Ghanaian actress Nadia Buarirecently opened up about the traumatic experience of an armed robbery at her home while she was on set filming.
Speaking on 3 Music TV’s The Big Conversation on November 1, 2024, Nadia recounted receiving a distressing phone call that alerted her to the break-in.
“During the time we were filming, I was going through a lot personally. So I wasn’t focused on my lines. Even while on set, my home got robbed. We had to film so I had to ignore it, pretend nothing had happened,” she said.
Nadia, famed for her role in “Beyoncé: The President’s Daughter,” also talked about the challenges of balancing her responsibilities as a mother with her filming schedule.
“I’m a hands-on mother. We usually start shooting around 6 PM and wrap up around 5 AM.
I rush home to get my kids ready for school, drop them off, then do some house chores before picking them up later. I had little time to rest while on set,” she added.
Ghanaian actress Nadia Buarihas disclosed that kissing scenes in films are not genuine; rather, they are staged performances designed to portray realistic romantic moments.
In a recent interview with TV3, the “Beyoncé” actress elaborated that the goal of actors is to make these scenes appear believable to the audience, emphasising that they do not involve real emotions.
Nadia made a clear distinction between the feelings of the characters and those of the actors themselves, explaining that these scenes are crafted solely to enhance the characters’ narratives and do not reflect the actors’ actual sentiments.
“They are not real. It is make-believe. However, we are trying to convince people, so we were really kissing, but it is just that it is real for the characters, not for the actors. There are no feelings involved,” she stated.
Nadia Buari emphasised the importance of separating emotions from kissing scenes, which are often filmed in front of large crews.
She considers both kissing scenes and character portrayal to be the most challenging parts of her acting career.
After a break from the screen, Nadia is back and offering her perspective on the difficulties of acting in films.
To mark her return, she will star in “Forever in a Night,” produced by John N. Okwugo and directed by Jameel Buari. The film is set to premiere on November 9, 2024, at both Accra Mall and West Hills Mall in Accra.
Ghanaian actress Nadia Buari shared her motivation for venturing into movie production in addition to acting.
Speaking with TV3 on Wednesday, October 23, Buari explained that she grew weary of being typecast in ‘lover girl’ roles and wanted to take on more challenging projects.
“I got into movie producing because I felt I wasn’t being challenged enough. The scripts I was receiving and the roles I played were not challenging enough,” she explained.
She expressed her love for thriller and horror genres, noting that these preferences were rarely seen in the roles she was given.
“Every time I got a script, it was either a lover girl or I was after somebody’s boyfriend, and I just got tired of that.”
Buari chose to take charge of her career by producing her own films, which enabled her to delve into a broader array of characters.
“I had too many stories, and I felt like if I ventured into producing my own movies, I could play the character I have always wanted to play,” she said.
Since making this choice, Nadia Buari has produced four films and is actively working to broaden her portfolio.
After taking a break from acting, she made her comeback with the movie Forever in a Night, produced by John N. Okwugo and directed by Jameel Buari.
Ghanaian actress Nadia Buari, known for her award-winning performances, has thrown her weight behind the public outcry and debates against illegal mining in Ghana.
She pointed out that while in the past, Black people blamed the white man for ruining their future, today it is the Black man himself who is actively destroying it.
She thus urged all persons, including those in leadership positions, to join the campaign against illegal mining, before it eventually destroys the unknown future.
“Please, our fathers, our mothers, our religious leaders, and all reasonable people who have this nation at heart, let’s rise up to stop this menace of greed before it stops our future. Let’s forsake this evil act for the sake of our children. Stopping this, I believe, begins with public education to raise awareness of this dangerous pursuit. Our children must not only be taught about Ghana being a leading producer of gold in the world, but also the danger in abusing our land for such treasure,” she wrote in a post shared on X on September 27, 2024.
She delved into the root causes of the galamsey issue, highlighting the involvement of national leaders in the illegal practice, which poses a serious threat to the country’s forests and water resources.
“Ignorance, poverty, greed, and the desperation to be rich at once and at all costs seem to be the driving forces behind the pungent act of illegal mining, otherwise known as galamsey, destroying our dear country. All over the continent, politicians no longer just rob their nations, but also now flaunt their ill-acquired wealth in the faces of the same masses that put them in power through the open acquisition of public properties and other matters that really do not matter to the people.
“This, I believe, over time has created the wrong hunger in the citizenry to take their own destinies into their own hands, to undertake activities detrimental to lands, farms, rivers, and other important areas of our various countries reserved for research,” the actress wrote.
On the recent arrest of some citizens during a demonstration organized by Democracy Hub, Nadia condemned the arrest while urging support in demonstrating against all wrongs in society.
“Finally, expressing our democratic rights for our rights is always right as long as how we express these rights is within our rights in the law. We therefore must support all forms of protests or demonstrations within our rights to fight these wrongs affecting our land.
“And nobody exercising his or her right to protest against this wrong has done anything against the law to be arrested or detained for any reason,” she stated.
The arrest and subsequent remand of over 40 Democracy Hub demonstrators has led to growing public uproar.
Several public figures following the arrest of the suspects who have been accused by the police of engaging in acts of lawlessness have joined a growing social media campaign for their release.
LET’S STAND UP AGAINST THIS MENACE THAT IS DESTROYING THE FUTURE OF OUR COUNTRY!
Ignorance, poverty, greed and the desperation to be rich at once and at all cost, seem to be the driving forces behind the pungent act of illegal mining otherwise GALAMSAY, destroying our dear…

