Husband files for divorce after wife’s controversial photo with Chris Brown surfaces

A 42-year-old man from Lusaka is seeking a divorce after his wife posed for a controversial photo with American R&B star Chris Brown.

The incident happened during a “meet and greet” session after Brown’s concert at the FNB Stadium in South Africa. In the photo, the 34-year-old woman is seen with Chris Brown kissing her cheek.

In his court documents, the husband claims the photo, which quickly spread on social media, disrespected him and damaged their marriage beyond repair.

He described the picture as “demeaning” and said his wife’s actions were inappropriate for someone in a committed relationship. He also stated that her decision to take the photo broke his trust and their marriage vows.

In his divorce petition, the husband expressed his feelings of embarrassment and emotional distress, stating, “My wife acted in a manner unbecoming of a married woman. This picture has humiliated me publicly.”

The husband said that when he confronted his wife about the photo, she brushed off his concerns and defended it as a harmless moment from the event.

The wife, on the other hand, insists that the kiss was innocent and misunderstood. She explained that it was just a playful interaction during a fan meet-and-greet and had no intention of disrespecting her husband.

She also suggested that her husband’s reaction is an overreaction and believes it reflects deeper problems in their marriage.

    5. Zambia to give 20,000 hectares of land to Kenyan farmers to grow maize – Report

Zambia to give 20,000 hectares of land to Kenyan farmers to grow maize – Report

Zambia and Kenya have conditionally agreed on a deal under which the Lusaka government will give Kenyan commercial farmers land to produce maize.

A local media report has it that,a memorandum of understanding (MOU) permitting Kenyan farmers to grow maize in Zambia will be signed.

“I am happy the Zambian government has agreed to offer Kenyan farmers land for large-scale farming in Zambia. Kenyan farmers will in turn be required to export their yields back to Kenya in order to boost our food supply and security,” Linturi is quoted as saying.

He stated that the agreement was reached during a meeting he had on Monday in Lusaka with his Zambian counterpart, Reuben Mtolo, although he did not provide a date for its signing.

According to Linturi, the proposed MOU is anticipated to lower the price of maize and its products in both countries.

“Based on the projections he shared with us, the farmers will be able to achieve the objective of bringing down the cost of unga (maize meal) because, clearly, they got it right and there is something to learn from them.”

He said officials from the two countries would work out the price at which Zambia would sell the maize to Kenya, which “of course, (would be) a much lower price than we are currently getting from the traders.”

Farmers in Zambia would gain from the agreement as well because Kenya would receive short-term access to Zambia’s surplus maize.

Following a recent shortfall of maize meal in Kenya, which Linturi attributed to farmers stockpiling in anticipation of higher producer prices, an agreement with Zambia is now being negotiated.

She was treated at a local clinic and continued on to her scheduled meetings with local officials.

The ambassador said in a statement that though it is the kind of incident that can happen anywhere in the country, “Zambia is very safe and peaceful “and “very friendly to Israel”.

Zambian Foreign Minister Stanley Kakubo called Ms Farhi to reassure her of security.

Israel’s Foreign Minister Eli Cohen termed the incident as an example of the kind of dangers that diplomatic staff face “to serve the country”.

    7. 18-year-old girl arrested for wearing tempting miniskirt in public

18-year-old girl arrested for wearing tempting miniskirt in public

An 18-year-old girl and her 32-year-old aunt were arrested in Lusaka, Zambia on Monday for the girl’s choice of clothing.

The girl, who recently graduated with high marks, was arrested for wearing a miniskirt that allegedly caused several male police officers to become distracted and nearly led to a traffic accident.

The aunt was arrested for not advising her niece to dress more modestly.

The case was set to go to trial on Wednesday, but a state prosecutor informed the court that the prosecution had received instructions from the Director of Public Prosecutions to discontinue the matter.

Former Non-governmental Gender Organisations’ Coordinating Council (NGOCC) chairperson Sara Longwe spoke out in support of the two women, stating that Zambians are protected by the Constitution to wear whatever they choose.

“There was no case to start with. Because there is no dress code in Zambia. We have freedom of expression, we are Constitutionally protected. Everybody can wear anything. Miniskirt is not indecent,” she said.
