India makes a historic landing close to the south pole of the Moon

India has successfully landed its Moon mission in the southern part of the Moon, making it the first country to accomplish this.

India has now become one of the few countries to gently land on the Moon, following the United States, the former Soviet Union, and China.

The Vikram lander from Chandrayaan-3 landed as scheduled at 6:04 pm local time (12:34 pm GMT).

People all over the country are celebrating, and the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, said that “India has reached the Moon. ”

We have achieved what no other country has been able to. “It’s a happy event,” he said. Modi was watching the event on TV from South Africa. He is there for the Brics summit.

India has succeeded just a few days after Russia’s spacecraft Luna-25 lost control and crashed into the Moon.

The accident also highlighted the challenge of landing in the region of the south pole. The ground there is very rough and has lots of holes and big rocks.

India tried to send a spacecraft to land on the moon for the second time in 2019, but it didn’t work. The part of the spacecraft that was supposed to land and the vehicle it carried were destroyed. However, the main part of the spacecraft that stays in space managed to survive.

On Wednesday, there were intense and nerve-wracking moments before the lander, referred to as Vikram after Isro founder Vikram Sarabhai, touched down. The lander carried a 26kg rover named Pragyaan, which means wisdom in Sanskrit, inside it.

The lander’s speed slowly went down from moving very fast to almost stopping completely. This made it possible for the lander to land gently on the moon’s surface.

Scientists say that very soon, once everything has calmed down, a rover with six wheels will come out from inside the lander and explore the rocks and craters on the Moon’s surface. It will collect important information and take pictures, which will be sent back to Earth.

The main goal of the mission is to find ice made of water on the Moon. Scientists say that this ice could help humans live there someday. It could also be used to provide fuel for spaceships going to Mars and other far-away places. Scientists say that there is a large amount of surface area on the Moon that is always in darkness and this area could have a lot of frozen water.

The lander and the rover have five tools to learn about what the Moon’s surface is like, what the air above it is like, and what happens underground.

An official told the BBC that the rover has an Indian flag and Isro’s logo and emblem on its wheels. This is so that when the rover moves on the Moon, it will leave marks on the lunar soil.

Chandrayaan-3 is India’s third mission to the Moon. It aims to improve upon the achievements of past Moon missions and Isro officials believe it will lead to significant scientific discoveries.

This new mission is happening 15 years after the first mission to the Moon. The first mission found water on the Moon and showed that it has an atmosphere during the day.

Even though Chandrayaan-2 didn’t land successfully, it still has a functioning orbiter that goes around the Moon. This orbiter will assist the Vikram lander in transmitting pictures and information back to Earth for examination.

India is not the only country looking at the Moon. Many other countries are also interested in going there and have planned missions to the Moon in the near future. Scientists say there is still a lot to learn about the Moon, which is often seen as a way to explore outer space.

38-year-old electrician remanded for alleged murder of girlfriend

A 38-year-old electrician has been apprehended on charges of allegedly strangling his 20-year-old girlfriend to death. The tragic incident reportedly occurred in Kpone Bawaleshie, situated in the Greater Accra Region. The accused has been remanded by the Kaneshie District Court as investigations continue into the heart-wrenching case.

According to the prosecution’s account, Kwame Krappah, also known as Awana, allegedly used a blue nylon rope to tie and strangle his girlfriend (now deceased) by her neck from behind.

He was then alleged to have had sex with the dead body before burying it in the neighbourhood.

The accused was arraigned on a provisional charge of murder and had his plea preserved by the court pending further directives on the case docket.

The Magistrate, Her Worship Ama Ama Adomako Kwakye, adjourned the case for Krampa to reappear on September 5, 2023.

    Brief facts

It was the case of Chief Inspector Margaret O. Boadi, the prosecutor, that the complainant, Joyce Ago, was a trader, while the accused person was an electrician and also a plumber.

Chief Insp. Boadi said, both the complainant and Krappah resided at Bawaleshie, and that, the complainant was the mother of the deceased, Judith Kpeglo.

Chief Insp. Boadi said, on July 11, 2023, the deceased, who was a pupil teacher at a school at Kpone Bawaleshie, left home for work at the school but did not return.

According to the Prosecutor, on July 17, 2023, the complainant reported the missing of her daughter (deceased) to the Police and upon intelligence led to the arrest of Krampah, who was the deceased’s boyfriend.

The Prosecutor said investigations discovered that on July 11, 2023, at about 2:00 pm, the deceased left the school to buy food and went to the accused person’s house to eat it.

She said the deceased, after eating, requested GH¢200 from the accused to braid her hair, and he (accused) gave it to her.

Chief Insp. Boadi said that after she was done eating, the deceased told Krappah that she was going back to the school, and without any provocation, Krappah attacked the deceased from behind with a blue nylon rope and strangled her.

The Prosecutor said that on the same day, at about 10:00 p.m., Krappah dug a grave on a nearby plot and buried the deceased.

The prosecutor said Krappah admitted the offense and led the Police to the spot where he allegedly buried the deceased.

He said an order was obtained from a court, and the body was exhumed and deposited at the Police Hospital Mortuary for preservation and autopsy.

Church of a well-known Kenyan televangelist given reprieve

A court in Kenya has reversed its decision to revoke the license of a church owned by Pastor Ezekiel Odero, a renowned TV preacher.

The Prayer Centre and Church in Kilifi is very popular and draws many people to worship there.

Justice Jairus Ngaah stated that it was a short-term break while they investigated if the authorities followed the law when they cancelled its license in May.

Pastor Odero kept preaching even though the Registrar of Societies said he shouldn’t.

The government took away the Kilifi-based church’s permission to operate while they look into the pastor’s connection with a controversial cult leader named Paul Mackenzie Nthenge.

The police have kept Pastor Mackenzie in custody since April because they believe he told his followers not to eat, causing hundreds of them to pass away.

Pastor Odero, who was arrested in April but released on bail, says he has nothing to do with the starvation cult and strongly disagrees with its beliefs.

His lawyers told the court that the New Life Prayer Centre and Church, along with its businesses, were very important for the economy of Kilifi because they provide jobs for 8,000 people.

  • Minority urges immediate review of GNPC-GENSER agreement for enhanced transparency

Minority urges immediate review of GNPC-GENSER agreement for enhanced transparency

Parliament’s minority has demanded an urgent revision of the agreement between the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) and GENSER.

They state that the aim of this reconsideration is to create equal opportunities for all participants in the industry and guarantee transparent gas pricing in Ghana.

In a statement dated August 23, 2023, and signed by the Deputy Minority Leader, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, indicated that the call for a thorough review is rooted in several key concerns raised by the minority side of parliament.

They based their argument on the lack of transparency, the shift from Ghana Gas Company and unexplained discounts.

“The Minority Group is concerned that the agreement combines the Gas Sales Agreement (GSA) and the Gas Transmission Agreement (GTA), which does not ensure transparency in the pricing of gas.

“The shifting of the agreement from Ghana Gas company and the signing of the agreement by GNPC when Ghana Gas is supposed to be the national gas transmission utility.

“The discount given to GENSER by GNPC for the gas transmission agreement and GNPC’s inability to satisfactorily explain how this discount will be recovered,” parts of the statement read.

The minority also commended the timely intervention of the speaker of parliament, Alban Bagbin, for directing the Finance Committee to collaborate with the Mines and Energy Committee to address the concerns of the agreement.

“We appreciate the timely intervention by the Rt. Hon. Speaker to rope in the finance committee to work jointly with the Mines and Energy Committee to deal with these outstanding issues to ensure that Ghana is not shortchanged.

“The Minority believes that the issues are now appropriately presented before Parliament and demand thorough appraisal,” the statement added.

In light of their concerns, the Minority Caucus has requested an urgent meeting convened by the chairpersons of the Finance and Energy Committees to address the Speaker’s referral.

They have assured Ghanaians that they are committed to protecting the trust bestowed upon them.

“It is, therefore, unfortunate that the Chairman of the Mines and Energy Committee rushed with the report to the public domain while a new referral was pending. Transparency and accountability should be the guiding principles in this process, especially as any premature public statements can potentially compromise the integrity of the new referral which is in the pipeline.

“On behalf of the Minority colleagues on the joint committee of Finance and Mines and Energy, we pledge to unravel all the flaws in the agreement to guarantee value for money. We take this position with a firm conviction that the heart and soul of Ghana’s future lies in our energy security and all the critical issues related to it, including transparent gas pricing,” the statement included.

This comes after the Ghana Gas Senior Staff Association refused to accept the report from the Parliamentary Committee on Mines and Energy on a gas supply agreement between Ghana National Petroleum Authority (GNPC) and Genser Energy Ghana Limited.

    Background:

The Parliamentary Select Committee on Mines and Energy endorsed the agreement between the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) and Genser Energy Ghana Limited.

In a report sighted by GhanaWeb, the committee outlined eleven reasons why it believes the deal will serve the interest of GNPC and Ghana.

The committee also said that it found no evidence of any losses from a deal between the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) and Genser Energy Ghana Limited (GEGL)

The investigation was initiated in response to claims made by the African Centre for Energy Policy (ACEP) and the IMANI Center for Policy and Education in July 2022 alleging incorrectly that the deal incurred a loss of $1.5 billion for the nation. The Committee’s report instead found benefits for Ghana far exceeding that sum.

