Stop ranting cuz of bits and pieces, be smarter than that – Efia Odo hits back at Kwesi Arthur

Ghanaian socialite Efia Odo has responded on X to Kwesi Arthur, who had expressed his frustration on the platform regarding her remarks about their friendship made during a podcast.

In a series of tweet on X on August 9, the rapper fumed over Efia Odo’s recent comment about their past friendship in a podcast accusing her of “ruining his reputation.”

The rapper added that his next step will be to pursue legal action on the matter.

“I’ve been silent for too long. It’s disheartening to see so many people oblivious to someone constantly using my name for clout, a story line and attention with allegations and scenarios.

“You retweet things about me, tweet about me and mention my name and past scenarios in every interview when you know I don’t fw you and haven’t spoken to you in years. Wtf,” he tweeted.

Few hours later, Efia Odo tweeted seemingly responding to Kwesi Arthur and said “You no watch the thing but ranting cuz of bits and pieces you saw on social media. You gotta be smarter than that. God has saved me cuz if not!!!!!! Peace be unto you.”

She advised Kwesi Arthur to watch the entire podcast to fully understand the context and avoid reacting to the short clips being shared on social media.

“Dumbass ain’t even watch the show now you’re looking goofy exposing yourself. Feeling guilty much?,” she added.

During the ‘Rants, Bants and Confessions’ podcast on August 7, Efia said: “Yes, I was once supporting him but you know Kwesi did some hurtful things to me. I don’t want to say it here because I respect him as a person. If I was to say the things he did to me, it would really dirty his image. When everything ended, I stopped the support because why will I keep supporting someone who has f*cked me over?”

She continued: “it’s so funny that when he and I stopped being friends, and he left his label, Ground Up, that’s when his career dwindled and they gave me this tag as a bad luck.”

The comment prompted Kwesi Arthur to vent on X, where he threatened to pursue legal action moving forward.

  • I’ve not spoken to Efia Odo in years – Kwesi Arthur

Ghanaian rapper Kwesi Arthur has set the record straight on his relationship with socialite and singer Efia Odo, revealing that he hasn’t spoken to her in years.

This disclosure comes after ongoing speculation about their relationship, which Efia Odo has often hinted at in interviews.

In a candid post on X (formerly Twitter), Kwesi Arthur expressed his frustration over Efia Odo’s repeated mentions of him, accusing her of using his name for clout.

He stated, “You retweet things about me, tweet about me, and mention my name and past scenarios in every interview when you know I don’t f*** with you and haven’t spoken to you in years. Wtf.”

Efia Odo, who once showed strong support for Kwesi Arthur, has in recent years shifted her tone, speaking with disdain about the rapper in public.

She has also claimed that Kwesi Arthur hurt her deeply, leading to the breakdown of their friendship. However, Kwesi Arthur has now made it clear that they are no longer in contact.

The rapper also expressed disappointment with his industry colleagues who continue to associate with Efia Odo despite her attempts to tarnish his reputation.

He warned young male artistes to be cautious of women who might exploit their hard-earned success for social media attention.

Kwesi Arthur’s revelation sheds light on the strained relationship between him and Efia Odo, putting an end to rumors about their ongoing connection.

Kwesi Arthur ‘disses’ colleague artistes rolling with Efia Odo

Ghanaian rapper Kwesi Arthur has taken a bold stand against his fellow artistes who continue to associate with socialite and singer Efia Odo, despite the ongoing controversies involving her and the rapper.

In a fiery post on X (formerly Twitter), Kwesi Arthur expressed his displeasure, accusing some colleagues of turning a blind eye to the situation while continuing to support Efia Odo.

Efia Odo, who has often been linked to Kwesi Arthur, has shifted from praising the rapper to openly criticizing him. In a recent podcast, she revealed that Kwesi Arthur had hurt her deeply, leading to the end of their friendship.

This narrative, according to Kwesi Arthur, is an intentional move to tarnish his image and keep her name in the limelight.

Taking aim at those who continue to align themselves with Efia Odo, Kwesi Arthur didn’t hold back, saying, “To all you so-called artists and ‘colleagues’ who see what this girl keeps doing to ruin my reputation but still post up with her like it’s all good, f*** y’all.”

His message makes it clear that he feels betrayed by those in the industry who have chosen to stay silent or support Efia Odo despite her ongoing attempts to discredit him.

Kwesi Arthur also cautioned up-and-coming male artistes to be wary of women who might exploit their fame for social media clout, advising them not to let their guard down.

The rapper’s outburst highlights the growing tension between him and Efia Odo, as well as his frustration with colleagues who he believes are contributing to the situation by maintaining their ties with her.

Stay away from women who will use you for social media clout – Kwesi Arthur

Ghanaian rapper and singer Kwesi Arthur has issued a stern warning to fellow male artistes, advising them to be cautious about the women they associate with, particularly those who might use their fame for social media clout.

