Saying you are single at O2 seems like an insult to Fella. – Mr Logic on Medikal’s announcement

Entertainment critic and former artiste manager of dancehall artiste Shatta Wale, Emmanuel Barnes, widely known in the industry as Mr.Logic, appears dissatisfied with rapper Medikal’s announcement that he was single during his concert at O2 Arena.

Though Medikal confirmed that his union with Fella Makafui has ended, it is yet to be confirmed by his wife.

Mr Logic believes Medikal’s public announcement at such a huge event of his being single was ridicule and disrespect to his wife, who is back home here in Ghana.

“That’s the only bit I wasn’t comfortable with. Sister Derby is Medikal’s ex and she used the opportunity to grind Medikal to hurt Fella, who is in the house.

He said he was single, and I wish he wouldn’t have said that because that to me felt like an insult to Fella. More like a bit of a tease to his ex-wife.

I don’t know if they have indeed divorced we don’t know the head and tail of it but where he stood to announce this is serious and it appears they have indeed broken up. I wish he wouldn’t have said that,” he opined during an appearance on United Showbiz on UTV on Saturday, May 4.

On his part, broken marriages stand the chance of being repaired even after decades of separation; hence, Medikal shouldn’t have made that announcement when he had the whole world watching him.

“With marriage, anything can happen. You can break up and come back together after a decade so I wish he wouldn’t have said that ” he added.

Medikal’s recent show at the O2 Arena was a significant success! The event took place on May 3, 2024, at the Indigo at The O2 venue in London.

Medikal, renowned for his rapid-fire rap style and dynamic stage persona, electrified London with his vibrant blend of Ghanaian rap and hip-hop music.

The event showcased not only Medikal’s talent but also stellar performances from other Ghanaian luminaries. Adding to the excitement, the audience was treated to surprise appearances by notable figures like Black Stars footballer Mohammed Kudus.

A standout moment of the night was Medikal’s collaboration with TV presenter Sister Derby, as they took the stage together to perform their chart-topping hit “Too Risky.”

Their joint performance was a highlight of the evening, captivating the audience with their infectious energy and undeniable chemistry.

My daily expenses amounts to not less than GHS8,000 everyday – Mr Logic

Ghanaian entertainment pundit Emmanuel Barnes, also known as Mr. Logic, revealed that he typically spends around GH¢8,000 every day.

The artiste manager and songwriter explained that his daily expenses align with his responsibilities as a businessperson and an engaged participant in the entertainment industry.

“Honestly, my daily expenditure is serious, in a day I can spend… it may be small for someone but at my level I spend at least GH¢8,000,” he told Zion Felix in an interview.

In addition to other everyday costs, he claims to spend roughly one thousand cedis every day on fuel.

Concurrently, Mr. Logic—a self-confessed New Patriotic Party member—described the belief that the government is to blame for the high cost of gasoline as an ignorant act.

“Now those who are complaining, all these people are illiterate people. People who don’t read and research. They are illiterate. If Europe is buying one gallon for €11. The only difference between Europe and Ghana is they have a double shift system. Where you can do about two or three jobs. And we have single-spine. That’s our biggest problem. That’s why I don’t understand why the government cannot see that single-spine does not help Africa,” he said during an interview on Hitz FM in 2022.

  • Jobless liar! Shatta Wale hits back at Mr Logic over claims of threesome with Moesha Budong

Jobless liar! Shatta Wale hits back at Mr Logic over claims of threesome with Moesha Budong

Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has responded to artiste manager and pundit Mr Logic in their ongoing exchange.

Shatta Wale, in a Facebook live video on January 3, returned to criticise Mr Logic for the accusations made in a previous video. Displaying a significant amount of cash, Shatta Wale accused Mr Logic of being a liar.

He refuted allegations of engaging in a threesome with Moesha Budong, stating that she was just a friend to him.

“Mr Logic is a liar, all he said in the live videos are all lies. He said that I had engaged in a threesome with Moesha Budong, That was a lie, Moesha is just my friend. I have friends like Hajia 4 Real, Moesha Budong and Efia Odo. You can’t destroy my career.

“You guys said you will haunt me. I would rather haunt you! All the things you come out to say are all lies. Everyone in the media knows how Mr Logic is. Do you want to play with Shatta Wale? You said your elders are advising you to calm down, at age 48 you have elders? Refer to them as your mobile money senders.

He urged his fans to refrain from following and paying attention to such entertainment pundits, emphasising that they contribute nothing substantial to the entertainment industry.

