Esther Smith’s team reacts to claims of unpaid record label services

In a recent interview with blogger Zionfelix, Queenlet addressed a contractual disagreement involving veteran gospel artist Esther Smith and Debrich Consultancy.

Queenlet stated that the issue arose when Esther was accused of violating a 2020 contract with Jeremy from Debrich Consultancy, whom she had recommended for social media services.

She also revealed her long-standing friendship with Esther, having known her for eight years, and mentioned that she encouraged Esther’s return to the music scene.

According to Esther Smith’s team, after the contract was signed, Jeremy, who is Queenlet’s husband, allegedly leveraged the agreement and Esther’s brand to promote Queenlet’s own work.

They further claimed that he redirected Esther’s official website (esthersmith.org) to various other domains, providing video evidence to back their claims.

When approached about the situation, Jeremy reportedly asserted that he had legal ownership of the website and copyright over Esther’s music, which led to Ankobeahene Records, Esther’s original producer, becoming involved. This situation ultimately resulted in the termination of the contract in March 2021.

To resolve the matter, Ankobeahene and Esther’s management proposed a settlement to Jeremy, contingent on him returning the website and not using Esther’s brand for profit. However, Esther’s team alleged that these terms were not fulfilled, claiming the website is currently being offered for sale online at a significant price.

Additionally, they accused Jeremy of using a platform called “Music Diffusion” to distribute Esther’s music without her permission, stating that she has not received any earnings from these distributions.

Further allegations regarding Jeremy’s conduct have emerged. Sources indicate that his alleged practices of exploiting the work and brands of others are well-known in the creative arts community, affecting several notable Ghanaian and other African musicians.

Reports also suggest he is wanted in Cameroon for allegedly defrauding over 20 gospel musicians.

Esther’s management has cautioned musicians and the public to be wary of individuals presenting themselves as investors or consultants to avoid potential exploitation.

We pleaded with King Paluta for a video, but he gave excuses – Keche Andrew

Andrew Kofi Cudjoe of the Keche music group recently voiced his disappointment with King Paluta during an interview with ZionFelix.

Andrew expressed frustration over Paluta’s lack of promotion for their collaborative song, “My Father,” which was released earlier.

Andrew explained that despite Keche Joshua’s earlier social media criticism of Paluta for not promoting their track, Paluta’s manager initially claimed that they don’t use the main page for such promotions.

However, this claim proved false when Paluta’s page featured posts about collaborations with other artists like Eno Barony, Sista Afia, and Wendy Shay.

Further complicating matters, Andrew recounted how they struggled to get Paluta to record a video for the song’s lyric video.

Paluta cited illness as the reason for the delay, leading Keche to use footage from his “Aseda” video instead.

Although Paluta eventually sent a video of himself and his friends performing their collaboration, he did not share it on his social media platforms.

Andrew criticized Paluta for his lack of professionalism and poor treatment throughout the collaboration process, shedding light on the difficulties they faced.

This is how Dr. Likee’s ex-girlfriend left him due to financial challenges

Ebenezer Akwasi Antwi, popularly known as Dr. Likee, recently opened up about the financial hardships he faced in his early acting career and their impact on his personal life.

In an interview with ZionFelix, Dr. Likee shared that during those early days, he often returned home from movie shoots without any earnings, which led to dissatisfaction and complaints from his then-girlfriend, who was also the mother of his child.

He recounted the difficulty of having to explain to his partner that he had no money to bring home despite working on set.

“In those days, things were not easy. Sometimes, you would tell your woman that you were going on set to shoot a movie, but you would come back with nothing in hand, and she would start complaining that you couldn’t help her,” he said.

This led to frustrations and doubts about his ability to provide, causing tension in their relationship.

Dr. Likee pointed out that many men in the entertainment industry face similar issues, where partners might be tempted to leave for someone who can offer financial stability.

He referenced the story of the late South African reggae artist Lucky Dube, suggesting that success often follows shortly after a partner departs.

He explained, “A beautiful woman will surely meet a man who will show her ‘love’ with money when she steps out. Once that happens, she will leave you because you have nothing to offer her. But the moment the lady leaves is the very moment things begin to work out for you.

“This happened to Lucky Dube… After the woman left, things began to get better for him. Then the child would ask why she didn’t stay with the father.

