Prices of petroleum products at the pumps will from today, August 16, 2022 see an increment of 5.5%.

This was disclosed by the Chamber of Petroleum Consumers (COPEC).

In spite of reduction on the world market, Petroleum increment in Ghana, according to the Executive Secretary of COPEC, Duncan Amoah, is as a result of the sharp depreciation of the cedi on the local market.

Mr Duncan Amoah explained that “between the current first pricing window and the next fuel pricing window of the month August 2022, which commences from tomorrow, August 16th, 2022, crude oil price has seen a drop by 4.53%, from $110.52 averagely to $105.51 per barrel, whilst that of finished products ( petrol and diesel ) have declined by an average of 7.5%”

“The forex market has unfortunately however, been pretty turbulent over the period with the cedi depreciating steeply to close trading at about ¢9.8313 per dollar.”

  • 5 times King Promise has delivered on his Nigerian collaborations

King Promise is the Ghanaian superstar whose talent is redefining the Ghanaian end of Afrobeats. His distinctive talent has seen him morph across different Afrobeats sub-genres delivering his unique vocals and melody in a manner that imposes his presence on every song he appears.

In the intersection between the Nigerian and Ghanaian ends of Afrobeats, we have seen different collaborations over the years. In the early 2000s Nigerian music giant 2Baba and Ghanaian Afrobeats Pioneer V.I.P. In the 2010s, we say collaborations between R2Bs and Wande Coal, Wizkid and Davido. Sarkodie has collaborated with Ice Prince, Vector, Zlatan, Masterkraft, and Banky W, amongst other Nigerian acts. Stonebwoy has collaborated with his pal Davido and DJ Neptune.

We also can’t forget the contributions of Mr. Eazi whose career is a hybrid between the Nigerian and Ghanaian ends of Afrobeats.

A unique thread that runs through these collaborations is the notable distinction between the artists involved. The Ghanaian artists always tend to lean predominantly toward the Ghanaian sound while the Nigerian artists offer the Afrobeats sound primarily domesticated in Nigeria but with its tentacles spread abroad.

One Ghanaian artist who has however been able to match the quintessential Afrobeats appeal ability of Nigeria acts is King Promise. The superstar has been able to create Afrobeats music stripped of the overburdening Ghanaian elements thereby creating quintessential Afrobeats song that is appealing across the board.

Perhaps, there’s no better way to showcase King Promise’s Afrobeats credentials than through his collaborations with Nigerian Afrobeats superstars.

King Promise feat Simi – ‘Selfish Part 2’

In the single, King Promise provides a tingling R&B duet with Simi where he laid the Afrobeats melody for Simi to come in and lay her vocals which perfectly complimented King Promise’s rich vocals.

CDQ feat King Promise – ‘Flex’

There’s just about a handful of Ghanaian artists that can jump on a Nigerian Street-hop song and King Promise heads this list. On ‘Flex’ he provided verse that combines indigenous language and Pidgin delivered with a pop rap melody that matches CDQ’s street style.

King Promise feat Wizkid – ‘Tokyo’

On a song with the biggest artist on the continent, King Promise shines brightly by an unforgettable melody with which he warmed his way into the hearts of Nigerian listeners.

King Promise feat Patoranking – ‘Chop Life’

King Promise blurred the lines between Nigerian and Ghanaian Afrobeats when he joined forces with Patoranking on ‘Chop Life’. Using his trademark melody and pidgin to reach a wide audience, King Promise was able to create a delightful feel good song.

King Promise feat Omah Lay – ’10 Toes’

In his latest collaboration, King Promise joins forces with Nigerian superstar Omah Lay to create the quintessential Afrobeats song with a global appeal.

On this list, King Promise’s flexible talent is showcased across R&B, Street-hop, and Pop. His ability to blend into different Afrobeats sub-genres and create ear-pleasing music is displayed in his recently released sophomore album ‘5 Star’.

President of the Chamber of Freight and Trade, Dennis Sefa Amfo, has bemoaned how the penalty on demurrage containers has been killing businesses slowly which has become a burden on Ghanaian business operators.

According to Mr. Sefa Amfo, many containers are taken over by the government and sold at a cheap cost to another person when the penalty is due, a situation he said mostly are caused by the financial inability of the importer yet the government will not sell it cheaper to the business owners.

This he says is seriously affecting the business community in Ghana.

