So if someone is saying otherwise let the person prove it”.

“I’m not bothered by the allegations against me because I see them as part of life’s challenges. It’s ironic that they’re attempting to pull me down now that I’ve reached this level. However, I trust in God to handle those individuals. If they have any evidence of criminal activity, they should present it. But let me be clear, I have never been arrested before. In England, people can be arrested for minor offenses, but arrests are based on truth,” he added.

The New Force launches Save Ghana Fund ahead of 2024 elections

The New Force has unveiled its virtual crowdfunding platform, named the “Save Ghana Fund.”

In a video message released on May 6th as part of the launch, the leader of The New Force, Nana Kwame Bediako, called on the people of Ghana to support the movement and its cause.

Mr Bediako’s message urges the nation to break away from the culture of political candidates buying votes, highlighting how this practice undermines the genuine and free choice of voters and distorts the true aspirations and investments of the people.

“A call to you and to everyone who cares about the future of Ghana: The New Force movement seeks to ensure our commitment to the nation and to each other in the pursuit of equality, empowerment, and equity for all in our society. The campaign is built on three key values: visibility, accessibility, and transparency.”

In his brief video message accompanying the launch, the leader of The New Force movement emphasized that vote-buying tarnishes democracy by perpetuating the mismanagement of the nation’s resources and fostering a culture of corruption.

Nana Kwame Bediako urged the citizens of Ghana to change the narrative by finding redemption in the initiative to identify a genuine leader and then invest in their chosen leader by donating to the movement and its cause.

“The responsibility of the leader is to serve you,” Nana Kwame Bediako candidly tells his audience at the launch of the virtual crowdfunding platform.

“And the responsibility of the citizens is to give the leader the chance and the opportunity to serve the nation. Remember, the government does not make the people; the people make the government,’ the leader urges. ‘Let’s build a new nation.”

As an independent candidate in the 2024 Republic of Ghana presidential elections, Nana Kwame Bediako, the leader of The New Force movement, is heralded as the long-awaited inter-generational leader.

Leader of the New Force, Nana Kwame Bediako (Cheddar), has firmly refuted reports suggesting his intention to purchase Ghana should citizens not vote for him in the 2024 elections.

He asserted that such claims are fabricated to tarnish his image, emphasizing that he has never made any such statement regarding buying the country.

According to Bediako, the notion of buying Ghana is preposterous; he maintained that it is beyond his capability to acquire an entire nation.

Instead, he emphasizes his possession of knowledge and wisdom, which he believes can drive Ghana forward and enhance the lives of its youth.

“Please I don’t have money to buy Ghana. Let’s not make people use us to destroy our own. That is betrayal.

What I have is wisdom and knowledge. It’s by dint of the grace of God that’s why I can say that any form of help that I can render to this country to make it better for the youth.

I want to be remembered for my impact in the lives of the youth when I am no more here that is why I have decided to join this race and nothing else,” he said in a video to address issues,” he added.

Ghanaian entrepreneur and presidential hopeful, Nana Kwame Bediako (Cheddar) has stirred controversy with his audacious assertion that he will one day amass enough wealth to purchase the nation, despite current sentiments.

In an interview with TV3, Cheddar remarked, “If I create a million millionaires and take 10% from each person, I will definitely be richer than the country, so be careful. Ghanaians might not want me today, but when I return, I will be back to buy the country.”

This declaration coincides with his official announcement to run for the presidency under the New Force political movement.

Cheddar’s revelation and his emergence as the mysterious ‘Man in the Mask’ have sparked both fascination and skepticism among the Ghanaian public.

  • Cheddar explains why he chose Ashanti Region for his ‘sea to Kumasi’ promise

Cheddar explains why he chose Ashanti Region for his ‘sea to Kumasi’ promise

Presidential hopeful and leader of The New Force Movement, Nana Kwame Bediako, has explained why he promised to extend the sea from Ghana’s coast to the landlocked Ashanti Region.