“Most stars face these challenges. Their marriages are always something else if the Holy Spirit is not involved,” he said.

During an interview with Asempa FM, DJ Azonto emphasised that the income potential in the blogging sphere currently surpasses that of musicians, thanks to the growing prominence of bloggers in recent times.

DJ Azonto expressed a strong inclination to switch from a career in music to blogging, primarily motivated by the alluring financial opportunities in the blogging industry, as his earnings from music wouldn’t suffice for such a significant investment.

He used Zionfelix’s achievement as a testament to the lucrative nature of blogging, further fueling his aspirations to make the switch.

“I want to become a blogger, and next year I’m going to quit music and become a blogger. Because bloggers are making more money than musicians. • My facial mark is part of my identity,I am not a northerner – Zionfelix explains

My facial mark is part of my identity,I am not a northerner – Zionfelix explains

Popular Ghanaian blogger Nana Yaw Felix Adomako Mensah, popularly known as ZionFelix has explained the reason behind the prominent mark on his face, which is often mistaken for tribal identification. He shared the story behind the mark to provide clarity on its origin and significance.

In an interview with Accra FM, he said “According to my parents, I often would get sick when I was a child so they took me to a lot of places for a remedy,” Zionfelix said.

Zionfelix revealed that the marks on his face are not the only marks on his body. He pointed to other marks on the back of both wrists, the sides of his head, his forehead, and elbow joints.

“Most of them have vanished but the biggest one is the one on my right cheek so that’s what people see,” he said touching the mark.

He noted that currently, he does not fall sick often – something his doctor has said “could be a problem”.

According to Zionfelix, his doctor fears when he becomes elderly, “around 40, heading to 50” thereabouts, “all the sickness will pile up on you”. Thus, he was advised to make regular checkups a habit.

On his supposed resistance to sickness, the doctor, he said, informed him “it has to do with your blood group”. He expressed belief in this by recalling “while in Legon (University of Ghana), I am not sure I got sick during the entire four years I was there. I can even go seven years without getting sick”.

Zionfelix emphasized the importance of regular checkups, as advised by his doctor, and underscored the importance of taking his health seriously.

He also clarified that despite the misconception that he is a northerner, he is not. He pointed out that Joe Mettle, another popular Ghanaian artist, also has similar marks but is not from northern Ghana, highlighting that these marks are not indicative of a particular tribe or region.

He stated he is not bothered in the least about having the marks or any stigma attached to it, however: “I’m okay. I grew up with this so I’m okay. I have not even given a thought to it before.”

“Even if I am a northerner, there’s nothing wrong with it,” he said, shrugging a little.

Nana Romeo, who was interviewing the vlogger, wondered if he would take up an offer to surgically clear the mark.

Zionfelix readily answered: “It’s part of my identity so, no. It’d change me.”

Rather, he said there is a scar he got from playing wildly when he was young which would not mind having plastic surgery to correct.

Zionfelix looked like “poverty” at the VGMA – Charlie Dior

Charlie Dior, a popular Ghanaian fashion critic has immensely criticized Zionfelix for his looks at the 24th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs).

The popular blogger was cited as one of the worst-dressed celebrities who appeared on the red carpet at the just-ended awards night.

Charlie Dior took to social media with a tall list of celebrities who showed up with ‘fashion fails’ on the red carpet.

Zionfelix, who had already been trolled on Twitter for his appearance, featured again in Charlie Dior’s latest video.

    Zion wore a peach double-breasted two-piece suit with a buttoned-up white shirt.

He matched the look with a pair of white sneakers.

But the blogger obviously suffered a wardrobe malfunction, particularly with his ill-fitted pair of suits.

However, reacting to the looks, a disappointed Charlie Dior cited Zionfelix as part of individuals who do not look good in clothes, no matter what they wear.

According to the US-based Ghanaian fashion critique, there are some people who exude poverty so much so that, it is evident in every part of their lifestyle and Zionfelix falls within this category.

“Let me say this, there are certain people that poverty is embedded in their system, into their blood that whatever they wear doesn’t suit them. Does that make sense? Poverty is drawn all over their bodies, like a Ghana flag. Whatever they wear, they can wear the expensive fit and still look cheap and bad in them. Maybe, just maybe, Zion might be suffering from that. He tried this time, he tried but it just didn’t work. The sneaker was a wrong choice too,” Dior stressed.

