to win the world bowls championship

Brothers David and Zvika Hadar traveled the world together when they were young, before they had their own families.

Forty years later, after being in Brazil and Jamaica, they wanted to go on another adventure and feel young again.

We went to Amsterdam to celebrate New Year’s Eve, but that was just a quick visit before heading to the beautiful Potters Resort in Hopton-On-Sea, Norfolk.

It might not be a popular route, but they had a good reason – they were the Israeli players competing in the Open Pairs at the World Indoor Bowls Championships.

They were not able to play on the famous blue rink because they lost their first round match in a tie-break against Scotland’s Ronnie Duncan and Colin Walker.

David was happy with his first time performing on the big stage.

“He said he had a great time. ” “I’m really pleased with how our team did, even though we didn’t win. ”

“I like the people here, they are very nice. It’s special to be here. The food is great, the shows are great, and all the staff are wonderful. This place is beautiful. ”

    It’s hard to leave Israel.

It’s not easy to qualify for the World Championships, and the ongoing fight between the Hadar brothers’ home country Israel and Hamas made it even harder.

David, who is 69 years old and no longer working, and Zvika, who is 65 years old and works in real estate, both live in the city of Ra’anana. Ra’anana is around 6 miles (10km) north of Tel-Aviv.

Zvika says it was hard to decide to leave their home because of the current situation.

“He said that Israelis are a little scared when they hear about anti-Semitism in the world. ”

In Amsterdam and here, everyone has been very supportive and sympathetic, which has pleasantly surprised me.

Deciding to come here was hard because in Israel, we have been sad for the last three months about the people we know who got hurt or died.

In November, I didn’t go to the Scottish International competition even though I could, because it was too close to the problem. It wasn’t okay to leave the bad situation and go have fun.

“I also wanted to come here and show Israelis in a positive way on TV and in person, instead of only focusing on the war and the people who are getting hurt. ”

Spending a week with my brother and trying to win against the best bowlers in the world has been really fun.

    Adjusting something inside.

During the World Championships, Wayne Willgress and Mervyn King, who are top players, have said that it’s really hard to figure out how fast the blue rink is, even though they live nearby.

David and Zvika have a hard time because there are no indoor bowls places in Israel. They both belong to Ra’Annana Bowls Club.

“Bowling is not as popular in Israel as it is here,” Zvika says. “There are four groups of people, each with 400-500 members, playing on the grass. ”

“We’re not used to being inside all the time, so it’s hard for us to get used to it when we’re here. ”

Luckily, some past champions were there to help David, who hasn’t been playing for very long.

“I practiced with two very experienced bowlers, Greg Harlow and David Gourlay MBE, as a new international bowler,” he said.

“They were both really kind, they helped me and gave me advice. ” I got new bowls because of them.

Zvika has been bowling for a long time and has won competitions at a high level, including beating the world champion in 2010.

He remembers playing with the best players in the world for the first time.

“It was the same for me, especially in the first few years. They always want to help the new overseas players who don’t have much experience on this blue portable rink, which is not easy,” he said.

“I’ve been bowling for 20 years and the event at Potters is the most exciting and fun. The people here are friendly and the conditions for us as players are great. It’s also shown on TV all over the world. We really enjoy coming here and having a great time. ”

David and Zvika lost their game, but playing bowls together has brought them back together after a long time.

Zvika said we were very close when we were young, but then we got married and started our own families.

“Now two brothers are going on a trip together and having a lot of fun. “

After Israel attacked the southern city, many people from other parts of Gaza went there to find safety.

Samir Qeshta said his home was “completely ruined” in the bombing.

“This house protected me and my kids. ” “I was getting my son ready to get married and setting up the place for him to live in,” he tells the AFP news agency.

“We are peaceful, they attacked us without warning. ” I went to see my sister while my wife was at her parents’ house.

Nimma al-Akhras was at her house when the bombing started.

“It was a very surprising strike,” she says. “We screamed and I couldn’t move until someone picked me up and put me on a cart. ”

“What did we do to make a mistake. We were just sitting. ” Our homes and outside are not safe. Where can we go.

