The UK is sending two Royal Navy ships and surveillance planes to the eastern Mediterranean to make security stronger, according to the government.
It has been six days since Hamas attacked Israel unexpectedly, and there has been a lot of violence since then.
The airplane will start looking for potential dangers to the area’s safety starting from Friday. This includes keeping an eye out for any illegal movement of weapons to terrorist organizations.
Three Merlin helicopters and Royal Marines are also being sent out.
Rishi Sunak talked to Israel’s leader on Thursday to confirm that the UK still stands by their side.
Downing Street said that he called Benjamin Netanyahu to show his strong support for Israel after Hamas committed a terrible terrorist attack.
Number 10 said that they will send soldiers to help increase security in the nearby area soon. They also repeated that the UK supports Israel in fighting against terrorism.
Defense Secretary Grant Shapps stated that these vessels are not warships, but rather ships that can help with hospital facilities.
He said that sending the boats was also meant to stop others from getting involved in the area and to criticize outside influence.
When someone asked about how Israel is reacting to the attacks, the defense secretary said that Israel has the right to protect itself. He also explained that, unlike Hamas, Israel is giving warnings beforehand that it will go after Hamas terrorists, which is the correct action to take.
Mr Sunak talked to Egyptian President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi about opening the Rafah crossing in Gaza. This is important because it will allow for humanitarian aid to reach the area and will also provide a way for British and other citizens to leave.
The prime minister wants to strengthen the military teams in Israel, Cyprus, and other places in the region, in order to help with planning for unexpected situations.
He said that the UK’s military and diplomatic teams in the area will help other countries in making sure things are safe and that help gets to the many innocent people affected by a cruel attack done by Hamas terrorists.
Hamas did a really big attack in southern Israel on Saturday. They killed at least 1,300 people and took about 150 hostages to Gaza.
Over 1,300 people have died in Gaza because of Israel’s air strikes in response.
The Foreign Office is helping British people stuck in Israel fly back home. The first plane was supposed to depart from Tel Aviv on Thursday. More planes are also scheduled to leave in the near future, but this depends on security conditions.

French lawmakers shield as antisemitism rises
The French police are protecting the houses of important members of Parliament because they are worried about violence targeted at Jewish people caused by Israel’s conflict with Hamas.
Police are taking care of National Assembly President Yaël Braun-Pivet and MP Meyer Habib to keep them safe.
The interior minister of France said that 100 acts of antisemitism have been documented since Saturday.
In another decision, Germany’s leader announced that they will not tolerate antisemitism.
He informed the parliament that a group supporting Palestinians, who had praised the killings of Israeli civilians, would no longer be allowed.
French President Emmanuel Macron was scheduled to meet with political leaders and speak on TV in order to prevent the conflict from getting worse.
In France, there are around 500,000 Jewish people, which is the largest Jewish community in Europe.
The Interior Minister, Gérald Darmanin, said on France Inter radio that they have recorded more than 100 acts of antisemitism since the hostilities started.
This text describes graffiti that includes symbols like swastikas, hateful messages against Jews, and calls for violent actions against Israel. However, there have been cases where people were caught trying to bring knives into schools and synagogues.
It has been found out that the Assembly President, Yaël Braun-Pivet, has been threatened with death.
A person from President Emmanuel Macron’s party, called Renaissance, made sure that the parliament building was illuminated in the colors of the Israeli flag. This was in response to an attack by Hamas on Israel. They also requested a moment of silence before a meeting of the Assembly on Tuesday.
Ms Braun-Pivet also said that Maryam Abu Daqqa, who is part of a group called the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), will not be allowed to go to a movie showing at the parliament next month. The EU considers the militant organization as a group of terrorists.
Meyer Habib is also being kept safe. He represents a group of French citizens living abroad, which includes Israel and the Palestinian Territories, and speaks out in favor of Israel. After the attack by Hamas, he said “we are seeing the recurrence of violent attacks against a specific group of people”.
French politics has been deeply divided and affected by the Hamas attack and what happened afterwards.
Many parties have criticized the “terrorist attack” on Saturday and shown support for Israel’s right to retaliate. However, Jean-Luc Mélenchon’s far-left La France Insoumise (France Unbowed) party had a less clear response.
The party called the Hamas attack a “violent attack by Palestinian forces. ” This upset other parties, including allies on the left like the Socialist and Communist parties.
In Germany, Chancellor Olaf Scholz said to MPs in the Bundestag that protecting Israel’s safety is a priority for the German government.
He said that Samidoun, a group supporting Palestine, which was seen giving out candies in Berlin’s Neukölln area to celebrate the Hamas attack, will be forbidden. “He said we do not accept or allow hate towards Jewish people. ”
German authorities have reported that in various towns throughout the country, like Mainz, Braunschweig, and Heilbronn, Israeli flags that were put up to show support for Israel were pulled down and damaged, sometimes within a short span of time.
Braunschweig’s mayor, Thorsten Kornblum, said that the act shows disrespect and makes fun of the victims of Hamas’s attack.