His message comes in the wake of ongoing controversies involving socialite and singer Efia Odo, with whom Kwesi Arthur has been frequently linked.

Kwesi Arthur, who has mostly remained silent about the situation, recently took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his frustration over how his name has been repeatedly dragged into the public eye by Efia Odo.

Despite the lack of confirmation of a romantic relationship between them, Efia Odo has often hinted at a close bond in the past. However, in recent years, her tone has shifted, and she has openly spoken with disdain about the rapper.

In a recent podcast appearance, Efia Odo revealed that Kwesi Arthur had hurt her deeply, leading to the end of their friendship. She claimed that after their fallout, she withdrew her support for him, and his career began to decline.

This narrative, Kwesi Arthur believes, is a deliberate attempt to tarnish his reputation.

Addressing his peers in the industry, Kwesi Arthur cautioned them against being naive, saying, “Young men coming up in the industry, or just in general, please don’t think with your d*** and disassociate yourself from any women who would use what you work so hard to build for yourself and family for social media clout.”

He also accused Efia Odo of using his name as a marketing tool for her projects, noting that he will no longer tolerate such behavior.

Kwesi Arthur has made it clear that any further comments or allegations against him will be handled legally, stating, “Anything else said about me will be discussed with my lawyer and handled in court.”

In his final remarks, Kwesi Arthur didn’t hold back, calling out those who have stayed silent or supported Efia Odo in her attempts to discredit him.

Kwesi Arthur threatens to sue Efia Odo for ‘defamation’

Ghanaian rapper and singer, Kwesi Arthur has decided to break his silence on X over the constant association with socialite and singer, Efia Odo, and he has expressed his displeasure.

Efia Odo, while never directly confirming a romantic relationship with Kwesi Arthur, had often hinted at a close and affectionate bond between them in the past.

However, in recent years, the narrative has shifted. Whenever Kwesi Arthur’s name came up in Efia Odo’s interviews, her tone turned sour, and she spoke of the rapper with clear disdain.

Once his biggest supporter, Efia Odo has since distanced herself, admitting that her admiration for the artist has completely faded.

In a candid conversation on the ‘Rants, Bants and Confessions’ podcast, she revealed that Kwesi Arthur had done things that deeply hurt her, ultimately leading to the breakdown of their friendship.

Expressing the extent of the pain he caused her, Efia Odo shared…“Yes, I was once supporting him but you know Kwesi did some hurtful things to me. I don’t want to say it here because I respect him as a person. If I was to say the things he did to me, it would really dirty his image. When everything ended, I stopped the support, because why will I keep supporting someone who has f*cked me over?”

She continued, “It’s so funny that when he and I stopped being friends, and he left his label, Ground Up, that’s when his career dwindled, and they gave me this tag as bad luck.”

These statements appeared to be the last trigger, as the rapper, in a series of rants on X, lambasted Efia Odo and threatened legal action against anyone who discusses or uses him for clout henceforth.

“I’ve been silent for too long. It’s disheartening to see so many people oblivious to someone constantly using my name for clout, a storyline and attention with allegations and scenarios. You retweet things about me, tweet about me and mention my name and past scenarios in every interview when you know I don’t fw you and haven’t spoken to you in years. Wtf.

“Not speaking again on this matter. Anything else said about me will be discussed with my lawyer and handled in court. Stop playing with me,” parts of his tweets read.

At a point, he directed the rants at his colleagues for condoning and enabling Efia Odo to constantly throw dirt on his name.

“Also, all of you artistes and so-called ‘colleagues’ that see what this girl keeps doing to me to ruin my reputation and still be posting up with her like it’s all good, fuck y’all,” he added.

She disclosed that their three-year relationship came to an abrupt end when Kwesi Arthur’s behavior towards her changed unexpectedly.

Until now, Efia Odo had consistently maintained that her connection with the rapper was strictly platonic, publicly denying any romantic ties in numerous interviews and on various platforms. Despite fans’ skepticism about her claims, she had previously affirmed her role as merely Kwesi Arthur’s biggest supporter.

I don’t have plans of pursuing a degree soon – Yaw Tog

Ghanaian rapper Yaw Tog, known for his Ghanaian Drill music genre called Asaka, has revealed that he currently has no intentions of pursuing a university education.

Born Thorsten Owusu Gyimah, the 20-year-old artist shared his unorthodox viewpoint in an interview with the media.

During the interview, the ‘Sore’ rapper expressed his belief that relying solely on university education would not guarantee him the necessary means to sustain himself in life.

“I am doing music, I am working at the moment, University won’t provide me with the means to sustain myself in life,” he shared.