  • Israel claims charge of genocide is untrue

Israel claims charge of genocide is untrue

Israel has said that South Africa is not telling the truth in its case against Israel at the International Court of Justice. South Africa is accusing Israel of committing genocide.

South Africa gave a big description of what could have happened differently in the Israel-Palestinian conflict, according to Israeli lawyer Tal Becker.

South Africa accuses Israel of killing many Palestinians in the fighting in Gaza.

It also wants the court to make Israel stop its military action.

The ICJ is the top court of the United Nations. The decisions of the ICJ are supposed to be followed by countries like Israel and South Africa, but they cannot be forced to follow them.

Israel is presenting its argument to the court one day after South Africa did.

On Thursday, there was fighting outside the court in The Hague, Netherlands between Palestinian and Israeli supporters. Police tried to keep them apart.

Many people with flags from Palestine gathered outside the Peace Palace, shouting for the fighting to stop. Israeli supporters put up a screen to show pictures of more than 130 hostages still in Gaza.

South Africa says Israel is breaking a promise to stop genocide. Both countries agreed to this promise in 1949.

Israel has been fighting against Hamas, the group that runs Gaza, since October 7th. This was because hundreds of Hamas fighters attacked Israel, killing around 1,300 people and taking about 240 others as hostages back to Gaza.

The health ministry in Gaza, which is controlled by Hamas, says that over 23,350 people, mostly women and children, have been killed by Israel in the war.

In the beginning of the trial, Tal Becker said that even though it’s sad that civilians are suffering, Hamas is trying to hurt both Israelis and Palestinians, while Israel is trying to protect them.

He said that South Africa has given the court a very wrong and misleading picture of the facts and the law. Their whole case relies on a purposely selected, taken out of context, and manipulative description of the current fighting.

On Thursday, 17 judges in the court listened to lawyer Tembeka Ngcukaitobi from South Africa. He said Israel’s intentions to commit genocide were clear from the way they were conducting their military attacks.

Israel had a plan to “destroy” Gaza, he said, which “has been nurtured at the highest level of state”. Israel planned to “destroy” Gaza, and he said it was a plan made by the state’s highest leaders.

Adila Hassim, who is from South Africa, told the court that the Palestinian people are suffering every day. They are losing their lives, homes, dignity, and humanity.

“Only a court order can make the suffering stop. ”

South Africa said that Israel’s actions are meant to destroy a large part of the Palestinian people.

On Thursday, the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, criticized South Africa for not speaking out against the terrible things happening in Syria and Yemen that are being done by people who work with Hamas. He said South Africa is being hypocritical.

“Today everything was upside-down. ” Israel is being accused of killing lots of people, but they say they are fighting against killing lots of people.

A representative for UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said that Mr. Sunak thinks that South Africa’s case is completely unfair and incorrect.

“The UK government supports Israel’s right to defend itself according to international law,” he said.

The ICJ’s decision on the genocide accusation will just be a point of view, but a lot of people are paying close attention to it.

It may take a long time for a decision to be made, but the court may decide quickly on whether Israel should stop its military actions in response to South Africa’s request.

  • South Africa’s genocide case against Israel to be heard by UN court

South Africa’s genocide case against Israel to be heard by UN court

The UN’s court is listening to a case from South Africa. They are saying that Israel is doing terrible things to Palestinians in Gaza.

The request also asks the court to tell Israel to stop fighting in that area.

The ICJ will only give their view on the genocide claim because it’s not a criminal trial. But many people are paying close attention to it.

Israel strongly denied the accusation as “baseless”.

On Thursday, there was a lot of anger outside the ICJ’s Peace Palace as Dutch police tried to keep Palestinian and Israeli supporters from fighting.

Many people holding flags from Palestine came together outside the ICJ, asking for fighting to stop. Israeli supporters put up a screen to display pictures of some of the hostages still being held in Gaza.

South Africa will explain its side on Thursday and Israel will give its side on Friday.

South Africa says that Israel is trying to destroy many Palestinians.

Israel is doing things that hurt and kill people in Gaza, and it’s making their lives very hard.

The court wants Israel to stop all fighting in Gaza right away.

The ICJ is an important court for the United Nations, located in the Hague, Netherlands. The decisions of the ICJ are supposed to be followed by countries like Israel and South Africa, but they don’t have to follow them if they don’t want to.

