    Javier Milei was not very well-known until recently. He is an economist, commentator, and loves rock music. He won the recent primaries and current polls show that he is leading in the first round on Sunday.

    He really wants to make changes and he is very sure about it. At a campaign event, he used a chainsaw to show that he plans to cut spending to make Argentina’s economy better.

    “We need someone from outside who is brave enough to confront the criminal organizations in our country,” states Alejandro Lazcano, a supporter waiting in line to attend Milei’s final campaign event six hours ahead of its scheduled start time. “Who actually has the courage to make the necessary changes. ”

    Javier Milei, who is often compared to former US president Donald Trump, definitely says he will. He has expressed his desire to explode the central bank and bring in the dollar as the official money of the country in order to stop the high inflation, which is currently at more than 100%.

However, some people got upset about the rule that says parents need to agree if a student who is younger than 16 wants to use a different name or gender identity at school.

    MrMoe’s decision to use the notwithstanding clause to pass a policy has received a lot of criticism, including from the human rights commissioner in Saskatchewan.

    Earlier this week, Heather Kuttai quit her job as commissioner because of the policy.

    Ms Kuttai said in a letter that she and her husband have a child who identifies as trans. Ms Kuttai also mentioned that the policy being enforced is negatively affecting the rights of trans, nonbinary, and gender diverse children.

    Carla Beck, the opposition leader from the left-leaning New Democrats party, said that the decision is a step in the wrong direction for Saskatchewan politics.

    Some students didn’t like the policy and protested by walking out of their school in Regina and other cities.

    Earlier this year, New Brunswick, a province in Atlantic Canada, introduced a similar policy.

    MrMoe used a special clause called the notwithstanding clause to make Bill 137 pass. The clause lets provincial legislatures and parliament change some parts of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

    It basically allows provinces to give up some rights for five years.

    The province said that the school’s rules will be different this summer.

    The UR Pride Centre for Sexuality and Gender Diversity asked the court to stop the measure because they believed it went against people’s rights and could cause teachers to use the wrong gender for students. The court agreed with them and made a decision.

    The rule was not used often in the past, but it has been used many times in recent years.

    One recent example that caused disagreement is when Quebec used a rule to make a law in 2019 that says civil workers cannot wear religious symbols at their job, like the hijab and kippah.

    When he was recently in Pakistan, Mr. Sharif was in prison for doing something wrong. However, in November 2019, he was allowed to get out of jail because of health reasons.

    Now it seems like the military is ready to welcome the person they removed from power in a sudden takeover – and there is a possibility that he might become the Prime Minister once more.

    And there’s more – in a surprising change of positions, his opponent Imran Khan, who took his place as prime minister in 2018, is now in prison after having a disagreement with the military.

    Even though it feels like we’ve experienced this before, we are not sure about what will happen next.

    What will occur when Sharif arrives?

    The ex-Prime Minister has been in London for the last four years. He was given permission to leave jail in an air ambulance, supposedly for medical care.

    He has been increasing his involvement in politics since 2022, when Imran Khan was removed from power through a parliamentary vote.

    MrSharif’s party, PML-N, became the governing party of Pakistan at that time, with his younger brother Shahbaz in control. Now, my older brother is returning home. He is supposed to come from Dubai to Islamabad on Saturday, and then go to our home city Lahore for a public gathering.

    He has some unresolved court cases, but he will not worry about being taken to jail because he has been granted bail until the next court hearing, which will take place next week.

    Mr Sharif has come back from exile before.

    In 2007, he and another opposition leader, Benazir Bhutto, made an important agreement with the military. This allowed them to participate in elections for the first time since he was removed from power in a coup in 1999.

    All the main opposing parties agreed then, unlike now – Ms Bhutto’s Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) won by a large margin, weeks after she was killed at a campaign event.

    Will Sharif become the Prime Minister again?

    His party has stated that he will be their candidate for Prime Minister in elections scheduled for this year but have been postponed until 2024.

    However, the 73-year-old man has many problems to deal with – especially a struggling economy, which his political party is mostly held responsible for, and widespread beliefs that the election will not be conducted fairly because his main rival is imprisoned.

    The military plays a significant role in governing Pakistan.

