A devastating tragedy unfolded in Akyem Anamase, near Oda in the Eastern Region, last Friday when Chief Inspector Godwin Beniba, the groom, tragically died during his wedding ceremony.
Beniba, who served as the Station Officer at the Anamase Police Station, collapsed just after arriving at the Anamase Hotel, where the wedding was set to take place.
He had been waiting for his bride, Florence Debrah, alongside his best men. Witnesses reported that upon entering the venue, the groom suddenly complained of dizziness. Before anyone could react, he fell to the ground.
Guests quickly rushed him to the Anamase Clinic, but medical staff declared him dead upon arrival.
The heartbreaking news sent shockwaves through the wedding guests, including police officers who had traveled from various locations such as Accra, Koforidua, Oda, Akyem Achiase, and Akyem Swedru. Many of the attendees, deeply shaken by the tragedy, struggled to contain their emotions.
The wedding feast, which had been meticulously prepared, went untouched as guests left the venue in sorrow.
Beniba’s family, who had come from the Northern Region, made arrangements for his body to be transferred to the Oda Government Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
The entire community was engulfed in mourning, with locals unable to partake in their usual Christmas celebrations due to the shocking loss.

Kobina Ackon known widely by the brand name, Wode Maya, who is a Ghanaian freelance Vlogger/YouTuber, has noted that one will require about GHC15,000 to hold a traditional marriage ceremony.
According to him, this amount will not be able to cater for a white weeding.
“You don’t need the white wedding so 15,000 cedis is enough,” he wrote in a post on X.
He was reacting to a flier by TV3 that indicated that it will cost you GHC44,712.50 to have a standard wedding in Ghana (both White and Traditional ceremonies).
The 3News Research Desk concluded this after costing the average 2021 marriage list of various tribes.
Wode Maya didn’t reveal why such an amount would suffice. Things needed to be catered for during a traditional marriage ceremony include paying of bride price, akonta sekan (money for the brother-in-law), among others.

Renowned Ghanaian TV presenter, Berla Mundi, now Mrs Tabi has illuminated the internet with captivating honeymoon pictures that are making waves on social media.
This comes just a week and a few days after Berla Mundi tied the knot with the operations manager and heir to the Brabex group.
Despite the strict ‘no phones allowed’ policy at the event, some resourceful individuals managed to capture photos and videos, leaking them online to substantiate the widespread reports.
Following her successful wedding ceremony and thanksgiving service, Berla Mundi has maintained a low profile on social media, indulging in the bliss of her nuptials.
However, the TV personality recently shared some delightful photos and videos online, revealing snippets of her honeymoon.
After a group of friends took her out, Berla Mundi took to social media to reassure her online community that all is well in her new marital journey. Sharing an adorable photo and videos, she proudly declared her new status as Mrs. Tabi, using “Mrs. T” as the caption for one of her posts.
A poignant video circulating on social media captures a deeply emotional exchange between a Ghanaian father and his daughter during her traditional marriage ceremony.
In the video, the father, visibly distressed, addresses his daughter, recounting the joy of her culinary skills whenever her siblings visited. He expresses concern about losing this source of familial connection after her marriage.
“If they tell me they are coming, I will have to come and beg your husband Freddie before you can come and cook for them to eat? Do you agree that that should happen?” he queries.
The daughter responds optimistically, urging her father to accept the dowry with a smile. However, the father, his voice breaking, remains resolute, pausing to contain his emotions. Attendees, initially amused, realize the depth of his sentiments as he fights back tears.
In an attempt to console him, they assure him that everything will be okay, but he confronts the impending reality with a poignant question: “Does it mean I too, your father, will have to ask Freddie for permission before you can cook for me?”
His daughter, now emotional, struggles to respond while wiping away tears. The father presses on, asking if she agrees to this potential scenario, but she remains silent, requiring assistance from her bridesmaid.
Finally, the father, sensing the gravity of the moment, poses a question that encapsulates the dilemma faced by many fathers in Ghanaian traditional marriages: “Will you go?” His daughter tearfully replies, “Daddy, please, yes.”
Accepting the inevitability of the situation, her father says, “Alright, it is okay, you can go,” holding her hand and leading her to her husband’s family.
The video, which has gone viral on social media, has elicited mixed reactions from viewers. Some have praised the father for his genuine emotions and love for his daughter. Others have criticized him for being too possessive. Some have also commented on the beauty and elegance of the traditional Ghanaian wedding attire and rituals.
The practice of asking the daughter’s consent to accept the dowry from the groom’s family is part of the Ghanaian traditional wedding customs, which vary from tribe to tribe. It is a way of showing respect and honour to the bride, who is leaving her family to join another. It is also a way of ensuring that the bride is happy and willing to marry the groom, and not being forced or coerced. The bride’s consent is usually sought after the groom’s family has presented the dowry and the engagement list, which is a list of items that the bride’s family requests from the groom’s family as a sign of commitment and goodwill.
The traditional Ghanaian wedding, sometimes called “engagement”, is a colourful and festive event that celebrates the union of two families and cultures. It is often followed by a church or court wedding, which is more formal and legal. The traditional wedding is a rich and unique expression of the Ghanaian culture and heritage, and a source of pride and joy for many Ghanaians.

In a Facebook post dated December 20, 2023, Michael Houston challenges critics of his recent dual wedding, questioning whether they prefer he choose one girlfriend over the other.
He draws parallels to King Solomon, who, according to the Bible, had 700 wives and 300 concubines.
“For the sake of my followers out there i will do a little explanation, I got married to these two beautiful women Adepa Fel Houston and Deejah Houston, and the country went berserk because people couldn’t understand how i made that happen, with many ridiculing the whole show,” he wrote.