In 2022, the court told Russia to stop fighting in Ukraine right away, but they didn’t listen.

In the law of the world, genocide means doing something on purpose to destroy a group of people because of their nationality, race, or religion.

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) is different from the International Criminal Court (ICC). It doesn’t have the power to put people on trial for things like genocide. But its decisions are important to the United Nations and other global organizations.

On Wednesday, the president of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa, said that his country is strongly against the killing of people in Gaza and is taking the matter to the ICJ.

The President of Israel, Isaac Herzog, said the accusations were terrible and ridiculous.

“We will go to the International Court of Justice and proudly present our case for using self-defense under humanitarian law,” he said.

He said the Israeli army is working very hard in difficult situations to avoid causing harm to innocent people.

The ICJ might decide soon on South Africa’s request for Israel to stop its military actions. But it could take a long time for a final decision on whether Israel is committing genocide.

William Schabas, an international law professor who led a UN committee looking into Israel’s fight with Hamas in 2014, said it is easy for the court to order Israel to stop.

He told the BBC that South Africa must show evidence to support its argument in court, but it doesn’t mean the court will decide if genocide is happening or not.

South Africa is very upset about Israel’s military operation in Gaza and the African National Congress has always supported the Palestinian cause.

It relates to its fight against apartheid, which was a system in South Africa where the white minority government discriminated against the black majority until 1994.

In Gaza, over 23,350 people have died since the war started after Hamas attacked southern Israel on October 7th, according to the health ministry run by Hamas. In the attacks, about 1,300 people, mostly civilians, were killed and around 240 people were taken hostage.

Prayers chanted by mourners for deceased Hezbollah commander

Today, people in the village of Khirbet Selem in southern Lebanon came together for the funeral of Wissam Tawil. He was a high-ranking leader in the group Hezbollah and had been killed the day before in a likely attack by Israel.

The coffin, covered with Hezbollah’s yellow flag, was carried in a parade through the streets, with people singing prayers.

His death was a big event in the ongoing problem between Hezbollah, a strong Lebanese group supported by Iran, and Israel.

Tawil, a high-ranking member of Hezbollah’s Radwan force, was killed in the recent fighting. This has made people worried that there will be a big war.

Hezbollah keeps on attacking Israel from across the border. They hit positions in Israel. There are also reports that another important leader of the group was killed in southern Lebanon by Israel.

So far, Hezbollah has planned its attacks carefully, and the fighting has mostly stayed near the borders.

Israel sees the group as a strong enemy because it has many well-trained fighters and a lot of rockets, including missiles that can reach far into Israel.

Israeli leaders say it’s very important to make the northern part of the country safe again – even if they have to use the army.

Some people, like Defence Minister Yoav Gallant, have said that if the situation gets worse, there could be a very strong reaction. They are saying that the military could do to Beirut what it has already done to Gaza.

  • Saudi Arabia hopes to work with Israel after war

Saudi Arabia hopes to work with Israel after war

The Saudi Arabian ambassador to the UK wants to make friends with Israel after the war in Gaza, but only if it helps create a country for the Palestinians.

Prince Khalid bin Bandar told the media that a deal was almost finished. The talks between the US and Saudi Arabia were stopped after Hamas attacked Israel on 7 October.

Saudi Arabia still wants to be friends with Israel even though many people were hurt in Gaza. But they won’t do it if it means hurting the Palestinian people.

The ambassador said that the international community is not doing enough to stop the fighting in Gaza and that this is a failure of humanity.

He also said he wants the UK to be fair to Israel and treat it like it treats other countries. “The lack of attention towards Israel is a problem because it hinders peace,” he said.

Saudi Arabia is a leading country in the Arab and Islamic world. Since 1948, it has not officially accepted Israel, and if a deal to make things normal between the two countries happens, it would be a very big moment for Israel.

In late September, the leader of Saudi Arabia said in a TV interview in the US that we are getting closer to an agreement every day.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman thinks the Palestinian issue is very important. He said any agreement should make life easier for the Palestinians. But he didn’t say it had to lead to a new Palestinian state.

Palestinian leaders have said they will reject any deal that doesn’t give them a state. But earlier, they were asking for more money and control of land in the West Bank in exchange for working with the US-backed Saudi-Israel process.