    When he was overseas, the former Prime Minister spoke out against the military at times. He specifically accused a former leader of the ISI intelligence agency and the previous army chief of staff for causing political unrest, but they denied these claims.

    MrSharif claimed that false cases had been filed against him and accused the judges in the country of working together. He said that this had caused a weak democracy in Pakistan where none of the prime ministers have been able to finish their time in office as dictated by the constitution.

    People who are against him in politics think that he made an agreement with the military so that he can come back, but they are not completely sure if Nawaz Sharif will win the elections.

    Zulfi Bukhari, a member of Imran Khan’s PTI party, said to the BBC: “I don’t think he will be Prime Minister again because there are legal cases against him and he has been banned from participating in politics for the rest of his life as per court orders. ”

    But many people believe that things will turn out in Mr. Sharif’s favor

    Our political system and the way we govern ourselves have remained the same. “According to political analyst Wajahat Masood, only the people involved in politics are being replaced. ”

    In the 2018 elections, Imran Khan received support from powerful individuals or groups to help him win. Currently, the army is occupied with organizing elections for Nawaz Sharif.

    The military hasn’t said if it likes Mr. Sharif or not, and both it and Imran Khan have always said they never worked together before disagreeing.

    Are the elections going to be fair?

    Imran Khan is in jail and his party is not as strong as before, after a crackdown due to violent protests. As a result, people believe that the election will not be conducted fairly.

    Before the arrest of its leader, the PTI was doing well in the polls. However, Zulfi Bukhari believes that the situation is now unfair, and most other parties agree with him.

    “How can we capture the country’s most famous political leader before elections. ” Bukhari inquired “If people are allowed to vote freely and fairly, it will become clear how many people support Imran Khan. ”

    Nawaz Sharif’s political party made similar statements when he was sent to prison before the 2018 election.

    Political analysts believe that history is repeating itself, but this time the PML-N is benefiting instead of the PTI.

    The most important issue is the economy, and the two parties are blaming each other for the current problems in it. When people get to vote, they will be most concerned about very high inflation and the price of things becoming more expensive.

    Although PML-N says that Nawaz Sharif has been in power before and knows how to “fix everything again,” it is not clear how he would accomplish this.

    Many Pakistanis are very unhappy with their country’s democracy, which they believe to be very corrupt. Young people, especially nowadays, openly express their disapproval of politicians and the military’s role in politics.

    Is Nawaz Sharif someone that the army can trust?

    The army in Pakistan has often been involved in the country’s politics and has taken control of the government through several coups. They have had a long and complicated relationship with Nawaz Sharif.

    However, Wajahat Masood and other observers think that even though there aren’t many other choices, the military is still willing to give him another chance.

    Mr Masood said that at first, the military supported Imran Khan because they believed he was a good option and a safe choice. However, when they felt that their power and control were being questioned, they decided to remove him from his position.

    “Now it seems that it is Nawaz Sharif’s chance. ”

    He and other analysts have noticed signs that Mr. Sharif and the government are reaching an agreement, even though the former prime minister has criticized the military from London.

    They remember that at the beginning of his career, Mr. Sharif was also thought to be influenced by the military and had to defend himself from similar criticisms as Imran Khan.

    Since Sharif has had constant conflicts with the military throughout his career, how might he handle the situation at present.

    Former MP Nadeem Afzal Chan says he won’t blindly agree with everything.

    He recognizes that Mr. Sharif has a history of conflict with the authorities.

    “But he understands the limits and knows when to break them and when to stop,” says Mr. Chan, who also acted as a spokesperson for Imran Khan during his time as prime minister.

    But Chan and other experts believe that there will be a disagreement eventually – it’s just a matter of when it will happen.

    First, there needs to be a chosen day for when the elections will be held. During the campaign, the most important goal will be to prevent the economy from completely failing.

    Abed Wadi was putting on his clothes for the funeral when he received a message.

    He received a picture from a friend. In the picture, there were some men wearing masks. They were holding axes, a petrol canister, and a chainsaw. The picture had words written on it in both Hebrew and Arabic.

    The message said that we are waiting for the rats in Qusra village and we won’t feel sad when they’re gone.