“Well what y’all didn’t know was, i had two different engagements seperately at each respective family house, all customary rights for marriage was done to the very last note. We had mini ceremonies with religious leaders blessing the unions.
“Then I decided to have a grand one which i made public to announce to the world that my home is now blessed with two queens.
“Little did I know I will be labeled as a man who didn’t respect women. How do I spend a fortune to disrespect a woman by marrying them?? So society wanted us to keep dating and when pregancy comes, we abort to avoid being stigmatized as born 1’s with no marriage?? Or society wanted me to choose one and break the other ones heart when these two beautiful women have supported me throughout.
“There was this one time, my business hit rock bottom with the biggest recession I had ever seen, I almost sold some of my properties but these two came together, gathered their savings and borrowed some from other people to help me push my business back to the top. No way in hell will I be able to live with my self if I had to choose one.
“At the end of the day we made a choice to live as a family under the blessings of our family and the instructions of God.
“Yeah you can label it as polygamy and what not, but where in the bible did God frown upon it? There are religions that don’t marry or have sexual activity and they don’t ridicule those that get married right?
“Abraham, the man God said HE will curse if you curse him and bless if you bless him, married his half sister right?? The one man who God gave wisdom and considered the wisest man ever lived, married 700 wives and had 300 concubines right. Moses who brought us the 10 commandments had two wives right?
“Jesus never even married right so technically as Christian and followers of christ we should have been obligated not to get married right. I can go on and on with these theories but i know it won’t convince certain people who are hell-bent on disagreeing to it to protect either their beliefs or a certain way of life they deem normal.
“I lost many friends due to this marriage and made even more friends after, I am way more than capable of maintaining and making my wives happy and I seek no validation from anyone. Its my choice and their choice. if you are capable and want to make such a choice too, then shoot at it. If not then do what your strength can. I am done explaining, God bless you all and a merry Christmas.
A Nigerian man named Bright has announced the postponement of his wedding originally scheduled for March 2024.
He made this revelation on Monday, citing his reaction to a recent interview by veteran Nollywood actor Emeka Ike.
“My wedding is March next year, but after watching this Emeka Ike interview for four times, I’m putting it on hold! That word “investing in someone who isn’t investing in you,” “Loving someone you don’t know if you’re being loved in return,” is enough for me,” he wrote.
The actor described how his ex-wife, Suzanne Emma, forced him to give up all of his possessions and custody of his children in a live interview on Rubbin Minds.
Remember that the actor and his wife’s 14-year marriage was dissolved by a Lagos Island Customary Court in 2017 due to the actor’s persistent battery?
“I didn’t come on the internet to clarify the allegations against me because the same people that were bullying me on the internet were still there. They are gonna say, ‘Don’t mind him. He is still missing her. Move on’,” the actor said.
“My secondary school, St. Nicholas College, Magodo, was shut down. Over N480 million investment that years was shut down. And all I heard was constant battery. I was like, ‘I didn’t beat this lady. What’s going on? Babe, what’s going on? They said I beat you, do I?”
“And she (my -wife) said, ‘No. But you are a star, you know, they can always manipulate things and all that.’ So, I was gullible until I discovered that she was actually the one behind all this whole thing,”
“Some ladies are too desperate for marriage legally. And she actually told me one time that I am not the marriage type. And I didn’t understand it. So, the young men need to know that there are plenty ladies that are not the marriage type lately,” he added.
Former Black Stars midfielder, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu and his recently married wife are reportedly involved in a car accident days after their marriage ceremony.
The incident occurred on Tuesday November 13 2023, just over 48 hours after their nuptials. Reports indicate that they are currently receiving treatment and are expected to recover.
Blogger Aba the Great reported: “Agyemang-Badu and wife in a car accident after wedding. Received this message from my reliable and authentic source.”
Barbara, a Ghanaian lady, has shared a love story many deem ‘unconventional’. While getting ready for her big day, Barbara who was interviewed by those documenting her wedding revealed the unique journey she and the groom, Dennis, embarked on to find love in each other.
During an interview with Luxury Event/Wedding Vlogger blogwithmcb, Barbara recounted how their connection had initially resembled that of siblings, as their families rented neighboring apartments when they were just 5 and 7 years old.
Barbara explained that her father had taken on a fatherly role in Dennis’s life, given his own father’s absence. As the years passed, they grew up side by side, considering each other as siblings and even playfully referring to potential suitors as their respective “in-laws.” However, as life pulled them in separate directions, they lost touch.
It was only later, during a conversation, that Dennis revealed his feelings for Barbara, confessing that he had been interested in her but had hesitated due to their sibling-like bond. After sharing their newfound affection with their families and receiving their blessings, the two began dating, ultimately culminating in their joyous wedding day.
Numerous politicians were spotted at their wedding over the weekend, including Vice President Bawumia and his wife Samira, Chief of Staff Frema Osei Opare, and Communication Minister Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, among others. Many people have since questioned their connections to these individuals.
Eugene Hagan-Dodoo, the groom, and Davina Ama Gyamfua Adu-Boamah, the bride, gained notoriety on their wedding day because of the high-profile people in attendance.
Eugene Nii Otoo Hagan-Dodoo, the groom, is an IT consultant for the real estate company Chain Homes.
In addition, he is an expert in digital media, photography, and videography.
Eugene holds a bachelor of engineering in computer software from Staffordshire University.
He leads the youth ministry at the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), Dunamis, and is also a poet.
The bride, Davina Ama Gyamfua Adu-Boamah is also the granddaughter of the Former High Commissioner to Sierra Leone.