The ACEP and IMANI reports raised concerns over a Gas Sales Agreement (GSA) between GNPC and Genser Energy Ghana Limited (GEGL), asserting that Ghana stood to lose the “whopping and galactic sum of $1.5 billion” due to this arrangement.

The allegations raised by ACEP and IMANI claimed GNPC sold gas to Genser at significantly reduced rates compared to its purchase price, resulting in a perceived subsidy.

Following an 11-month-long investigation, the Parliamentary Committee has refuted the claims made by ACEP and IMANI, stating that the GSA is not a “sweetheart contract.”

The Committee found the computation methods used by ACEP and IMANI faulty. The CSOs calculated a hypothetical loss based on the contractual sum of $2.79/MMBtu. But that price reflects offsets from a capacity charge of $3.29/MMBtu.

The Committee found the arrangement much to the Nation’s benefit, presenting 11 key economic advantages associated with the deal ranging from energy security to job creation; from the development of future industries to foreign direct investment.

Nii Okai outlined the events planned for the 20th anniversary of his iconic debut album, Moko be, and recalled some special occasions that marked the early years of Ghana’s contemporary gospel music.

“Moko Be is a whole village comprising musicians, producers, singers, volunteers and partners who have and continue to believe in what The Lord has called us into and remain focused on declaring His sovereignty through our contemporary gospel music. I am humbled to have nurtured many gifted minstrels over the past two decades who are currently taking the world by storm with their music and I’m excited to share the stage with them come September 17 in Tema where it all began.”_ Nii said

The majority of the performers on the bill have worked with Nii Okai since the release of his debut album, including Joe Mettle, Koda, Eugene Zuta, MOGmusic, Kofi Karikari, Naa Mercy, David Osabutey, Lordina the Soprano, and many others.

“I had the opportunity to work with KODA who eventually introduced me officially to Ataa Nii Okai. I had the opportunity to join the Moko Be launch on 24th December 2003, and from then on to be part of team Virtue. Having the opportunity to be close to the vessel of God impacted my christian growth, my ministry and my leadership development as a whole. I have been especially challenged by his love for God, his quest to bring the best out of people and his visionary leadership. As we celebrate 20yrs of Moko Be, I celebrate a man of God whose obedience continues to have a positive domino effect on music ministry in Ghana and beyond, and on God’s kingdom as a whole.”_ Eugene Zuta wrote.

The lead pastor of the ICGC Zoe Temple, Reverend Kojo Amo-Asare, presided over the launch event. He took the chance to welcome all patrons to Tema in general and his church in particular for the celebration concert after praising Nii Okai for his admirable example in the ministry.

Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu affirms decision not to contest Suame seat again despite pressure

Majority Leader of Parliament and the representative for the Suame Constituency, Osei-Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, has revealed that he is facing significant pressure from within the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) to run for re-election in the Suame seat.

As per the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, he continues to welcome visits from delegations representing the constituency and prominent figures of the party, all urging him to remain engaged in politics.

After an impressive record of securing victory in seven consecutive elections since 1997, the veteran lawmaker has declared his intention to retire from parliamentary duties, concluding his twenty-eight years of service in the legislature.

Speaking to Kojo Marfo on Abusua 96.5 FM in Kumasi, the legislator disclosed that stalwarts of the party keep knocking on his doors pleading with him to continue representing the constituency and the party in parliament.

“They keep coming to me to say that my experience, years of knowledge, and longevity demands that I contest the seat again,” he disclosed.

The Suame Legislator however insisted he stands by his word to stay out of November’s parliamentary primaries of the NPP.

“I said it yesterday and I am saying it now that I will not contest for the Suame Seat again,” he contended.

The MP who has risen through the ranks of parliamentary leadership having served in seven parliaments further disclosed that several persons were beckoning him to accept a proposal for lobbyists to begin rallying support for an Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu running mate ticket.

He told Kwadwo Marfo that “Kwame Mpiani once said anyone who joins the police wants to be an IGP.

“Even in 2016, people came to me when I was supporting Nana Addo’s bid to begin lobbying for the running mate slot. They were ready to mobilize funds for me but I asked them to rather deploy their efforts to mobilize the funds for the presidential bid of Nana Akufo Addo.”

“Till now people still come to me. They tell me I have the experience and knowledge required to become the running mate of any flagbearer,” he further stated.

Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu has declared his unflinching support for the flag bearer bid of the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia whom he argues has contributed in phenomenal dimensions to the party and country.

Saturday’s Special Super Delegates Conference will determine the final five of ten candidates to contest November’s ultimate flag bearer race for the party’s 2024 presidential candidate.

  • Trump co-defendants in Georgia election case start to give up

Trump co-defendants in Georgia election case start to give up

Four individuals who are believed to have collaborated with former President Donald Trump in an attempt to invalidate his loss in the Georgia 2020 election have surrendered to the authorities.

Lawyer John Eastman and Scott Hall, a bail bondsman from Georgia, turned themselves in to the authorities on Tuesday.

Former Georgia Republican Party Chairman David Shafer and another person named Cathy Latham surrendered themselves to authorities at the beginning of Wednesday.

MrTrump has announced that he will give up on Thursday afternoon.

He is accused of 13 crimes, such as organized crime and interfering in elections.

On Wednesday, Mr. Trump posted on his social media site, Truth Social, that he would surrender himself on Thursday afternoon.

Trump has been a strong advocate for making sure that elections are fair and free from any kind of manipulation or fraud. Nobody before him has put in as much effort and determination to protect the integrity of our election process. Trump is the last name of a person. “I will be willingly taken into custody tomorrow afternoon,” he wrote.

Last week, the district attorney’s office in Fulton County accused the former president and 18 of his supporters of trying to change the outcome of the election in the state.

The prosecutors want the defendants to turn themselves in and go to the Atlanta jail by Friday at noon.

Prosecutors believe that Mr Eastman, who is 63 years old, is an important person involved in the plan to interfere with the 2020 election outcomes.

The California law professor helped Mr. Trump in a court case to change the outcome of the election in four states that he lost to President Joe Biden in 2020.

On Tuesday, he got out of jail after paying $100,000 (£78,500) and spending a few hours inside.

He was then asked outside court if he still thought that the 2020 election had been unfairly taken from him. “He said without a doubt, he will fight against every charge in the accusation with determination. ”

The person who lends money to help people get out of jail in Atlanta is accused of doing something wrong with the voting system in Coffee County in January 2021. He has been charged with seven crimes related to this.

MrHall was the first person in the Georgia case to surrender himself to the authorities. He and the other people who gave themselves up had pictures taken by the police and put on the Fulton County website very quickly.

MrTrump is also supposed to have his photograph taken when he is brought to the Fulton County Jail.

One of the people being accused, Mark Meadows, who used to work in the White House, asked a judge to make a decision right away about moving his case from Fulton County to a federal court. He also requested that the judge give him an order that would protect him from being arrested in Georgia.

The request to delay Mr. Meadows’ arrest was denied by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis. This led to the filing of charges against Mr. Willis sent an email saying that Mr. Meadows is just like any other person accused of a crime in this area.

Former justice department official Jeffrey Clark also made a similar request before. Lawyers for both men have said that the federal court system should handle their alleged actions because they were federal officials when they were supposedly involved in the case.

  • Rev Opuni-Frimpong labels Osafo-Maafo’s ‘corruption cry’ as ‘a political sound bite’

Rev Opuni-Frimpong labels Osafo-Maafo’s ‘corruption cry’ as ‘a political sound bite’

Former General Secretary of the Christian Council of Ghana, Rev Kwabena Opuni-Frimpong, has labeled Yaw Osafo Maafo’s appeal for Christians to take the lead in combating corruption as a “political catchphrase.”

Rev Opuni-Frimpong’s comment comes after the Senior Presidential Advisor expressed concern over the escalating issue of corruption in the nation. He emphasizes the need for both the church and government to engage in self-examination and collaborate on implementing effective measures to curb this problem.

Speaking at the 23rd General Meeting of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana in Kwahu Abetifi, Eastern Region, on Saturday, August 19, 2023, Yaw Osafo-Maafo raised concerns about the effectiveness of the Church’s moral influence on the 70% of Ghanaians who identify as Christians. But, Rev Opuni disagrees.

Speaking on Morning Starr with Naa Dedei Tettey Wednesday, August 23, 2023, Rev Opuni stated that politicians are rather benefiting from the nation through corruption.

“I think corruption on the side of State institutions, the government, and then the Church. The church and their Christian education and worship that they have. Let me start with the side of the government that past and present governments have not proved to anybody that they are serious with the corruption fight.

“They have just made the corruption fight a political sound bite. They are all benefiting from it. Now going into politics has become business. They are all milking the nation. Therefore, if I found the government official just doing this when I heard it in the room. It sounds like a cliché,” Rev. Opuni stated.

However, Mr. Yaw Osafo-Maafo also indicated that said the seriousness of the graft menace required stakeholders particularly the church and government to go back to the drawing board.

“I think we need to go back and visit the drawing board to see what we should do as a Christian group to influence the behavior of the system, is it that your preaching, your moral lessons are now not effective? We should ask a few questions, if indeed 70% of us are Christians and corruption begins to go from bad to worse what is really happening we need to do some retrospection and as a country together with the government take certain actions to redeem the nation from corruption,” he added.

Kenya to start polio immunisation programme after receiving positive confirmation of cases

Kenya is scheduled to begin the process of administering polio vaccinations on 24 August, few weeks after polio cases were found in the northeastern part of the country.