“You people should stop listening to stupid boys and girls on these radio stations! They are poor and jobless,” Shatta Wale fired.

The controversy began when Shatta Wale, in a Facebook post on December 29, listed eight individuals he believed were obstructing the growth of the music industry. The individuals mentioned were Akwasi Aboagye, Andy Dosty, Arnold, Ola, Mr Logic, Bullgod, Sally, and Abeiku Santana.

In response to Shatta Wale’s post, Bullgod declared his intention to haunt Shatta Wale like a ghost in a social media post. Shatta Wale, angered by this reaction, lambasted Bullgod and Mr Logic, accusing them of constantly begging for money and engaging in promiscuous activities.

Mr Logic, in his reply to Shatta Wale, denied the claims and asserted that he was the one who helped Shatta Wale when he was broke and homeless.

He further accused Shatta Wale of sending nude pictures to his ex-partner’s girlfriend, stealing the idea of “Dancehall King” from him, spreading false rumours about Jupita, engaging in a threesome with Moesha Budong, and mistreating his girlfriend, Shatta Michy. Mr Logic concluded by labelling Shatta Wale as a liar and a disgrace to the music industry.

This incident is not Shatta Wale’s first clash with media personalities. In September, he had a spat with industry pundit Ola Michael after the latter suggested that Shatta did not deserve a diplomatic passport due to his attitude.

Shatta Wale responded by hurling insults at Ola Michael and even composing a diss song aimed at him.

  • I was prepared to pay $10,000 for a feature with Sarkodie but he rejected me and the verses I sent him – Mr Logic

I was prepared to pay $10,000 for a feature with Sarkodie but he rejected me and the verses I sent him – Mr Logic

In the vibrant world of Ghanaian music, the topic of collaboration often leads to discussions about the renowned rapper, Sarkodie. His name often surfaces, not just for his musical prowess but for the dream-like challenge many artists face in securing a collaboration with him.

Mr. Logic, the Chief Executive Officer of Red Panther Music, shared his repeated yet unsuccessful attempts to feature Sarkodie in some of his compositions. Despite sending several verses to the rapper, Mr. Logic’s efforts were met with silence, echoing a familiar narrative among his peers.

This situation isn’t unique to Mr. Logic. Other notable Ghanaian artists, including Samini, Kwaw Kese, Edem, and even Nigerian singer Yemi Alade, have voiced similar experiences. These artists recount how their attempts to collaborate with Sarkodie remained unfulfilled, painting a picture of an almost unreachable dream when it comes to working with the celebrated rapper.

Mr. Logic, driven by his ambition, even considered the option of financial compensation to secure a feature with Sarkodie. Yet, despite his willingness to pay, his dream of a collaboration remained just that – a dream, elusive and unattained. This scenario underscores a wider sentiment among artists who admire Sarkodie’s talent but find collaboration with him an elusive goal.

He said the “U Go Kill Me” hitmaker requested the verses but he never got back to him.

In a discussion with Andy Dosty on Hitz 103. 9 FM shared on Twitter, he said: “I was ready to go the business way. I was ready to make an offer but Angel told me Sarkodie does not care about the money. I approached Angel and told him I was ready to pay for a feature from Sarkodie. I was ready to pay 10,000 dollars. I called DJ Mensah and informed him about my decision. DJ Mensah told me that the money won’t be enough but I should send him the song so he could forward it to Sarkodie. I did that and followed up on the song and till now, the song never came. The songs were very good”.

“It hurts. I am not an industry kid; I am an industry guru. I have been doing this work for twenty years both in Ghana and abroad. I am not a kid. I was here when Sarkodie came into the limelight. I know Sarkodie so I have every right to feel this way”, he added.

  • Blame Hammer for the death of hip-life – Mr Logic

Ghanaian artiste manager and Hitz FM pundit, Mr Logic, has voiced criticism against music producer Hammer, assigning him responsibility for the decline of the once-vibrant hip-life genre in Ghana since his departure from the industry.

During an appearance on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Mr Logic conveyed his dissatisfaction with the current state of hip-life and placed blame on Hammer for not preserving the genre’s legacy.

According to Mr Logic, Hammer’s departure has left an unaddressed void, contributing to the genre’s decline.

“Our problem is with leadership. It’s important that Okyeame Kwame acknowledge they didn’t do something right. I respect Hammer, but he left a generation down.

“If we are talking about why Hip Life doesn’t matter and they don’t have a category on the digital stores, popularise it, and they will find a way for it,” Mr Logic stated.