Ghanaian actor Kalybos has received massive backlash from netizens after he posted a video on instagram.
In the video, actors like Kalybos,Nadia Buari, Zynell Zuh, Hailey Sumney, and others could be seen having fun and showcasing the behind-the-scenes of the movie they were filming in a video that was circulated. The video’s use of Sarkodie’s “Try Me,” which was directed at fellow actress Yvonne Nelson, as the background music.
The use of Sarkodie’s Try me song has sparked mixed reactions among users on social media, causing a division of opinions. While some individuals have voiced their disappointment and criticized the actors for their actions, others have taken a contrasting stance.
Below are some reactions from netizens
One user said, “Hmmm…I like the entire crew…but I don’t like the song though ????…despite the fact that Sarkodie is my Best Musician in Ghana,” expressing their disapproval of the song choice.
Another social media user added, “Oh, you people are using this disgraceful song? Or are you doing it because you are not in good terms with Yvonne, so you support Sarkodie. So shameful,” implying that the actors’ choice of song was motivated by a negative relationship with Yvonne Nelson.
A particularly disgruntled user expressed their disappointment in actors Kalybos and Nadia Buari, stating, “I thought they’re supposed to have each other’s backs noorrr hmmm. This shows that they all might have been envying, jealous, and hating on Yvonne for a long time on low key… playing this derogating disrespectful and insulting song by @sarkodie directed at Yvonne on their gatherings tells it all.
“Wow, I’m so disappointed in @kalybos1 and @iamnadiabuari, these two have been my all-time best and favorite, not even the Yvonne Nelson I am supporting in this case, and yet they do this ???????????? I never thought they could stoop this low, be this bitter and hateful too towards Yvonne Nelson like Sarkodie… As for the rest of the ladies, it’s obvious if they hate and envy Yvonne, the girl’s height and beauty alone helped her to play in almost all of Ghana’s top hit movies by playing major lead roles and not them, so somehow, they are jealous and angry with her. Still, it is not her fault if they should be angry with her for that… but Kalybos norr, what’s his beef with Yvonne Nelson too?
“Doing this to your colleague actors is absurd and wicked!!! These are some of the behaviors and attitudes in we Africans reasons why we are not progressing above the mediocre standards we feel so content with and complacent about.. sad reality..”
Background
On the back of Yvonne’s claim that Sarkodie impregnated her in 2010 but had to abort the baby because the rapper did not like the idea of keeping the baby, Sarkodie replied with a track titled ‘Try Me.’
In the song, he addressed Yvonne’s accusations of pregnancy and denial, stating that it was her decision to undergo an abortion.
Sarkodie alleged that Yvonne was manipulating the situation, taking advantage of the fact that society tends to listen to women more than men.
Yvonne, on the other hand, took to Twitter to express her discontent with Sarkodie’s reply, engaging in a series of rants aimed at addressing the lyrics that hurt her the most.
As the controversy continues, the public eagerly awaits further developments in the Sarkodie-Yvonne scandal, hoping for a resolution that promotes understanding and healing for all parties involved.

