Ghanaian actress, Nana Ama McBrown, showed young children love by giving them shoes that belonged to her now four-year-old daughter, Maxin Mawushi Mensah.
In a video seen by the media, the United Showbiz host on UTV shared a package full of baby shoes with the children, who could not contain their joy.
In addition to the shoes, the actress also donated a full pack of baby diapers to some of the children.

This unconfirmed rumour emanates from a TikToker identified as Gloria Enyonam – who hinted at McBrowns resignation in a video she posted on the video-based app.

In the clip sighted by GHPage, the Tiktoker entreated McBrown, who has been swamped with ambassadorial deals, to focus on her commercials to protect her brand and dignity from further humiliation.
However, the loudmouth Tiktok star failed to emphatically state what broke the camel’s back for McBrown to quit her job but seemingly hinted that McBrown may have dragged her employers – that is Fada Dickson and the management of UTV to court – over the issue.
She is heard saying that McBrown’s employers are facing a hard time resolving the matter amicably as they cannot afford a good lawyer.
You may have noticed that McBrown has been off her popular United Showbiz Show for a while now but the actress is yet to disclose whether she’s quit or not.
The past few weeks have seen different people hosting the show with media personalities, Abeiku Santana and MzGee hosting the recent editions.
Earlier, rumours swirled that McBrown has taken a break from TV because she has returned to her doctors for a check-up and maintenance of her injured right arm as she did previously.

Ghanaian actress cum media personality, Nana Ama Mcbrown, has marked ten years of surviving a tragic motor accident that nearly claimed her life and that of her husband.
One can recall that on January 30, 2013, she was reportedly involved in a car accident on the George Walker Bush Highway, just around Lapaz, at about 2am dawn.
Maxwell Mensah, who was then her boyfriend, was said to have also been badly affected as the two were rushed to the 37 Military Hospital.
Maxwell, who narrated the incident after recovering from unconsciousness at that time, said a vehicle crossed their path as they were returning from a movie shoot.
Ten years on, Nana Ama Mcbrown is still thanking God for sparing her life.
The actress, who was spotted on a vacation with her husband at an undisclosed location, shared a video of themselves on social media with the caption;

The video was captured at the funeral rites of Borga Silvia’s senior sister’s funeral ceremony which was held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 in Kumasi.

Controversial dancehall musician, Shatta Wale, has averred that Ghanaian actress and TV show host, Nana Ama McBrown lacks presentation skills.
According to the “On God” artiste in an Instagram live, the actress was unqualified to serve as a presenter on UTV.
“Nana Ama McBrown is an actress, Nana Ama McBrown doesn’t know anything about presenting. Sometimes she can present and someone can counter her,” he said.
“Let us be real in this life, it’s stupid. You, people, are villagers. Stupid people. You are worrying Ghanaians, you are worrying Ghanaians. It’s nonsense. That’s why you all can’t stop me. That’s what you all deserve. Stupid!” he ranted.
He also pleaded with Fada Dickson to reconsider their objectives since he finds many of their shows to be absurd.
“Fada Dickson I beg, I respect you and Despite so much because the innovations, the idea, the vision that you people have for this country is helping a lot of people.”

Media personality and actress, Nana Ama McBrown was spotted in a traditional regalia on Saturday, December 10, 2022.
This was during the premiere of a new movie, ‘Asantewaa, Battle for the Golden Stool’ at the Silverbird Cinema in Accra.
The movie which is a 3D animation was based on the story of Yaa Asantewaa, Queen Mother of Ejisu who sought to protect the Golden Stool.
The Golden Stool is regarded as a symbol of unity of the Ashanti Kingdom.
The lead character was voiced by Nana Ama McBrown who was seated at the foyer of the cinema when patrons turned up for the Saturday premiere.
Amid the beating of traditional drums, she danced ‘Adowa, a traditional dance mostly performed by the Akans.
She executed the moves to an ensemble in her intriguing royal attire.
Nana Ama was accompanied by TV personality, Kwasi Kyei Darkwah (KKD). Asantewaa was directed by Mills Media’s Jessie Sunkwa- Mills.