He pointed out that Hammer played a crucial role in shaping the careers of renowned artists such as Sarkodie, Kwaw Kese, Edem, Tinny, and TeePhlow.

Mr Logic commended Hammer for his adeptness in modernising hip-life, bringing in new trends in instrumentation and culture to the genre.

However, he expressed the belief that if Hammer had continued to play a pivotal role in hip-hop, numerous talents would have been nurtured and further enriched the genre.

“People lost the excitement for hip-life when Hammer and co resigned and said they were going to sell bread. You have instituted a movement and ignored to go and sell bread?” he fumed.

Mr Logic also drew attention to the impact of Hammer’s departure on the next generation of artistes who may have missed the opportunity to work with the influential producer.

“Hip Life got lost. He brought in a certain trend of instrumentation and a certain culture. Obrafour singing highlife and Sarkodie rapping hip-hop—that’s it. Hammer modernised hip-hop, and then one day he leaves. How about the next generation that wanted to work with him?” Mr Logic questioned.

Nonetheless, Mr Logic made a case for the potential growth and recognition of the genre on the international stage.

He added that, if Hammer had continued, genres like “Asakaa Drill” could have been categorised at prestigious awards like the Grammys.

You will hear from me very soon – Esther Smith promises Mr Logic, ‘starved’ fans after long absence

Gospel singer Esther Smith has acknowledged claims that she has been absent from music and her fans for an extended period.

She explained that her absence was due to “personal circumstances beyond her control” but assured fans that she will soon make a comeback.

This comes after Mr. Logic expressed disappointment at her for relocating to the United States and not releasing new music for her fans.

Mr. Logic, one of the panelists on the United Showbiz earlier said, “I am so disappointed in that woman. I am so disappointed in Esther Smith. I am so disappointed in Esther Smith. Whether it is marriage, a man, or whatever caused her to stop singing in the mainstream, I am telling her that some of us are disappointed. I am so disappointed to an extent; I wish I could say it to her face.

“There are some gospel singers, their songs and presence have changed the scene and she is one of them. Her songs were hits. The voice, composition, melody, and everything. This is a lady I don’t know why she disappeared.”

Esther Smith has responded to Mr. Logic’s statement on Twitter, providing an explanation for her absence.

“Mr. Logic, you are absolutely right! I agree with you and my fans about “starving” Ghanaians. However, due to personal circumstances that was beyond my control, I had to relocate away from Ghana. But God in His abundance mercies, has restored me. You and my fans will see me in person very, very soon. God bless you,” Esther Smith said.

In a widely circulated interview, Esther Smith revealed that she had to move from Ghana to Germany to find a suitable solution to her son’s serious heart condition. After receiving top-notch medical care, her son is now on the path to becoming a successful footballer.

“I relocated from Ghana because of my son’s heart condition. My son had a battery in his heart and when the battery went off, it meant his life was being cut short. But now, he is safe and plays football,” she stated.

The award-winning gospel singer emphasized that she has not retired from music. She mentioned that she is presently a chorister at the Church of England. Esther Smith is renowned for her popular songs such as “Nipa,” “Ma Won San,” “Onyame Boafo,” among others.

“Esther Smith has disappointed me, I wish I can say it to her face” – Mr. Logic

Emmanuel Barnes, commonly referred to as ‘Mr. Logic,‘ has conveyed deep disappointment towards gospel singer Esther Smith for relocating to the United States, thereby depriving her fans of new music.

The absence of the iconic gospel musician from the music scene has become a significant point of concern, especially given her previous pattern of consistently delivering hit songs.

This matter surfaced during a conversation on United Showbiz, and Mr. Logic openly expressed his disappointment.

“I am so disappointed in that woman. I am so disappointed in Esther Smith. I am so disappointed in Esther Smith. Whether it is marriage or a man, or whatever it is that caused her to stop singing in the mainstream, I am telling her that some of us are disappointed. I am so disappointed to an extent; I wish I can say it to her face.

“There are some gospel singers; their songs and presence have changed the scene and she is one of them. Her songs were hits. The voice, composition, melody and everything This is a lady; I don’t know why she disappeared,” he stated.

Earlier in a viral interview, Esther Smith disclosed that she had to relocate from Ghana to Germany to seek a proper solution to her son’s ailing heart condition.

She said after receiving the best medical care, her son is now a football player who is gradually making strides.

“I relocated from Ghana because of my son’s heart condition. My son had a battery in his heart and when the battery went out, it meant his life was being cut short. But now, he is safe and plays football,” she stated.