    “The day for getting back at someone is approaching. ”

    Qusra was a village called Wadi. It was located in the northern part of the West Bank, close to Nablus. The ceremony that day was held for four people from the village who had passed away. Three people died yesterday – Wednesday 11 October – after Israeli settlers went into Qusra and attacked a Palestinian family’s house.

    The fourth person was killed in fights with Israeli soldiers afterward.

    The next day, the people from Qusra were getting ready to go to a hospital that was thirty minutes away. They planned to bring back the bodies of the people who had died. To accomplish this, they would need to travel over land that has Israeli communities, where the chances of violence are very high even during normal times, and have increased significantly in the past two weeks since Israel started fighting with Hamas.

    Wadi stopped using his phone and carried on getting ready. There were four men placed in refrigerators at the hospital who needed to go back to their homes. He said he wouldn’t let a threat stop him. He had heard a lot.

    Wadi had no idea that, in a few hours, some extreme Israeli settlers would confront the funeral procession and his own brother and young nephew would be killed.

    Wadi, sitting in the cool outdoor area of his family’s house in Qusra, asked, “What would have been the point if we had waited one or two more days. ”

    “Do you think the people who came to live here would have gone away after just one day. ”
    Based on information from the UN’s humanitarian office, the week after Hamas’s violent attack was the deadliest for Palestinians in the West Bank since 2005. During this time, at least 75 Palestinians were killed by the Israeli military or settlers. Additionally, the number of incidents where settlers were violent increased from an average of three per day to eight.

    Israeli forces attacked a Palestinian refugee camp and launched a surprise air strike on Thursday 12th. According to Palestinian officials, at least 12 people were killed. Israeli police reported that one officer also lost their life.

    The United Nations said this week that there was a high chance of the occupied territory becoming very chaotic and uncontrollable.

    Palestinian people who live in the West Bank believe that while everyone is focused on the tragic events happening in Gaza, Israeli settlers are using this as an opportunity to go into villages, forcing out and sometimes hurting or even killing Palestinian civilians.

    In three instances, villagers have seen settlers wearing military clothes or being with the Israeli military when they attacked, as shown in videos or confirmed by eyewitnesses.

    The first three men who died in Qusra went to protect a family in a house on the edge of the village. Some people in the village said that settlers came to the house and started throwing rocks at it.
    They say the people who moved in then started shooting at the Palestinian neighbors who came to help. They killed three young men named Hasan Abu Sorour, Obayda Abu Sorour, and Musab Abu Reda. They also seriously injured many others. Moath Odeh, who was 21 years old, died after fighting with soldiers.

    A man and his six-year-old daughter, who lived in the house, were injured when they were shot in the face and stomach. This information comes from two people who helped at a nearby clinic for treating the injured.

    One of the people helping at the clinic was Amer Odeh, who is also a cousin of the victims. It was Amer’s responsibility to call Said Odeh, who is the father of Obayda, a 17-year-old.

    Amer said in an interview with Said in Qusra on Tuesday that he told him his son was not seriously hurt. “I was unable to surprise him with this news during our phone conversation. ”

    Said quickly went to the medical center. “They said my son got hurt, but I couldn’t see him right away,” he remembered with tears in his eyes.

    As the cars and ambulances were driving on the Nablus-Ramallah road, a group of extremist Israeli settlers suddenly attacked the convoy. During the fight, as seen in videos and heard from people who were there, some settlers threw rocks at the group of cars. In response, some people from the funeral cars also threw rocks. Then, the Israeli settlers and soldiers started shooting real bullets.

    During a chaotic and violent situation with a lot of random shooting, Abed Wadi got separated from his brother Ibrahim, who is a 63-year-old politician from the Fatah Movement, and Ibrahim’s son Ahmed, who is a 24-year-old studying law. A video shows Ahmed and some others running away from the shooting, but Ahmed gets shot on the road.

    Wadi said that they informed him that his nephew got shot two times in his stomach and once in his neck, and his brother got shot in his waist, closer to his heart.

    “He said there were no weapons in our funeral procession. ” “Normally, we display the Palestinian flag on our cars, but this time we didn’t even show our flag because we were too scared. ”
    People in Qusra village told the BBC this week that they were very scared. Last weekend, the olive season started in the area. However, people who rely on the harvest for money said they won’t go to the groves near the village because they’re scared of settlers shooting at them.