Chris Rock expressed interest in taking me out – Jada Smith
Actress and talk show host Jada Pinkett Smith has revealed that even Chris Rock had expressed interest in the state of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith’s marriage in recent years, which has attracted a lot of media attention.
“Every summer all the reports would come out that me and Will were getting a divorce,” Pinkett Smith told People magazine. “And this particular summer, Chris [Rock], he thought that we were getting a divorce. So he called me and basically he was like, ‘I’d love to take you out.’”

Twitter to eliminate ‘illegal’ Hamas content
X, which used to be called Twitter, has informed the European Union that it has either deleted or alerted them about a large number of posts or messages since the time when Hamas launched an attack on Israel.
The head of the company, Linda Yaccarino, mentioned that they have deleted many accounts.
The EU gave X a deadline of 24 hours to explain how it was following the rules of European law.
It took action because it noticed that false information about the conflict was spreading on social media, like fake pictures and wrongly titled videos.
The EU has said that it had signs that X was being used to spread illegal content and false information in Europe.
Meta, the company that owns Facebook and Instagram, has received a warning from the EU about spreading false information. They have been given a deadline of 24 hours to address the issue.
The EU did not say anything about whether they heard back from Meta, but a spokesperson from the European Commission said they are still talking to the company’s teams who ensure they follow the rules.
The company’s CEO, Ms. Yaccarino, explained that they have rearranged their resources and teams within the company to better handle the content.
“She said that X is dedicated to being open and clear, prioritizing safety, and making sure the Digital Services Act is successful. X will keep working hard to achieve these goals. ”
EU commissioner Thierry Breton wants X and Meta to show evidence of promptly and carefully taking fair and unbiased measures.
In August 2023, the EU made new rules that control the type of things people can post on the internet.
The Digital Services Act wants big online platforms to delete illegal content and prove they have done something about it if asked.
The EU told the BBC that it cannot currently say anything about what will happen next in these particular cases. However, they explained what could possibly happen according to the law.
The DSA lets the EU do interviews and inspections, and if it’s not happy, it can start a formal investigation.
If the commission thinks a platform has not followed the rules or is not solving the issues it found, and has the potential to harm users, it can take stronger actions.
This can mean that the platform may have to pay a large amount of money as a punishment, and if necessary, it can ask judges to stop the platform from operating in the EU for a little while. -

Traffic going to Baltimore/Washington Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) was stopped on Wednesday because police were looking into a bomb threat involving a vehicle.
The roads going to and from the international airport in Maryland were shut down for a serious police investigation at around 3. 00pm
The airport said that traffic going to the airport is not allowed right now. People in the terminal should stay where they are for now.
CNN was informed by sources that someone had threatened to explode a bomb inside a car parked near the airport curb.
At around 4. 20pm, the airport reported that the police confirmed that the vehicle in question was safe, and they would gradually start opening the roads again.
They are still looking into what happened. -
Special soldiers from Ukraine invade Crimean beaches covertly
Ukrainian special forces carried out a bold attack on annexed Crimea this week. Commanders have told Vladimir Putin that this is just the start.
A group of 16 highly skilled soldiers attacked the area in the south of Ukraine that has been ruled by Russia since 2014. They carried out this mission during the early hours of Wednesday morning.
A video showed a group of soldiers called the Artan Special Forces Unit using five small boats that go fast on water and a bigger boat to reach the west coast. They then started fighting with the Russians in a very intense battle.
Ukraine said it caused a lot of damage to their enemies, but they also admitted that they experienced losses which included one of their soldiers being captured by Russian soldiers.
Their goal has been widely talked about after videos showed Ukrainian soldiers putting their country’s flag on the shore during the attack.
But now Ukraine is telling Russia that they have more secret attacks planned, and this time they will be even more secretive about them.
Artan commander Viktor Torkotiuk hinted that secret missions are already happening and will only be made known at a later time.
A very exciting moment occurred when Ukrainian soldiers attacked Crimea using jet-skis and fast boats.
“This operation by the Security and Defence Forces of Ukraine in Crimea is not the first one, and there will be more in the future,” he explained.