Yaw Tog, the talented artist who collaborated with Stormzy and Kwesi Arthur on the ‘Sore Remix,’ elaborated on his reasoning by emphasizing the financial burden of tuition fees and the potential strain it would place on his family.

“I have strategized my life in a way that I will make money before pursuing a university education. If I enrol now, who will bear the burden of my tuition fees?” he queried.

Yaw Tog boldly disclosed that he planned his life in a way that he would prioritize building a financial foundation before pursuing higher education.

“I have really planned my life in a way that I know when I’ll go back to school so I’m saving for my University, he said.

While acknowledging the support he received from his parents, Yaw Tog recognized that his current circumstances did not allow him to depend on them for certain needs.

  • Kwesi Arthur bares his truth in emotionally charged new single ‘Pain Interlude’

Kwesi Arthur bares his truth in emotionally charged new single ‘Pain Interlude’

Singer, rapper and songwriter Kwesi Arthur draws deep from his past and present to share his emotional stress with the world in a new single ‘Pain Interlude’.

The song which comes after a few weeks of a collaboration with label mate, Kofi Mole, is more reflective.

The self-examining nature of the lyrics is not surprising as it is a characteristic of songs written by Kwesi Arthur.

The pain of betrayal, of lost friendship, of disbelieving by those who were supposed to see his dream and help him achieve it, is channeled into this artful song.

And in a time when loyalty is scarce, Kwesi shares his hurt about confidants who switched up on him.

Kwesi is open, blunt, honest and transparent about his internal battles with his relationships; relationships he thinks will never be the “same”.

But he chooses not to allow these experiences to wear him down. He pushes through the pain. And set aside the regrets as he sings:

I play with fire wey I get burned
Sadly, it’s the only way I fi learn
Still money man a fi earn

Kwesi pulls off one of his trademarks in ‘Pain Interlude.’ That is his effortless ability to motivate through his songs.

Underneath this smooth but earnest tune is the motivation to live without letting the past and other hurtful experiences bog us down.

Such positive vibes come in handy in these tough times.

‘Pain Interlude,’ a hip-hop track, was produced by A SWXG.

Like the authenticity of pure love, the song grows on you with every listen.

He, however, said he was able to overturn this fate through fervent prayer.

Speaking in an interview on JoyPrime, he noted that: “I once had a dream. It was the new artiste of the year. It was myself, KiDi, Darko Vibes, King Promise, Kwesi Arthur, and Kurl Songx. It was a tight competition. Two days before the awards, I had a dream that I didn’t take the award. I woke up. I didn’t feel good at all. I have to pray against all the boys. I told my mom to assist me in praying. The boys don’t want me to win.”

“It wouldn’t have been bad if it went to King Promise or KiDi or some of my brothers, but at the end of the day, this was New Artiste of the Year. I wanted to be remembered for that in our year; I mean, I have to tell my kids that I beat KiDi and King Promise. I have to be able to tell my kids that. That was what I was thinking, and in my dream, someone is taking it away. I think it was King Promise. I wasn’t happy, at least it should be a taller person,” he told Doreen Avio on Joy Prime.

In 2019, Kwami Eugene received 7 nominations at the Ghana Music Awards and proceeded to win the awards for Album of the Year, Producer of the Year, and Highlife Artist of the Year. Dhat Gyal comes through with ‘You & I’

The ‘Any man na man’ Hitmaker; Dhat Gyal has released the most awaited banger, “YOU & I”. This was released last December to successfully climax last year.

‘You & I” will be used as a pushing voice towards the fight against the gender-based violence people encounter in their daily lives yet cannot come out in the open to voice out their woes. It is a song dedicated to anyone out there who is going through an abusive relationship and feels unappreciated at any point, physically, verbally, and/or emotionally abused, and deserves better than being a victim.

Produced by Tymadedis and written by Dhat Gyal respectively, the new single is mixed and mastered by Nytwulf of the Don’t keep me waiting hit song by Kwesi Arthur.

Dhat Gyal recounts what growing up in Dome, a suburb of Accra was like. She saw on countless occasions how women especially, were abused in their relationships and led to their early graves with little or no accountability demanded from the abuser.

She also expressed her grief on how she had to just watch on when these women were treated badly since she is young and does not have the legal balls to stop the abusers.

“It hurts me to see people go through such situations and I couldn’t do anything about their situation or help them get out of such abusive relationship”

As a young rising star in the industry, Dhat Gyal believes she has to take up the mantle and use her own unique way of fighting against abuse.

“So as a young girl with no strength to defend these women, who are being abused physically or emotionally, I took it upon myself to educate young girls like myself to be mindful of whoever they get into a relationship with since I don’t have other platforms to create this awareness”

“I have decided to educate all women out there; especially the young girls out there through my song. With this, I hope and I’m sure they will also listen to the lyrics and learn from it as they are also enjoying the sound”.

