You are crazy – Opambour slams Prophet Adom Kyei-Duah ‘Jesus image saga’

Prophet Ebenezer Adarkwa, widely known as Opambour, has strongly criticized Prophet Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah, the head pastor of Believers Worship Center, for making controversial statements suggesting that his image would replace that of Jesus Christ in the future.

Opambour, speaking on his Prophet 1TV, vehemently condemned Prophet Adom Kyei-Duah’s assertion, describing it as blasphemous and disrespectful to the image of Christ.

He emphasized that no genuine pastor ordained by God would dare to equate himself with Jesus Christ in such a manner.

“A person who goes through purification rituals like urination, brushing his teeth, and bathing now claims his image will replace that of Jesus Christ? Such talk is futile and absurd. No sane individual would make such a claim and still profess to be a servant of God,” Opambour stated firmly in Twi.

The seasoned prophet warned Prophet Adom Kyei-Duah of potential repercussions if he continues to propagate such assertions.

He urged him to exhibit self-respect and refrain from making statements that invite widespread criticism and condemnation.

“This is the work of God; let us not deceive ourselves. To declare that your face will replace Jesus’ for the next 500 years is akin to freemasonry,” Opambour added, expressing his disapproval of the controversial statement.

Prophet Adom Kyei-Duah’s remarks, made in a video circulating on social media, have sparked backlash and outrage among many social media users and religious communities.

In the video, the Believers Worship Center pastor claimed divine instructions to replace all existing depictions of Jesus Christ with his own image over the next five centuries.

Jesus’ cruxifiction was as a result of prophesy not people’s opinion – Sam George schools Gabby Otchere-Darko

Ningo Prampram’s Member of Parliament, Samuel Nartey George, has corrected Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, by stating that Jesus’ crucifixion was a fulfillment of prophecy, not a result of the voice of the people.

Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko wrote on X that “If you think the majority is always right just remember that it was the voice of the people that crucified Jesus of Nazareth.”

George responded to Otchere-Darko’s statement by explaining that Jesus’ death was predetermined by prophecy, not influenced by public opinion.

“The crucifixion of Jesus of Nazareth was fulfilment of prophecy and scripture. It is the divine mandate of his birth to be crucified. The voice of the majority was ordained by God and led to salvation for Christians today. Let’s pay more attention to the details Senior,” Sam George wrote on X.

  • “I have my issues with Jesus” – Kanye West decides to ‘fight’ life solo as ‘God’

“I have my issues with Jesus” – Kanye West decides to ‘fight’ life solo as ‘God’

During a recent interview, rapper Kanye West, now known as Ye, expressed his feelings about Jesus, stating that he has “issues with Jesus” and prefers to take matters into his “own hands” rather than giving Jesus full control.

The interview, which also featured rapper Ty Dolla $ign, a collaborator on Ye’s new album Vultures 1, was conducted by radio personality Big Boy and posted on his Big Boy TV YouTube channel on Sunday.

“I have my issues with Jesus,” West began during the interview, which lasted for over an hour. “There’s a lot of stuff I went through, and I prayed, and I ain’t see Jesus show up.”

“I had to put my experience in this world, my experience with my children, my experience with other people, my experience with my account, my experience with my brand and my experience with the level of music that I was dealing with, in my own hands.”Β

West criticized American Christians today for not being proactive enough when given opportunities to help others.

“I just feel like in our society and America, people, Christians will depend on Jesus so much that we don’t put the word in ourselves. And the main thing that I don’t rock with is like, ‘I’m going to pray for you.’ It’s just like, you can actually physically do something yourself, too, more than just praying.”Β

“And we’re so in this mentality that that’s all that needs to happen. But we aren’t praying our way out of prison. We aren’t praying our way out of the abortion clinics. We aren’t praying our way to get our land back that was always ours after gentrification after the Harlem Renaissance and Black Wall Street was burned to the ground. Them prayers are not working.”Β

The rapper argued that taking physical action is key to making things happen.

“We are going to have to apply actual physical building partnerships, and it don’t start unless we could really be real with each other,” the 46-year-old said.

“You know how many threats we’ve been dealt with. And I haven’t prayed my way through them threats either. I had to get up and do it myself. I had so much to do, I haven’t have time to pray.”Β

Later in the interview, West asserted that he is the god of himself.

Β ‘Cause I’m God,” he said, when asked about his success in the music industry and how he hasn’t “disappeared.” “And anyone who wants to disagree, I’m the God of me. You can’t tell me who I am. I can’t tell y’all. I could tell y’all. It’s your job to listen. I’m the God of me. I don’t know if I’m in heaven already.”

In previous years, West attracted attention and made headlines for his apparent embrace of Christianity and his public conversion to the Christian faith. He released his album “Jesus is King” in 2019 and invested over $50 million in hosting “Sunday Service” events across the country, which he described as an attempt to spread the Gospel.

His recent comments in the interview sparked reactions from Christians online.

West faced criticism last month after referring to himself as “the new Jesus” in his album “Vultures 1,” released on Feb. 10. The album features a track titled “Carnival,” known for its explicit language and themes of sexual violence. This new album was a collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign.

Jesus receives praises from Arteta for outstanding performance in game against Forest

Mikel Arteta praised the performance of Gabriel Jesus after the Brazilian forward scored and provided an assist in Arsenal’s 2-1 victory over Nottingham Forest.

Jesus, 28, secured his fourth goal of the Premier League campaign by slotting the ball through the legs of his former teammate Matt Turner from a tight angle.

He then delivered a precise pass to set up Bukayo Saka for his second goal in three games, sealing the win for Arsenal. Although Taiwo Awoniyi scored a late goal for the hosts, it proved to be only a consolation.