The Special Forces fought hard against the Russian invaders in the taken land and caused big damage to the enemy.
Russia arrested a member of the raid team, identified as Alexander Lyubos, aged 46, and he was displayed on Russian television.With his hands tied behind his back, he spoke on a channel owned by the Russian Defence Ministry. He said he was a soldier from Ukraine’s Chief Directorate of Defence Intelligence, Unit 0336.
While being questioned by the people who captured him, he admitted that the goal of the mission was to put a Ukrainian flag on Crimea.
A Ukrainian commander said that the Artan soldiers also fought at sea on their way back from a mission in Crimea.
The bad guys tried to follow the Special Forces in speedy boats with help from the air.
A spokesperson for Kyiv military intelligence, Andrey Yusov, said that there was a fight with the Russian invaders.
Many of the people who attacked were killed or injured.
Sadly, some Ukrainian soldiers have died, but the number of Russian casualties is much higher. A special plan is being carried out to take back control of Crimea.

Gaza’s only power plant doesn’t have any more fuel and its back-up generators may also stop working soon.
Medical centers are very busy because Israel put a “complete siege” on Gaza and attacked the area with planes and weapons.
Hamas attacked southern Israel in a way that had never happened before on Saturday.
Israel has said that they will not give back electricity or permit essential resources and help to enter Gaza until Hamas frees approximately 150 people that they took as hostages during their attacks on Saturday.
As the electricity in Gaza decreases, the hospitals also lose power. This means that the babies in incubators and the elderly people who need oxygen are in danger. Fabrizio Carboni, the ICRC’s director for the region, said that kidney dialysis stops and it is not possible to take X-rays.
If there is no electricity, hospitals might become places where dead bodies are kept.
In Gaza, there are many injured people waiting outside hospitals in long lines, hoping to get into the emergency rooms. They are running out of important medical equipment and asking for people to donate blood.
People are going to hospitals to protect themselves from air strikes.
DrJustin Dalby, who has been helping people in Gaza for six months with the charity Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), told the BBC that the amount of people who got hurt was really huge.
He said that there was a lot of violence happening all the time, and everything was being destroyed everywhere. Day or night means at any time, whether it is during the day or during the night.

We want a secure way to get medical supplies to Gaza. And so that injured people from Gaza can be taken to a different place to receive medical treatment.

Defence for Children International Palestine, a human rights group, has confirmed that at least 140 children from Palestine have been killed since Saturday.

26-year-old British guy perishes in Malaga plane tragedy while taking flying lesson
A student pilot from the United Kingdom died when their plane crashed in Spain.
The 26-year-old was riding in a small airplane with a pilot from Spain when it had an accident and crashed in a national park in the province of Almeria in the region of Andalucia.
The accident occurred right after midnight on Wednesday.
The passenger doesn’t have a name yet, but we know the pilot is a 24-year-old named Rafael Ricote. He had a job teaching at a school that trains people to fly planes in Malaga.
They were flying from an airport in Velez-Malaga, which is east of Malaga. They were going towards the city of Valencia when the crash happened.
The couple had recently stopped at a nearby airport to fill up their vehicle before continuing their trip. They did not make any emergency calls before the accident happened.
The mountain rescue team from the Civil Guard found and brought back the bodies of the men who were in the crashed plane. The police and officials investigating aviation accidents are now conducting their own separate investigations.
A representative from a government organization that handles emergency response confirmed that two people died in a plane crash early on Wednesday morning in a town called Nijar.
A call for help was received at around 12:30 in the morning from Valencia Airport. They said they couldn’t reach a small airplane in the Cerro del Fraile area.
The person who called said that the plane belonged to a school that teaches people how to fly planes in Malaga. The plane was going to Valencia with two people inside it.