Dhat Gyal got the attention of Ghanaians with her lovely voice when she released her first mashup song in 2017 which she combined Samini’s (my own) and the late Ebony’s (sponsor). She is known as the Queen of mashups.

She collaborated with numerous foreign artists, including Ras Amankwataia from Ghana and Buil Cole from Liberia. Faya Bantu King is a Zimbabwean artist who is based in the UK and was among those she collaborated with.

She worked with producers like Dj Breezy, Tymadedis, Trino, Tom Beat, P Kay Beatz, Cash Two, Popping Beat, Eben Beatz, 1kwame Beatz, and Nytwulf.

She was nominated for the 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (Unsung Category), 2019 Ghana Music Awards UK, and 2019 Ghana Music Awards South Africa in 2018. She was signed to Zylofon Music Art Fund Board in 2018.

The “Grind Day” hitmaker in an interview on e.tv Ghana’s eRequest with host, Abigail Appiah, stated that he wanted to enroll in the University of Ghana but could not access his WASSCE results on account of the arrears he owed to the earlier mentioned secondary school.

“I wanted to register for the University of Ghana when I completed in 2012; I could not get into the university because my school fees were not paid so my results were blocked” he elaborated.

He later mentioned that in 2014, a friend of his got access to his results for him and remains clueless of how his friend did it even till this day.

  • Animal: Kwesi Arthur blasts corruption in new single

Kwesi Arthur, a Ghanaian award-winning rapper, has just released visuals for his latest single ‘Animal.’ The street anthem, which features fellow Ghanaian singer Dayonthetrack, uses its lyrics to warn leaders whose actions limit the hopes of the society’s young generation.

Although the song is danceable, the music video depicts a group of seemingly upset young men grabbing a corrupt prime minister in the first scene. In the 3:18 video, both Ghanaian stars appear to be leading a vigilante movement.

Directed by David Duncan, the corrupt leader is accosted with loads of cash in his trunk as viewers are led from a shanty residence to a plush settlement where the politician is waylaid, showing the frustration of the growing population in the slums of GHANA.

The BET nominated 27 year old star uses his song ‘animal’ to show the condition of young people and perhaps a warning to what could happen if the needs of the youths are continually neglected. Recall that several Ghanaian stars have in the past months spoken up about the harsh standard of living within the country, with many like Actress Yvonne Nelson even calling out the president H.E Nana Akufo Addo.

  • Kwesi Arthur and Dayonthetrack capture in new ‘Animal’ music video

Animal’s video combines vivid storytelling, music and dance to warn leaders whose actions cage the dreams of the young.

The song by Kwesi Arthur and Dayonthetrack is soothing, danceable and loaded. The message the artistes convey in the song stands out in
    the track’s riveting music video.

Unlike the soft tunes of the song, armed men grab a corrupt Prime Minister in the first scene of the video. This sets an interesting pace for
the video and promises lots of suspense.

As the captain of the rebels, Dayonthetrack leads the armed men to steal loads of cash in the trunk of the Prime Minister’s car. The politician
was then sent to Kwesi Arthur, who is seen as the leader of the rebels.

After the capture, the rebels danced while holding arms to show the joy of securing the bag.

The movement of the rebels from a shanty residence to a plush settlement where the politician was waylaid show the frustration of the
    growing populations in slums.

The cinematography blends the setting, lighting, movements and energy of the characters to perfectly depict the message of the song.

Director David Duncan uses rapid editing techniques to increase the pace of the video while moving back and forth from the storytelling to the
euphoric armed men. The shots in the video shows the length these armed men are willing to go to set themselves free.

The music sends a calm but fierce warning about what could happen if the problems of young people in the country are continually neglected.
Overall, ‘Animal’ is a very important piece that speaks to the condition of young people who yearn to live their dreams but are prevented from
doing so because of the constraints the society put on them.

Social media is still buzzing after a lady dropped leaked chats of Tema-based rapper Kwesi Arthur where he is alleged to have banged numerous ladies with his celebrity status under the pretense of they being in a relationship.

Well, it has also emerged that slay queen and actress Efia Odo after denying that she was in a relationship with the rapper has actually been sleeping with him and its a known fact in Tema.

In a series of chat shared by the lady who goes by the username Crazy Virgin, several people who we believe are based in Tema and closer to the Ground-up team have stated that Efia Odo has been pregnant for the rapper twice.

According to some of the chats, Kwesi Arthur made her abort the pregnancies by just giving her flimsy excuses which she also believed so they could just be together.

One user explained that whiles Efia Odo thinks she is the official girlfriend of Kwesi Arthur and they have been dating for years now though they want to hide it, she is actually one of the girls Kwesi sleeps with and that was how she became friends with Quamina MP.

Another one also explained that very soon Kwesi Arthur would pass her on to Quamina MP so he can also enjoy her for free.