Saudi officials wanted the US to stop talking about the attack a few days after it happened. About 1,300 people were killed and 240 others were taken hostage by hundreds of Hamas gunmen from Gaza. They had gone into southern Israeli communities.

The health ministry in Gaza, which is under the control of Hamas, says that over 23,200 people have died during the fighting between Israel and Hamas. Israel started the military campaign to try and get rid of Hamas.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke to reporters after meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed on Monday. He mentioned that the topic of normalizing relations was discussed during their meeting.

“He wants to keep working on that,” he said. “But first the fighting in Gaza must stop, and there must be a clear way for the Palestinians to have their own state. “

During an interview with the BBC’s Today show, the Saudi ambassador in London said that his country’s leaders are definitely interested in making an agreement.

[A deal] was almost done, that’s for sure. We really wanted Palestine to become an independent state in the end. Prince Khalid said that we still believe in normalizing the situation, but not if it hurts the Palestinian people.

He said, “We were almost back to normal,so we were close to having a Palestinian state. “You can’t have one without the other. They were talking about how things are put in order and managed.

When asked if Saudi Arabia thinks Hamas should be part of the future Palestinian state, Prince Khalid said they need to think about it a lot. Hamas is considered a terrorist group by Israel, the US, UK, and other Western countries.

“If you believe things can get better, then change is possible. ” But when there is a fight, you have to understand that both sides have lost, he said.

“Israel’s current government has a very strong and uncompromising view, which makes it hard to find a solution to the conflict. “

He didn’t say much, but the US criticized two extreme Israeli politicians for suggesting that Palestinians should be moved out of Gaza.

Prince Khalid said that the war in Gaza has caused a lot of people to die and has also led to a big crisis. He also warned that there is a risk that some people may become radical because of the war.

“The high level of violence from both sides, especially from Israel, in the past three months is something I have never seen before,” he said. “The numbers are very bad, really bad. “

“This will make Palestinian people and others around the world feel even more hopeless. “Every one sees human failure in what is happening, because no one has taken action to stop it. Efforts are being made, but they are not sufficient.

  • Residents near Israel’s border fear northward invasion

Residents near Israel’s border fear northward invasion

Efrat Eldan Schechter is from the Northern Galilee and never thought about moving anywhere else until the events of 7 October.

When she saw and heard about what was happening in southern Israel that morning, with Hamas fighters coming from Gaza, it reminded her of the stories from the “Yom Kippur” or 1973 Middle East war, when Israel was attacked on two fronts at the same time.

I was really scared. “Everyone was still asleep and I was worried that the same thing might happen again like in 1973, and that Hezbollah might come for us,” says Efrat, as we talk in her front garden with the sound of Israeli artillery in the background.

“I woke everyone up right away, packed everything quickly, and drove to a family member’s house in the middle of Israel. ”

After a month, the family went back to their home near Kiryat Shmona. They were upset because they still live in a dangerous area close to where the war is happening. Efrat calls it a “buffer zone” and they are still at risk of being hit by rockets from Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.

The mother of three is worried that nothing will happen to stop Hezbollah from invading Israel, as they are waiting at the border. “I can’t sleep peacefully. ” I want the government to ensure that we are safe here.

Since the fighting started on 8 October, there have been clashes between Hezbollah and Israel in the north along the border.

But the fighting is very serious and dangerous – officials say that nine soldiers and four civilians have been killed in Israel, while authorities in Lebanon have reported that 123 people have been killed, including at least 21 civilians.

The small towns in northern Israel are empty like ghost towns now. More than 80,000 people have been moved to places in the south, but Nissan Zeevi is one of the few who has chosen to stay. The man who does business and helps with civil defense shows me around his kibbutz, Kfar Giladi, which is just north of Kiryat Shmona. The view is beautiful as you look at the green Hula valley and Mount Hermon far away, but this border has always been dangerous.

Nissan thinks most people can’t go back home or work until there’s a guarantee of long-lasting peace, just like Efrat. He is really upset that the UN Security Council rule 1701, which helped stop the 2006 war in Lebanon between Israel and Hezbollah, has not been completely followed.