Afia Schwarzenegger has continued to keep her social media pages active with videos and photos which suggest that she is not behind bars despite the court order.
As reported by GhanaWeb, a High Court sentenced the actress and comedienne to 10-day imprisonment in relation to a lawsuit by Chairman Wontumi, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party.
Afia and four others Fadda Dickson Narh, Nana Ama McBrown, A Plus, Mr Logic were cited for contempt of court.
The host of United Showbiz, Nana Ama McBrown, and two of her guests, were made to pay a fine of GH¢65,000 each.
Afia Schwarzenegger was not in court last Thursday when the case was called, however, her sentencing was made in her absence.
The subject of her whereabouts has dominated social media conversations with some informants who claim to know her ‘hiding place’ providing information to police on social media.
The outspoken comedienne who has a significant social media following on Thursday morning took to her TikTok page to clap back at haters and informants.

Emil Wood, popularly known as Nana Tonardo, has slammed Kwame A Plus for criticizing the court’s judgement in which some UTV panelists including himself were fined GHC65,000 each.
On December 1, 2022, the court slapped UTV’s United Showbiz host, Nana Ama Mcbrown, and some panelists including Kwame A Plus and Mr. Logic an amount of GHC65,000 each in a defamation suit filed by NPP’s Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, Chairman Wontumi.
Afia Schwarzenegger, who allegedly championed and stirred the insults against Chairman Wontumi has also been ordered to serve a 10-day jail term.
But sharing his thoughts on the issue, Kwame A Plus thinks the court did not give them a fair hearing.
In a discussion on the United Showbiz following the judgement, a displeased Kwame A Plus described as exorbitant the amount they were instructed to pay among other concerns.
However, Nana Tonardo has taken to social media to slam A Plus for criticizing the court’s judgement.
Describing A Plus as a disrespectful young lad, Nana Tonardo issued a stern warning to the former concerning what he described as the incessant habit of disrespecting elders in the country.
“Kwame A Plus. I used to respect you a lot. I used to regard you a lot as a senior brother and colleague in the industry. But I can see that you don’t respect yourself. I have realized that you don’t respect anyone either. You are fond of disrespecting elders including the president. You disrespected Chairman Wontumi and when the court issued their judgement you had the nerve to criticize it. You had the effrontery to compare how much you would have been fined if it were to be Mahama’s government. You have been stupid for long for saying this government is useless. Did this government ask you to go and insult Chairman Wontumi on live TV? You parade yourself as though you are untouchable. You talk and insult anyhow but I can assure you that your time will come,” he stated in a video shared on Instagram

Actress and host of United Showbiz on UTV, Nana Ama McBrown, has explained her side of the story after she was fined a total of GH¢65,000 by the court for contempt.
This was in relation to a lawsuit by Chairman Wontumi, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party.
According to McBrown, she has learned her lessons and promised to tread cautiously on her show together with her guests to avert a similar situation in the future.
The celebrated actress also offered a piece of advice to media personalities as well as social media commentators to be measured when discussing matters on their show to prevent being sued, fined by a court, or landing behind bars.
“We were in court on Thursday and I just want to share my story to serve as a deterrent to others. This is for people who work on radio, television, and social media. Today is my turn, yours might be next but I pray that this might be the last. I don’t want to see anyone in trouble.
“In the end, the judge ruled that our boss at UTV, Fadda Dickson was discharged. It was I, the host, A Plus, and Mr Logic who were fined, I must say that we were so lucky. The fine was a warning to us but I must thank God for his grace. We were able to instantly pay our fine due to his blessings upon our lives. We had the strength and means to settle it and paid to the court. We paid GH¢60,000 each to the court and an extra GH¢5000 to the lawyer,” McBrown detailed by thanking God for the opportunity to be blessed with money to settle her debt.
As earlier reported by GhanaWeb, Fadda Dickson Narh, Nana Ama McBrown, A Plus, Mr Logic and Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa, better known as Afia Schwarzenegger were cited for contempt of court. However, Afia Schwarzenegger was sentenced to 10 days in prison because she was not in court on Thursday when the case was called.

Information received just now indicates that Afia Schwar has been sentenced to 10 days in prison by the High Court “B” Tema for defaming Chairman Wontumi.
The court also convicted the host of United Showbiz Nana Ama McBrown and her panellists Kwame A Plus and Mr Logic for contempt of court over a court application filed by Antwi Boasiako also known as Chairman Wontumi.
The contemnors have been charged to pay GHc5,000 to the applicant while Afia Schwar was fined 5,000 penalty units (GHc60,000). A bench warrant has been issued for the arrest of Afia Schwar.

Nigerian artiste Mr Eazi has shared a series of videos on his social media handles cheering the Black Stars of Ghana when the team played against their South Korean counterparts in Qatar at the FIFA World Cup 2022.
The artiste, who was present at the stadium and in several interviews called Ghana his ‘other home aside from Nigeria’ was captured screaming and shouting whenever the Black Stars team scored a goal.

Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mark Okraku-Mantey has asked United Showbiz host, Nana Ama Mcbrown to be mindful of the continuous peddling of defamatory comments by guests and panelists on her show.
Mr. Okraku-Mantey said over the period, these individuals have passed countless derogatory comments which have been overlooked by the presenter and this according to him, could land her in serious trouble.
He said most often, McBrown fails to issue disclaimers to the numerous allegations raised by her guests or pundits.
“Nana Ama McBrown, my sister. The job that you have involved yourself, if you want to do it and do it well, please be mindful. The defamatory comments that people usually say about others on your show, correct it, so, we don’t come back here. I won’t say she doesn’t have enough knowledge about what she does but a lot has been said on that show that if the victims want to take her on, she would go to court every day.
“What she doesn’t know is if someone says such things on your show and you don’t issue a disclaimer, you have also done a repeated publication during the defamation. You can be sued together with Despite media,” Okraku-Mantey stated during a discussion on Peace FM’s Entertainment Review show.
The deputy minister’s comments come on the premise of some claims that have been leveled against him on the show lately.
The United Showbiz program has witnessed back-to-back allegations from the likes of actress Salma Mumin and musician Tic against Mr. Okraku-Mantey recently.
Tic claimed that Mark Okraku-Mantey once spoke ill of his concert whiles Salma accused the deputy minister of being an arrogant judge during TV3’s “Ghana’s Most Beautiful” pageant.

Ghanaian actress, Clara Benson, popularly known as Maame Serwaa, has disclosed that she constantly trains at the gym to keep her body in shape and also shed some weight.
Although many claim that she has enhanced her body by going under the knife, this 23-year-old actress has stated that she owns nobody an explanation.
“We are growing, the Maame Serwaa, you know, when she was 16 years old, can’t remain the same forever. In some women, their features appear enhanced. You shouldn’t assume that one has gone under the knife. Some will even say that you are overeating.
“When I was younger, I had smaller boobs, but as time goes on, I see them developing. I don’t have a child but it has grown bigger, you get it? It is life, you will have changes…I am training, I want to manage it…it is normal,” she disclosed in an interview with Daily View GH.
According to Maame Serwaa, a woman has every right to do whatever she pleases with her body, especially when she does not feel comfortable in her own body.

Empress Gifty on October 15, 2022, laid to rest her deceased grandmother and sister at Kokwado Park New Takoradi with the support of family, friends, and some colleagues in the music industry.

“Celestine Donkor is a hypocrite…let me explain her hypocritic act and if it isn’t hypocrisy I will withdraw it. Did you realize that Celestin Donkor posted photos of Empress Gifty’s grandmother and sister’s funeral on her Facebook page?” she quizzed.
The outspoken pundit claimed that Empress Gifty admitted to her during a phone call conversation that Celestine failed to send a message of condolence to her.
“Celestine, when you organized your program in New York, Empress Adorye booked a flight to support you. She came to support her sister. She bought a plane ticket from Ghana to New York. Celestine didn’t attend the funeral, but when she saw the likes of Nana Ama McBrown gracing it, she shared it, following the trends. What was her motive? You didn’t even show up.
“I asked Empress whether this lady had even called her and she said she never received a condolence message from her. She never sent a text message. So why did she post the funeral? It is a personal question I am asking her…her attitude towards Empress is bad…she was invited to the funeral,” Sally alleged.

Struck by the death of the late veteran actor Ekow Blankson, popular Ghanaian actress Nana Ama McBrown has taken to social media to offer a touching tribute to his colleague.
The actress is one of the many showbiz personalities and sympathizers worldwide that have been left in a state of shock following the passing of the late Mr. Blankson.
The veteran actor, whose sudden demise was announced on the morning of Monday, October 3, 2022, has since sparked various reactions from several Ghanaian celebrities, including the likes of Kobi Rana, Gloria Osei, Prince David Osei, John Dumelo, Roselyn Ngissah, Beverly Afaglo, Martha Ankomah, Captain Planet, and many others who have shared fond memories of him.
In the case of Nana Ama McBrown, she was soaked with a mixture of sadness, fright, and disappointment as she questioned why the actor would depart at this point in his life.
She prayed to God to preserve the lives of people, especially parents, for the sake of their young children.
“Ohhhhhh this Life We are living. Why is it like this? Ohh, Ekow B. So sorry my brother, God favour us. Let us live long because our children are young. Please, please, God. I’m so sad and broken,” she wrote on Instagram.
The late Ekow Blankson is reported to have died while he was on admission at a hospital in Tema, following a short illness.

