    “We won a tournament that is important for the club and for what is coming next year,” he said.

    Inter Miami will play two games while on a tour of China in November before Messi and Argentina are back in action. Argentina hosts Uruguay on Nov. 16 and plays Brazil five days later.

    “After that, I will enjoy the holidays in Argentina,” Messi said.

    “It’s the first time that I am going to have more days off in December, with the holidays, with peace of mind, with my people. In January, I will return again to do preseason. Start from scratch and prepare as best as possible, as always.”

    Messi has played in only two of the team’s past seven MLS games because of a hamstring injury, but he did manage 35 minutes off the bench in the loss to Cincinnati and played 37 minutes for Argentina in its 1-0 FIFA World Cup qualifying win over Paraguay on Friday.

    After expressing reservations about the club’s decision to acquire the Argentine superstar, Marsman had his contract terminated by Inter Miami in the weeks that followed.

    Luis Suarez is prepared to buy out his Gremio contract in order to reunite with Lionel Messi at Inter Miami this season.

    Suarez, who joined Gremio earlier in 2023 on a two-year deal, seems determined to play alongside his close friend and former Barcelona team-mate Lionel Messi again at Inter Miami.

    According to ESPN Brasil, the Brazilian club are aware of the striker’s desire to leave the club and could sanction the move as the club does not want to continue with a player who is reluctant to stay.

    In order to negotiate a settlement with his current club, the veteran Uruguayan striker is willing to repay all the wages he has received in 2023 thus far along with some additional payments. 

    Inter Miami have already made room for Suarez at the club, while Gremio coach Renato Gaucho has admitted Suarez has become “a problem” for Gremio because he wants to move.

     Inter Miami will be next seen in action against Atlanta United in a Leagues Cup clash on Tuesday.

    A viral video posted on Twitter by FCB Albiceleste captured the moment when these superstars recorded Messi’s stunning winning goal. They embraced each other, screaming with joy at the Argentine international’s brilliance.

    In his debut match with Inter Miami, Messi delivered a remarkable 94th-minute strike, securing a late lead and the eventual victory for his team. The World Cup winner displayed his exceptional skills by curling a free-kick over the wall and past the goalkeeper into the opponent’s net, prompting an exuberant celebration.

    The match against Liga MX side Cruz Azul concluded with Inter Miami emerging victorious with a scoreline of 2-1. The game took place at the DRV PNK Stadium.

    With Andre Iniesta being tipped to join former Barcelona team-mate Lionel Messi at Inter Miami, boss Tata Martino shared a transfer update.

    The 2010 World Cup winner remains a free agent after ending his spell with Vissel Kobe in Japan. Despite being 39, he is being linked with a move to Inter Miami on a two-year contract.

    Martino previously worked with Iniesta for a year at Barcelona when he was in charge of the Spanish side in the 2013-14 season.

    When the Herons’ coach was quizzed about the probability of the move, Martino chose to keep his cards close to his chest.

     “Iniesta is one of the best players and best people I have ever coached. Nothing more to say,” he told reporters.

    Inter Miami are assembling a star-studded squad this season with seven-time Ballon d’Or winner Messi the pick of those deals. 

    They have also added Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba to the ranks and are now vying for the services of Luis Suarez, who is currently in Brazil with Gremio, but has seen a switch to the United States speculated on. 

    If Iniesta indeed makes the move to Florida then he would be counted as the third ‘franchise’ star at DRV PNK Stadium along with Messi and Busquets.

    Inter Miami are currently at the bottom of the MLS Eastern Conference and are without a win in 11 matches.

    They will hope that these marquee additions can turn around their fortunes.

    However, their next fixture is against Cruz Azul in the Leagues Cup where Messi and Busquets are expected to make their debuts.