Nissan says it’s very important that 1701 demands that armed groups (like Hezbollah) in southern Lebanon stop being so involved in the military. And that hasn’t been done.

Nissan is part of a group called Lobby 1701. They want Israel to use either diplomacy or military action to implement a resolution.

“He wants the government to handle Hezbollah and get rid of the danger from southern Lebanon,” he tells me, pointing to the many Lebanese villages he can see from his home, where he says a lot of the incoming attacks come from.

I asked Nissan if he would support more action by the Israeli government in southern Lebanon and he said yes, definitely. He also mentioned that he is not the only one who feels this way. Many people in Israel want the same thing. He also says if we don’t do this, we will have another problem like 7 October.

Last month, I went to the small towns in southern Lebanon. Israel is saying that Hezbollah is hiding in communities and using them to launch attacks, so they are conducting strikes on those areas every day. Just like in Israel, many people have left these places and many have died. People on both sides of the border are experiencing loss.

The chance of the small fight at the border turning into a big war got higher on Monday. A leader of Hezbollah, Wissam Tawil, was killed in an air strike on his car in Khirbet Selim. It is thought that Israel carried out a drone attack in Beirut last week, which killed Hamas’s deputy leader, Saleh al-Arouri, in a Hezbollah area.

This is bad news for people who work near the front line and are trying to earn a living.

Farmer Ofer “Poshko” Moskovitz from Kibbutz Misgav Am cannot harvest the valuable avocados from his farm because the Israeli army thinks it is too risky for him to work in his orchards, which are next to the border with Lebanon, to the northwest of Kiryat Shmona.

However, not like most people I talked to in the north, this calm and cheerful farmer believes that a bigger war can be prevented.

“I’m not worried because Israel is a powerful country,” says Ofer as we walk through hundreds of nearly ripe, green avocados scattered on the ground. He keeps saying: “No one wants war here. ” We want to handle it diplomatically and they are trying to find a solution – the army and diplomatic efforts are working together.

Ofer doesn’t show much hope or confidence in this place.

Sarit Zahavi lives near the border and started the Alma Research Institute in northern Israel. She spends a lot of time studying the politics of Israel’s neighboring countries.

“We are in a very dangerous situation. If there is a diplomatic agreement, it will bring peace and a stop to fighting. ” “And everyone will think it’s good news,” she says to me.

In my opinion, if there is a ceasefire, no one will make sure it happens. Hezbollah will keep getting stronger and keep improving its ability to attack Israel.

Not many people in northern Israel believe that talking can stop a big war. Hezbollah’s leader, Hassan Nasrallah, has promised to fight back against Israel, and Israel is also getting ready for things to possibly get worse.

On Monday, Israel did a lot of bombing near its border, right when the US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken came to Tel Aviv.

With the very bad war in Gaza and the new things happening in the north, it seems very hard for Secretary Blinken.

  • Blinken in Middle East for difficult conversations

Blinken in Middle East for difficult conversations

The US is Israel‘s best friend, but today they will have difficult discussions.

For weeks, Washington has been asking Israel to stop their attack on Hamas in Gaza. The attack has killed many civilians and caused a lot of damage and a big problem for people’s well-being.

Israel’s military is trying to focus more on specific targets in its attacks, but many people have still been killed in its recent bombing of central and southern Gaza.

In answer to some ministers saying Palestinians should go somewhere else, Blinken will say that people from Gaza who had to leave should be able to go back to their homes.

However, there are reports that Israel may connect this to a new agreement to free its hostages who are being held by Hamas.

Blinken will also push for a clear plan for what should happen after the war in Gaza, and for more work to stop the war from spreading.

Yesterday, Israel reportedly killed a high-ranking commander of the Lebanese armed group, Hezbollah, in southern Lebanon, showing that the conflict is spreading.

Dozens dead in northern Gaza – Reports

We told you before that 57 people died at Al-Aqsa hospital in central Gaza in the last day.

Wafa, the news agency in Palestine, reported that Israel did bombings in central and southern areas, including around the Maghazi and Al-Bureij camps.

The organization said many people died in Jabalia and Beit Hanoun, at the top of the Gaza strip.