Affectionately known as Freedom Jacob Caesar or Cheddar, the business magnate sees dredging sea in Kumasi as a crucial step towards unlocking the potential of Ghana’s Eastern and Western Corridors to boost international trade.

But for the reason he specifically choose Kumasi, Cheddar said, “first of all I choose Kumasi because the Ashanti Region is the only region that has the best of sensitivity in terms of the issue of water dredging and water transportation.”

Bediako outlined his strategy, inspired by his observations of other nations extending maritime transport routes into inland areas.

He highlighted Dubai’s transformation from a desert to a coastal city as a prime example of what could be accomplished.

“Why are we still transporting individual containers by road when the sea could offer a faster and more efficient means?” Bediako questioned.

He highlighted the current system’s inefficiencies, where goods transported by road often arrive damaged or spoiled after the six-hour journey from Tema Harbour to Kumasi.

“I want to open up the East and Western Corridor infrastructure,” Bediako emphasized.

“I want to build power stations, energy stations, connect the gas, create industries, and bring technology.”

I will be talked about in the next 500 years – Cheddar

Prominent Ghanaian entrepreneur and presidential hopeful, Nana Kwame Bediako, envisions leaving a legacy that will endure for centuries, firmly embedding his name in history for the next 500 years.

As the leader of the New Force Movement, Bediako aims to become one of Africa’s foremost industrialists, setting his sights on substantial achievements in the continent’s industrial landscape.

Bediako emphasized that his primary focus lies not in amassing wealth but in fostering opportunities and constructing enduring enterprises.

Speaking on JoyFM on Wednesday, April 10, he said, “That’s where I see myself to be. I see myself to be one of the people to be talked about in the next 500 years. I know people don’t like to hear this fact but that is how confident I am, in who I am, what I can do and what I’m capable of doing.”

Mr Bediako further stated that a country’s resources must be processed and packaged in order to be traded on the global market.

He said this is essential for attracting foreign investment and bringing money into the country.

“Other people can start to bring their money constantly into your country and that is how the economy revolves and evolves.”

He pointed out that Africa is the only continent that has not yet fully embraced industrialisation.

According to him, African countries tend to rely on imported goods and services, rather than producing their own.

“Our clothes come from somewhere when it’s done. We might do the cotton but we are not the ones doing the textiles and clothes. We might plant the cocoa but we will not be the ones doing the chocolates,” he lamented.

Cheddar reveals ‘sea project’ for Kumasi will be a canal

Leader of political movement, The New Force, Nana Kwame Bediako, popularly known as Cheddar, has clarified his earlier comments about dredging the sea to Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.

During a recent interview while touring the Ashanti Region, Mr. Bediako sparked controversy by suggesting intentions to extend the sea from the coast to the inland city.

However, in an interview on Joy FM’s Super Morning Show on April 10, he explained that his plan was not to extend the sea but to dredge a canal.

He clarified that dredging a canal would enhance industrialization and improve transportation at the port, ultimately aiming to enhance port accessibility for the efficient transportation of goods as part of a broader economic industrialization policy. Additionally, he noted that this initiative would reduce pressure on land transport by heavy-duty vehicles.

“I want Ghanaians to understand that I’m here to build a country. My vision is very clear. That’s how clear my vision is. I can see that development is going to happen this way because you need to connect your water bodies.

“Why do you think your colonial master is hiding that secret from you? But when you go to his country, he’s connected all his waters. He calls them Thames, Canals, Ferry, Woolwich, and secretly he’s transporting things on there,” he said.

Cheddar clarified that when he mentioned dredging to Kumasi, he was referring to a canal and not extending the sea. He further pointed out that if there had already been industrialization in areas like Ada, some development would have taken place.

“If you drill and connect a sea to any river, the name for it, which will be in development, will be a canal.