Zionfelix was one of the three bloggers who posed on the red carpet at the VGMAs.

The likes of Eugene Osafo-Nkansah (Nkonkonsa) and Ameyaw Debrah also showed up on the red carpet and even presented some awards.

    Mzbel dismisses Zionfelix’s apologies

Blogger Zionfelix took to his YouTube channel on Monday to address some claims made by singer Mzbel about an interview he did with Afia Schwarzenegger in an attempt to smoke the peace pipe.

The blogger has denied targeting Mzbel’s brand and intentionally inciting attacks on his platform adding that he doesn’t control the answers his interviewees give.

Zion who was called out by Mzbel in a Facebook live announced that he still has love for Mzbel and hoped they could resolve the issue and work again in the future.

Mzbel is dear to my heart, I like Mzbel, I liked Mzbel. I have also loved Mzbel. We haven’t spoken to her in a long time but I still love her even after her video…there are certain things she said that I want to address. My intent was never for people to attack Mzbel,” he said.

The famous blogger was, however, quick to lament her move of dragging his family into their little misunderstanding.

Mzbel in reaction to the latest video published on Zion’s channel turned down his attempt to make peace, instead, reminded him to desist from citing her on his platform.

She made use of some unprintable words in her clap back on Wednesday.

Her post read: “Zionfelix count the number of monetized interviews u have about me on your YouTube Channel with lies and insults about my private life and come back and explain which ones u apologized for!

“Haven’t I politely spoken to u several times to stop? Oh so u have feelings abi? Kwasia mu Kwasia!”

  • I worked hard, I didn’t beg you for money – Zionfelix to Mzbel

I worked hard, I didn’t beg you for money – Zionfelix to Mzbel

Ghanaian blogger, Zionfelix, has confirmed in a recent video on his YouTube channel that he worked for veteran female composer Mzbel, and sees nothing wrong with it.

Zionfelix explained that Mzbel had approached him for collaboration when he had just started blogging, and a recommendation from someone who had seen his potential as a blogger led to a contract signing at Afrikiko.

However, the job exceeded the expectations of the contract, and they continued working together.

“I saw a publication on GhanaWeb with the caption that Mzbel said I was on her payroll. If you are on someone’s payroll, it means you are working for the person. I was working for Mzbel. So if I am working for you and you pay me, I don’t see anything wrong with it.

“Sorry to say, it wasn’t like I was sleeping, or I was begging you for money. I was working for you, and I am happy I worked for you,” he stated.

Zionfelix went on to say that he was pleased to have worked for Mzbel and was puzzled as to why she was making a big deal out of their working relationship.

He emphasized that he wasn’t sleeping or begging for money but was working hard for her and putting in long hours, which she knew.

“If you put me on your payroll, isn’t that something that you have to say as though I wasn’t doing anything and you were paying me? I was working crazy for you, and you know it,” he stated.

Earlier this week, Mzbel accused Zionfelix of being on her payroll after he granted Afia Schwarzenegger an interview, and she spoke ill of the musician.

This led Mzbel to warn Zionfelix to stop mentioning her in interviews so that her people wouldn’t say bad things about her when she was minding her own business and wasn’t thinking of people like Afia.

  • Never mention my name in your interviews – Mzbel warns Zionfelix

Never mention my name in your interviews – Mzbel warns Zionfelix

Songstress Mzbel has long ignored what she sees as a deliberate attempt by Ghanaian blogger Zionfelix to publicly mock her brand in interviews.

The “16 years” hitmaker in a Facebook live on Saturday, March 11, gave Zion a final warning to desist from bringing her up in his interviews when he seats with persons who have issues with her.

Actress Afia Schwarzenegger, in an interview with Zionfelix, called Mzbel names and also took the chance to once again attack her. Afia resurrected past stories about Mzbel and tagged her as a “cheap” woman due to their longstanding misunderstanding.

The singer who was displeased with the comments blamed Zionfelix for bringing her name up in his latest YouTube interview, adding that the blogger only cares about increasing his viewership.