Israel has not said anything yet about the raids it did last night. The statement aims to attack terrorists and their buildings but wants to reduce harm to innocent people.

Blinken in Israel in attempt to halt wider conflict in Middle East

The US official Antony Blinken is visiting Israel to talk about how to stop the fighting in Gaza from getting worse.

Washington has been asking Israel to do things to make sure civilians don’t get hurt for several weeks.

The US has also said that people from Gaza who had to leave their homes should be allowed to go back, even though some Israeli politicians want them to go somewhere else.

Ahead of his meeting with Israel’s President Isaac Herzog on Tuesday, Blinken said, “There are many important topics to discuss, especially finding a way to move forward. ”

Israel says it is using more focused attacks, but the health ministry in Gaza run by Hamas says 57 more people have died at just one hospital.

Israel started attacking Gaza after Hamas attacked them from across the border more than 3 months ago. About 1,200 people were killed in Israel during the attack.

Starting from 7th of October, over 22,000 people, mostly women and children, have been killed in Gaza, as reported by the health ministry run by Hamas.

I’ll take all necessary steps to bring security back to the north – Netanyahu

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says he will do whatever it takes to make the north of Israel safe again after clashes with Hezbollah near the border with Lebanon.

Talking to soldiers on Israel’s border, Netanyahu said his government will do everything to make sure families can come home safely and that Israel cannot be messed with.

“We’ll do whatever needs to be done. ” Of course, we would like this to happen without a big advertising effort, but we will still go ahead with it,” he says.

City in northern Israel hit by rocket

Israeli police are managing a rocket that landed in the city of Kiryat Shmona, close to the border with Lebanon.

No one got hurt or had their things broken, but the attack happened after Israel and a strong group in Lebanon called Hezbollah had been fighting for a while. Hezbollah is friends with Hamas.

Attacks have been happening between borders for a while. The situation got worse after a Hamas leader was killed in Beirut last week.

IDF says it attacked many Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, including places where rockets are launched and a Hezbollah military base.

Hezbollah said they have attacked Israeli military places and have had success, like barracks and a radar site in northern Israel.

  • Israel-Palestinian hostility intensified by war and Hamas attack

Israel-Palestinian hostility intensified by war and Hamas attack

Despite the ongoing war in Gaza and the large number of people dying, a new survey shows that many Palestinians support the deadly attacks by Hamas on Israel, which started the conflict. At the same time, most Israelis support their country’s military and are not thinking much about the deaths of Palestinian civilians. They want to defeat Hamas and bring back their hostages. This is what the polls show.

For three months, I have been talking to Israelis and Palestinians in Jerusalem to hear what they think about the ongoing conflict.

The cafes in the western part of the city are very busy, serving foamy coffees in the winter sun. However, Israelis are constantly worried about the ongoing war in Gaza.

“Always thinking about it, we have lots of friends with kids and family who are in Gaza, and we pray for them a lot,” says Edna, a Jewish woman from Bnei Brak.

“Yesterday we went to see our friend’s son who was really hurt. ” They are not sure if he will lose both of his legs. She says he won’t do it because God wants it that way.

“We are still thinking about the people who have been taken hostage. ” “It feels like a part of ourselves is inside it. ”

On October 7th, about 1,200 people were killed in southern Israel in attacks. Over 100 out of 240 hostages who were taken to Gaza are still being held captive.

Meanwhile, Israel has attacked Gaza by air and ground, and it has caused the death of about 23,000 people, according to the health ministry in Gaza. Most of the 2. 3 million people who live in Gaza had to leave their homes because there was a lot of damage.

However, a survey by the Israel Democracy Institute (IDI) recently discovered that most Israelis do not believe that Israel should comply with the US’s request to decrease the amount of bombing in crowded areas during the war.

“Professor Tamar Hermann, who is a top pollster at IDI, says that anyone who wants to know about the situation in Gaza can look it up online. She is talking about the pain and struggles of the people there. ” “But the news on TV is not showing us the same things that people see in Europe or other countries. ”

She also says that when people in Gaza were seen cheering and celebrating the attack on October 7th, it made people in Israel less sympathetic towards them.