Despite ongoing discussions in the January transfer window regarding Arsenal’s need for reinforcements upfront, Arteta expressed his satisfaction with the performance of his No. 9, Gabriel Jesus, at the City Ground.

He said: “We really need him [Jesus] at his best. I had a great feeling before the game and I told him.

“He had some fluid in the knee and he was struggling. He was kicking every physio out there two days ago saying, ‘I want to be on that pitch’.

“He pushed everybody to be there and when someone has that attitude, that desire in this moment, something good is going to happen because of the ability and the quality to do it.

“He was magnificent today, I think.”

Mikel Arteta downplayed a heated full-time discussion between defenders Oleksandr Zinchenko and Ben White after Arsenal’s 2-1 victory against Nottingham Forest.

The two players were seen exchanging words, particularly in response to Forest’s late goal, but Arteta expressed that the incident was not a cause for concern as the team secured the win. The manager seemingly sought to minimize any potential impact of the on-field disagreement, emphasizing the overall positive outcome of the match for Arsenal.

Arteta added: “That’s pushing each other and being not happy, conceding nothing. And I have to encourage that and promote it in the right way, in a respectful way.

“Sometimes after the game, it’s too emotional and too heated, but I love that the players are pushing each other and demanding excellence.

“Today we conceded a goal that is not at the level that we want.

“Now we’re going to have a massive game against Liverpool at the top of the table. And we’re going to have to be even better than today, for sure.”

  • 1,500-year-old Bible chapter resurfaces

    1,500-year-old Bible chapter resurfaces

After 1,500 years, a lost Bible chapter has finally been discovered.

The Secret poems chapter was discovered in a third-century manuscript at the Vatican Library.

It includes a new translation of Matthew‘s Gospel chapters 11 through 12.

Only after employing ultraviolet photography inside Matthew’s Gospel were researchers able to find the ancient Syriac text.

When Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath, his followers became hungry and started to gather the grain’s heads to eat, according to Matthew, a disciple of Jesus.

The newly found version, however, reads as follows: “At that time, Jesus proceeded through the grainfields on the Sabbath, and his disciples became hungry and began to ask him for food.

But the newly discovered translation reads: β€˜At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath and his disciples became hungry and began to pick the heads of grain, rub them in their hands, and eat them.’

A scribe apparently erased the chapter whilst it was being written.

Only one segment of the recovered text has been released to the public so far.

Grigory Kessel, who made the discovery, told DailyMail.com: β€˜The Gospel text found in this reused manuscript contains the so-called Old Syriac translations of the Gospels.Β

β€˜This Old Syriac translation quite often attests the Gospel text that is different from the standard Gospel text as we know it today.’

The Gospel of Matthew forms the core of the 27 books of the New Testament.

Matthew’s section begins describing the birth of Jesus and also includes early correspondence between Church leaders and Christians.

  • Hysterics as 3D Model of ‘First Human created by God’ Actually Vin Diesel

Vin Diesel has become the latest star to be teased in the viral meme trend that sees Twitter users post 3D-rendered versions of famous celebrities to comedic effect.

The Fast and Furious actor’s name began trending on Twitter after the Alamo Drafthouse New York City account tweeted out a computer animated image of a man bearing a distinct resemblance to Vin Diesel alongside a spoof claim regarding its origins.

“Scientists at Princeton University have reconstructed this 3D model of how Adam, the first human being created by God, might have looked,” they wrote alongside the picture.

The gag soon went viral, with the original tweet garnering over 11,500 retweets, 19,500 quote tweets and 128,700 likes. The Vin Diesel wisecracks, meanwhile, flew thick and fast.

“Was his name Vin Diesel?” Tisaiyan asked, while Mfanelo couldn’t resist a reference to Dom Toretto’s favorite catchphrase from the Fast and Furious movies, writing: “And God said unto him; let there be FAMILY.”

He wasn’t alone in that respect. Dr_Alexe dubbed the image: “The first family man,” with amee_ehelamal adding: “Bro didn’t lie when he said ‘family is everything.’ Bro started family.”

Others couldn’t resist coming up with their own spoof 3D reconstructions. One had a suggestion for Eve:

Another claimed to have found a reconstruction of Moses:

There was even a 3D rendering of Jesus:

But while plenty of people appeared to be in on the joke, a few seemed slightly confused and even a little bit angry.

2_Plate_Biriyani said: “Rubbish, Adam was said to be of dark complexion. His complexion is said to be similar to the people of Sudan.” Sharaadkuttan, meanwhile, rejected the basic premise commenting: “First human created by God”? There isn’t anything remotely scientific about this phrase.”

Alamo Drafthouse NYC tried to stress the entire thing was a joke, commenting under the tweet: “Just a reminder that we’re a movie theater, not an academic journal.”

Despite this, it seemed some were evidently unaware that the Vin Diesel tweet was part of an ongoing running joke online that has seen a variety of big names given the 3D-rendering treatment.

Earlier this week, a tweet from ColossusNick claimed: “Scientists at Stanford University have reconstructed this 3D model of how Joseph, the husband of Mary the Mother of Jesus Christ might have looked.”

The accompanying image was a bust of wrestling icon and The Princess Bride star AndrΓ© RenΓ© Roussimoff, a.k.a .Andre the Giant.

Another viral tweet saw singer and actress Lady Gaga get the meme treatment with brotaminz posting a doctored image of the star alongside the claim: “Scientists at Stanford University have reconstructed this 3D model of how Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ might have looked.”

While the exact origins of the meme trend are unclear, they appear to be an attempt at lampooning the 3D renderings of ancient species created by institutions like the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History and celebrity culture.

Newsweek has contacted the Alamo Drafthouse for comment.