Nana Ama Mcbrown received her fair share of critique when immediate past CEO of 3Music Networks, Baba Sadiq, and NPP Kpone Katamanso Parliamentary candidate, Hopeson Adorye threw verbal punches at each other during UTV’s United Showbiz program.
The popular actress who doubles as the United Showbiz host wasn’t spared by Mr. Hopeson Adorye who labeled her as ‘biased’ for sitting aloof while Baba Sadiq disrespected him.
Sadiq poked the NPP stalwart while claiming that he has freely offered himself to run the party’s ‘dirty jobs’.
His comments were necessitated by Mr. Adorye’s claim that Baba Sadiq was part of an agenda that saw to the recruitment of some 75 young men from Fadama to heckle President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo at the Global Citizen concert.
Hopeson Adorye, alleged that Sadiq, together with the likes of NDC’s Alhassan Suhuyini, and Larry Dogbe bused these 75 young men to the venue purposely to hoot at the president.
“Sadiq of 3Music Awards is an industry player and has a connection with the lead organizers, he and Larry Dogbe and Suhuyini met at a particular place to plan. They contracted 75 boys from Fadama and paid each one of them GH¢120. The videos trending is a testament to it. It was from one particular shot,” he stated earlier in an interview with Accra FM.
In a bid to debunk the said claims, an infuriated Baba Sadiq went berserk and threw jabs at the NPP politician.
“Even people in his party are telling me to forget about him and that he isn’t well. You look at a young man who is working very hard and you want to trash him. I am not just an industry player; I am an investor. It is not a free event.
“He thinks it is a free event that people were bused to the venue. You’d have to go online, answer some questions and it will direct you to an IP. The data of every single person that attended the event has been recorded.
“At your level and age, don’t put yourself in a situation where people will have to disrespect you. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Sammy Awuku and Samuel Jinapor came to meet you, why is it that when there is a dirty job it has to be you and not them,” he stated on UTV’s United Showbiz.
But in the heat of the moment, Mr. Adorye called out the host, Nana Ama Mcbrown, for allowing Baba Sadiq speak of him in such manner.
“You made me sit here patiently just to listen to this stupid talk, the lies and disrespect from this young man. How can you condone such?
“I could have equally spewed rubbish but I chose to remain calm and that doesn’t mean I am stupid. I am not happy about how you handled this issue at all. Let me state on record that I don’t like how you handled this,” he remarked in Twi.

Ghanaian entertainment pundit and artiste manager, Bulldog, has dared some government officials in the Akufo-Addo-led administration supposedly threatening to arrest him.
Speaking on the United Showbiz Show hosted by Nana Ama McBrown, the outspoken pundit expressed that he supports the president being booed.
According to him, after his statement, he received several phone calls from some people at the presidency threatening to deal with him.
“They asked me if the booing was good and I supported it, I said yes it was good for them to boo the president,” he said.
“After that, I got follow-up calls threatening me and more that they will jail me. I am telling them to watch me, they should jail me.
“You guys at the jubilee house or wherever, come and jail me. I swear…[pause]…come and jail me. Because of you guys, can’t we talk? Come and jail me. I am waiting for you,” he added.
Bulldog’s fury follows a booing incident that went down at the Global Citizen festival where the president wasn’t given the chance to start his speech on a good note and was met with an angry crowd that booed him to get off the stage.
A section of the crowd could be heard clapping and chanting “away, away” while thousands of patrons at the venue witnessed the Global Citizen Festival which had several local and international artistes performing.

Nana Ama Mcbrown said that she threw a housewarming party at her new home and invited Kwame A Plus who then attended a party with 6 of his friends of which Maxwell Mensah was a part of.
However, they did not talk much as she only treated him as a guest just like others who also attended her party. She said that a year later, Maxwell started calling her and requested to meet her and paid her a visit at her house on his birthday.
Nana Ama McBrown added that one thing led to another and they started a relationship.