The award-winning gospel singer also argued that she hasn’t quit music, adding that she is currently a member of the Church of England Choir.

Some notable songs by Esther Smith are “Nipa,” “Ma Won San,” and “Onyame Boafo,” among others.

    Failed marriage

Esther Smith revealed that she endured domestic abuse throughout her four-year marriage to her former husband, Rev. Ahenkan Bonsu.

She made this revelation in response to the reported death of Nigerian singer Osinachi Nwachukwu, who allegedly succumbed to physical abuse in her marriage.

UTV attack: I found refuge under a table in the control room – Mr Logic

One of the panelists on UTV, Mr. Logic, has shared his experience during a disturbing incident when a group of thugs invaded the UTV studio, disrupting the show and causing chaos.

Recalling the terrifying ordeal and his location at the time of the incident, Mr. Logic revealed that he was forced to seek refuge under a table in the master control room.

He condemned the violent act and explained that he remained hidden beneath the table for approximately half an hour.

Describing his distressing experience, he mentioned that the space under the table in the cramped master control room lacked proper ventilation.

He expressed his unhappiness with the situation, emphasizing the discomfort he endured during that time.

“I am not happy about what happened at all. That master control room doesn’t have enough space, yet you should’ve seen the table under which they pushed me. It’s very bad! What I went through in the control room under the table wasn’t good at all. For about 45minuites I was hidden in the control room covered and squeezed under the table.

“It seemed like they came for all of us, but I emerged from hiding when they began calling out A Plus’ name. I am deeply disappointed. If this was indeed orchestrated by a faction within the NPP, then it’s a huge disappointment. I am awaiting confirmation of who sent them before I make any further statements,” he remarked.

Mr. Logic further stated that he would eventually reveal more details about the incident, particularly regarding the individuals responsible for organizing the attack, once their identities were uncovered.

“It looked like they came here for all of us but I came out when they started calling out A Plus’ name. I am so disappointed. If this was truly an NPP gang, then I am disappointed. The person who sent them really goofed. I am waiting to know who sent them before I speak,” he added.

The attack on UTV has elicited strong condemnation from the Ghanaian public, with calls for swift action to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Various entities, including the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), the Ghana Journalists Association, and the Ministry of Information, have all expressed their condemnation of the attack.

In context, the incident occurred when a group of young men, claiming affiliation with the New Patriotic Party (NPP), disrupted the United Showbiz program shortly after it began.

They stormed the UTV studios during the live broadcast, demanding an apology from one of the panelists, A-Plus, whom they accused of insulting the party, the president, and the vice president.

Subsequently, the Ghana Police Service arrested 16 individuals in connection with the incident, and investigations into the matter are currently ongoing.

  • Ghanaian youth are being stupid—Mr Logic

Ghanaian youth are being stupid—Mr Logic

Several Ghanaians, on September 21, 2023 joined the #OccupyJulorbiHouse which was organised by the civil society group, Democracy hub, to express their dissatisfaction with the government’s performance on various issues such as high cost of living, corruption, and press freedom.

Although many have supported the actions of these protesters, others, such as entertainment critic Mr Logic, believe Ghanaian youth are being stupid for allowing themselves to be driven by people’s personal agendas.

    https://twitter.com/i/status/1705845464493428952

Expressing his opinion on the controversies surrounding the protest, however, and acknowledging the right of every Ghanaian to protests, the chairman of Ghana Song Writers Association stated that,

“As much as you have a constitutional right to protest, its not right for you to always be found on the streets protesting.

“Do not allow yourself to be dragged by people’s personal interests and agendas.

People are allowing themselves to be fooled by people’s agendas,” he said while speaking on UTV’s United ShowBiz on Saturday , September 23, 2023.

On his part, the police acted right by preventing the protest from taking place on the first day, as the service’s core mandate is to “protect and serve”.

Hence once it perceives an impending danger or disturbing occurrence, the service has every right to restore calm and maintain order, exactly what they did during the #OccupyJulorbiHouse.

“Then we later point fingers at the police for no reason. What is the core mandate of the police? It is to protect and serve,

“So if you hit the street to protest and the police perceive danger or a disturbance, those who must be held will be held; one’s who will be pushed will be pushed, just as others will be forced to sit.”

“And what is the crime in doing that? First of all, if we didn’t want anyone to protest, nobody would have been allowed anywhere near the jubilee house.