In this military operation, civilians are not seen as innocent bystanders like they were in the past. “Prof Hermann says that people are not showing much sympathy. ”

I met Tzafir Bracha when I was on my way to the Old City. He came for a visit. He is staying with family and is one of many Israelis from southern Israel who hasn’t been able to go back home for three months. He is still feeling very shocked about what happened.

“I believe it will take a while for everyone to realize how significant and disastrous the event on October 7th was. ” “I think most of us are still feeling hurt,” he tells me. “I don’t think anyone can understand unless it happened to them. ”

Tzafir thinks that the world needs to see that Hamas must be stopped so it can’t hurt anyone anymore.

“We need to win. ” You need to find the people responsible for this and remove them from society. Only then can we truly have peace.

In the small streets of the Old City, a lot of Palestinians from the part of Jerusalem that is controlled by another group tell me they feel limited in what they can say in public. Many people say that Israel often watches social media posts.

But everyone I meet is keeping up with the war all the time.

I have an account on Instagram, it’s called X. “I keep up with people from Gaza,” Haneen, a student nurse, explains. “We are all very unhappy. ”

But she says she doesn’t believe what Israel said happened on October 7th.

Palestinians don’t believe what Israel says because they use propaganda. We know that some things are correct, but other things are not.

Most Palestinians feel the same way as her, according to a recent survey in the West Bank and Gaza conducted by the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research.

“Most Palestinians don’t think Hamas has done anything wrong, and most haven’t seen any videos of bad things happening. ” “Professor Shikaki says that these videos are available for everyone to see. ”

His study showed that more people in the West Bank are starting to support Hamas, even though most Palestinians still don’t support the group. Israel, the UK, and many Western countries see Hamas as a terrorist organization.

In the survey, 72% of Palestinians thought it was right for Hamas to start their attack on October 7th.

A store owner from Palestine, who doesn’t want to say his name, is trying to explain why. He says foreign media doesn’t understand the hard life in Gaza because of the blockade by Israel and Egypt since Hamas took over.

“The people in Gaza feel like they are stuck in a very small place and can’t leave, like being in a prison,” he says.

He feels hopeless about the world’s countries because they are not doing enough to stop the fighting.

“We watch hard things on the TV. ” Very hard Children die Women are being murdered. Elderly people are being killed for no reason. They didn’t do nothing. The shopkeeper says, “I can’t believe it. ”

“To be honest, I can’t understand why people would watch these kinds of things and not do anything to stop it. It’s as if they’re just watching a movie and it doesn’t mean anything to them. ”

In Jerusalem, there are many things that separate the Israelis and Palestinians I have talked to.

But, most people now don’t trust each other and are afraid of what will happen in the coming months. Both sides feel that people from different countries don’t understand their hardships.

  • I want Rishi Sunak to say this one word in Parliament

I want Rishi Sunak to say this one word in Parliament

Today marks the three month anniversary of Hamas’s attack on Israel, and the escalation of the conflict has had a terrible impact on those in the area and beyond.

Tensions have ramped up all over the world, harming both Jewish and Muslim communities.

The UK is no exception to this and while most people are able to express their views peacefully and respectfully, we have sadly seen too many instances of antisemitism and Islamophobia.

In the month immediately following Hamas’s attack on Israel, the Community Security Trust noted a 514% increase in acts of antisemitic incidents this year compared to the same period last year, which is also reflected in data from police forces across the UK released last week.

Meanwhile, Muslim Council of Britain has also noted a troubling surge in Islamophobic attacks, stating: ‘Over the course of this devastating conflict, we have seen a surge of hate crime, with a 140% increase in Islamophobic offences in London alone’.

Organisations may collate their data differently, but the important thing for all of us to note is that these worrying incidents are on the rise.

Yet, amazingly, according to Hansard records, Rishi Sunak has never once uttered the word ‘Islamophobia’ in the House of Commons – he has only referred to it as ‘anti-Muslim hate’.

This doesn’t cut it. It is not good enough to redefine something – if we do not name the problem, we can’t possibly tackle it.

Sunak shouldn’t shy away from using the word, in the same way he doesn’t with antisemitism, which he has mentioned in Parliament 16 times since the war started.

It is imperative that from the Prime Minister down, the Tories need to start calling this hatred what it is – and invest time and more money in stamping out Islamophobia.