11-year-old girl becomes pregnant after being raped by teen in London
The High Court has decided that a young girl, who is 11 years old and is pregnant because she was sexually assaulted by teenage boys two times, should be allowed to end her pregnancy through an abortion.
The girl got pregnant after being forced into sex by a 14-year-old boy she met online when she was only 10 years old in May, Justice Arbuthnot was informed.
A few weeks later, when she was 11 years old, another boy who was 14 years old sexually assaulted her.
During a private meeting in the Family Division of London’s High Court, health officials argued that it would be best for the girl to end her pregnancy.
According to a recent court ruling, experts suggested that the placenta of the girl should be tested for forensic purposes.
Justice Arbuthnot agreed. (In simple words: Justice Arbuthnot said yes. ) She believes that examining the placenta for forensic testing in a criminal investigation is the right thing to do. She also thinks that ending the pregnancy would be best for the girl.
She said that there were big dangers in going through with the pregnancy and giving birth. One concern was about the girl’s physical characteristics.
The judge said that her body might be too small to have a normal childbirth, so she would have to have a C-section instead.
‘Any experience could potentially cause her to feel very upset and distressed. ’
She said, “If she continues the pregnancy, it could harm her mental health in the future because the baby was conceived through a rape. ”
The judge decided that none of the children in the case can be identified and didn’t say the name of the organization that started the legal action.
The court learned that the girl was sexually assaulted either on May 18 or May 21.
Justice Arbuthnot said that on June 11, 2023, a 14-year-old boy raped her, but he did not make her have a baby.
The judge said that the girl lived at her house with her parents, but social workers were worried about her safety.
She had a habit of not taking care of herself and had recently lost a family member.
Judge Arbuthnot learned that there were indications that the girl had been putting herself in situations where she could be taken advantage of sexually. The judge also found out that the girl had been watching pornography since she was eight years old.
Health officials asked for permission to end the pregnancy because they believed it was the best thing to do for the person’s health, according to the ruling.
Afterwards, it was decided that it would be beneficial to use tissue from the placenta for forensic testing in a criminal investigation in order to help her.
Expert evidence revealed that the girl did not have the mental ability to understand and make sense of the complicated decisions that needed to be made.
Doctors told the judge that young girls like her face more physical health risks during pregnancy compared to the usual risks. -
Swedru: Market women protest over forceful eviction
Market women at the Agona Swedru Central Market in Ghana staged a demonstration against the Agona West Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Evans Addison Onomah Coleman, due to their eviction from the back of the central market. The protesters, numbering about 100, accused the MCE of failing to honor an agreement that would have allowed them to continue trading in that area.
The traders were joined in their protest by the Agona West constituency executives of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), led by Mr. David Essandoh, the constituency organizer. The demonstrators resisted efforts by the MCE, who arrived with police personnel, to drive them away from the occupied space.
After the MCE left the scene to avoid potential confrontations, it took the police over two hours to regain control of vehicular and pedestrian movements in the area. A trader named Veronica expressed disappointment with the MCE, claiming that he had failed to fulfill his promise and was instead evicting them from their trading location. She appealed to President Nana Akufo-Addo to intervene, especially since Christmas was approaching, and they needed to work to support their families.
Mr Felix Yeboah, another trader, said, ‘’We are humbly appealing to the President to remove the MCE from office to ensure peace and development in Agona West.’’
He said the MCE was causing serious disaffection among the traders, market women and his own party and if he was not checked it would bring disaster to the party and create huge disunity in the Agona West Constituency.
Mrs Florence Yamoah, Agona West women organizer of NPP, who spoke to the media said Christmas was just around the corner and the traders had contracted loans to do business and pay for them.
She said the executive members of the party picked information that the MCE was going to evict the market women, so they called him to discuss the way forward to ensure peace.
The women organizer said the party executives, council of elders and the MP, Mrs Cynthia Morrison and others met the MCE, but he vehemently denied knowledge of the eviction.
The market women were reportedly shocked and disappointed by the actions of the MCE, claiming that he had used police and assembly staff to forcibly evict them from their trading area. The women organizer emphasized that the party would not allow the MCE to hinder the party’s growth and development.
David Essandoh, the constituency organizer, asserted that the party would not tolerate the MCE’s actions, and that the executives and members would stand up against what they perceived as oppressive rule by the MCE.
In response, the MCE stated that he had evicted the market women from the roadside for their own safety and not out of malice. He also denied allegations that a businesswoman in town had influenced his decision. Additionally, he refuted claims of having met with the MP and constituency executives regarding the eviction, stating that there was a stakeholders’ meeting that included chiefs to discuss the exercise, and he was surprised by the subsequent demonstration against him.