Speaking on the “Ghana Kasa” morning show on Kasapa FM and Agoo TV Monday, Mr. Sefa Amfo lamented that the high cost of import duty on goods and services in this current economic situation is dire, hence his call for a reduction in the penalty of demurrage goods.

He added that the corruption allegation at the port is untrue explaining that it has been a perception of the people that businessmen are corrupt and therefore, many accept any statements that come against importers and exporters at the ports.

  • Stop importation of cargo without manifest, air waybills into Ghana – GACL to airlines

Ghana Airports Company Limited has cautioned airlines and ground handling companies to stop the importation of cargoes without manifest and air waybills into the country.

The cargo manifest is a document that gives details about the goods. It contains the transport documents numbers, consignors, consignees, quantity of goods, types of packages, and descriptions.

Airway bill, on the other hand, is a consignment note that shows the contract between the shipper and courier company.

According to Investopedia, airway bill is a document that accompanies goods shipped by an international air courier to provide detailed information about the shipment.

In a press release sighted by GhanaWeb, the GACL said, “With reference to a directive issued by Ministry of Transport on the above subject, we write to inform you that the importation of air cargo without cargo manifest and Air Waybill cease immediately at Kotoka International Aiport (KIA).”

“This directive is in consonance with provisions in the National Air Cargo and Mail Security Programme that abhor the importation on cargo which have neither cargo manifests nor airway bills,” it added.

The Ghana Airports Company Limited noted that airlines that fail to adhere to this directive will be sanctioned.

It noted that GACL will stop the offloading of all unsolicited cargo on arrival at KIA and fine all offending airlines.

  • Five interesting facts about 2022 World Cup

The 22nd FIFA World Cup, which will include 32 nations and the defending champion France, will take place in the Gulf nation of Qatar in 97 days.

The opening match of the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup will take place at Al Bayt Stadium on November 20, while the championship match will take place at Lusail Stadium on December 18.

Particularly enthusiastic are football fans about Qatar’s ability to organize the largest football festival in 97 days.

To mark the 97 days until the tournament starts, here are five unique things you need to know about the FIFA World Cup.

    First World Cup in November/December

The first World Cup was staged on July 1930 between 13 countries namely Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, France, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Romania, United States, Uruguay, and Yugoslavia after FIFA decided to hold its own international tournament outside of the Olympics.

The World Cup after 1930 has been played during the summer break, June/July but for the first time in history, the Mundial will be held in November/December because the weather conditions in Qatar between June/July are not suitable for football.

Last World Cup with 32 teams

After 24 years and six World Cup editions, the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar will be the last time that thirty-two countries will compete for the trophy.

France hosted the first 32 countries World Cup in 1998 and Qatar will see the last of this form as FIFA has extended the number of countries to 48 starting from the 2026 Mundial.

FIFA confirmed on January 10, 2017, that the 2026 World Cup would expand participation to 48 teams. The United States, Mexico, and Canada will host the first edition of the new format.

    Most Expensive World Cup

The 2018 FIFA World Cup was the most expensive Mundial tournament as Russia spent close to $15 billion but Qatar have spent 14 times the amount used by the European country four years ago.

Qatar have reportedly spent $220 billion on the upcoming 2022 world cup to build infrastructure including the new stadiums to host the tournament.

    Increased Prize Money

The expensive nature of the 2022 FIFA World Cup will also show in the prize monies as FIFA has announced an increase in the amount that will be paid to the winner and other respective positions.

According to reports, the winner of the 2022 World Cup will go home with $42 million which is $3 million bigger than what was paid to France as the winner of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

    Semi-automated offside technology

FIFA on Friday, July 1, announced that semi-automated offside technology will be used at the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar.

This comes after the successful implementation of the VAR technology at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia as the football governing body continues its quest to support match officials to make the best of calls on matchdays.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino declared in The Vision 2020-23 that FIFA would strive to harness the full potential of technology in football and further enhance VAR.

  • Details about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s upcoming trips to Germany and UK

The couple will be in Britain in early September for a series of charitable events. They will also travel to Germany to kick off next year’s Invictus Games in Dusseldorf.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex “are delighted to visit with several charities close to their hearts in early September,” a spokesperson for the couple said on Monday.

Meghan and Harry will travel to Manchester for the One Young World Summit on Sept. 5, Germany for the Invictus Games’ “One Year to Go” on Sept. 6, and back to the U.K. for the Well Child Awards on Sept 8.