The vaccination campaign is aimed at 7. 4 million young children (aged below five). It will focus on 10 counties that are at high risk, including Garissa county where the recent outbreak occurred.

Dr Patrick Amoth, Kenya’s health director-general, said in a meeting with the media that around 3% of children in Kenya have not received the polio vaccine.

In 2014, Kenya got rid of wild poliovirus, which is the main type of polio.

But in July, the World Health Organization (WHO) said that Kenya is at a high risk of having vaccine-derived polio. This is a type of poliovirus that affects communities with low rates of vaccination.

WHO said that the risk of polio in Kenya is highest in the refugee camps. These camps are often very crowded and have bad sanitation. Many people there also suffer from malnutrition and move frequently to and from Somalia, where polio has been spreading recently because of the polio vaccine.

The national vaccination program aims to make vaccines easier to get and increase the number of people in Kenya getting vaccinated for polio.

  • Police engage Minority on BoG demo

Police engage Minority on BoG demo

Members of Parliament (MPs) on the Minority side have interacted with the Greater Accra Regional Police Command in preparation for their scheduled demonstration against the Bank of Ghana (BoG) Governor and his two deputies.

This engagement happened on Wednesday, August 23, 2023.

The planned protest, set to take place on Tuesday, September 5, stems from their call for the immediate resignation of the Governor and his deputies of the Bank of Ghana due to the financial losses incurred by the central bank in the year 2022.

In light of this, the NDC Members of Parliament, led by their Deputy Leader Emmanuel Armah Kofi, convened an internal meeting with the Police to discuss and finalize the logistics for the upcoming protest.

Following the aforementioned meeting, Armah Kofi Buah addressed the press, stating that all essential preparations have been finalized to ensure a smooth and effective demonstration.

According to them, their demonstrations are based on the central bank’s illegal printing of over GHC80 billion to the Akufo-Addo government.

“We write in line with sections,1 2&3 of the Public Order Act 1994 (Act 491), to notify you of an impending public protest to be embarked upon by the Minority in Parliament in collaboration with Civil Society Organizations, Progressive Forces and other well-meaning Ghanaians.”

“The purpose of this protest is to express our revulsion against the illegal printing of money (about GH¢ 80 billion) between 2021 and 2022 by BOG for the corrupt Akufo-Addo/Bawumia/NPP government which led to a hyper-inflation rate of 54.1% in December 2022,” excerpts of the letter said.

According to them, this conduct by the BoG has pushed some 850,000 Ghanaians into poverty.

“This singular act of BOG has negatively impacted livelihoods and businesses and pushed about 850,000 Ghanaians into poverty in the year 2022 alone.”

“As representatives of the Ghanaian people, the Minority in Parliament is totally disgusted by the crass mismanagement and reckless mishandling of the affairs of the Bank of Ghana, which resulted in a gargantuan loss of GH¢60.8 billion and a negative equity of GH¢5.1 billion in 2022, with its attendant hardships on Ghanaians,” the statement added.

Meanwhile, the Governor of the Bank of Ghana (BoG), Dr Ernest Addison has explained that the central bank did not provide funding for the government until 2020 and 2022 during the COVID-19 pandemic and after investors in the capital market declined from lending to the government.

According to him, the central bank strictly adhered to the zero financing of government expenditure until the economic difficulties set in last year.

  • Israeli Arabs call for action in response to an uptick in homicides linked to organised crime

Israeli Arabs call for action in response to an uptick in homicides linked to organised crime

Israeli Arab groups are requesting an immediate gathering of the nation’s parliament to address the recent spate of killings within their community. On Tuesday, gunshots took the lives of four individuals in Abu Snan, an Arab town situated in the northern Galilee area.

Three people who were related to each other were part of the same family. One of them was running for the position of mayor in the local area.

Opposition politicians are accusing the government of not taking strong enough action against organized crime groups.

The bodies of four men were discovered in a field after paramedics reported hearing a lot of gunfire.

One of the people affected was Ghazi Saab, a 53-year-old who was supposed to declare his intention to run for mayor of Abu Snan later on the same day.

The rest of the people were his nephews, Zaher al-Din Saab who is 45 years old, and Amir Saab who is 28 years old. There was also a 66-year-old man named Salman Khalab from a town called Yarka nearby.

A relative of Ghazi Saab mentioned to Haaretz newspaper that he used to work as a high-ranking officer in the Israeli Border Police and also had his own business. The cousin also emphasized that their entire family has a good reputation. “They said that he was one of five people who were running for council head, but they don’t think it has any connection. ”

A police representative also mentioned that there is no proof yet linking Mr. Saab’s campaign to the murder.

A news article from Haaretz said that a Palestinian man who was 18 years old was stabbed and killed near the town of Lakiya.

The police believe that the murder of Majid Faisal Dais, who was from the occupied West Bank, was done by a criminal with bad intentions.

On Monday night, Abdul Rahman Kashua, who was the leader of the central town of Tira, was killed by a gunshot near the main building of the town and a police station.

It is thought that the killings are linked to criminal groups within the Israeli Arab community. The community is shocked by the increasing number of murders, affecting about two million people.

Around 160 people have been killed just this year. This is already 40% higher than the total number reported in 2022 by the Abraham Initiatives, a group that works towards equal treatment of Israeli Arabs and Jews.

One political party, called the Arab Movement for Renewal (Taal), wants the Israeli authorities to take immediate action. Many people believe that the state is not properly representing and policing its citizens.

The politics related to resolving the problem are becoming more heated.

A top opposing Member of Parliament accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of giving control of the police to Itamar Ben-Gvir, who is known for his extreme right-wing views and discrimination against Arabs.

Former Defence Minister Benny Gantz said that the Arab society is facing a serious problem, and the prime minister is not taking any meaningful actions to resolve it.

Mr Netanyahu’s office stated that the prime minister was gathering his group of government officials to handle the situation.

He said that the murder of Abdul Rahman Kashua was really bad and promised to do everything he could, even with the help of the Shin Bet security service, to stop this crime.

“We have gotten rid of criminal groups in the Jewish community in Israel, and we will also get rid of criminal groups in the Arab community in Israel,” he said.

Mr Ben-Gvir made a long statement on Wednesday saying that he believes the violence is caused by certain groups in the Arab community, and that eventually these groups will direct their anger towards the State of Israel.

He said again that suspects should be kept in prison without a trial, and he wants the Shin Bet to find and stop organized crime. This means watching Arab citizens who are suspected of committing crimes. It is a very controversial idea that has been refused in the past.

Israeli Arabs, who may also prefer to be called Palestinian citizens of Israel, comprise about 1/5th of the total population of Israel.

In theory, they should have the same rights as Jewish citizens, but they often complain about being treated unfairly by the government.

Sammi Awuku dares Dr Afriyie Akoto to provide list of contractors who are not being paid by govt

Former National Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammi Awuku, has called on flagbearer contender Dr Afriyie Akoto to provide the public with a list of contractors who, in his view, are not receiving payment from the government.

Sammi Awuku expressed his astonishment at the remarks made by the ex-Minister of Food and Agriculture, in which he alleged that the government was neglecting contractors who have openly shown their allegiance to him.

His statement follows Dr Afriyie Akoto’s comments in which he criticized the government for failing to compensate contractors who are recognized for backing his aspiration as the prospective flagbearer of the NPP.

Speaking in an interview with Oyerepa TV on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, the former National Organizer of the NPP challenged Dr Afriyie Akoto to release the list of contractors who have not been paid for declaring support for him.

“When it comes to campaign issues of this sort, it is beyond me. First of all, I don’t know the particular contractors. secondly, I don’t work at the Ministry of Finance. I don’t want to believe Dr. Afriyie Akoto said that [ gov’t not saying contractors supporting him]. I don’t have knowledge about what he said. I can’t verify that there are contractors who are not being paid because of him.

“In any case, do we have a list of Dr. Afriyie Akoto’s contractors? or a list of Kennedy Agyapong or Dr. Bawumia’s contractors? So I want to see the list and follow up to find out why there are contractors for Alan, Dr. Bawumia, or Dr. Afriyie Akoto who have not been paid. With this, I am unable to find out because I don’t know where to tackle it. So maybe when I meet my uncle, Dr. Afriyie Akoto, I will ask for the details of the contractors and follow up with him. Once again, I do not want to believe he ever said that,” Sammi Awuku said in Twi on Oyerepa TV.

    Background

Former Minister of Food and Agriculture, Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto
New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer hopeful, Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto, has slammed the leadership of the party for failing to get a grip of happenings in the race to choose the party’s presidential candidate for 2024 elections.

Speaking in a JoyNews interview, Dr Afriyie Akoto, a former Minister of Food and Agriculture, accused the party’s leadership of being partial in dealing with persons flouting the roles of the party; adding that the happenings in the campaign for the primaries tells that there is no discipline in the NPP.

He said that while top officials of the party and the government are declaring their support for a certain contender without consequences, persons declaring their support for him and the other candidates are being punished.

He alleged the contractors who are declaring their support for some of the candidates in the race are being denied payment.

“There is some sort of force being used – intimidation… those contractors who do not seem to be for this candidate are not paid when they complete their jobs. And they have taken huge sums of money from the banks and the interest rates are 35%, 40%. They are not paid and are being punished for supporting someone else.”