    According to information from the United Nations, there was already a large increase in violence from Israeli settlers this year before the Hamas attack. More than 100 incidents were reported each month, and around 400 people were forced out of their land between January and August.

    The Israeli organization B’Tselem told the BBC that they have seen settlers trying to take control of land in the West Bank. They believe that these settlers are taking advantage of the fact that most attention is currently on Gaza and northern Israel.

    According to information collected by B’Tselem, in the first six days after the Hamas attack, there were at least 46 different times when settlers in the West Bank threatened, physically harmed, or caused damage to Palestinians’ property.

    “A large number of families and communities who work as shepherds have left their homes because they were scared and in danger from other people who recently moved into their area,” explained Roy Yellin, a spokesperson for B’Tselem. People who moved to a new place are telling people who already live there that they have to move out by a certain time. They are threatening to hurt them if they don’t leave. And some villages have completely become vacant.
    One of the villages was called Wadi al-Siq, it was close to Ramallah. Before, it used to have around 200 Palestinian Bedouin people living there. Abdul Rahman Kaabna, a 48-year-old farmer from Wadi al-Siq, stated that we have been experiencing constant harassment and attacks from settlers for several months. However, since the war began, the number of attacks has increased.

    On 9 October, around 60 people, some of them wearing military clothes, attacked the community, as reported by three residents who have now been forced to leave. “Kaabna stated that they used weapons to attack us and made everyone feel scared. ” After that, they allowed us to go outside with our sheep for one hour. But they warned us that if we didn’t leave, they would kill us.

    Another resident, Ali Arara, who is 35 years old, said that the people who live there had to walk a distance of more than 10 kilometers, which is equal to 6. 2 miles, in order to get away from the situation. “He said the settlers took everything from our houses. ” My daughter was very scared. They attacked us and took away everything we had.

    According to B’Tselem and Yesh Din, another Israeli human rights group that monitors violence in the West Bank, the fear and forced removal of people in Wadi al-Siq has happened in many other communities in the area since October 7th.

    In a very surprising event recorded on video recently, a person from Israel who lives in a place they established in Palestinian land went into a village called Al-Tuwani near Hebron. They shot a Palestinian resident who was not carrying any weapons, right in the stomach while a soldier from Israel seemed to be watching without doing anything.

    The problem started when two people with weapons, along with a soldier, attacked a house near the village. This information was given by three people living in the village, including the owner of the house.

    “Three Israelis visited my house. They were carrying weapons, and one of them was dressed in army attire,” explained Musab Rabai, who is 36 years old.

    A person who moved to a new place came inside my home, gave me a forceful push, hit me on the head with a gun, and threatened to shoot me.

    Neighbours came to Rabai when he shouted for help, he said. One of the people was Zakriha Adra, who is a father of four children. Adra’s cousin, Basel, recorded a video that shows a settler who is said to have beaten Rabai, along with an Israeli soldier who is standing nearby. The incident happened close to a group of Palestinian neighbors. The person with a weapon comes closer to Adra and hits him with their rifle. They then shoot him in the stomach from a short distance away.

    During the interaction, Adra keeps his arms down and doesn’t seem like a threat.

    The family says that Adra is now in the hospital and is in very bad shape. “Basel, his cousin, said that he survived but the bullet caused a lot of harm to his stomach. ”

    Musab Rabai, whose house got attacked, said the shooting happened after several days of threats and the settlers damaging his property.

    He said that they have been standing around the village since Saturday with guns and using a bulldozer to destroy trees. The men in the village take turns sleeping for only a few hours at a time. This way, there is always someone awake in case the settlers try to attack.

    The BBC reached out to the Yesha Council, a group that represents settlers in the West Bank and other areas, to give their opinion for this story. However, they chose not to comment. Moti Yogev, the temporary leader of the Binyamin Council, which speaks for settlers in the area, said that aggressive settlers were considered to be on the extreme edges of the settler group. “He said that if they are real, they should be treated just like any other criminal. ”

    The Israeli army and Israeli police did not give any response when asked for comments multiple times.

