LilWin sparks outrage with hospital bed recording after tragic accident

A video of popular Ghanaian actor and musician LilWin recording a song from his hospital bed with rapper Kwaku Flick has ignited heated discussions online.

The video, which has gone viral, shows the two artists collaborating on a track that appears to address the backlash following LilWin’s recent car accident.

The accident resulted in the death of a three-year-old boy and LilWin’s own hospitalization.

Announcing the new track on Instagram, LilWin expressed gratitude and reflected on the incident: “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. On May 25, 2024, I was in a terrible accident with my manager @ray_moni, resulting in the loss of a young life. Rest in perfect peace, Nana Yaw.”

He continued, “I pray that the good Lord grants your parents another child to fulfill your destiny. To all my fans, thank you for your prayers. Special thanks to @kwekuflick @kingpalutamusic & @apyagh for this project.”

The announcement has sparked outrage among some netizens who accuse LilWin of insensitivity toward the deceased child’s family.

Critics argue that his attendance at a movie premiere shortly after the accident was more about garnering sympathy than addressing the tragedy’s impact.

LilWin is currently embroiled in legal proceedings related to the accident, with his case under review by the Attorney General’s office.

After being detained initially at Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, he was later granted bail and transferred to a police station.

  • I was referring to Martha Ankonam not Martha Ankomah – Lilwin

I was referring to Martha Ankonam not Martha Ankomah – Lilwin

Kumawood actor Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin has reportedly denied attacking actress Martha Ankomah, he claims he was speaking about an upcoming actress from Kumawood known as Martha Ankonam.

Social media user Shadrack Amanoo Crabbe, popularly known on Twitter, made the claim in a post.

He wrote: “They say Kojo Nkansah Lilwin said he was referring to a Kumasi upcoming actress named Martha Ankonasm, not Martha Ankomah…sorrrrmi ya!” he wrote.

This comes after the actress dragged Lilwin to court for defaming her in a video in which he lamented her refusal to act in Kumawood movies.

Lilwin has reacted to the suit and said he’s not afraid, claiming ‘any idiot can go to court’.

Meanwhile, social media users reacted to the new claim that he’s not speaking about Martha Ankomah.

“He should provide that girl and let’s see if she’s also a brand ambassador for GTP. Ofui,” one netizen said.

Another wrote: “Is that person a GTP ambassador?? Just asking for a friend 😂”

However, other netizens said the post is tongue-in-cheek and that Lilwin never said anything to that effect!

  • Politics is not concert, invest in something worth spending on – Ola Micheal to Lilwin

Politics is not concert, invest in something worth spending on – Ola Micheal to Lilwin

Independent filmmaker, events producer, and on-air personality Michael Kwaku Ola has shared his counsel with Kumawood actor and comedian Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lilwin, regarding his entry into politics.

Ola Michael stressed the significance of engaging in politics, highlighting that it demands a level of seriousness and commitment that contrasts with the more laid-back nature of a concert.

He advised Lilwin to reconsider his decision to venture into politics and instead concentrate on nurturing his creative career.

During his appearance on UTV’s Showbiz Night, Ola Michael voiced concerns about the advice Lilwin is receiving from those close to him. He suggested that the encouragement to pursue a political path could potentially have adverse outcomes in the long run.

Ola Michael proposed that Lilwin would be better off channelling his resources into his existing ventures or other worthy pursuits rather than diverting them into the realm of politics.

“The truth might be uncomfortable, but being a member of parliament is a serious undertaking, not a mere concert. I believe it’s too early for him to be contemplating politics. He should concentrate on managing his school and nurturing his creative talents,” Ola Michael commented.

He further advised against Lilwin’s potential venture into politics and recommended that the actor take to heart the guidance provided by individuals such as former President Mahama, who cautioned against pursuing a political path.

“Even former President Mahama advised him not to go into politics; he should pay heed to that advice. I think he should not try venturing into politics; he should throw his resources into something worth spending on”.

  • Oboy Siki accuses LilWin of being arrogant

Oboy Siki accuses LilWin of being arrogant

Actor Oboy Siki has made a clear and unambiguous statement, asserting that his colleague Kwadwo Nkansah LilWin is arrogant.

This remark came in response to a video featuring actor Kwaku Manu offering advice to the public, emphasizing the significance of humility and citing some respected Ghanaian businessmen as role models of down-to-earth individuals.

While Kwaku Manu refrained from naming names in the video, Oboy Siki implied that the advice was directed at LilWin, indicating his belief that LilWin could benefit from adopting a more humble attitude.

“He should have mentioned Kwadwo’s name while giving this advice,” said Oboy Siki in the video shared by GhPage.

This led to a discussion on the show, with one of the hosts questioning whether LilWin is genuinely arrogant.

“But Kwadwo is not really arrogant; or?” said the co-host.

Oboy Siki retorted, insisting that LilWin’s arrogance was what Kwaku Manu had addressed in his advice.

“Kwadwo Nkansah is not arrogant?” Oboy Siki asked. “It’s his arrogance Kwaku Manu is talking about. Do you know how arrogant he (LilWin) is? Everyone should tag Kwadwo and tell him Kwaku Manu has shared a piece of advice and it’s meant for him.”

The cause of Kwaku Manu’s video remains unclear, and GhanaWeb cannot confirm whether LilWin was the intended target. However, there have been speculations of friction between LilWin and Kwaku Manu, adding weight to Oboy Siki’s statement.

Ghanaian actor and musician Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin has rubbished claims that Ghanaian artistes have filled stadiums in the past.

He stated authoritatively that he has equally played stadium shows in the past and he is certain of what he is saying.

He added that what some artiste refer to as filling stadiums is usually half or quarter of the stadium.

Citing Maccasio and Fancy Gadam’s shows in the north and some other shows in Accra and Kumasi sports stadiums, Lilwin stressed that it is an outright lie those shows had full stadium capacity.

  • Lilwin finally speaks about why he divorced his ex-wife

Award-winning Ghanaian actor, Kwadwo Nkansah LilWin, has been heavily bashed by a section of social media users following recent reports that he has married another woman.

Most of the netizens who decided to verbally attack LilWin could not understand why the actor cum musician would leave the woman he reportedly struggled with when he had nothing for another lady after he became rich and prominent.

Well, after a long period of silence, LilWin has finally spoken and addressed these issues.

In a chat with award-winning blogger/vlogger, Zionfelix, he stated that marriage is not a ‘do or die’ affair, stressing any of the partners can leave at any point in time when he/she feels the marriage is not working anymore.

Lilwin also used the analogy of a ‘road journey’ to explain why his marriage with his ex-wife, Patricia Afriyie could not last forever.

According to him, a lot of the time when a car sets out for a journey, it is not every time it will get to its destination which is similar to most marriages.

“It’s not by force to stay in marriage till the end. Just as you impregnated two women at the same time, it’s not your wish but things happen. You can’t force it, it’s a journey.

“For instance, it’s not all cars that travel from Accra to Kumasi that arrive safely. Some either get burnt, collide and are damaged on the way. That’s how life is. You start with someone and the person gives up at a point. You cannot force that person to continue. A lot of wealthier men have even left their wives,” he stated.