“But if somebody has done a job or a contract with the government, and they are not paid, while those who declare for that particular candidate are paid,” he said.

  • Matthew Hudson-Smith targets gold in the wake of European record

Matthew Hudson-Smith targets gold in the wake of European record

Matthew Hudson-Smith is feeling confident because he recently achieved a European record and his main competitor is experiencing bad luck. With a recent European record under his belt and his top challenger going through a streak of misfortune, Matthew Hudson-Smith is filled with self-assurance.

The person from Britain, who won third place in the global competition last year, came in second place during the qualifying round for Thursday’s 400m final in Budapest. They achieved their best personal time of 44. 26

During that time, a 28-year-old person broke the European record that was previously held by German Thomas Schonlebe for 36 years.

Hudson-Smith said, “I will feel happy once I receive that medal. ” Regarding the record, it has been completed.

The two-time European champion has a lot more potential and opportunities ahead.

As Hudson-Smith was leading the race and getting ahead of his competitors, he quickly looked at both sides and then slowed down as he won his semi-final in a very impressive way.

Once I knew I had secured a spot in the final, there was no need to exert more energy before competing for my first global title. My coach advised me to run 300 meters and complete the task. “After I felt sure, I kept something for the end,” he said.

I did it. I only want to get the medal now.

Hudson-Smith said: “Beforehand, my coach told me to have fun. ” He asked if I have done this before and if I think I deserve to be here. I have worked very hard and I am happy to have made it to the final. My goal now is to win a medal on Thursday.

During the next race, something terrible happened to the Olympic champion Steven Gardiner.

The person who won the world championship in 2019 couldn’t protect his title last year because of an injury. During his championships, he had to stop suddenly and fell down on the track before finishing.

It was expected that the Bahamian athlete would easily move forward from his semi-final, but since he is not there, anyone has a chance to win a medal now.

Jamaican runner Antonio Watson ran his fastest time ever, finishing in 44. 13 He finished first in the race, beating Hudson-Smith by a very small margin of 0. 005 seconds, who was slightly faster than American runner Vernon Norwood.

In the final, Wayde van Niekerk from South Africa ran the fastest time this year, which is a world record of 44. 08

The person who won the world championship two times is now being followed by Watson, Hudson-Smith, and Norwood after they did well in the semi-finals.

Hudson-Smith said that winning the bronze medal last year was just the start for him after getting his first individual medal in a competition that involved participants from all over the world.

What is now obvious is that he has a very good chance of becoming the world 400m champion in Thursday’s final at 20:35 BST.

Michael Johnson, who has won six major 400m championships, said on BBC TV: “Hudson-Smith is running his race perfectly. ”

His new coach, Gary Evans, is a completely different experience for him and has had a big impact on how he runs.

He is doing a great job at running. He completed his first 100m in 10. 97 seconds, which means he started the race quickly. Then, he could calm down and return home feeling powerful.

Talking about whether Hudson-Smith could run the final race in less than 44 seconds, Johnson said, “I believe he could do it. ”

This track is very quick and the athletes are reacting to it. We have seen the best performances in competitions and personal improvements.
Which sports events can Great Britain still win medals in?

Great Britain won three medals at the World Championships. Katarina Johnson-Thompson won a gold medal in the heptathlon. Zharnel Hughes won a bronze medal in the men’s 100m race. They also won a silver medal in the mixed 4x400m relay.

Hudson-Smith is not the only athlete from Britain who has the chance to win a medal in the upcoming days of the championships. The team aims to win more than the seven medals they won in Eugene in 2022.

On Wednesday, a group of athletes including Hughes, the 2019 champion Dina Asher-Smith, Daryll Neita, and Bianca Williams will start competing in the 200-meter races. They will participate in the heats in preparation for the finals on Friday.

Neil Gourley and Josh Kerr will try to get in the top three in the men’s 1500m final on Wednesday. Max Burgin, Ben Pattison, and Daniel Rowden will compete in the men’s 800m semi-finals on Thursday.

Keely Hodgkinson, who won silver in the Olympics and World Championships, will start her journey to win the gold medal for the women’s 800m. She is competing with her teammates Jemma Reekie and Isabelle Boffey in the heats on Wednesday. The final race will happen on Sunday.

Morgan Lake is trying to make it to the high jump final on Sunday. The qualification round for the final is on Friday. Apart from that, there are also opportunities to win medals in the 4x100m and 4x400m relays.

  • Data Commission cautions organisations against flouting Data Protection Act

Data Commission cautions organisations against flouting Data Protection Act

Ghana’s Data Protection Commission has initiated a vigorous enforcement of the Data Protection Act 2012 (Act 843) in August 2023, signaling potential trouble ahead for data controllers and business entities that fail to adhere to the regulations.

This action was prompted by the observation of the Ghana Data Commission, which noted a prevalent disregard for the Data Protection Act among business organizations in the country. The aim is to ensure that customer information is securely managed without compromising privacy.

The Data Protection Act defines lawful processing, exempt processing, and delineates the responsibilities and obligations of data controllers, data processors, the Data Commissioner, and data subjects.

It balances the need to ensure privacy rights with the rights of the State to remain inviolable, maintain law and order, function effectively, and protect its citizens effectively.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Information Governance Solutions (IGS), Sylvia Appiah, in light of this, has admonished data controllers and business organizations to prioritize fulfilling data protection requirements to avoid incurring losses.

According to Sylvia Appiah, for business organizations to thrive, there is a need to acquire the requisite skills in managing and protecting the information of customers.

The CEO of Information Governance Solutions called on organizations to reach out to her outfit for the training of practitioners and registration in data protection because they have been certified by the Data Commission in Ghana.

“In data compliance, the first thing to do is to register and we [Information Governance Solutions] can help you go through the process to ensure the data is secured and transferred in the appropriate manner.

“I will urge all controllers to contact us and register the information to start the journey of compliance. Data protection agents are in shortage globally. So in conjunction with the data protection commission, we offer certified practitioner training to organizations. We also offer data protection supervisors where we train them with the needed skills for data protection supervision,” she said.

Sylvia Appiah further stressed the significance of Data protection in organizations and how it contributes to the success of their goals.

“Data Protection is a law that is meant to protect every individual and therefore cannot be over-stressed that any business or country cannot exist without data protection. Every organization needs information about customers, clients, members, and patients in the hospital, and therefore the information given to the organization is paramount,” Sylvia Appiah added.

Pieter is leaving Middlesex and he has made lots of friends. We hope he does well in the future, and we are pretty sure it won’t be long until he is playing for Boland again.

  • How a girl escaped early marriage to became 1st female SRC president

How a girl escaped early marriage to became 1st female SRC president

Ghana Institute of Journalism’s first female Student Representative Council (SRC) president, Fati Ali, has etched her name in the annals of history as the very first female to assume the coveted position.

Her remarkable journey is not just about breaking glass ceilings but dismantling entire barriers that have long limited women’s roles in leadership within the university landscape.

In an interaction with Ghanaweb, she recalled how, like all her older sisters, she was headed into marriage after senior high school, until her brother took a gamble on her life.

Facing a recurring family pattern, particularly among women, Fati Ali made a resolute decision that she would break away from it, even though she was uncertain about the precise path to achieve this change.

Emerging as the initial female to progress from high school to the university, she realized that she needed to demonstrate more than just that achievement. Consequently, even though it wasn’t her original intention, she developed a strong fascination for student politics.

Speaking with the host of Say It Loud on GhanaWeb TV, Etsey Atisu, following her historic achievement, Fati Ali said in her early days at GIJ, she was a rather reserved person, but she never stopped observing things.

“When I came to GIJ, in the first two semesters, I was very quiet and not really involved in student politics, but I was observing and realized the students were losing faith in the SRC and that there were many things that needed to be corrected… I realized things were not the way they were supposed to be.

“So, I started championing, in my own corner, however I could help my colleagues – however I could help my colleagues and juniors, because I believe development is collective, so, if you sit in your corner and expect it to happen, it won’t,” she said.

Fati Ali said that her story, which inspires her, pushed her to offer help in whatever ways she could.

She told Etsey Atisu that while at that, she was unconsciously preparing herself for political office, albeit unintentionally. ‘

She also stated that her own story inspires her.

“My story inspires me that I’ve found a way to connect it to the GIJ story. That, regardless of my background, I persevered and I got here. In first year, an aspirant approached me to be his running mate but I wasn’t too sure, so, I backed off but I helped in my own way. And that was when I started understanding the ecosystem; understanding certain things, and I realized there was a lot to be done because the students had lost faith in the SRC.

“In democracy, every faction should have a voice, and in our case, the SRC, and if the students are losing interest, who is going to have the voice; who are you going to advocate for? I started helping in my own way, but still aiming for a presidential portfolio was not in my mind. I didn’t even have the aim to contest for a portfolio, but I was just interested in helping… because I believe that you don’t need a portfolio to serve; you don’t need to have a title to lead or serve people,” she added.

Fati added that while the process was not easy, she was determined.

“But as the going got tough, I realised that sometimes, when you have the portfolio, it makes it easier to make certain conversations and negotiations. So, I made up my mind to contest for the presidency,” she added.

  • Destooled Abuontemhene reportedly referred to Police for investigation

Destooled Abuontemhene reportedly referred to Police for investigation

It appears the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has not relented in his unwavering determination to root out corruption among particular chiefs in his region.