Harry and Meghan were last in the U.K. in June to help celebrate Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee. During their visit, they also introduced their daughter Lilibet, 1, to the monarch and her grandfather Prince Charles for the first time. Charles, 73, was said to be overjoyed — in what a source called an “emotional” visit — to also see his grandson Archie, 3.

The Queen is expected to be in Balmoral for her annual summer holiday during the couple’s visit. However, she may travel to London to meet with the new British Prime Minister, who is due to be chosen in early September, which could provide an opportunity for Meghan and Harry to see her during their visit.

Meghan, 41, has a long-standing tie to One Young World, and took part in the 2014 and 2016 summits as a counselor. In 2019 — before she and Harry, 37, stepped back from their roles as working members of the royal family, she attended the 2019 summit alongside Harry. Meghan, who thanked attendees for “letting him crash the party,” spoke in a roundtable discussion about gender equality.

“In terms of gender equality, which has been something I have championed for quite a long time, you know I think that conversation can’t happen without men being part of it,” she said.

On Sept. 6, the couple will travel from Britain to Dusseldorf, Germany, to kick off the one-year countdown for next year’s Invictus Games — Harry’s international adaptive sports competition for injured, sick and wounded servicemen and women.

Amid this year’s Invictus Games in the Netherlands, Harry told PEOPLE: “Being a dad certainly adds another emotional layer to it.”

“When I was in the Army, I promised myself I would be out before having a wife and kids, because I couldn’t imagine the heartache of being apart for so long during deployment, the risk of possibly getting injured, and the reality that my family’s lives could be changed forever if that happened. Every member of the Invictus community has experienced varying degrees of these things. I have tremendous respect for what they and their families sacrifice in the name of service,” he told PEOPLE exclusively in April.

The couple will cap off their whirlwind trip with the annual WellChild awards, which celebrate the inspirational qualities of the U.K.’s seriously ill children and young people, along with the family members and carers who make a difference in their lives. The couple has regularly attended the emotional event.

Digital creator JL Bunny wrote, “My hair inspo forreal” while media personality Jerome Trammel shared, “Yassss hair! It’s giving Aaliyah signature style!”

While another user was skeptical of the onions being odorless after trying a similar hack herself. Actress and author Juju Castaneda replied, “I have to try boiling the onions .. I was juicing them and left it too long .. & for an entire year, anytime my hair was blowed out or straightened it smelled like Sofrito 🥴🤦🏾‍♀️”

Adding onion to a haircare routine may be beneficial due to “the anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties” of the vegetable which can “help you grow your hair or enhance its healthy appearance,” according to Healthline.

“Onion juice has the potential to help stimulate hair follicles and thereby encourage hair growth,” Tiffany Young, a certified trichologist and the CEO of ThinHairThick, told Martha Stewart in March. “It is also a natural antiseptic. Hair loss that is caused from inflammatory disease, poor blood flow, and poor diet could see a benefit.”

Earlier this week, the Grammy-winning rapper also stripped down her glam to reveal her “mustache” and bare-faced complexion on social media.

“Forehead foreheading, mustache mustaching,” the Grammy winner captioned the Twitter photo.

In June, she also got real about her appearance on her Instagram Story. She shared that wanted to get a tummy tuck after giving birth to her son Wave last September.

At the time, the star revealed that she’s “a little heavier than usual,” adding about a section of her tummy, “I don’t like it. I want to get rid of it.”

Cardi continued in the clip, “I think Wavey did me wrong, so I cannot wait to put out this song and do more things so I can get the f— out and do my f—ing surgery. I’m over it.”

  • Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith seen out together for the first time since the Oscars slap

After the infamous Oscars slap, which occurred in March, Will Smith and wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith, were spotted together in public recently.

The couple enjoyed an afternoon date at Nobu Malibu on Saturday as they were photographed out together for the first time since Will, 53, smacked Chris Rock on stage in defense of Jada, 50, at the 94th Academy Awards.

They appeared to be in good spirits and a beard-sporting Will even threw the peace sign to a fan as Jada appeared to hold onto his belt loop while they walked to their car.

The debacle at March’s awards show unraveled after Rock, 57, made light of Jada’s hair loss (she’s been open about living with alopecia). “Jada, I love ya. G.I. Jane 2, can’t wait to see ya,” he joked.