Veteran Ghanaian actress and television personality, Nana Ama McBrown, has refuted claims that she has gone under the knife for Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) surgery.
According to the actress, although she has gone in for liposuction, she did not opt for a butt lift.
Answering a question posed to her by popular entertainment pundit, Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo, on if she has gone for a butt lift, the celebrated actress explained that although a lot of people have been dragging her name for going in for a butt enhancement, she has never done that before and does not intend to do that at the moment.
“I have not done my bums, and at the moment I do not intend to do so,†Nana
Ama McBrown made this known on Saturday, August 6 edition of the United Showbiz Show.
The actress, however, confirmed that she has gone in for liposuction, a technique in cosmetic surgery for removing excess fat from under the skin by suction.
She went ahead to advise and caution women, especially against going in for body-enhancing procedures such as liposuction.
She said, “It is true, I have done liposuction. However, I would never advise any woman to go in for liposuction surgery.â€
Touching on why she went in for liposuction, Nana Ama McBrown revealed that after childbirth, she exercised to trim her tummy but all her efforts proved futile.
It was as a result that she went in for the tummy procedure.

Ghanaian actress and media personality, Nana Ama McBrown Mensah, has gotten many stunned as we enter a new month, August.
The empress celebrates her birthday on August 15, and to initiate herself into her birthday month, she released some breathtaking photos.
She wore a red skirt that had a cut at the front. She wore a black crop blazer which had some flowers embroidered on the right part of it. It was a red and black affair as she put on accessories of that those colours to complement her look.
Captioning the post on her Instagram page, she shared that she was happy since it was her birth month, and that she would love to celebrate it with her fervent followers.
She hinted at having a number of surprises for her followers as she will be marking another milestone in her life.

In May this year, the host of United Showbiz, Nana Ama McBrown clarified that she hasn’t been sacked from United Television (UTV) as reported by some blogs.
She explained that her absence from her show had nothing to do with dismissal and urged fans to ignore such rumours including one that claimed she had welcomed twins.
“I have not been sacked, no! I have not been sacked. We are family. UTV is home, they are family. I have not been sacked, no, no. I won’t say I can’t be sacked, who am I? It is a home, my family,” she stated in a video published on her YouTube channel.
Fast forward to June 21, a delegation from the media house visited the actress and presenter to see how she was faring and also offered prayers for “quick recovery”. This confirmed that she was rather on sick leave.
A member of the delegation thanked God for Nana Ama’s life and prayed for a full recovery that will enable her to return to host her show following months of absence.
The actress looked hale and hearty as she exchanged pleasantries with the team led by Fadda Dickson at her residence in Accra.

An Accra Circuit Court will on March 25, start the trial of Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, aka, Bulldog, who allegedly threatened President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in a video telecast on air.
Nana Ama Agyemang Mcbrown, an actress and hostess of a United Television programme upon which the infraction with the law occurred, is expected to mount the witness box as a prosecution witness, the Ghana News Agency has gathered.
Hanson, an Artiste Manager, is alleged to have said on that programme that “The President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will not finish his four year term if he failed to pay customers of an alleged ponzo scheme by Menzgold.
Prosecution led by Chief Inspector Simon Apiorsornu, has retaken the plea of Hanson and re-read the facts of the case after amending the charge sheet and the facts.
Hanson has denied the charge of “Offensive conduct to breaches of the peace.â€
The Court, presided over by Mrs. Evelyn Asamoah, admitted Hanson to his former bail of GH¢ 70,000.
Meanwhile the accused has been served with disclosures and all the documents prosecution intended to rely on.
This was after a case management conference had been conducted with accused and the prosecution, agreeing on timelines on which the case would be conducted.
The new facts as presented by prosecution were that the complainants in the case are citizens and regular viewers of UTV programme dubbed “United Showbiz,†hosted by Nana Ama Agyemang Mcbrown, which is live every Saturday between the hours of 2100 and 1100.
The prosecution said on January 9, this year, the programme was aired on UTV as usual and the accused was one of the panelists who appeared on the show.
Chief Inspector Apiorsornu said during the programme, the issue of Menzgold was raised and Hanson quickly responded that “The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo will not finish his four year tenure if he failed to pay Menzgold customers.”
The Prosecution said on January 11, this year, the Police intercepted the said video recording on the face book page of UTV, which attracted many comments from viewers who watched and heard the accused making those “unguided†comments.
The prosecution said on January 12, this year, Hanson was handed over to the Police by the National Intelligence Bureau for investigations.
He said in the course of the investigations, the Police requested for the original video recording from UTV and it was played to the accused and he admitted having made those comments.
The Prosecution said the original video, which was in Twi and English language was forwarded to the Ghana Institute of Languages for transcription and same was transcribed into English language.