Mokowa B. Adu-Gyamfi, her grandmother, is also a specialist in community medicine who has practised in Scotland, Saudi Arabia, and other countries.

Planning a low-budget wedding requires creativity, resourcefulness, and careful consideration of expenses. Here are ten ways to plan a budget-friendly wedding:
Set a Realistic Budget: Determine a strict budget from the beginning and stick to it. Consider what elements are most important to you and allocate funds accordingly.
Choose a Budget-Friendly Venue: Opt for affordable venues such as local parks, community halls, or private backyards instead of expensive banquet halls or hotels.
DIY Decorations: Get crafty and create your own wedding decorations, centerpieces, and bouquets. Utilize affordable materials like candles, string lights, and seasonal flowers.
Limit the Guest List: Keep the guest list small and intimate, inviting only close family and friends. Fewer guests mean reduced expenses on catering, seating, and favors.
Simple Invitations: Use electronic invitations or opt for simple, cost-effective wedding stationery instead of elaborate custom-made invitations.
Off-Peak and Weekday Weddings: Consider having your wedding on a weekday or during the off-peak season, as venues and vendors often offer discounts during these times.
Thrifty Wedding Attire: Look for budget-friendly wedding dresses, groom’s attire, and bridesmaid dresses. Consider renting or buying second-hand outfits to save money.
Potluck or Buffet-style Catering: Instead of hiring a full-service caterer, consider a potluck-style meal or buffet, where guests bring their favorite dishes to share.
BYOB (Bring Your Own Beverage): If the venue permits, have a “bring your own beverage” policy where guests can bring their drinks, saving on the cost of an open bar.
Digital Entertainment: Instead of hiring a live band or DJ, create playlists and use digital music services to provide entertainment during the reception.
By implementing these budget-saving strategies, you can plan a memorable and meaningful wedding without breaking the bank.
Real Warri Pikin, also known in real life as Anita Alaire Afoke Asuoha, has disclosed that she was celibate up to the night of her wedding. The disclosure was revealed by the well-known comedian during a recent interview with media figure Chude Jideonwo.
Afoke claimed that she decided to live a celibate life after having her heart shattered by a university partner. She claimed that the separation had left her feeling so devastated that she had made the decision to devote her life to serving God.
“I said, you know what? I’m not doing men anymore. I will serve God,” Afoke said. “I started serving God and going to church, praying on campus. I stopped going to parties. And I became celibate. I vowed that no man will see my nakedness again till my wedding night.”
Afoke said that while serving in Abuja as part of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), she met her husband, Ikechukwu. They wed in 2012 and now have three kids.
Reactions to Afoke’s disclosure have been conflicted. While some have applauded her for her dedication to her faith, others have questioned her choice to postpone having sex until after marriage.
Regardless of people’s opinions, Afoke’s story is a reminder that there are many different paths to happiness and fulfillment. She is living proof that it is possible to find love and happiness without having to compromise your values.
In her interview, Afoke also spoke about her struggles with depression and suicidal thoughts. She said that she turned to comedy as a way to cope with her pain.
“I used comedy to express my pain,” Afoke said. “I used comedy to tell my story. And I used comedy to heal.”
The tale of Afoke serves as a potent reminder that we are not the only ones who struggle. Anyone who has ever felt lost or alone can take inspiration from her. Her experience demonstrates to us that even the most trying circumstances can be overcome.

A tragic incident occurred in the renowned Hunter Valley wine region of Australia, where a wedding bus crash claimed the lives of at least 10 individuals, with an additional 25 individuals currently receiving medical treatment in hospitals.
The passengers, who had attended a wedding ceremony at a local winery, were on their way back when the unfortunate accident transpired, causing the bus to overturn.
Law enforcement authorities have taken action by pressing charges against the 58-year-old bus driver, accusing them of 10 counts of dangerous driving leading to fatalities. Authorities are still in the process of positively identifying the deceased victims.
Fortunately, the newly-wedded couple was not aboard the ill-fated bus during the incident.
Police commissioner Karen Webb said the site of the crash is “still an active crime scene”. “We’ve got forensics officers processing the crime scene, we’ve got crash investigation unit officers, we’ve got rescue officers [on scene],” she added.
Tragedy struck at approximately 23:30 local time [13:30 GMT] as heavy fog engulfed the area, resulting in a devastating accident. According to the police, the incident occurred when the wedding bus attempted to negotiate a turn at a roundabout off a highway in Hunter Valley. The bus rolled over due to the circumstances, causing significant damage. Authorities have successfully managed to upright the vehicle.
Acting Assistant Commissioner Tracy Chapman of the NSW Police revealed that the passengers were en route to Singleton, presumably heading towards their accommodations. Among the survivors, two individuals required emergency airlifts from the crash site. Reports from local media suggest that one of the survivors remains in critical condition, underscoring the severity of the incident.
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said it is “so cruel, so sad and so unfair” for a “joyous day in a beautiful place like that to end with such terrible loss of life”.
“People hire a bus for weddings in order to keep their guests safe, and that just adds to the unimaginable nature of this tragedy,” he said at a press conference in Canberra.
Mr Albanese said some of the injured passengers are at John Hunter Hospital, but many have been flown to Sydney.
NSW Premier Chris Minns said the loss of so many lives was “nothing short of heartbreaking”, adding: “For this horrific crash to have occurred on a day that should have been filled with love and happiness only adds to the heartbreak.”
“For a day of joy to end in such devastating loss is cruel indeed. Our thoughts are also with those who have been injured,” he said.
Hunter Valley in New South Wales is known for its vineyards and native bushland, making it a popular spot for wine lovers and group outings or celebrations.
A guest at the wedding said the day had been a “fairy tale” until news of the accident broke.