Will then walked onto the stage and slapped Rock in the face, leaving the audience and live viewers around the world stunned. “Oh wow,” said Rock as Will made his way back to his seat. “Will Smith just smacked the s— out of me.”

  • Anne Heche was ‘peacefully taken off life support’ after organ recipient found -Rep confirms

Anne Heche has been peacefully taken off life support,” the star’s rep told PEOPLE on Sunday evening.

Two days after PEOPLE confirmed that the 53-year-old actress died from injuries sustained in a recent car crash, a rep for Heche confirmed to PEOPLE that an organ recipient match was made and she would be removed from life support Sunday.

Information surrounding which of Heche’s organs were donated, as well as who the recipient is, is not immediately known.

A rep for Heche confirmed the actress’ death to PEOPLE in a statement Friday on behalf of her friends and family: “Today we lost a bright light, a kind and most joyful soul, a loving mother, and a loyal friend.”

“Anne will be deeply missed but she lives on through her beautiful sons, her iconic body of work, and her passionate advocacy,” the statement continued. “Her bravery for always standing in her truth, spreading her message of love and acceptance, will continue to have a lasting impact.”

Although Heche was legally dead according to California law at the time of the announcement, it had “long been her choice to donate her organs,” so Heche’s heart was still beating and she was still on life support in order to allow OneLegacy Foundation enough time to find recipients who will be a match.

    Remembering Anne Heche

After Heche’s death, her ex-husband, Coleman “Coley” Laffoon, shared a teary, heartfelt tribute to the late actress. He also gave an update on how their 20-year-old son Homer Laffoon is coping with the loss.

“I loved her and I miss her, and I’m always going to,” he said in an Instagram Reel, adding: “Homer is okay. He’s grieving, of course, and it’s rough. It’s really rough, as probably anybody can imagine. But he’s surrounded by family and he’s strong, and he’s gonna be okay.”

Heche also shared 13-year-old son Atlas with ex-partner James Tupper, who previously paid tribute to the actress shortly before her death. “Love you forever,” Tupper, 57, wrote in the caption with a broken heart emoji, sharing an image of her from their 2006 ABC show Men in Trees.

Heche had several projects in the works, with her upcoming Lifetime movie Girl in Room 13 premiering Sept. 17. She was also set to star opposite Dermot Mulroney in the upcoming horror-thriller Full Ride and had a recurring role in All Rise on OWN.

  • Cedi depreciation: Kayayei, civil servants buy dollars with their pay – GUTA

President of Ghana Union of Traders Association (GUTA), Dr Joseph Obeng, has disclosed that many Ghanaians, including head potters and civil servants, buy dollars and keep them for the future.

He indicated that these head potters, popularly known as kayayei exchange their Cedi earned from their daily services for dollars awaiting a fall of the cedi to resell them.

These dollars bought by Ghanaians, Dr Obeng said, can be attributed to the frequent depreciation of the local currency against major currencies.

Speaking on Peace FM’s Ade Akye Abia on Monday, he said, “It got to a time that kayayei after working in a day change their wages into dollars.”

“This happened at the time that a pastor asked Ghanaians to pray for the dollar…It got to a time that Ghanaians didn’t have faith in the Cedi. Civil servants also purchased dollars with their pay,” the GUTA President stated.

The local currency – Cedi – has in the past week witnessed a decline in value against major trading currencies, Pounds Sterling, US Dollars and Euros.

The Cedi is currently trading against the dollar at a buying price of GH¢9.55 pesewas and selling at GH¢9.77pesewas.

Against the Pounds Sterling, the Cedi is bought at GH¢11.35 and sold at GH¢11.70.

Meanwhile, the Bank of Ghana (BoG), on the other hand, has entreated Ghanaians to remain calm as it implements pragmatic measures to resolve the cedi depreciation against major trading currencies, especially the US Dollar.

As part of the measures, the central bank said it was increasing foreign currency (FX) supplies to banks in the short term to help meet growing FX demands for external payments.

  • ‘Wag the Dog’ and ‘Donnie Brasco’ star Anne Heche has died at 53

The captivating actress Anne Heche, whose adaptability fueled a commendable career in television and movies spanning four decades, passed away at the age of 53.

An official from Anne Heche’s family informed CNN earlier Sunday night, “Anne Heche has been gently removed off life support,” and later verified the actress had passed away.