This means that he will not have to go to court next month for the same crime.
In June 2015, Ecclestone did not tell anyone about a trust he had in Singapore. This trust had a bank account with about 650 million US dollars in it. This money was worth about £400 million at that time.
The accusation says that he only created one trust for your daughters. He wasn’t the creator or receiver of any other trust in or outside the UK, apart from the one he made for your daughters.
Ecclestone has three adult daughters called Deborah, Tamara, and Petra, and a young son named Ace.
He controlled Formula One racing for about 40 years, starting from the late 1970s until 2017.

The Greater Accra Youth Wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has issued a challenge to Owusu-Bempah, the Deputy National Communication Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), regarding his planned picket at the premises of former President John Dramani Mahama.
The NDC youth have called on Owusu-Bempah to announce a new date for his intended picket, emphasizing that they are prepared to respond with their own “clean-up” exercise at John Mahama’s office, depending on Owusu-Bempah’s actions.
Initially, Owusu-Bempah had announced his plans to picket at John Mahama’s office on October 12, 2023, to demand an investigation into the Airbus scandal. However, he later rescheduled this event, prompting the NDC youth to postpone their own cleanup exercise.
In a statement, the NDC youth criticized Owusu-Bempah’s actions, characterizing them as an attempt to gain unwarranted attention. They expressed confidence that he may not announce a new date for his planned picket, but they stand ready to respond if he reschedules the event.
“Following the decision of the coward loudmouth, Ernest Kofi Owusu-Bempah Bonsu, to abort his unwise decision to picket at the office of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama under the guise of rescheduling same, we wish to announce a postponement of our planned clean-up exercise at the same venue.

The NDC youth group has also appealed to the Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, expressing their hope that if he instructs Owusu-Bempah to reschedule his demonstration, the new date would be approved, should Owusu-Bempah decide to proceed with it.
“We wish to plead with the Inspector General of Police, Dr George Akuffo Dampare that if indeed, he directed Owusu Bempah to reschedule his demo, then he should please approve any new date he would fix it, that is if he would muster the courage to dream about it again.
“We take note of the pent-up feeling of the youth and the eagerness with which the announcement of a clean-up exercise at the office of Mr. Mahama was received. We urge all of you to keep anything you might have procured for the planned clean-up exercise for another day,” it added.

Blinken travels to Israel to demonstrate US support
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has come to Israel to show his support after the recent violent attacks by Hamas.
Mr Blinken is going to try to free hostages taken by Hamas. Some of the hostages are from America.
He will also ask people to be calm and try to find a safe way for the civilians in Gaza to go, in case Israel decides to attack on the ground.
More than 1,200 Israelis were killed in the attack, and over 1,100 Palestinians died in air strikes on Gaza.
Around 22 Americans have also been reported to have died in Israel.
Hamas, a group considered as terrorists by the US, captured around 150 individuals when its fighters broke through the border fence in multiple areas in the Gaza Strip on Saturday. This attack from across the border is the most severe that Israel has experienced in a long time.
Mr Blinken is going to meet with Israeli President Isaac Herzog on Thursday morning and later in the day with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
On Friday, he will meet with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Jordan’s King Abdullah in the city of Amman in Jordan.
Joe Biden, the President of the United States, recently said that he had told Mr. Netanyahu, the leader of Israel, that they need to follow the rules of war when responding to the attacks from Hamas.
But he said Israel had the right and the responsibility to react, and described the attacks as a very evil act.
Israel has said that they will not remove the complete blockage on Gaza, which includes stopping the flow of food, fuel, and other necessary items, until the hostages are released.
Israel has promised to destroy Hamas and has started a strong bombing attack on the small area where 2. 3 million people live.
A US state department official, whose name was not mentioned, said that there are about 600,000 Palestinian Americans in Gaza, and some of them want to leave. Reuters reported this information.

Egypt alerted Israel days ahead Hamas attack – US
Egypt told Israel about possible violence three days before Hamas attacked across the border, according to a chairman of a US congressional panel.
Michael McCaul, who is in charge of the House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee, informed reporters about the reported warning.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the reports are “not true at all”.
Israeli intelligence services are being questioned for not stopping the most deadly attack ever made by Palestinian militants in Israel’s 75-year history.
According to Mr. McCaul, who spoke to reporters after a private intelligence briefing, Egypt had told Israel three days before that something like this could occur.
“I don’t want to discuss classified information, but a warning was issued,” said the Texas Republican. I believe the question was asking about the level.An Egyptian intelligence official recently told the Associated Press news agency that Cairo had warned Israel multiple times about a major event that was being planned from Gaza.