“There’s no way any of them could have gone anywhere close to the Jubilee; as we speak, this is the third year of their protest.

Likening the #OccupyJulorbiHouse to the riots of 1948, where three ex-servicemen marched to Christiansburg Castle in a protest to demand their unpaid war benefits after their fight in World War II.

They were stopped by the colonial police, who shot and killed three of them.

This incident triggered widespread riots and protests in Accra and other parts of the country.

Hence, Mr Logic advised the youth to be circumspect in their dealings and engagement in such protests, as many believe that the only way they can register their displeasure is by protesting.

“Sometimes the youth believe that protest is the way.  If you haven’t lived in a violent community, you might think it is a pleasant experience”, he said.

  • Why seek validation to do what you want with your body – Mr Logic quizzes LGBTQ community

Why seek validation to do what you want with your body – Mr Logic quizzes LGBTQ community

Emmanuel Barnes, widely recognized as Mr Logic and the Chairman of the Ghana Association of Songwriters, has weighed in on the ongoing LGBTQ discourse.

Expressing his viewpoint, he questions the LGBTQ community’s pursuit of public validation for their sexual orientation.

In an interview on August 5, Mr Logic expressed his perplexity, suggesting that individuals within the LGBTQ community could have engaged in their activities privately, without the need for external validation.

Mr Logic remarked, “I hold them accountable because why do they seek validation? This is their dilemma. If a person prefers same-sex pleasure, why should someone else grant them a permission? You have the inherent right to decide what you do with your body. They shouldn’t require validation from others to engage in their sexual preferences. It’s not as if gay individuals even comprehend the full extent of their rights.”

He further elaborated by pointing out that many heterosexual couples partake in anal intercourse within their relationships but maintain their privacy. Hence, he argued that the LGBTQ community’s demand for validation is unnecessary.

“Engage in these activities discreetly. There are numerous men who engage in anal intercourse with their wives. Such practices transpire behind closed doors. Some women even find pleasure in it,” he added.

  • Mr. Logic calls for legal action against Black Sherif

Mr. Logic calls for legal action against Black Sherif

Controversial entertainment pundit, Mr. Logic, has demanded that Cruise People Limited ensures that fast-rising singer Black Sherif faces legal consequences as a deterrent for other artists.

On July 19, 2023, Black Sherif was arrested by the Ghana Police Service at Kotoka International Airport for breaching a contract regarding a July 4 show in Greece, which he failed to attend.

Reportedly, Black Sherif was scheduled to perform on a cruise ship in Greece and charged US$40,000 for the performance. He received half of the payment but did not fulfill his part of the contract.

Mr. Logic believes that such unprofessional behavior hampers the growth of the creative arts industry.

To foster a serious and thriving creative space, he emphasizes the need for accountability and responsibility among artists.

He calls for Black Sherif’s prosecution to set an example and caution other artists against similar actions.

Speaking on the United Showbiz show, Mr. Logic stated that artists should learn from this situation and face the consequences in court, stressing the importance of using the law to create a more professional environment within the industry.

“Artists should take a cue from this challenge, we are in a professional space and the law should take effect. let them go defend themselves in court so lessons can be learned”, he said while speaking on the United Showbiz show.

He added, “We are not making use of the court, and we take certain things likely in the creative space, the industry is known for unseriousness, and its high time the narrative change should we want a better professional environment”.

  • Infidelity is a foolish act men indulge in – Mr Logic

An artist manager and entertainment pundit, Mr. Logic, has stated that cheating is an unwise act frequently committed by men.

In his opinion, men who engage in infidelity gain nothing from it but instead experience regret when they realize they have betrayed their girlfriends or wives.

Mr. Logic expressed this viewpoint during an interview with the media.

The discussion arose from Adjetey Anang’s recent memoir, in which he confessed to cheating multiple times on his wife.

“What make men cheat is our imagination; our thoughts. The moment we see a lady by sight, then we develop the thought. To be frank with you, there’s nothing a man gets from cheating. Cheating is one of the foolish acts but the thing is that you get to know you acted foolishly after engaging in it. You will realize that the thought drives you into the loss”, he stated.

Mr. Logic, during the discussion, expressed his perspective on why Adjetey Anang chose to disclose in his book that he had cheated on his wife multiple times.

According to Mr. Logic, he believed that Adjetey Anang should not have revealed such information. Instead, he suggested that the actor should have acknowledged his mistakes, sought forgiveness, and demonstrated genuine repentance.