    Dov Khenin, a former Israeli politician who now advocates for peace, said that the saddest part is that the Israeli military doesn’t react to the violence caused by these extreme settlers. And the violence has a specific goal, to remove these small Palestinian communities and make them leave their homes.
    Many Palestinians are afraid that the situation in the West Bank will only become more bad. Israel’s National Security Minister, Itar Ben Gvir, said last week that the government will buy 10,000 rifles for Israeli civilians, including those in West Bank settlements. This could make it harder to tell the difference between armed settlers and military in the occupied territory.

    In Qusra, Abed Wadi said he heard about the 10,000 guns. He moved his head from side to side. He said that it wouldn’t make any difference for the people of Qusra.

    Wadi was sitting in his outdoor area, with pictures of his brother, nephew, and four other men from the village who died last week on the walls around him.

    “He said that we have always seen the settlers holding rifles, and they have been shooting at us for a long time. ”

    But he mentioned that something was different now. It appeared that the settlers had become angrier and more extreme. “Wadi said that farm houses are being set on fire, olive trees are being chopped down, cars are being broken into, and land is being stolen. ”

    Predator is a type of computer software that Amnesty International describes as being intrusive and used in bold hacking attempts against politicians and journalists.

    Amnesty said that this technology can turn a smartphone into a spying device and has important implications for people’s rights.

    The report wants the Irish government and other governments to look into and strengthen rules for spyware companies.
    Amnesty said that the alliance was a group of companies that often changed and were complicated. They claimed to be based in the European Union and regulated, but they didn’t do anything to control who can use this spyware and for what reasons.

    In July, US officials put Intellexa on a list of bad companies because they found out that their spying tools were dangerous to the United States’ safety and relationships with other countries.

    The Intellexa office in Dublin, which is registered in the city, was established in 2019. This information is mentioned in a briefing paper by the European Parliament.

    Amnesty’s report asked Irish and other European governments to “quickly cancel all permissions given to the Intellexa alliance for selling and sending goods to other countries”.

    I do my best to teach them as much as I can. We are trying our best to help, but there are limitations and our efforts are not enough in the long run.

    For Eram, who is 15 years old, there is more than just school work that is important. She says she really misses her friends from school. She also mentioned that they haven’t talked to each other since they parted ways.

    The fighting has caused around 6. 5 million more children to leave their schools, and an additional 5 million children have been impacted by the closure of schools.

    This could potentially allow Mr. McHenry to help pass laws to prevent a government shutdown next month, and provide aid to Israel and Ukraine.

    Republicans who agree with the idea have said that the House needs to continue with its work instead of prolonging its internal disagreements.

    Mario Diaz-Balart of Florida stated that it is important to bring the conservative agenda back on the right path. He has not yet supported Mr.

    Nebraska’s Don Bacon, who is against Jordan’s ideas, said: “I fully support McHenry. ” I really like McHenry city.

    US officials say that a US Navy warship intercepted missiles and drones launched from Yemen by the Iran-aligned Houthi movement.

    A spokesperson from the Pentagon said that the missiles have been fired possibly towards places in Israel.

    The USS Carney, which is a ship that shoots missiles and can be controlled, was in the northern Red Sea on Thursday.

    US soldiers in Iraq and Syria were recently attacked multiple times, according to the Pentagon.

    Washington is paying close attention in case Iran-supported groups take action while Israel keeps attacking Hamas targets in Gaza.

    The Pentagon’s General Patrick Ryder said that they shot down three missiles and some drones that were coming from Yemen to attack the land.

    No one got hurt in the event, and an official from the United States said it didn’t seem like the warship was the intended target.

    “He told reporters that we don’t know for sure what these missiles and drones were aiming for, but they were launched from Yemen and heading north along the Red Sea, possibly towards targets in Israel. ”

    The White House says they have no plans or intentions to use them.

    But it means that if necessary, the US military would be ready to protect the country’s security interests.

    Yemen’s Houthi rebels, who the US believes are responsible for these latest attacks, receive support from Iran.

    The Houthis have been involved in a long-lasting conflict with the official government of Yemen, which is supported by Saudi Arabia, since 2014.

    The accomplished artist behind the hit song ‘Belembe,’ who once graced the stage as a member of the Osibisa Band, reminisces about a time when it was customary for bands to produce their records in addition to covering songs by other artists.

    During an insightful conversation with Kwame Dadzie on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z, Bessa Simons emphatically states that bands stand a good chance of qualifying for prestigious awards like the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) if they excel in producing and promoting their unique musical creations.