On the account of Mzbel, she has never wronged the popular blogger who used to be on her payroll, however he seizes every opportunity to use the Mzbel brand in promoting his content regardless of the damage it does to her.

“How could you have interviewed Afia Schwarzenegger considering the insults she rained on you? She disrespected and said bitter things about the mother of your child, Mina. You came out crying and promised never to interview her but because you want to live a lifestyle you can’t afford, you are here going against your words.

“You used to be on my payroll…You had to mention my name just to get views just for money. Why are you like that, why do you keep doing that?…you don’t value relationships…I don’t want to say much about you because I respect the mother of your child, Mina…when you had nothing, it was Mina who was supporting you…did I ever offend you? Afia wouldn’t have insulted me if you never asked her questions about me,” the singer lamented

She however blamed Zionfelix for being the cause of their beautiful relationship because he opened the door and allowed another lady into their relationship.

Minalyn also revealed that Zionfelix impregnating Erica wasn’t a mistake but rather was premeditated.

Well, Mina has allegedly rekindled her old relationship with Zionflelix.

Ghanaian American-based socialite Achipalago recently called out blogger Zionfelix for misrepresenting his words in a video.

In a social media post, Achipalago expressed his frustration and disappointment at the blogger, labeling him a “fool” for misinterpreting that the car he drove was his.

The video in question features Achipalago sitting in a car and talking about the luxurious lifestyle of some Ghanaian celebrities.

In the video, Achipalago mentions a specific car and says, “This is what some of these celebrities are driving.” However, he never explicitly states that the car belongs to him.

She was singing worship songs and praying the whole time I was in labour,” she stated in an interview with Zionfelix.

  • Zionfelix incurs the wrath of Shatta Wale again

When news of Mona4Reall’s arrest went rife, Ghanaian blogger, Felix Adomako popularly known as Zionfelix, was part of the bloggers to first share the information with headlines projecting ‘fraud’ as the reason she was apprehended.

Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale, Mona’s closest friend, was displeased with this development and he took to social media to vent.

Mona Faiz Montrage popularly known as Mona4Reall was purportedly arrested on November 11, 2022, in connection with a US$8million alleged fraud.

It has been alleged that the popular Socialite had been on ‘red list’ in the USA for a while now and her arrest was a joint operation between the security agencies of both countries (US and UK).

The reports, although unconfirmed, have sparked uproar on social media with netizens eager to ascertain the fact of the issue.

A displeased Shatta Wale who has been enraged by the numerous unconfirmed reports making rounds on social media, took to his Facebook wall to attack Ghanaian bloggers, particularly Zionfelix.

Describing him as a lazy blogger who fails to research issues before hurriedly publishing them, Shatta ordered for the story to be pulled down.

He also threatened to arrest Zionfelix if he fails to heed the order.

“ZionFelix, I didn’t ask you to blog about news you didn’t research about. Please drop that shit down about “MONA 4 Reall” otherwise ago make Ghana police deal with you! “As for that Zion guy, I don’t even want to hear about him. I know this because I am on the field. The whole of Ghana, he writes the worst stories about me. He doesn’t respect me and my hustle,” Shatta told Paul Adom Otchere.

  • ‘Zionfelix doesn’t respect Mina’ – Mzbel

Popular Ghanaian blogger, ZionFelix seem to have lost the friendly relationship that once existed between himself and musician cum entrepreneur Mzbel, all because of the treatment he’s meted out to Mina, one of his baby mama.

Speaking in an interview on “Move with SammyKay” Mzbel indicated that ZionFelix is making people portray the “Minalyn Touch” owner as a bad person and that hurts her because Mina is a very humble, quiet and sweet lady who always wants peace around her yet ZionFelix doesn’t defend her when she’s been dragged on social media.

Mzbel, however, stated that if only Mina had listened to her advice, she wouldn’t find herself in the situation she is now and that is because ZionFelix does not respect her as a woman.

According to her if Zion accords Mina some level of respect, he would have hidden his relationship with the other lady from Mina but he did not.

The vociferous Mzbel also added that due to her special attachment to Mina and how pained she feels for her troubled emotions because of Zion’s attitude towards her, she no longer talks to Mina anymore.

Mzbel described ZionFelix as a selfish person who only thinks about himself.
