Friends, fans, and fellow artists gathered to pay their respects during Mohbad’s candlelight service, which was filled with melancholy and nostalgia. The light from the candles signified the passing part of life, which was heavy with whispered farewells and unshed tears

Amidst this somber assembly, a moment unfolded, silent yet profound, reflecting the underlying grief in many hearts. While on stage, Davido was offered a bottle of water, which he declined. To an outsider, this might appear inconsequential, a mere preference. Yet, those familiar with Mohbad’s tragic passing saw depth in this simple act. It wasn’t just a rejection; it was an echo of Mohbad’s final painful revelation, a whisper of camaraderie, and possibly, a shadow of self-preservation.

Before his untimely demise, Mohbad shared a haunting video from his hospital bed, alleging that the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) had given him a poisoned water bottle. • Eyewitness provides insights into the circumstances surrounding MohBad’s demise

Eyewitness provides insights into the circumstances surrounding MohBad’s demise

Surprising revelations have emerged from an individual who was present at the hospital where the late MohBad was admitted prior to his unfortunate passing. These eyewitness accounts provide additional insight into the tragic sequence of events that unfolded on that fateful Tuesday, September 12.

According to one eyewitness who left a voicemail message to reiterate their account, MohBad was still very much alive upon his arrival at the hospital. This eyewitness disclosed that they had been in the hospital’s lobby when MohBad, accompanied by his friends, arrived seeking medical attention.

When the witness approached the artist, expressing a desire to take a photograph with him despite his evident condition, MohBad displayed no signs of arrogance or reluctance. In fact, he readily agreed and posed for the photograph, although the weariness in his eyes was noticeable. Following this interaction, MohBad proceeded to check into a designated medical room.

Approximately 30 minutes later, the eyewitness observed a sudden surge of activity among the medical staff and individuals present in the room where MohBad had been admitted. These details shed light on the circumstances surrounding MohBad’s visit to the hospital and the events leading up to his untimely demise.

He claims that the staff told him MohBad had died. The witness thought it strange that MohBad’s buddies had removed his “lifeless” body from the hospital so quickly, even though he was completely naked.

This eyewitness raised a crucial point: “Why did MohBad’s companions not leave him in the hospital for a longer amount of time, allowing the medical professionals to at least attempt to save him? Many others were puzzled and looking for answers as they hurried out of the hospital.”

Due to the fact that this narrative is based solely on the testimony of one eyewitness, its credibility cannot be verified. MohBad’s death is still unknown.

Mohbad’s father explains reason for burying him early

The father of the Nigerian musician Mohbad has finally provided an explanation for the hasty burial of his son.

Following Mohbad’s untimely death, which occurred a few days prior, social media was flooded with videos of his burial, prompting some individuals to question the authenticity of the reports.

Mr. Joseph Aloba, who serves as a pastor, has conducted a series of interviews to address these concerns and confirm the reality of his son’s burial.

He affirmed that Mohbad had indeed been laid to rest, and the decision to do so promptly was deliberate. In accordance with Yoruba cultural traditions, the father explained that when someone passes away at a young age, it is customary to conduct an early burial.

Therefore, the family opted to adhere to this cultural practice by arranging for Mohbad’s burial shortly after his unfortunate demise.

He said: “In Yoruba land, his corpse is not the kind to be kept when both of his parents are still alive. Assuming he died at an older age, we might have considered putting his body in the mortuary and taking it at a later date. That same night we took him away from there and buried him where we did.”

His father explained that he was buried on the yam farm because it was the only piece of land his son owned and it was the only place he could think of to bury him because he originally gave it to him for a church.

“That land where Mohbad was buried is his only land, that’s the only land I know him to have owned. Truly he gave me the land to build my church because we had both agreed to build the church there, and since that’s the only land I knew him to have…” he noted.

  • Over 47,000 petition ban on Marlian Music after MohBad’s death

Over 47,000 petition ban on Marlian Music after MohBad’s death

A petition titled “Ban Marlian Music” has reportedly garnered over 47,000 signatures from fans of the late singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Imole, known as Mohbad, who seek the prohibition of Marlian music.

The campaigners accuse Marlian Records, owned by Nigerian artiste Naira Marley, of disguising itself as a record label while operating as a drug syndicate.

Following Mohbad’s sudden death, controversies surrounding the circumstances have arisen, implicating figures like Naira Marley and Sam Larry.

A video depicting Sam Larry and others harassing Mohbad on a music set led to widespread outrage, with many Nigerians criticizing them on social media.

In an apparent quest for justice for the deceased singer, the petition campaigners claim that Marlian Records recruits young boys for drug peddling and related activities, citing Mohbad’s case as an example of the tragic consequences.

“The perpetrators of the acts include Sam Larry And Naira Marley as evidence are being opened up to the public about how he was beaten, trailed as well as killed by these men – Sam Larry And Naira Marley.

“Survived by a wife and a child just a little below 24 months of age.”

They said Mohbad, had petitioned Larry, Elebe, and others months before his death in respect to threat to his life, malicious damage of property, and oppression, among others. But the police didn’t do anything about the situation because they claimed he failed to show up when invited.

The campaigners who called for a thorough investigation into the matter further noted, “The Nigerian Police Force received this petition in June 2023; they refused to act, claiming he didn’t show up when he was invited to defend his petition against his adversaries – Sam Larry and others after months of waiting.

“Sam Larry was said to have filed a counter-petition against Mohbad.”

“It’s possible he was prevented from doing so or silenced by Sam Larry and others.

“The citizens are left with dashed hopes towards the capabilities of the Nigerian police force as they have failed to uphold to their utmost responsibility “protection of lives and property of citizens “; an instance could be seen in the case of Nnnamdi Emeh who was arrested and detained for being a whistleblower as well as.

“Exposing the undercover activities of the Anambra police in respect to harvest and trade of human organs, detaining innocent citizens etc. The alleged culprits, Princess, as well as Csp Patrick, are said to be walking freely today, whilst the whistleblower Nnamdi Emeh is still detained/barely heard from.

“We call on the Government as a whole to intervene on all these matters.

“The citizens, fans both in Nigeria and in diaspora demand for Justice to be met!.. Investigations should be carried out thoroughly on the Marlian Music Brand, not leaving behind all evidence being provided to the public.”

Remember that after his passing, a petition purportedly written by the late singer and dated June 27, 2023 surfaced, in which he alleged that he had received numerous threats against his life from Samson Balogun, aka Sam Larry, a controversial socialite.

The petition was sent to the Nigeria Police Force’s Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Force Criminal Investigation Department Annex, Alagbon Close, Ikoyi, Lagos.