The Asantehene recently sanctioned a number of chiefs over various offenses including fraud and involvement in galamsey, by destooling them.

Otumfuo has taken the sanctions further by referring to a chief who has been cited for fraud to the police.

The predicament of Nana Kwaku Duah III, the deposed Chief of Abuontem, seems to be worsening, as he is the chief in focus who has been referred to the police for potential prosecution due to his engagement in multiple land sales.

Following extensive discussions on the issue, in which Nana Kwaku Duah III was given ample time to present his perspective and request leniency, he was ultimately pronounced guilty. As a result, he was swiftly dethroned and deprived of all privileges as per Asante tradition.

Having completed the customary procedures regarding the Chief’s predicament, Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II instructed that he be handed over to the police. This action was taken to enable his prosecution for his involvement in the various land sales.

The Asantehene appears to have initiated a campaign to address chiefs within his realm who are involved in actions that are either culturally inappropriate or against the law.

Several chiefs have suffered consequences for one act or another recently, especially with regard to land sales.

  • How to build wealth in your 20s

How to build wealth in your 20s

Do not put off wealth-building until later in life. Building wealth in your twenties is one of the simplest ways to achieve early retirement if that is your goal.

Because you are constantly learning from your mistakes and applying them to every financial decision you make, your 20s are the best years to establish your financial foundation with the least amount of risk or downside. Your financial experiences during this time are crucial in assisting you in identifying your personal financial style.

Building wealth in your 20s does not have to be difficult, but it also will not be a quick way to get rich. This article aims to convince you that utilising your 20s wisely while avoiding the urge to make quick cash can put you on a quick but responsible path to wealth.

8 best ways to build wealth in your 20s

    1. Job experiences

You see, the only way to avoid having wealth without working is if you were born into a trust fund. Your 20s are the ideal time to try as many opportunities as you can because you need to work to put money in your pocket. Even though you will not like them all, your earnings will eventually increase. With every chance you are given, your earning potential increases and you gain new skill sets that will help you advance up your professional ladder.

    2. Multiple streams of income

Finding a job that pays all of your bills while you are gaining experience might not be simple. To be honest, having a single salary is not recommended, even if you find one. begin a side business. Start a side business, tutor, or freelance. Create a second source of income that does not require your constant presence by doing whatever honourable thing is required.

    3. Live on a budget

One of the key steps to acquiring early wealth is budgeting your expenses. Among other tactics, you can use the 50/30/20 rule and the 70/20/20 rule. Following these tips will teach you to budget your money and prevent you from going overboard just because you have a new paycheck coming in. Living within your means is a key component of building wealth in your twenties.

    4. Investments

Most investments can be started without needing millions of cedis. You can begin modestly and build up as your income increases. Additionally, investing earlier in life rather than delaying it will increase your earnings over time due to compounding.

    5. Cut down debt

Financing something you can not afford to buy outright, especially if it will not increase your income, is one of the most frequent reasons people get into debt. Even though you may occasionally find yourself in an unfortunate situation where you are unable to avoid loans or debts, paying them off as soon as you can will prevent you from accruing further debt. Think about applying the 20/10 rule to help you manage your debt and control your spending.

    6. Be financially literate

Without a financial understanding, you cannot earn more money. Building wealth in your 20s therefore requires having the knowledge and “street-smartness” to be able to make and manage money effectively. To assist you on your path to financial independence, read books and articles, conduct research, follow the Cowrywise blog, and other trustworthy financial resources.

    7. Build a retirement fund

Before considering having a retirement fund, you must not be very close to retiring. By then, it would almost be too late to accomplish anything significant. You can, however, envision what it would be in the following two or three decades if you start regularly setting aside a portion of your income for retirement. Sarkodie thrills audience at Minnesota in the USA

The “Shutdown All-white Invasion Concert,” organised by the multi-award-winning promoter Julian Kojo Asiedu, better known as Jagonzy in the entertainment industry, sold out the 1200-seat venue on Friday, August 18.

Sarkodie, who looked polished and prepared for the big night, did not dissapoint as he performed many hits and delighted Minnesotan fans with some strong, enthusiastic performances.

In an interview with the lead of the “Shutdown All-white Invasion Concert,” Jagonzy sai that due to the overwhelming demand for the show, he changed the venue to the Pourhouse, a 1200-capacity. He also mentioned that after switching venues from a 500 capacity to a 1200 capacity venue, the tickets for the new venue sold out in less than 3 weeks of their announcement.

Speaking about the occasion, he remarked that the Shutdown boys gave Sarkodie and the team a spectacular welcome in Minnesota prior to the sixth installment of the “Shutdown All-white Invasion Concert,” setting the stage for a successful performance.

Sarkodie was the ideal choice to headline the event because it was his first time performing in Minnesota, and the CEO of the Shutdown brand knew that Africans in Minnesota wanted to see the king, when asked why he made that decision.

The majority of Ghanaian promoters in the diaspora, including those from New York, Washington, DC, Ohio, Chicago, North Carolina, Minnesota, Dallas, Atlanta, and Canada, banded together to spread the word about our music outside of Ghana while also establishing the necessary contacts for our artists to perform on more international stages.

Since the tour was announced, the “Landlord” has been able to sell out every show and has maintained the momentum and energy throughout, which is sufficient proof that he is and has always been prepared for the big stages.

Fetish priest shoots lover, commits suicide over sex

A fetish priest who resides in the Ejisu-Juaben Municipal District of the Ashanti Region has tragically ended his own life by fatally shooting himself.

According to a report by Daily Guide, the deceased man, identified as 55-year-old Kwasi Antwi, took this drastic step following a dispute with his partner over the denial of sexual intimacy.

Kwasi Antwi was reportedly involved in a long-term romantic relationship with a woman named Ama Ataa. However, their relationship took a turn when Ama Ataa began refusing him sexual intimacy without any clear reason, which left the man perplexed.

In an attempt to address the issue, Kwasi Antwi confronted Ama Ataa under the suspicion of infidelity. During this confrontation, a heated argument erupted, leading to an unfortunate accident: Kwasi Antwi unintentionally discharged a firearm, injuring Ama Ataa.

This commotion caught the attention of local residents who gave chase to Kwasi Antwi.

In a state of panic and fearing apprehension by residents of the community, Kwasi Antwi fled into a nearby wooded area where he ultimately took his own life by shooting himself.

Fortunately, Ama Ataa survived the incident and is currently undergoing medical treatment.

  • Brandon Williams set to leave Manchester United for Championship team

Brandon Williams set to leave Manchester United for Championship team

Reports suggest that Brandon Williams is likely to leave Manchester United on loan to Ipswich Town.

It has been obvious for a while that Williams is not part of Erik ten Hag’s plans and is one of several players who are expected to leave Old Trafford before the summer transfer window ends.

After making a strong start under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in 2019, people believed the full-back would have a promising career. However, a combination of injuries and a decline in performance have hindered his progress.

He went on loan to Norwich City but it didn’t help him. Last season, he only got to play for five minutes as a substitute in the Carabao Cup game against Burnley.

Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are already chosen before the 22-year-old in the left-back position. United has been trying to sell him, and it seems like they have found a buyer.

According to Fabrizio Romano, talks between Manchester United and Ipswich are progressing well. Ipswich wants to borrow a player from Manchester United, with the option to buy him later.

Williams’ contract is ending next summer, but there is a possibility to extend it for one more year. This extension will most likely be activated before he goes to Portman Road, if the Tractor Boys decide to make the transfer permanent.

Ipswich did really well after being promoted to the Championship from League One last season. They have started the 2023/24 season excellently and are currently in first place in the Championship table, with three wins from three games.

Kieran McKenna manages them. He knows Williams well because he has worked with him for five years at Old Trafford. First, he was in charge of the under-18s team, and then he became an assistant manager for the first team under Jose Mourinho and Solskjaer.

Earlier this year, Williams got into trouble for making strange comments about Rio Ferdinand, who is a famous former player for Manchester United. This happened after Ferdinand praised Manchester City for winning three major titles in a single season.

The defender was also rumored to be joining Leeds recently. It’s a coincidence that Ipswich is playing against Leeds this weekend as they try to maintain their perfect start.

United fans are hoping that their team will play much better when they have a match against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

John Fury explains his anger following the KSI news conference brawl

John Fury says that when he got angry during the press conference on Tuesday for his son Tommy’s fight against KSI, it was not just to get attention. He also criticized both the YouTuber and Logan Paul.

There was a lot of chaos at Wembley Arena when Fury senior became very angry and started knocking over tables and kicking things. Many security guards had to hold him back as he tried to attack KSI.

Tommy, the youngest son, has revealed that his father got upset and abruptly ended the press conference because of a comment he made about the fight between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou.

When reporters asked Tommy if KSI’s comment made him angry, he replied that it was wrong for these guys to even dare to talk about top heavyweight champions.

These people are silly/stupid. Yes, they might be famous people from different countries, but they don’t have any place or reason to be involved in this boxing match. When people start boxing, they are nobody, no matter how popular they are on social media.

He said to Misfits Boxing, ‘The Hulk got angry. The Hulk turned green, he changed from David Banner to the Hulk very quickly. Hey, this is good. It’s named the entertainment industry for a specific purpose.

But John was very determined that he wasn’t pretending to be angry to promote the fight, which will happen on October 14. He continued to be angry even after he left the stage and criticized both KSI and Paul.