“We all started panicking,” he told 7 News.
Police said they are still working to identify the crash victims and contact their next of kin.
“Family and friends of a person who may have been on board the bus are urged to contact Cessnock Police Station,” they said in a statement.
Danni Adams, a 30-year-old American woman, recently hosted an extravagant wedding ceremony with a unique twist: she married herself. In this lavish affair, Danni invested $4,000 to celebrate self-love and commitment in a truly extraordinary way.
A video from the wedding ceremony that has landed on the internet shows how Dani hired nine bridesmaids and walked to the altar alone to say her vows to herself.
In an Instagram post, Danni Adams said this is the most beautiful commitment she has made to herself.
I used to think I was cursed. Or, maybe it was some kind of big, cruel, karmic joke. When I found out, over and over again, that my ex married his girlfriend after me. It had happened so many times that it stopped surprising me, and I came to expect it even.
My break-ups were followed by wedding announcements because all of my exes married the girls they dated after me. In a few cases, there was even some disturbing overlap… My exes ended up marrying the girls they dated while they were still with me. Like I said, cursed.
I spent the majority of my twenties engaged (ring and all) to a man who refused to set a date. He said that I pressured him into proposing and that he didn’t even believe in marriage anyway. Marriage was just a piece of paper and you could wipe your butt with a piece of paper.
Weddings were an idiotic waste of money, he said. Eventually, we broke up and I was heartbroken, but not nearly as devastated as I was when a few months later I found out that he’d already married someone else and had a baby on the way! It turned out that he actually did believe in marriage… Just not with me, and that’s a tough blow to the ego.
Remember the scene in When Harry Met Sally when Sally calls Harry crying because her ex got engaged. “She’s supposed to be his transitional person. She’s not supposed to be the one!” Just like that!
In my case, it didn’t just happen once. It continued to happen, over and over again. Apparently, my exes didn’t have “transitional” people, and there was something about me that drove them straight into the arms of their soulmates.
Once, a man told me that he was in love with me (direct quote) and less than a week later, without telling me he was doing this, flew another woman to Paris where he proposed to her with a three-carat diamond that he obviously didn’t get at the last minute.
They are happily married to this day. I see them cavorting all over the world on Facebook on a daily basis and he still can’t understand why I was upset.
I also helped another ex — actually, now that I think of it, I helped two other exes — pick out an engagement ring for women who were definitely not me. One guy even used my finger to size the ring. True story. In that case, luckily, I wasn’t all that tore up about it because our breakup had been mutual and friendly and I really liked the new girl. But still!
I can’t even tell you how many emails and Facebook messages I have received over the years from guys I dated who wanted to share their good news with me. They all went something like this: “I just wanted to let you know that the (day, week, month) after we broke up, I met the most amazing woman, and after a whirlwind romance (completely unlike the one I had with you, obviously), we are getting married!” Then they’d toss in a line about how sweet I was, so they knew I’d be happy for them (Really? I’m not that sweet), and how I was a great catch and would eventually find someone, too. These emails made me want to go on some kind of a crime spree, and because I’m good at exercising self-control, I usually didn’t answer them back.
Eventually, I finally did find a man to marry me.
We’ve been together for fourteen years now, though I’m almost positive that if we divorced he’d remarry within six months, while I’d spend the rest of my life alone in a house full of cats. So I think I’d better stick with him. Still, I can’t help but wonder what was behind this bizarre phenomenon. At the time I didn’t feel very good about myself. I took my exes’ engagements as proof that I just wasn’t good enough for anyone. I thought I was a fat, ugly, uninteresting, a failure at life. I couldn’t not keep a man, or make a man fall in love with me enough to drop to one knee and beg to spend the rest of his life with me. Now I know better.
The fact that I was incompatible with these guys was in no way a statement about my own self-worth. Some people just aren’t right for each other. That doesn’t mean that either one of them is unlovable or defective. It just means we weren’t a match, or at least not the kind of match that should last a lifetime.
Besides that, I’ll admit that I wasn’t always the best at picking boyfriends. Some of these guys were straight-up jerks and would’ve made horrible husbands anyway because they were mean, shallow, and self-centered. I honestly pitied some of their fiancées.
Looking back, the fact that I didn’t end up with them was an enormous blessing. That still doesn’t explain the timing, however. It wasn’t like these guys were eventually getting married after dating me, as most people tend to do. They were literally marrying the first girls they dated after me, and there was a clear pattern going on, so what on earth was it about me that made them marry other women?
A few cases were probably just coincidences. Most of this happened in my late twenties and early thirties, which is the average age for people in my demographic to get married. But after all these years, I may have a better understanding of what was going on here.
I believed that the transitional woman was supposed to come after me, without realizing that, in fact, I was the transitional woman. The guys I dated, for the most part, were coming down from their college years, and the hard partying, playing days of their early and mid-twenties. They were finally getting ready to settle down and become established in careers, but they weren’t quite there yet.
With my gentle spirit (that sweetness they all referenced), I helped these men make the transition from sloppy-drunk, college girl hook-ups to a more sensible, domesticated life.
In other words, I guided my boyfriends through the transition into actual adulthood. Because I exerted a calming influence over their lives, I taught them to have more mature relationships. I got them ready to be halfway decent husbands (I hope, anyway). It wasn’t a job that I had knowingly signed up for, but in retrospect, I’m glad I could be of service, in spite of the occasional bouts of angst and heartache it caused me. I’m no longer sad that all of my exes married their next girlfriends.
I’m actually kind of glad they all managed to find someone, and so did I.