    “You know what the VGMA stands for. They look out for recordings, promotions, you putting yourself out there, making sure you are in the digital space, making sure you do things extraordinary that need to be awarded,” he stated.

    The music legend, who doubles as a board member of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAS) further made known that he will soon  propose the idea of creating a category for bands to the board. 


    Bessa’s remarks are prompted by Sita Korley, a member of the Lipstick Queens Band, who proposed that music bands should receive special recognition at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs), even if they haven’t released their original tracks.

    “Because they (the bands) don’t have albums, are they saying they are not going to be recognised at all? I would suggest that different criteria be made out for the bands that are performers and not because they are composers and bring out albums,” she said

    The Palace of Versailles, the Louvre, and also schools, airports, and hospitals have been attacked or focused on.

    According to authorities, most of the people causing the disruption are young.

    The warnings are happening when there is a lot of tension in France. This tension started last week when a teacher was stabbed to death by someone who is believed to be a jihadist at a school in the city of Arras.

    This week, there were four times when the Palace of Versailles had to be emptied because of bomb threats. Last Saturday, the Louvre in Paris also had to make thousands of people leave due to a bomb scare.

    On Wednesday, several regional airports had to be cleared out due to an emergency situation. Some of these airports were in Lille, Nantes, Nice, and Toulouse. On Thursday, 11 more airports were also impacted.

    Last week, France was put on its highest level of counter-terrorism alert because a 57-year-old teacher named Dominique Bernard was killed. The person being investigated is someone who used to go to school and is from Russia and has family roots in Chechnya.

    Bomb scares have happened at schools too. On Thursday, six high schools in the Toulouse area had to be emptied because of a safety concern. Earlier this week, students at one Toulouse school were instructed to hide under their desks when a suspicious package was seen outside the building.

    The Interior Minister, Gérald Darmanin, said last night that 18 people, mostly young people, were taken into custody within 48 hours. He emphasized that there was no particular danger to France.

    The bomb scares were made using phones, emails, and a website that was created in 2020. People directly texted the police officers or contacted the official police social media accounts to spread these scares.

    Justice Minister Éric Dupond-Moretti cautioned individuals he described as “little jokers” that they will be identified and face consequences.

    Authorities are using computer addresses and phone numbers to find out who is responsible for something. Making a false bomb threat is against the law in France. If caught, a person can be punished with up to three years in jail and a fine of €45,000 (£39,000).

    Kuami Eugene expressed his frustration with the Ghanaian music industry, where the system appears to support only one artist at a time, even though many artists release music regularly. He argued that there is the capacity to support multiple artists simultaneously, indicating a need for a more inclusive and supportive industry.

    “It’s not like we live in a country where we release one song at a time. More people are releasing songs. But our system supports one artist at a time when there’s room for more,” he stated.

    Kuami Eugene observed that this practice is particularly evident among female artists in the country.

    “It’s even sad when it comes to the ladies’ side. You can’t have five ladies making waves at the same time. It should be one lady for a very long time. Then you see another girl crawling, crawling, crawling. Until they make space for her.

    “Then she’ll be there for some time before we see another girl crawling. But we’ve had female artists putting together good music in this country. But I wish it wouldn’t be like that,” he commented.

    Kuami Eugene called for broader support for all artistes, discouraging unnecessary trolling on social media and emphasizing the importance of spreading positive news about each other rather than engaging in negative online interactions.

    Kuami Eugene mentioned a few explanations for why it seems like Ghana’s music industry is struggling while Nigeria’s is thriving.

    He pointed out that Nigeria gains from having access to better instruments and having the capacity to create music of a higher calibre. Furthermore, more investors who are eager to support local talent are drawn to the area due to its larger population.

    The musician stressed that in order to promote Ghanaian music domestically, stakeholders must work together. He made the observation that local music is prioritised in Nigeria, but foreign music is frequently preferred in Ghana.

    “I was in Nigeria, and we were asking some friends why they don’t play Ghanaian music. They have many artistes already. So, before they finish playing their own music, the time is up. When I was there, I had only one Ghanaian song, but I heard it around 2 am. They don’t have space,” Kuami Eugene noted.