KSI commented on John Fury’s intense behavior, saying, “It was complete madness, total madness. ” John Fury, what a crazy person.

Sex plays a minimal role in the success of a marriage -Philipa Baafi

Famous Ghanaian gospel singer and accomplished Physician Assistant Philipa Baafi has expressed her opinion that the importance of romantic activity in a successful marriage is frequently exaggerated.

In a recent conversation on Property FM, Philipa Baafi revealed that making wise decisions and having a partner with a high level of understanding are crucial to building a successful and long-lasting marriage.

She believes that mutual understanding and carefully considered decisions, rather than sexual intimacy, are the keys to maintaining a successful marriage.

“Most often I do say that sex plays just a minimal role because after you get married you become like siblings to each other.

“The Bible says can two walk together except they agree and so how can I journey on in life if my husband doesn’t share similar ideas with me it’ll be difficult,” she stated.

Philipa shared her own experience, saying that if her husband had not been supportive of her decisions and vision, things would have been challenging.

“During courtship, I realized that my husband understood my vision because if it wasn’t so like things will be very difficult and so I made him aware of what I wanted to do.

“So the most important thing is decision making and so you have to get someone you both understand each other which is a very important aspect,”

She continued; “Though the beauty of the person counts and the other things you want to consider but they’re secondary but understanding each other is primary,” Philipa Baafi ended.

See lovely photos of Princess Charlotte’s endearing moments with her dad

Prince William and Princess Charlotte have a close and unbreakable father-daughter connection.

The Prince of Wales and his sole daughter collaborated on a unique video message to convey their best wishes to England’s women’s soccer team ahead of the World Cup during the weekend. This provided a recent insight into their intimate bond. Although the anticipated match didn’t conclude as desired for William, aged 41, and Charlotte, aged 8, with Spain triumphing over England by a score of 1 to 0, the video snippet underscored their remarkable harmony.

Echoing their previous expressions of support for Team England (affectionately known as the Lionesses) during the Euro 2020 finals last year, the father and daughter were captured in a similar scene. They were seated in proximity on a garden bench, with Prince William tenderly placing his arm around Princess Charlotte, who was holding a soccer ball.

“Lionesses want to wish you a huge good luck for tomorrow. We’re sorry we can’t be there in person,” the heir to the throne began the match in Australia. “But we’re so proud of everything you’ve achieved and the millions you’ve inspired here and around the world. So go out there tomorrow and really enjoy yourselves.”

    “Good luck, Lionesses!” Charlotte echoed.

As the little princess grows up in the royal spotlight, she can uniquely lean on her dad — and sometimes literally does! Cameras caught a sweet exchange between Princess Charlotte and Prince William during the first Trooping the Colour of King Charles’ reign in June.

While Prince William traveled to and from Horse Guards Parade separately from his wife, Kate Middleton, and their three kids — Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, 5 — Charlotte had a total daddy’s girl moment when they reunited on the balcony of Buckingham Palace. Prince William had his hands on Charlotte’s shoulders, and she moved them closer for a snugger hug.

Princess Charlotte held Prince William’s hand as she and her brothers made their way into preview day at Lambrook School in September 2022, where they enrolled as new pupils following the family’s move from London to Windsor. George and Louis looped hands with Kate, while Charlotte strolled by William’s side.

The dad and daughter shared another memorable adventure that summer when they flew by helicopter to the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Footage showed William (a former Royal Air Force search and rescue pilot) landing the Bell 429 “GlobalRanger” helicopter in Birmingham, while Charlotte sat in the backseat. Kate met the pair at the sports tournament, which marked Charlotte’s first solo outing with her parents, and William was sweetly seen fixing his daughter’s hair during a hockey game.

During a visit to Blackpool in 2019, a member of the group Dads 4 Life made William and Kate laugh when he spoke about the challenges of styling his little girl’s hair, sharing that he finally learned from YouTube.

“Never try to do a ponytail!” William commiserated. “Nightmare.”

Kate asked him, “Have you tried to do a plait [braid]? It’s the weaving…really hard.”

“I can do [Princess Charlotte’s] ponytail, but that’s about it as I don’t have enough hair to practice on!” he playfully explained.

Maame Serwaa reacts following reports of sleeping with Mcbrown’s husband

Ghanaian socialite and hair entrepreneur Maame Serwaa has been a hot topic on the internet for the past few days.. This buzz started after her former boyfriend, who goes by the name Ohene on social media, got married to another woman over the weekend.

  • Owen Farrell to suffer four-game suspension and will miss opening of the Rugby World Cup

Owen Farrell to suffer four-game suspension and will miss opening of the Rugby World Cup

Owen Farrell has been suspended for four matches by a committee for his dangerous tackle against Wales. As a result, he will not be able to play in the beginning of the Rugby World Cup.

Farrell will not be able to play in the important matches against Argentina and Japan in Pool D. He is also suspended for this month’s warm-up games against Ireland and Fiji.

World Rugby took action against the decision made by a group that handles discipline in rugby, who had changed Farrell’s red card to a less severe yellow card.

People were very upset when they found out that the punishment for the Saracens fly-half’s rough move, which hurt the Wales flanker and made him fail a head injury assessment, was only being temporarily removed from the game.

The committee who reviews cases found that the first hearing did not take into account the fact that Farrell didn’t wrap his arms when trying to tackle. This was an important factor when the review system decided to change the penalty from a warning to a more serious one.

Because the hit on Basham was always against the rules, it was decided to review the case. After watching a video hearing that started in the morning and ended in the evening, it was determined that a sending-off was the appropriate decision.

World Rugby’s rules say that if a play is always illegal and against the rules, it cannot be excused. This means that even if Basham’s body position changed before the contact with Farrell, it shouldn’t have been a reason to let him go without punishment.

Billy Vunipola won’t be able to play at the beginning of England’s World Cup because he’s been suspended.

Farrell was given a six-game punishment for his bad behavior, but it was reduced to four games because he admitted his mistake, showed remorse, and has a good reputation.

This means that the 31-year-old will be able to play in the second part of Pool D, which includes matches against Chile and Samoa, as well as any elimination matches.

Billy Vunipola has also been banned from playing at the beginning of the World Cup because he got a three-week suspension for his red card against Ireland.

Vunipola was put in the sin-bin for making a dangerous tackle on Andrew Porter during a match on Saturday in Dublin. However, after reviewing the incident using the bunker review system, the punishment was changed to a red card.

A hearing recently decided to decrease the initial ban of six games to three for a rugby player from Saracens. This decision was made due to certain factors that made the player’s actions less severe. Additionally, the player has the opportunity to reduce his ban even further by attending a tackle school.

That means he won’t be able to play in the game on Saturday against Fiji or the important first game of the World Cup against Argentina.

Woman previously reported missing charged with false murder report

A woman from North Carolina, who was recently the subject of a missing person report, is currently being charged in relation to her disappearance.

The Franklin Police Department’s Facebook post on Friday indicated that Margaret Frances “Maggie” Elizabeth Sweeney had been reported missing. However, by Monday, she had not only been located but also taken into custody.

According to an update by the department, the 37-year-old is facing several offenses, including causing false report to a police station, false report of death or serious injury by telephonic communication, and obstructing law enforcement officers.

The Franklin Police Department revealed that officers immediately began searching for the North Carolina resident after a report “which alluded that Sweeney was endangered or deceased.”

The following day, Sweeney was discovered to be safe. Though the woman was found unharmed, the investigation into what caused the missing person’s report to be filed continued. According to the Franklin Police Department, Sweeney allegedly “made anonymous third-party false reports to a friend and the Department of Social Services that she had been murdered.”

The police department continued: “Sweeney’s actions caused our department, as well as other departments, many hours of work which could have been spent on other matters. Family, friends, and the community as a whole were also very concerned and worried about Sweeney’s welfare.”

On Tuesday, local NBC affiliate WYFF-4 shared that Sweeney was found Saturday in a neighboring town not far from where she was reported missing.

“Everything at the moment seemed legitimate” at first, Franklin Police Chief Devin Holland told WLOS in Asheville, North Carolina. After a deputy located Sweeney by pinging her phone, she reportedly told him she was unaware that people were looking for her. Authorities reportedly found those claims to be untrue. Holland added that he is unsure what caused her to allegedly say she was in danger, but that “it does appear there was some domestic issues with the boyfriend.”

The Franklin Police Department did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

It’s unclear if Sweeney has an attorney who can comment on her behalf.

Sweeney’s case comes almost one month after Carlee Russell made headlines for allegedly staging her own abduction, only to return to her parent’s home shortly after. The 25-year-old Alabama nursing student became the focus of a nationwide search after she reportedly stopped her car on the side of the road one night after reportedly seeing a toddler walking on the road alone. While on the phone, the person on the other line reportedly heard Russell scream before the call dropped.

Her mother, Talitha Russell-Robinson, spoke with AL.com, saying that after the cry for help, “All you hear on her phone is background noise from the interstate.” Russell reappeared two nights later and police announced they were “unable to verify” her kidnapping claims.

At a press conference following her return, Hoover police Chief Nick Derzis said, “There are many questions left to be answered. Only Carlee can provide those answers.”

“I do think it’s highly unusual that the day someone gets kidnapped, seven or eight hours before that they were searching the movie Taken about an abduction,” Derzis said of Russell’s case.