@fidelisbrown_: “This Davido and Chioma marriage be like script always. This girl is a beautiful Igbo woman I don’t think she can proudly say am married. Because everything is secrecy which I think is downgrading her self-esteem. Kindly marry a man that is proud to show everything to the world as it’s done. If I were her family member she will walk away if the guy is not serious with us.”

Eunice, a stunning 28-year-old woman who was stabbed to death by her husband last weekend.
According to reports Eunice and her husband whose name has been (withheld) married just last year in a very wedding minimalist ceremony.
It was only after the wedding that Eunice got to know that her husband is a serial cheat and a womanizer also.
Before Eunice filed for divorce from her violent husband, she had suffered a series of both physical and mental abuses.
Although her husband had promised to have a change of his bad character to good but he never did and this is what influenced her to call the marriage a quit.
During one of their many heated arguments over the weekends, her husband used a cutlass to butcher her.
Unfortunately, she was pronounced dead after she was rushed to the hospital to receive treatment.
At the moment, the husband who committed the heinous crime is on the run.
Below are some pictures of the late Eunice, whose gruesome murder has left a lot of social media users who have come across the disheartening story teary.
Nadia Adongo, the lady at the helm of the ‘Year of Return’ affairs, which included the facilitation of Meek Mill’s visit to Ghana, got married in a ‘most-talked-about’ ceremony in Accra.
Nadia, who is currently the Deputy Head of Diaspora Affairs at the Office of the President, and her sweetheart, Kwesi Fynn, have registered in the book of ‘trendsetting weddings’ in Ghana as their ceremony was indeed a sight to behold.
Held in one of the top-rated hotels in Ghana, Kempinski, every bit of their wedding was characterized by luxury and the finest of class.
The grooms’ convoy lined up vehicles ranging from Rolls Royce, Ferraris, Lexus SUVs, Cadillac escalades, Land cruiser V8s, Porches, and many other exotic engines to the event grounds.
In a green, purple, and gold-themed colour, social media witnessed a ‘fairy-tale-like’ décor, a train of groomsmen and bridesmaids, a host of celebrities, performances from musicians, and many more.
The likes of Freedom Jacob Caesar (Cheddar), Nana Ama Mcbrown and her husband Maxwell Mensah, popular Ghanaian business mogul Kofi Boat, King Promise, Nana Boro, and many others were spotted at the wedding grounds.
The couple had a change in outfit three times, prior to hitting the dancefloor at the reception grounds.
With the hashtag #FYNNAD23, videos kept pouring in on social media amidst interesting reactions from fans.
Weddings are the perfect places to witness love, have some good food, and maybe even catch the bouquet if you’re lucky. But for one particular party-goer, it was an opportunity to light up the dance floor… literally.
This dancing machine, armed with some sparklers, went on a mission to grind his dance partners until he caused a fire scare. Yes, you read that right! He danced so hard that he set the flowers on fire!
In the now-viral video, you can see the man swapping dance partners like a pro while swinging those wedding sparklers around. However, things took a hot turn when he accidentally lit the flowers on fire during a particularly fiery routine.
As panic set in and the flames grew bigger, the dancing stopped, and everyone scrambled to put out the fire. But this man was not one to let a little thing like flames and smoke ruin his groove. Nope, he calmly pushed the burning flowers to the ground and stomped on them like he was putting out a cigarette butt.
While some have praised his fearless attitude and determination to keep the party going, others have criticized him for putting everyone’s lives at risk. Well, we’ll leave that up to you to decide.
One thing’s for sure, though, this man sure knows how to light up a room (and some flowers too)!
A couple from a French African country has gained attention on social media for their low-budget wedding ceremony. The couple got many excited over their unconventional wedding photos.
In a world where the pressure to have a lavish wedding ceremony can be overwhelming, this couple proved that simple is just as beautiful. They ditched the traditional wedding attire and opted for matching T-shirts with their own faces printed on them. How cute is that?!
And the wedding ceremony itself? Well, it was nothing short of intimate. The couple had only a handful of guests to witness the exchange of vows and that special first kiss.
Their low-budget wedding has received a lot of love online, with many applauding the couple for not giving in to societal pressure. Some even joked about how they wish they had done the same to avoid the debt that comes with expensive weddings.
We’re definitely fans of this low-key approach to marriage. Congrats to the happy couple and here’s to a lifetime of love, laughter, and many more viral moments!
A groom, Adewale Yusuf, recently shocked many Nigerians by announcing on his wedding invitation card that there would be no reception following the ceremony. He has since revealed to SaharaReporters that it only took him two calls to persuade his parents and other family members to agree with his plan.
He admitted that at first it was difficult to convince his wife, Blessing, to agree with the idea, but he eventually succeeded after a few discussions.
This weekend, the newlyweds became a sensation on social media with many Nigerians praising and criticizing their decision to forgo hosting a reception for their guests.
Speaking with SaharaReporters on Tuesday, Yusuf, said that the decision was one of the biggest he ever took in his life.
He said, “When I first informed my parents of the idea not to have a reception after my wedding ceremony, they dropped the call on me.
“Eventually, it took me about two more calls to be able to convince them to support my idea.
“The truth is that I’m a man of my words. I’m a different person, I am not a loud type.
“Many people around me did not like the idea initially but I made sure to let them see reasons with me.
“At the end of the day, everyone appreciated my idea.”
But despite not staging a reception at their wedding, Yusuf told SaharaReporters that many of their guests didn’t return home without having something to eat.
He added, “We shared food for the few friends we invited. I made sure my friends that came from Ibadan went back that day.
“One thing people should know is that there is nothing they want that they can’t do as long as it makes them happy and fulfilled.
“Having a loud reception after the wedding ceremony was unnecessary as far as I was concerned.”

