    We will build a bigger, better and more glorious church – Pastor Chris reacts to fire incident

    The General Overseer of Christ Embassy Church, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, has reacted to the fire outbreak that hit his church’s headquarters today.

    For Pastor Oyakhilome, it was not an accident but a catalyst for greater things.

    He recalled that during the 2021 bombing at Ikeja Cantonment, the church building shook so much that he feared it would collapse, but it remained standing.

    The pastor mentioned that they had engineers assess the situation, and it was confirmed that the building was stable.

    Pastor Chris expressed that he is not disheartened by the incident, and he and his congregants will build a larger church to glorify God.

    “Nothing happens in the life of a child of God by accident. During the 2001 Ikeja Cantonment bombing incident, the building vibrated so much, and we thought it was going to collapse. I thought to myself that if it collapsed, I was going to build a bigger, better one. At the end of the day, it didn’t collapse, and we called the engineers to see if there was any need to bring it down and rebuild, but it was still okay.

    “Now that this has happened, we will build a bigger, better, and more glorious one, and the devil will lick his wounds,” he said during a live Sunday service at the church’s campground, Asese, monitored by Vanguard Newspaper in Nigeria.

    This follows a fire that swept through the Christ Embassy Church Headquarters in Ikeja’s Oregun District, Lagos State, as reported by Channels Television, a Nigerian media outlet.

    Eyewitnesses confirmed the incident, and multiple social media videos showed the massive edifice being destroyed by fire.

    The fire broke out early Sunday, causing significant damage to the church property and sending shock waves throughout the community and beyond.

    The Lagos Fire Service was on the scene to manage the situation, and no lives were reported lost.

    Pastor Chris Oyakhilome of Christ Embassy Church has said that the COVID-19 guidelines given to churches qualifies fully as persecution of Christians.

    Oyakhilome stated this during a live sermon delivered on July 1, 2020.

    The clergyman stated that people are allowed to flout the guidelines in other places while churches are the only places monitored.

    He said, “What is happening to Christians and Churches qualifies fully as persecution because in many countries, many states and many cities, people are allowed to go to the shops, market places, crowded places for hours without wearing a mask. Nobody cares about social distancing…and yet we have those who have the audacity and the foolishness to go into churches and say they are monitoring churches because the virus only attacks people who go to church”.

    Nigerian Famous Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has stated that a Christian cannot say he/she believes in Jesus and be afraid of touching someone with coronavirus.

    The man of God said this in a televised serviced when he was speaking to his congregants around the world.

    He reiterated his claim of churches still being shut because some church leaders have insisted that for places of worship to reopen, health guidelines he (Pastor Chris) described as “wicked” must be observed. Some of the guidelines include wearing of gloves to lay hands on the sick and suspension of communion.

    “You cannot believe in Jesus and be afraid of viruses because Jesus touched the lepers and healed them, the Bible is clear”

    Pastor Chris insisted that what church leaders are inadvertently planning is “persecution of Christians” as leaders in the country might currently be mocking Christians.

    What happened to this pastor gaaan. How can you say the leaders of churches are controlling the govt to lockdown churches, when the government is only controlling the gathering of people… The church is not the building but their gathering of the brethren, which can also be done online. Not necessarily physical. Even Mecca is shutdown , Jerusalem is shut down . Then who the f**k sake are you to condemn the act. The govt should make his place an isolation center, let him preach to them. I do respect the Chris of Atmosphere of Miracle, but you see this version of Chris is not from this planet .

    He also went on to say, “If we go by science, you should not wear masks in public.”

    The clergyman also said that various scientists, virologists and Immunologists in the world have come out to support his initial claim that the enforcement of a lockdown in battling a pandemic isn’t scientific.

  • Twitter users react to Pastor Chris’s ‘5G conspiracy theory’

    Since the outbreak of the novel Coronavirus in China last year December, there seems to be a new form of conspiracy theory coming up every week about the origin of the virus.

    In recent times one of the theories that has gained a lot of attention and support is the allegation of a relationship between the new 5G internet technology and the COVID-19 pandemic.

    Adding weight to this theory on the African continent is the founder and president of LoveWorld Incorporated, also known as Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhiloma.

    While other proponents of the theory have been quite questionable with their claims, the level of presentations made by the Christian leader has gained him a core group who also believe in the theory.

    And even though there has been a lot of criticisms directed at the man of God, an army of Tweeps are declaring support for the preacher with a hashtag #iStandWithPastorChris.

    With thousands of tweets made with the hashtag, majority of the tweeps are either Christian faithfuls who feel the current happenings fall in line with the bibles prediction events preceding the end time, while others also think it all plays into a bigger picture of a new world order about to take control of the world.

    Either ways the argument on the true origin of the novel coronavirus which is claiming several lives across the world is a question that is yet to receive a definite answer and will probably see more theories with more arguments being made for or against them.