Russell later admitted the kidnapping was a hoax and was charged with false reporting to law enforcement and falsely reporting an incident, both misdemeanors. “We have no idea where Carlee Russell was for 49 hours,” Derzis said at the time of her brief disappearance.

Many hoped that Russell’s case would not deter the masses from taking abductions seriously. Zach Sommers, a criminologist and attorney, spoke to PEOPLE following the high-profile incident. “The vast majority of missing persons cases that get reported to police are not hoaxes,” he said in July.

Nigerian Afrobeats artists lack experience- Burna Boy

Nigerian singer Burna Boy believes Afrobeats lack depth, and that many Nigerian artists have limited experience.

In a recent interview, Burna Boy asserted that 90% of Afrobeats musicians sing ineffectively and lack the experience necessary to create music with depth.

He then uses himself as an illustration of what he has attempted to emphasize, claiming that, in contrast to other Afrobeat musicians who sing about nothing, he creates music on a variety of subjects.

‘AfroBeats as people call it, is mostly about nothing, literally nothing’, he says. ‘There’s no substance to it — like, nobody is talking about anything in it. it’s just a great time’.

Some music fans have expressed displeasure with the statement, saying the afrobeat artist is being greedy and self-centered by disparaging the genre that gave him his start.

  • Chelsea withdraws interest in Brennan Johnson of Nottingham Forest

Chelsea withdraws interest in Brennan Johnson of Nottingham Forest

Chelsea has decided not to continue with a £50 million agreement to sign Brennan Johnson as a striker. The reason is that they have started discussions with Nottingham Forest about signing another forward player.

The Blues have only scored two goals in their first two Premier League matches, and they seem to lack firepower in their offense since Christopher Nkunku got injured.

Nicolas Jackson has not started playing for the Blues yet and Mauricio Pochettino wants to add more strength to his team’s offense.

Johnson did really well in his first season playing in the Premier League. He scored ten goals in 44 games in all competitions.

Many people in the Premier League are interested in that form, including Tottenham coach Ange Posecoglou who likes the 22-year-old player.

Chelsea had contacted Forest last week, trying to sign Johnson before their rivals do.

But Chelsea doesn’t want to spend £50m on Forest’s player, so they will look for someone else before the transfer window closes.

This could create an opportunity for Tottenham’s competitors because they are searching for a new player to replace Harry Kane, who recently moved to Bayern Munich for £86m.

  • Andy Murray would ‘love’ to face either Novak Djokovic or Carlos Alcaraz at US Open – Tim Henman

Andy Murray would ‘love’ to face either Novak Djokovic or Carlos Alcaraz at US Open – Tim Henman

Tim Henman, a former British No. 1, mentioned that Andy Murray would be really excited about the opportunity to compete against either Novak Djokovic or Carlos Alcaraz at the US Open in New York.

Djokovic and Alcaraz played against each other in the final match of Wimbledon last month. Now, they are going to Flushing Meadows and are expected to do well in the men’s singles competition.

Alcaraz, who is ranked as the best player in the world, recently won the US Open and now wants to keep his title at the last big tennis tournament of the year.

Djokovic wants to get back at his opponent for losing the Wimbledon final, and he wants to win his 24th major title. If he achieves this, he will have the same number of major titles as Margaret Court, which is the current record. He will also be ahead of Rafael Nadal, who currently has 22 major titles.

The British legend Murray had a big comeback after his hip surgery, and now he is ranked as the 37th best tennis player in the world.

He won three championships this year and almost won in the second round of Wimbledon against Stefanos Tsitsipas, who was ranked fifth, in a very exciting match that lasted five sets.

The 36-year-old person, who won the US Open 11 years ago, has a small problem in their stomach muscles leading up to the Flushing Meadows tournament. However, Henman still believes that Murray is able to compete in important matches if he goes against either Djokovic or Alcaraz.

In simple words: Carlos Alcaraz from Spain won the tennis tournament at Wimbledon in London on July 16, 2023. He proudly posed with the trophy, while Novak Djokovic from Serbia came in second place.

When asked how Murray would do against Djokovic or Alcaraz and which player he would prefer to face, Henman said, “I’m not sure who he would rather play, but Andy enjoys tough competition. ”

He would have very little chance of winning, and I don’t think anyone can argue with that. With his prior experience, understanding of the game, and ability to solve problems while playing.

Playing a best of five sets match is challenging because it requires a lot of physical effort. However, the player chooses to participate in these matches to have the opportunity to compete against top players in major tournaments.

Hopefully, Andy will play against either Djokovic or Alcaraz. It would be great if he has won two or three matches before, as it would give him some positive energy to continue.

I hope he is okay and in good health. You need to be in good health to perform your best, and hopefully he is just going through a minor setback (with a stomach muscle strain) and can still participate in the competition.

British fans are excited to see how well Murray can do in the men’s singles. However, Raducanu won’t be playing in the women’s singles because she is still recovering from surgery. There are rumors that she might come back to play in the Asian tournaments later this year or take a break for the rest of 2023 and aim to make a comeback in 2024.

Raducanu hasn’t played any matches since April. As a result, she has lost her position as the top-ranked British player to Katie Boulter.

Henman thinks that the winner of the 2021 US Open, who was ranked as one of the top 10 players in the world last year, will be inspired by the achievements of her fellow British players.

Henman said that competition that is good for your health is wonderful. In the British sport, we have witnessed this happening with men and now it is happening with women too. Katie Boulter achieved her first victory in Nottingham and became one of the top 100 players.

Jodie Burrage, Heather Watson, Katie Swan, and Harriet Dart are all part of the top 100. Emma Raducanu is not currently playing because she is not physically well, but she will definitely be inspired by the good results of other British players and it will motivate her.

Andy Murray has been at the top of men’s tennis for a long time, but it’s great to see Cameron Norrie and Jack Draper moving up in the rankings. It’s good to have healthy competition, and it’s very important.

Even when Greg Rusedski and I were playing against each other. “We need as many British players as possible to be ranked in the top 200 and top 100, because it would be excellent. ”

  • West Ham preparing to sign former Arsenal player Konstantinos Mavropanos after Harry Maguire’s move fell through

West Ham preparing to sign former Arsenal player Konstantinos Mavropanos after Harry Maguire’s move fell through

West Ham are close to signing Konstantinos Mavropanos, a previous player for Arsenal. The transfer deal is worth £17 million plus additional payments.

The Irons chose Mavropanos after they couldn’t get Harry Maguire from Manchester United.

The two clubs decided on a £30 million price for the 30-year-old player. However, he doesn’t want to leave Old Trafford even though he is not being chosen as often as before. He also risks losing the opportunity to be part of England’s Euro 2024 team.

However, West Ham quickly moved on from that disappointment and have promptly secured the agreement of Stuttgart defender Mavropanos. He will transfer to the London Stadium for £17m, with additional payments totaling just over £4m.

On Monday night, there were false rumors that the deal had failed because the 25-year-old was not medically fit. However, these rumors were untrue, and the move is expected to be officially announced very soon.

Mavropanos has a good understanding of the Premier League because he was part of Arsenal’s team from 2018 to 2022 and was one of the last players signed by Arsenal winger.

He played for the Gunners only eight times. He then went on loan to Stuttgart for the last two seasons before moving to Germany permanently last summer.

Arsenal are going to receive 10% of his transfer fee, which is about £1. 7m, because of a clause in his contract.

The Greek player will be the third person that David Moyes signs this summer. He already signed Edson Alvarez and James Ward-Prowse for the midfield. Moyes wants to improve his team’s position in the Premier League and also wants to compete in the Europa League.

After a difficult summer, West Ham have started the new season well. They got a draw against Bournemouth away from home and then won 3-1 against Chelsea, who are also from London.

Next, the Irons will go on a trip to face the top-ranked team, Brighton, on Saturday evening.

Mary Earps reacts to Nike’s most recent comments regarding England custodian uniform dispute

Mary Earps has replied to Nike’s recent statement about the controversy surrounding the kit of the England goalkeeper.

Fans of England football team can’t buy copies of goalkeeper shirts worn by Earps. Nike has promised to consider selling them for future tournaments.

The Earps were really impressed with the Women’s World Cup. They saved a penalty during the final on Sunday, but the Lionesses ended up in second place behind Spain.

The Manchester United player won an award but some England fans are upset because they can’t buy her jersey.

Earps described Nike’s decision as very hurtful. She even offered to pay for the shirts herself.

Nike made a statement after the end, but Earps criticized the company on her Instagram story on Tuesday.
Earps shared a link to a petition on Change. org, asking Nike to sell her replica England shirt. The petition has received over 97,000 signatures.

Nike said on Sunday that they support women’s football and are enthusiastic about the excitement surrounding this year’s tournament. They are also impressed by the Lionesses’ amazing victory in reaching the final.

We are excited to share the best of Nike’s new ideas and services with our federation partners and many athletes.

We know that people want to buy goalkeeper jerseys at stores, and we are working with Fifa and the soccer organizations to make this happen for future tournaments.

The fact that people are talking about this topic shows that there is still a lot of passion and excitement about women’s sports. This makes us hopeful and happy.

Talking about Nike’s choice, Earps said last month: ‘It’s really sad and it hurts a lot. ‘ It’s a really scary message being sent to goalkeepers around the world that says ‘you’re not important’ and it’s something I’ve been trying to combat. I have been trying really hard to find a solution with the Football Association and with Nike.