Renowned Counsellor, Kwaku Adumatta, has advised couples looking forward to get marriednot to borrow to fund their wedding.
According to him, marriage itself is a lot of work and adding the burden of paying a debt to it will only make matters worse for the couple.
In an interview with Kwabena Boafo, on Happy 98.9FM’s ‘Nsem Pii’ show, Kwaku Adumatta said “It’s not the best way to start your lives. When will you repay the debts to go on with your lives and develop yourselves. What if children come in the picture too. The bills will keep increasing so it doesn’t make sense to start a life with debts. The marriage won’t last if it is built with debts.”
He stated that unfortunately, a lot of youth are making that mistake. “They want to please people and society so they do anything including taking loans to make this possible.
What they have to understand is that marriage is not a competition. It seems so now and they keep raising the expectation of others when it shouldn’t be the case,” he stated.
He noted that couples need to work within their own terrain because marriage is work and demands a lot.
“It’s not the wedding that matters. The real marriage comes after the wedding and people need to know this and prepare for it. If you start your lives with debts, it brings a lot of discomfort and unhappiness into the marriage and people need to refrain from it,” he advised.
Lawyer and media personality, Afia Pokua got on the wrong side of social media users in her Facebook post that tagged Ghanaians as people filled with ‘pure hatred’ that hinders them from sharing in the joy of others.
Her ‘harmless’ post has attracted backlash in what has been termed as a deliberate attempt to ridicule Ghanaians by comparing them to Nigerians.
“Nigerians can praise and celebrate their own. These two Nigerian couple married this weekend in the US and UK but if it had been my people, enka PURE HATRED nkoaa as if it is their money. PhD in ‘Pull Him Down’ fuo,” Afia Pokua wrote in a Facebook post dated November 27 in reaction to two viral weddings.
Social media users have been pouring in congratulatory messages to two of Nigeria’s key personalities who tied the knot with their sweethearts.
The first was between Nigerian businessman Simon Guobadia and ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ star Porsha Williams who wedded in a custom ceremony on November 25 in Atlanta.
Also, Nigerian actress, Rita Dominic and her husband, Dr Fidelis Anosike, founder of Folio Media Group held their white wedding in North Yorkshire, England on November 26. It had in attendance popular personalities from their country.
Celebrities, fans and well wishes have congratulated the newlyweds but according to Afia Pokua, Ghanaians would have failed to ‘celebrate the couple’ due to their hatred. She added that they could have been questioned for splurging on their ceremony.
Social media users who disagreed with her assertion urged her to focus on the brighter side of life instead of condemning the good people of Ghana based on her experience with a few ‘bad ones’.
Nigerian actress, Rita Dominic and founder of Folio Media Group, Dr. Fidelis Anosike have tied the knot in the presence of family and friends in North Yorkshire, England.
The beautiful wedding ceremony took place in a 900 old abbey after the couple held their traditional wedding earlier in April this year.
According to reports, Rita Dominic met her now husband, Fidelis Asonike in 2017.
The bride wore a beautiful white deep-cut v-neck ball gown made of the finest lace which had a floral feel to it. Her gown had a full skirt with layers of fabric descending in a ball shape with a tight bodice making her look like an absolute princess.
She also completed the look with a traditional blusher wedding veil, that covered the crown of her head and entire face.
She climaxed her entire look with a middle part sleeked hair with an afro pony which matched her silver smokey eye paired with beautiful minimalist earrings.
The groom, beaming with smiles also made a statement on his day with a blue three-piece wedding tuxedo and a bow tie.
Among the bridesmaids were fellow actresses, Kate Henshaw and Michelle Dede, as well as Vicky Sogunro, and Dr. Olivia Waturuocha.
A Nigerian man has reportedly cancelled his wedding and relocated abroad alone after his fiancée insisted that N1 million which is equivalent to ¢32k is too small for their wedding.
According to Twitter user who shared the story online, the couple were planning to relocate to the UK together after their wedding and the man was footing all the bills as the lady and her family were struggling financially — “Heard a gist of this guy that told his babe that he only has ?1M to spend on their wedding.According to him,he upped the budget to 1M cos the lady’s family were having a bad time financially….”
He further disclosed that the man had a lesser budget for the wedding but later increased it to N1million but the lady insisted that the money was still too small for her dream wedding.
Out of frustration and anger, the man cancelled the wedding and relocated to the UK alone.

A man was left confused about what to do when his wife-to-be said that she wanted to dedicate a song to her ex-boyfriend at their wedding – and share the second dance with her ex’s dad.
When you’re planning your wedding with your significant other, the last thing you probably expect them to want to do at the ceremony is to make a tribute to their ex-partner – so one man was left dumbfounded when his wife-to-be said that she wanted to dedicate a song to her ex.
The man took to Reddit’s ‘Am I the a**hole’ forum to explain the backstory, which involved his fiancées’ ex passing away in a traffic accident – so he was trying to respect her wishes for a tribute, but he was finding it really difficult and ‘uncomfortable’ to reconcile the fact she wanted to play a song in memory of her ex, during her wedding to her current partner.
He wrote: “Before we met, my fiancée Kayla was engaged to a man she had dated for three years who died in a traffic accident. I had never dated a woman who had that kind of loss before, so I’ve been learning as I go, but I’ve tried to respect that he will always be a part of her story, and I accepted her relationship with her late fiancé’s parents with open arms.
“They stayed very close, and by the time we started dating they were basically like a second set of parents to her. Kayla’s real parents and her late fiancé’s parents are all amazing people, so I consider myself pretty lucky to have two sets of great in-laws.