NBCUNIVERSAL EVENTS — New Talent Mixer, NBC Portrait Studio — Pictured: (l-r) Anne Heche, “The Brave” and son Homer — (Photo by: Patrick Randak/NBC/NBCU Photo Bank)

On August 5, Heche’s car slammed into a house in Los Angeles and caught fire.
In addition to other serious injuries from the collision, Heche had a “severe anoxic brain injury” as a result of the tragedy, according to a statement from her family and friends to CNN.

Heche was an award-winning actress who appeared in films like the 1998 “Psycho” remake and the rom-com “Six Days Seven Nights” alongside Harrison Ford. She also directed a segment of a 2000 HBO film “If These Walls Could Talk 2” and in her 2001 memoir, she revealed her lifelong struggles with mental illnesses after being abused by her father.

In 1987, Heche made her TV debut on the soap opera “Another World,” a role for which she won a Daytime Emmy. After leaving the show, she began her film career, appearing in acclaimed films including “Donnie Brasco” and “Wag the Dog.”

When Heche and Ellen DeGeneres began dating in 1997 — around the same time DeGeneres came out in real life and on her titular sitcom — they quickly became one of the most famous same-sex couples in the world. The two separated in 2000.

Last year, Heche told Page Six her relationship with DeGeneres resulted in her losing roles, calling herself “patient zero of cancel culture.”

Still, she said, she considered herself “part of the change” that helped normalize same-sex relationships in mainstream culture.

“I’m a part of it,” she told Page Six. “It is a badge of honor.”

In her 2001 memoir, “Call Me Crazy,” she said her father sexually abused her as a child, and she experienced mental illnesses for much of the first 30 years of her life. She told CNN’s Larry King in an interview that year her personality fragmented between herself and a personality she invented as a child to adapt to the abuse.

“I had to live through a lot of life to get to the place where I am now,” she told King. “I had to see truths and work through shame, and I’m very grateful for every step that I took. I don’t think that I could have handled it sooner.”

In 2004, Heche appeared on Broadway in “Twentieth Century,” for which she was nominated for a Tony. In more recent years, Heche returned to television, appearing on series like “The Brave,” “Quantico” and “Chicago P.D.” In 2020, she competed on the 29th season of “Dancing with the Stars.”

Heche’s Hollywood peers responded to news of her crash with support. Her ex-partner and “Men in Trees” co-star James Tupper, with whom she shares one of her two sons, wrote on Instagram: “Thoughts and prayers for this lovely woman, actresss and mother tonight Anne Heche. We love you.”

President of the Ghana Union of Traders Association (GUTA), Dr Joseph Obeng, has accused government of having a hand in the recent free fall of the local currency – Cedi.

According to him, the trading community suspect the Cedi depreciation is a plan by government to underestimate the worth of the currency.

Speaking on Peace FM’s Ade Akye Abia programme with Kwame Nkrumah Tikese on Monday, Dr Joseph Obeng said, the rise in value of the US Dollar will skyrocket the price of goods and services to be purchased before Christmas.

He noted that the amount of money needed for the purchase of goods will double hence, pushing businesses at a loss.

“We are beginning to suspect that depreciation of the cedi is a deliberate plan by government to devalue currency,” the GUTA President stated.

“We are now going to make our Christmas purchases so it means by November the Cedi may hit GH¢10. This means that businesses need GH¢1,000,000 to buy only 100,000 dollars,” he added.

Speaking in the same vein, Dr Joseph Obeng, disclosed that Ghanaian traders are poised to demonstrate against government over the free fall of the local currency against major trading currencies.

He stressed that traders fear their businesses will collapse if the Cedi keeps depreciating.

Meanwhile, the Cedi trading against the dollar at a buying price of GH¢9.55 pesewas and selling at GH¢9.77pesewas.

Against the Pounds Sterling, the Cedi is bought at GH¢11.35 and sold at GH¢11.70.

After losing to Japan in their second group game, Ghana’s Black Princesses are on the verge of being eliminated from the 2022 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The Princesses had to play the most of the game with 10 women when Ghana faced the USA in the tournament’s opening encounter, which it lost 3-0.

Ghana performed admirably in the first half but was unable to score the necessary equalizer.

  • The intriguing tale of Ghana’s black jersey

Despite being known as the “Black Stars,” Ghana’s senior national team has only ever won a match wearing a black jersey.