Getting out of debt and building wealth involves a combination of financial discipline, careful planning, and consistent efforts. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you achieve this:

    1. Assess Your Financial Situation: Take a close look at your income, expenses, and debts. Understand where your money is going and identify areas where you can cut back on unnecessary spending.
    2. Create a Budget: Develop a realistic budget that outlines your monthly income and expenses. Prioritize essentials like housing, food, transportation, and debt payments. Allocate a portion of your income toward savings and investments.
    3. Reduce and Eliminate Debt: Prioritize paying off high-interest debts first. Consider strategies like the debt snowball (paying off smallest debts first) or the debt avalanche (paying off highest-interest debts first). Make consistent, larger-than-minimum payments to expedite the process.
    4. Build an Emergency Fund: Set aside a fund that covers 3-6 months’ worth of living expenses. This safety net will help you avoid going into debt in case of unexpected expenses or emergencies.
    5. Increase Income: Look for opportunities to increase your income. This could involve asking for a raise, taking on a side job, freelancing, or starting a small business.

Remember, becoming debt-free and building wealth is a journey that requires consistent effort and discipline. It’s important to stay focused on your goals and make financial decisions that align with your long-term aspirations.

Accidental drowning confirmed as what killed former White House Chef, Tafari Campbell

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner of Massachusetts has concluded that the manner of death for former White House sous chef Tafari Campbell was an accidental drowning resulting from being submerged in a body of water.

According to Timothy McGuirk, a representative from the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security, Massachusetts does not make autopsy findings public. Nevertheless, the chief medical examiner determined that Campbell’s demise was accidental.

The Massachusetts State Police’s preliminary inquiry yielded no indications of foul play in the death of 45-year-old Campbell, as reported by The Boston Herald. The investigators did not uncover any signs of external harm or injuries on the body, according to the same source.

Campbell, a father of two who was a personal chef to former President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama, died in a paddle boarding accident near the Obamas’ Katama estate in Martha’s Vineyard on July 23.

The chef, who was from Dumfries, Virginia, lost his balance while standing on a paddle board and fell into the water, another paddle boarder on the pond told police, reports the Herald. The other paddle boarder attempted to swim to Campbell, but could not reach him in time, per the Herald.

Campbell’s body was recovered by divers from a pond on Edgartown Great Road shortly before 10 a.m. ET on July 24, Massachusetts State Police had said in a news release.

“MSP Underwater Recovery Unit divers made the recovery after the victim’s body was located by Massachusetts Environmental Police Officers deploying side-scan sonar from a boat,” the department said in the release, noting the recovery was made “approximately 100 feet from shore at a depth of about eight feet.”

MSP later told PEOPLE in a statement, “Mr. Campbell was visiting Martha’s Vineyard at the time of his passing. President and Mrs. Obama were not present at the residence at the time of the accident.”

The Obamas shared a tribute to Campbell, who they called “a beloved part of our family”.

“When we first met him, he was a talented sous chef at the White House — creative and passionate about food, and its ability to bring people together,” the Obamas said in a joint statement sent to PEOPLE. “In the years that followed, we got to know him as a warm, fun, extraordinarily kind person who made all of our lives a little brighter.”

The statement continued, “That’s why, when we were getting ready to leave the White House, we asked Tafari to stay with us, and he generously agreed. He’s been part of our lives ever since, and our hearts are broken that he’s gone.”

“Today we join everyone who knew and loved Tafari — especially his wife Sherise and their twin boys, Xavier and Savin — in grieving the loss of a truly wonderful man,” they added.

In an Instagram post shared on July 24, his wife Sherise wrote: “My heart is broken. My life and our family’s life is forever changed. Please pray for me and our families as I deal with the loss of my husband.”

In another post, Sherise — who owns a baking and catering company called Sweet Sage — said her company was putting orders on hold due to “the recent tragedy in our family.”

Three individuals killed in Belgorod few hours after drones struck Moscow

Russian officials say that three people were killed in an attack in the Belgorod region of Russia. This happened shortly after another attack with a drone in central Moscow.

Belgorod’s leader, Vyacheslav Gladkov, accused Kyiv of being responsible for the attack near the Ukrainian border in our region.

“He said that Ukrainian soldiers used a drone to throw a bomb when there were people walking on the street. ”

Kyiv has not admitted doing either of the incidents, but it usually doesn’t say anything about attacks happening inside Russia.

The Russian Defence Ministry said that a second drone was destroyed in the region, a few hours after the first drone attack killed three people in Belgorod.

Drones were used to attack both Belgorod and a construction site in Moscow, according to Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

The defense ministry said that air defenses successfully destroyed two drones in the Mozhaisk and Khimki districts of the Moscow region. No one got hurt or killed.

After the happenings in Russia’s main city, all trips to and from Moscow’s airports were stopped early Wednesday, but they later went back to normal.

In the past few days, the capital has been hit by multiple drone attacks, leading to the repeated suspension of flights for safety reasons.

According to the AFP news agency, there were more attacks in the sky over Moscow for the sixth night in a row.

A drone that crashed into a building being built at the Moscow city complex was stopped by electronic warfare devices, the defense ministry announced. It crashed into the building because it couldn’t control itself.

Windows were broken in two tall buildings across from the construction area, and the emergency services were checking the place, according to Mr.

The US State Department said they were not supporting drone attacks in Russia after hearing about the crashed drones.

American officials said that it was the decision of Ukraine on how to protect itself, and Russia had the power to stop the war whenever it wanted by removing its troops from Ukraine.

What information do we have about drone attacks in Russia.

More and more people have been accusing drone attacks happening in Russia lately.

On Tuesday, the defense ministry of Russia announced that they shot down two small aircrafts in the sky near Moscow. They also stopped two more aircrafts in the air near the border of Ukraine.

Authorities also stated that a Russian military aircraft destroyed a Ukrainian surveillance boat in the Black Sea on Tuesday. The boat was sailing close to Russian gas production sites.

Ukraine did not admit to being responsible for any drone invasions on Tuesday – but President Volodymyr Zelensky has said before that attacks on Russia are something that will happen and is justifiable.

  • Lula of Brazil expresses his affection for Africa

Lula of Brazil expresses his affection for Africa

Brazil is now back where it should have always been, on the continent. Africa has a lot of chances to succeed and a big capacity to grow.

Brazil’s President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, also known as Lula, made these comments while speaking in South Africa at the Brics yearly meeting that he is currently participating in.

The leaders of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa are having a meeting in Johannesburg, which is the commercial center of South Africa.

Lula made a hidden criticism toward his right-wing predecessor, Jair Bolsonaro, who did not visit Africa during his time as president.

Lula became Brazil’s president in January 2023 after a fiercely fought election. The experienced politician with left-leaning views also served as the leader of the country from 2003 to 2010. During this time, he visited Africa multiple times.

He already went to Cape Verde for a short time this year.

The leader of Brazil has focused on improving relationships with other countries in the “global south” as an important part of the country’s foreign policy.

During my first two terms, I focused on Africa as a top priority. Lula said, “I visited Africa 12 times and went to 21 different countries. ”

Brazil has a foreign policy that aims to include others, but according to reports from the Brazilian press, the country doesn’t want to increase the number of members in Brics, even though China and Russia want this.

After attending a meeting in South Africa, the president of Brazil will continue his trip to Africa. He will visit Angola and São Tomé and Príncipe, where he will participate in a meeting of countries that speak Portuguese.

  • Aggrieved railway workers pursue union leader over 3 months salary arrears

Aggrieved railway workers pursue union leader over 3 months salary arrears

Railway workers in Sekondi/Takoradi are disgruntled over their salaries, which have been in arrears for months.

The workers have received no pay for the past three months, a situation which has caused growing frustration and concern among them.

It is against this background that the complete workforce of the Ghana Railway Company in Sekondi/Takoradi, on Monday, convened at the renowned Bottom Tree grounds in Ketan, seeking explanations regarding their withheld wages.

Unfortunately, leadership of the Union did not turn up as expected for the aggrieved workers to convey their plights. The employees were, thus, left disappointed.

Speaking in an interview, some of the angry workers said: “We had already invited him to come and explain to us why our salaries are not being paid. He assured us of coming but we waited for him almost the whole day and he did not show up. We have been calling him but no response. We have worked and no salaries have been hitting our accounts.

“We have families who depend on us but nobody has told us what is going on. We are inviting him for questions and he has refused to attend,” he added.

There were no explanations for his absence, according to the workers.

More than 500 workers, determined in their stance, have pledged to assemble once more at the same location until they receive communication from their leader. They assert that their leader, elected to champion their interests, should respond to their appeal.

Recall that the 2006 group of retrenched workers who have not received their severance award, obtained a legal garnishee order not long ago. This court order has effectively blocked the railway company from accessing its bank account, consequently obstructing the payment of the workers.

In May of this year, John Kojo Appiah, the head of the retrenched workers, informed Nhyiraba Paa Kwesi Simpson that the Sekondi High Court had issued the injunction. This legal action was taken as a result of unsuccessful attempts to recover their inaccessible funds.

“The Cape Coast Appeals Court ordered the payment of our money in 2015,” he had said.

“Since then, the company has refused to pay the money to us and all efforts have proven unsuccessful. Our lawyer led us and an injunction has been placed on the accounts where salaries of workers are paid from.”

At present, Ghana Railway depends solely on a portion of its income generated from transporting bauxite between Nsuta and Takoradi to cover the workers’ salaries.