“Our wedding is coming up in May, and Kayla told me that after her father-daughter dance, she would like to have a second dance with her late fiancé’s father to the song Vanilla Twilight. She asked me if I was comfortable with that, and I didn’t want to be ‘that guy’ and say no, so I said yes.
“But really, it makes me uncomfortable that she would be dancing to a love song dedicated to another man at our wedding. I am happy to make space in our lives for his memory. A photo of him is on our mantle at home, we make it a point to commemorate his birthday the anniversary of his death, and I feel like I am understanding and supportive when she has bad days. And I am 100% fine with having his parents at the wedding because, as I said, we are all a family. But I also feel like our wedding is one day that it all about our relationship.
“Am I the jerk if I ask her to reconsider this dance? What are the best compromises here?”
The man wanted to know how he could compromise about the dance (Stock Image) ( Image: Getty Images/iStockphoto)
Some people said the man was being unreasonable, but others defended him and highlighted that the lyrics of the song are quite intimate.
One wrote: “I’m gonna differ from the popular opinion here and say you’re not the a**hole. But do any of y’all actually know this song?
“It’s weirdly upbeat, but the lyrics are very very intelligible and are definitely weird in the context of dancing with the dead ex’s dad after her getting married to another dude. It’s one thing to miss your ex, but I wouldn’t want this sentiment being publicly proclaimed by my wife at my wedding if I were in the original poster’s shoes.”
They then proceeded to post the lyrics, some of which are: “‘Cause I’ll doze off safe and soundly, but I’ll miss your arms around me, I’d send a postcard to you, dear, ‘Cause I wish you were here.”
Another defended the song, however, writing: “I can definitely see where she is coming from with the song choice because it does seem like it’s about a partner who died. But it does come off very strongly.”
Someone said that the wife-to-be is being incredibly unfair to her new partner, writing: “Those lyrics momentarily took my breath away with hurt for OP, someone I have never met and know very little about. This is so inappropriate and pretty much spells out a message that OP is second best if that; according to the lyrics she still feels “so alone.”
“If she’s too blinded to see that seven years after his passing, I wonder at her decision to get married. The original poster deserves to be the top priority in his wife’s life. He certainly seems to have shown a lot of sensitivity to her in the past – this shouldn’t be a one-way street.
“Perhaps some gentle pushback (such as another commenter recommending an instrumental to replace this song) would open some healthy discussion about the way forward for their married life. I fear the original poster’s good nature had led to him inadvertently being taken advantage of, and that’s not a constructive way to head into a new life together.”
When it comes to wedding hair and makeup, the possibilities are endless!
Find the right makeup and hairstyle for your big day.
When it comes to wedding hairand makeup, the possibilities are endless!
But the most important thing to remember is that you want your style on the wedding day to reflect you.
On the day of your wedding, you will want to put your best face forward. However, to achieve perfection, it’s easy to get lost behind layers of foundation, eye shadows, and glosses.
Maybe you’re feeling completely lost in a sea of pictures on the internet, or maybe you have no idea where to even begin with your search. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.
Here are some things to keep in mind while the best hair and makeup styles for your wedding:
Your outfit
Turn to your wedding attire if you’re stuck on the topic of how to choose a wedding hairstyle and makeup look. What you’re wearing to the celebration can serve up plenty of beauty inspiration, so focus on the neckline, shape, material, colour and formality to help clue you in on the hair and makeup look that’ll make you look (and feel) best.
Your hair and skin type
When it comes to choosing a wedding hairstyle and makeup look, it’s best to keep in mind what you’re working with. The length and texture of your hair may lend itself to certain styles more than others. Similarly, your skin type may inform your makeup choices.
Your venue
If you’ve already picked your venue, your wedding hair and makeup can easily be based on that decision. Your wedding setting can determine what bridal hair and makeup look might work best, like loose waves and a bronze glowy look for a beach wedding. If you’re getting married in a formal ballroom, try an elegant hairstyle like a sleek top knot or smooth curls.
It’s also important to consider the weather. If it’s going to be humid, an updo might be the best call, whereas crisp outdoor weddings might be the perfect occasion for a beautiful blowout.
Your wedding time
The time of day of your wedding celebration can help inform your bridal hair and makeup decision. This is especially important as different lighting often calls for different makeup. If you’re planning on a casual daytime ceremony, you can opt for a lighter beauty look, but if your wedding is a black-tie evening affair, you may need a bolder look to stand out in the dim lighting.
Your colour scheme
If you have your wedding colour palette picked out, you can use those colours as inspiration for your wedding day look. Incorporate the hues you’ve selected for your wedding day into your hair and makeup. For example: If purple is your accent colour, consider a muted violet smokey eye to match. If you’re going for simple green and white colour scheme, keep your hair and makeup on the same level by opting for a natural beauty look.
The marriage ceremony takes place one month after the celebrity couple, known as “Bennifer,” wedded at a drive-through chapel in Las Vegas.
Their second nuptials took place on Saturday on the grounds of actor and director Affleck’s $8.9m (£7.5m) Georgia mansion, with aerial photos obtained by MailOnline showing the couple walking down a white carpet and embracing each other at a snowy white altar.

They arrived at an airfield near the site of the nuptials aboard a private jet, according to the website.
The pair’s official wedding ceremony is the culmination of a relationship that has stretched over two decades in two separate romances and headlined countless tabloid covers.
Former chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Charlotte Osei has sent a congratulatory message to Bridget Otoo and her husband, Dr Evans Ago Tetteh as they tie the knot, Saturday 13 August, 2022.

The first same-sex weddings have taken place in Costa Rica, the first Central American country to equalize its marriage legislation.
A lesbian couple became the first to tie the knot in a ceremony that took place just after the new law came into effect at midnight.