Social media is buzzing with discussions sparked by a video featuring Nadia Buari and one of her daughters re-enacting a movie scene. In the scene, one character asks another whether she believes a married man would abandon his wife for her.
The video has generated significant conversation and engagement among users on various social media platforms.
The said movie is ‘The Family That Preys’ directed by Tyler Perry. The movie delves into the lives of two families, the Cartwrights and the McGregor’s, whose lives become intertwined through friendship and business. The intricate relationships between families, treachery, greed, and eventually the power of forgiveness are important themes in the narrative.
The re-enacted scene was a dialogue between two women about the possibility of a man leaving his wife and child for another woman.
“Do you really think that man is gonna leave his wife and his child for you?”
“Shut up! Yes, he will. Why is it so hard for you to believe?”
While some have expressed admiration for the acting skills ofNadia Buari‘s child, others have expressed curiosity about the actress’ decision to keep her children’s faces hidden as the shared video, like several others, showcased a profile shot of the child, while Nadia’s face was visible.
“My first tiktok with my lil munchkin and sheeesssshhhh….it was so hard for me to keep a straight face. Just looking at how incredibly adorable she was acting; I had to hug and kiss her in every take,” the caption of her video read.
Meanwhile, some have questioned the timing of the video and have given their interpretations. They have insinuated that it is a subtle reaction to Yvonne Nelson’s issue with Sarkodie.
Yvonne Nelson and rapper Sarkodie have been making headlines in recent days due to Yvonne’s newly published memoir. The actress revealed in her book that Sarkodie allegedly impregnated her in 2010 but did not take responsibility for the pregnancy. Instead, she claims that he influenced her decision to undergo an abortion. These revelations have garnered significant attention and discussion in the media.
The rapper has also reacted with a song titled ‘Try Me’, stressing he was not ready to have a child at the time but told Yvonne to keep it. Regardless, Yvonne, according to Sarkodie, said she was in school and wanted to focus on education.
“So, don’t make it seem I was the one pushing for abortion”, the rapper who is now married with two kids rapped.

In August 2021, Beverly Afaglo’s Tema residence was burnt down to ashes. Some celebrities contributed clothes and other items to the style influencer and her family.
Ghanaian actress Nadia Buariand her daughter are such an adorable pair and this shows in the memorable photos and videos they take when they share moments together.
A recent photo of the pair was shared by Nadia Buarion her officially verified Instagram page, @iamnadiabuari. In the photo, the little girl was seen giving her mother a kiss on her right cheek.
Both of them wore matching outfits but in different colours. Nadia wore a blue and red shirt and trousers, while her daughter wore an all-wine turtle-neck with a pair of trousers. They both wore very dark sunglasses.
Captioning the post, she noted that; The greatest thing you’ll ever learn is to love and be loved in return.

Being one of the bridesmaids definitely is not always easy, that is why gifts are often given to them to show that they are appreciated.
For one, you do not want to draw attention from the bride. For another, you want to maintain a low-key, elegant, understated look.
Naturally, it’s the bride who will be the focus of attention on her wedding day, but the bridesmaids need to look gorgeous too. Choose something simple and not over-decorated or detailed, but which will make you look elegant, sophisticated and feminine.
Interestingly we have found the perfect inspiration for you if you have been assigned the role of a bridesmaid.
Ghanaian actress, Nadia Buari has proved over the years that she is a great woman who understands fashionand how to dress effortlessly for any event.
Evidently a trendsetter, Nadia is redefining style and fashion for upcoming celebrities.

Complemented with her flawless makeup and infectious smiles, the trendsetter played the role to perfection. Her wrapped matching Gele had a life on its own.

According to Gifty Mawunya Nkornu, wife of actor John Dumelo, in a post shared, the traditional wedding of Samera was over and her white wedding is expected to hold at exactly 3:00 p.m.
Samera is walking down the aisle with her sweetheart, Seloame Baëta, who is an engineer and project manager at Cenpower.
The beautiful couple already has photos and videos from their traditional wedding flying on social media.
Celebrities have taken this social media money making strategy too far and something has to be done about it.
The latest thing they do now, is make money off their babies. They open social media pages for their infants and expose them to millions of people around the world all in a bid to bag endorsement and advertisement deals.
Below is a screenshot of the page one of Nollywood’s top actresses, Ruth Kadiri opened for her daughter Reign.
If you check the page you will notice that she has been doing it since the birth of the baby. Exposing an innocent infant to a world as wicked as ours.
Ruth Kadiri is not the only one, many Nigerian celebrities do this online marketing thing, where they market their children. Below is a screenshot of the page Paul Okoye(Rude boy) opened for his twins.
Nadia Buari has four beautiful kids, if she is to open a page for even one of them, they will have lots of advertising gigs and endorsement deals because of their beauty.
However, the actress chose to protect them from social media. Even when she posts photos of them, their faces don’t show. Some people ignorantly call it pride but it is nothing but a mother choosing to protect her children.
Ghanaian screen goddess Nadia Buari has taken to Instagram to share relationship advice with her fans.
In a long message, the actress stated that relationships become boring after being together for a long time however what love is not just a feeling but an everyday commitment to love every day, physically and emotionally.
She also added that people call it quit when the can no longer find sparks in the relationship.
The mother of twin girls concluded by stating that the relationship world is real and quite different from Hollywood.
D3 consisted of Esbee, MzVee, and Adellynx. When the group disbanded, Esbee and MzVee went on to pursue solo careers.
Esbee’s first release was in 2014 and it was rap song titled Rebirth which featured Phil Blak. She later dropped a song with Mugeez which was titled I Want.
Since that time, not much has been heard of Samera in the musical circles.
Born March 26, 1994, she is the youngest of Nadia’s siblings.