Furthermore, Mr. Logic emphasized that while a woman may forgive a man who admits to cheating, she will never forget the betrayal.

Adjetey Anang should have known that, after cheating, you should forgive yourself and repent. If you cheat on your wife or your woman, just understand that you were at fault, forgive yourself, and change. Because if you tell the lady, she would say she has forgiven you but I bet you, anyone who has cheated on his wife or woman and has confessed to the lady, I want you to know that the lady has not forgotten.

“I want Adjetey Anang to understand that his wife has not forgotten about his cheating scandal. It is still in her. Maybe because of the family, the kids, and some few things, she is trying to endure but if he tries cheating on her again, the marriage will go down”, Mr Logic explained.

  • Sarkodie’s reply to Yvonne Nelson was unnecessary – Mr Logic

Sarkodie’s reply to Yvonne Nelson was unnecessary – Mr Logic

Sarkodie’s response to Yvonne Nelson, in the opinion of music and entertainment commentator Mr. Logic, was unnecessary.

He believes that Sarkodie should have been empathetic towards Yvonne Nelson considering her story.

To him, Sarkodie could have let sleeping dogs lie.

“The attacks, the response was needless. If he wanted to cash out like Yvonne then fine. However, I’m of the view that Sarkodie could have stopped his response,” he said.

However, Mr Logic quizzed whether Sarkodie was the only man to have made Yvonne Nelson pregnant in her lifetime and caused her to commit an abortion because if he’s not the only one, then her picking on Sarkodie was not worth it.

Sarkodie’s response to Yvonne Nelson that caused a stir online

Sarkodie has released a track titled ‘Try Me’, which is a response to Yvonne Nelson’s allegations.

One can recall that after narrating how the rapper impregnated her and denied responsibility, Yvonne Nelson, in her memoir, also detailed how he drove her to a health facility where she bled profusely in his absence.

In a chapter titled ‘Abortion’, in her book, ‘I Am Not Yvonne Nelson’, the actress disclosed how Sarkodie accompanied her to the Mamprobi Polyclinic for abortion and since never bothered to find out how the procedure went.

However, telling his side of the story in the single, ‘Try Me’, Sarkodie detailed that it was Yvonne’s sole decision to abort the pregnancy.

Although the rapper admitted that they had a relationship, he said Yvonne was only playing the victim and taking advantage of the fact that the world listens to women more than men.

    Yvonne Nelson’s rants

After dissecting the contents of Sarkodie’s reply to her earlier allegations, Yvonne Nelson stormed Twitter with a series of rants targeted at the former.

She has tackled the lyrics and responded to the parts that hurt her the most.

  • You don’t own a song because of production fees – Mr Logic schools Appietus

You don’t own a song because of production fees – Mr Logic schools Appietus

When Ghanaian music producer, Appietus admitted to having uploaded 5Five’s 2010 monster hit ‘Muje Baya’ on a digital platform that fetched him good revenue, a number of industry players including the affected musician, and his management spoke against the move.

Talent manager, Mr Logic is the latest to condemn the act by Appietus, the producer of ‘Muje Baya’.

“But, seriously, Appietus you don’t own a song because the production fee wasn’t settled oo bro. I think you should rather dialogue with bullhaus on this. Court won’t help you”. You are entitled to your production fees P3 asaa,” Mr Logic’s Facebook post dated January 18 read.

According to the legendary producer who has worked with a tall list of Ghanaian artistes, 5Five failed to pay him for his work, reason why he took that decision.

“When the songs became a hit, you didn’t pay me so I needed to put them online to make my money. Now you say am a thief, thank you very much but note that I will take the matter to court,” Appietus opened up in an interview with Sammy Flex on CTV.

Papi, a member of the onetime vibrant music group, 5Five, has openly called out the producer and promised to take him on in a court of law for wrongfully making money from his song.

Meanwhile, the musician has refuted claims that they never paid for studio fees when they worked with Appietus.

In a heated argument on CTV, Papi and Appietus exchanged words and traded insults on live television.

“Appietus, you are dumb, barter trade is still payment or you don’t understand the word. You claim I never paid for the studio session. You are very stupid…Appietus your whole career, your whole life, Muje Baya made you. All your songs, which one made you?” Papi quizzed.

Speaking with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, Mr. Logic based his assertion on the fact that the music group has been relevant and consistent over the years.

The group has undoubtedly worked hard and stayed together to treat Ghanaians with good highlife and azonto tunes. The group recently released their latest song titled #Exciting which is enjoying massive airplay both on radio and Tv.