The wedding was shown on national TV.
President Carlos Alvarado said the law change meant Costa Rica now recognised the rights lesbian and gay people had always deserved.
He tweeted (in Spanish) that “empathy and love should from now on be the guiding principles which will allow us to move forward and build a country where there is room for everyone”.
The first same-sex marriage ceremony was broadcast as the culmination of a three-hour programme celebrating marriage equality.
Marriage equality came about after the constitutional court declared in August 2018 that a ban on same-sex weddings was unconstitutional and discriminatory.
The court gave Costa Rica’s parliament 18 months to change the law.
Enrique Sánchez, Costa Rica’s first openly gay member of parliament, welcomed the change and praised those who had spent years lobbying for the same-sex marriage ban to be lifted.
Eloquent radio/TV presenter with the Multimedia group in Accra, Afia Amankwaah Tamakloe is celebrating her wedding anniversary today, Monday, March 30, 2020.
Afia has shared a nice photo of herself and her hubby, Larry, on Instagram to celebrate the anniversary and I must say they look very great together.

On March 15, 2020, President Akufo-Addo during his second briefing to the citizenry about measures the government is taking to minimize the spread of the deadly coronavirus disease placed a ban on any social gathering that will have more than twenty-five people in attendance.
This meant that parties, attending church/mosque, funerals, big outdoor events, weddings, and the likes were going to be greatly affected.
Well, it seems this Ghanaian couple, whose video has been chanced on by zionfelix.net does not really care about all of that.
They went ahead to have their very simple but very interesting wedding ceremony somewhere in Ghana.
In the video, I can could roughly about seventeen people at the venue, which means they did not go against the law.
The people also made sure that they obey the social distancing rule by setting quite apart from each other at the venue.
This is certainly a great way to cut down cost right? Anyway, check out the beautiful video below
Kennedy Osei and Tracy Ameyaw tied the knot in a traditional colourful ceremony.
Being held at Trassaco Valley, the wedding has seen many attendees flaunt their valuables including posh cars. Indeed, there is pomp and pageantry at the epic occasion.
A groom has been chased from his own wedding by an angry crowd – after his first wife arrived to let his new bride know he was already married to not one, but two other women.
Asif Rafiq Siddiqi, described as a bearded, hefty man in his mid-30s, was pushed and slapped by the crowd, his shirt torn and his pants ripped in the violence that followed the revelation.
The groom, who ended up cowering under a bus, was saved by unknown people.
Polygamy is legal in Pakistan.
However, while a man can have as many as four wives, he must get the consent of his previous wives before he marries again.
It appears that Mr Siddiqi failed to fulfil this critical step, and the first his new wife and her family knew of his previous marriages was when an enraged woman marched into the banqueting hall in the coastal city of Karachi, where celebrations were taking place.
“What’s the matter sister?” one of the bride’s relatives is heard asking on a video of the event.
The woman, Madiha Siddiqi, wasted no time in getting to the point.
“He is my husband, and he is the father of this child. He told me he was going to Hyderabad for three days,” she alleged. She was with a little boy she said was their son.
The wedding was interrupted by a woman claiming to be the first of his three wives
The family then tried to usher her into a side room, which gave her the opportunity to point out more of the people she claims are her relatives.
“That is my mother-in-law and that is my jethani [sister-in-law], who said her mother had been sick for three days and was on IV drips,” Mrs Siddqi continued, before confronting the newlywed bride directly.
“Didn’t you know that he was my husband? He didn’t even think about this innocent child.”
However, it did not stop there: Ms Siddiqi said she had married the groom in 2016, after meeting him at Karachi’s Federal Urdu University, where Mr Siddiqi is understood to work.
Then she revealed he had secretly married his second wife, named as Zehra Ashraf, a teacher at Jinnah Women’s University in Karachi, in 2018. The first Mrs Siddiqi knew of that marriage was a text message from her husband’s new wife.
Mrs Siddiqi said Mr Siddiqi initially denied that wife’s existence, but later admitted he had wed for a second time.
It was Ms Ashraf who also informed Mrs Siddiqi of the latest wedding, sending her in a rage to the celebrations.
It is not clear what exactly happened next. However, police called to the scene told BBC that relatives of the bride pounced on Asif, tore up his clothes and beat him black and blue.
Officers rescued Mr Siddiqi, taking him a nearby police station – but the bride’s relatives followed and waited for him to emerge.
They pounced the moment Mr Siddiqi reappeared – sending him scuttling under a bus. In a video of the scene, voices can be heard threatening him to “come out or we’ll put the bus on fire”.
Scared, he shouts back, “one minute, one minute”, as he prepares to crawl out. As he moves, some people intervene to prevent further violence.
BBC tried to contact Mr Siddiqi and his latest bride’s relatives for comments, but they were not available.
Rao Nazim, head of Taimuriha police station, told the BBC no formal complaint had been registered as yet.
“It is a family matter, and the complainants need to go the family court to settle their issues,” he said.

Joined by friends and family, the couple expressed joy and excitement as they were joined together in holy matrimony.
She decided to feed her husband (groom) by putting the foot in her ample bosom for him to pick with his mouth.
In a video from their wedding sighted by YEN.com.gh, the bride and her groom were seen standing by their beautifully designed wedding.
Done with cutting the cake, it was time for them to taste it. And the plus-size groom decided to be a little sassy.
While the groom picked a piece of the cake and was ready to put in his wife’s mouth, the bride picked hers and dropped in-between her big-looking breasts.
According to the reports the choice of date prevented his colleague footballers from honouring the invitation as they were caught up in a weekend of games across the various leagues.