It appears that the first time the Black Stars donned the black jersey was the last time the national team ever wore one.

Fans believed that the Black Stars’ wearing a black jersey gave them ill luck, and many found various reasons why Ghana should never wear a dark jersey.

AFCON 2006: GHANA vs ZIMBABWE: The real story

The Black Stars lost their first game to Nigeria by 1-0. Taye Taiwo struck a powerful shot to score the only goal in the match for the Super Eagles. Ghana managed to earn a 1-0 win over Senegal in their second game thanks to a goal by Matthew Amoah.

Ghana was on the verge of exiting the tournament, needing a win or draw to progress should in case Senegal lose Nigeria since both teams were tied on points.

Ghana came up against Zimbabwe in their final match in Group D. The Warriors had lost two games and needed a miracle to make it to the knockout phase.

Ghana wore their popular white jersey for the two matches but decided to use the black jersey for the first time. The Black Stars had a tough time playing the Zimbabweans who had nothing to lose in the game.

After a barren first 45 minutes of action, the Warriors came into the second half with all guns blazing.

Zimbabwe managed to find the back of the net in the 59th minute goal after Ghana defender Issah Ahmed scored an own-goal. It was a heart-breaking moment for Ghanaians watching the match.

Ghana’s woes later compounded in the 69th minute when Benjani ran on to a loose ball on the edge of the area and calmly slotted the ball into the net to put Zimbabwe 2-0 up.

At this point, the frustration was buzzing in and Ghana was faced with being knocked out of the AFCON at the group stages.

Ghana’s first serious attack in the Zimbabwe goal was squandered by Stephen Appiah, who was in the right place to latch on to a bouncing ball into the net but the skipper blasted the ball wide.

Ghana eventually scored through substitute Baba Adamu ‘Amando’s’ spectacular strike which gave hope to the Black Stars but soon after the ball returned to the center, the referee blasted the whistle to end the match to the disappointment of Ghanaians.

Ghana played the match without key players like Laryea Kingston Asamoah Gyan, Sulley Muntari and Michael Essien.

After the match, fans phoned in on radio airwaves to register their frustration and describe the black jersey as cursed.

Later when Ghana played at the 2006 World Cup in Germany, the black jersey rather used a stripped red jersey as the away kit and abandoned the black jersey.

Since the sad 2-1 defeat to Zimbabwe on Tuesday January 31, 2006, Ghana has never worn a black jersey.

    ;

The opening goal gave Port City some confidence as they pushed men forward in search of more goals but the defence of Na God FC was equally up to the task as they dealt with the onslaughts.

Ernest Appiah levelled matters for Na God FC in the 63rd minute to send their fans into wild jubilation. The pressure paid off in the 79th minute after the ball touched the hand of a defender in the penalty box after an attempt to clear his lines.

The referee pointed to the spot as he whistled for a penalty in favour of Na God FC. Owusu Brefo sent goalkeeper Saddick Mohammed the wrong way as he smashed a low shot into the bottom corner for the match winner.

  • Crystal Palace interested in signing Ghanaian striker Antoine Semenyo

The Premier League-eligible striker from Ghana, Antoine Semenyo, is wanted by Crystal Palace to boost their offensive line.

The Eagles are seeking a replacement for Christian Benteke up front and think Semenyo can fill that role admirably.

After making an impression in the Championship last season, the club could take a chance on the 22-year-old, who would cost about £12 million.

Palace have been linked with strikers from all over Europe, but a domestic target would be more appropriate for their plans.

The Premier League club are also looking for loan players, but they prefer to invest in players who have the potential to improve.

Semenyo scored eight goals and provided 12 assists last season, earning him a debut call-up to the Ghana national team.

He made his debut for the Black Stars in June in a 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Madagascar in Cape Coast.

It’s surprising to hear that Baba Yara Sports Stadium cannot host Kotoko’s African campaign because such information would have been communicated first to the NSA or GFA,” Appiah told Akoma FM.

“We are currently working consistently on meeting CAF requirements. By the end of August, we should be done with it.” I’m told Kotoko can still appeal to CAF for an inspection to be conducted on the facility. The facility looks good.

He added, “Fans of Kotoko should be calm, I am confident that with the efforts of other stakeholders, their games will be played here in Kumasi.”

“If Blacks Stars were able to play here against Nigeria which was more crucial, how much more African games.”