“Yes, canal. Now, a canal can have any sort of river, lagoon, sea, whatever that it is. And look, when you go to Ada, the water in Ada shares border right with the sea, right there. The opportunity is we could have created a harbor there if there was already industrialisation in those areas,” he added.

The businessman dismissed claims that it was impossible.

“I mean you guys make it look like it’s unaffordable, it’s unacceptable and it cannot be done. [It’s a long time.] No, it’s not. Actually, I’ll tell you. Look, a vision without action is a mere dream.

“You and the dreamer, there’s no difference. That’s what a visionary is, if you have a vision and you can’t find a way to activate the vision, if you don’t apply action, it’s a useless vision. It can be done.

“Once you decide to do it, it gets done. Now, why do I have the confidence to say so? Because I’ve done things. I have raised the first 16th-floor building in a place where they started building one floor, two floors, one floor, and two floors.

“I came and I went, and I put two floors underneath it. On one and a half plots, I put 108 apartments,” he added.

Leader of The New Force, Nana Kwame Bediako, also known as Cheddar has spoken out about the challenges he faced regarding his ownership of tigers.

Cheddar dismissed the criticisms surrounding his tiger ownership, stating that efforts by the Forestry Commission to secure his tigers were unsuccessful.

He said that despite the Commission’s attempts to find suitable land, they ultimately informed him of their inability to do so.

According to Bediako, he has established a well-built zoo behind his house to house his tigers safely.

He emphasised the high costs involved in maintaining these animals, noting that he feeds them cows every three days to prevent them from eating humans.

“I feed my tigers with cows every three days to prevent them from attacking humans. They are expensive to keep, and I have invested in the right facilities to house them. The Forestry Commission returned my tigers because they couldn’t find a suitable place,” Bediako explained.

Forget about dredging sea, create jobs for Kumasi youth – Rapp Fada tells Cheddar

Ghanaian musician Rapp Fada has expressed skepticism towards the proposal made by Nana Kwame Bediako, also known as Cheddar, the leader of The New Force political movement, to dredge the sea in Kumasi.

According to Rapp Fada, there are more urgent issues that demand attention, such as educational challenges and unemployment rates.

He advised Cheddar to prioritize initiatives aimed at generating employment opportunities for the youth in Kumasi, should he pursue his presidential aspirations.

In an interview with Fiifi Pratt on Kingdom FM, as reported by GhanaWeb, Rapp Fada criticized Cheddar’s promise to bring the sea to Kumasi, labeling it as “deceptive” due to its impracticality and difficulty in implementation.

“His words are deceptive because he knows it will be difficult for him to achieve it [dredging sea in Kumasi]. The Ashanti Kingdom is huge, so he should not speak anyhow.

“At least, there is Lake Bosomtwe in the region, so, dredging a sea is not necessary. I think issues that have to do with education and unemployment are more pressing that he needs to look at and not sea,” he said.

I am excited about how my proposal to dredge sea in Kumasi has been received – Cheddar

The Founder of the New Force Movement, Nana Kwame Bediako, commonly known as Cheddar, expressed his excitement about the responses to his proposal to dredge a sea in Kumasi.

During his regional tour, the ambitious politician, who harbors aspirations of becoming President, unveiled his plan to dredge a sea in Kumasi, emphasizing its importance in facilitating trade within the country.

However, Cheddar’s proposal received mixed reactions from Ghanaians, with some dismissing his ambition and vision.

Despite the skepticism, Nana Kwame Bediako remains resolute in his belief that dredging the sea is a feasible endeavor.

He suggested that connecting various river bodies across the country could make this vision a reality.

During an appearance on TV3’s New Day on Monday, March 25, Cheddar reiterated his commitment to industrialization, emphasizing the importance of logistics in achieving this goal.

He highlighted the presence of underutilized river bodies like Tano, Pra, and Oti, emphasizing the need for dredging to enhance coastal transportation and stimulate industrial growth.

Cheddar emphasized the significance of industrialization in bolstering Ghana’s economy and expressed confidence in his ability to execute the dredging project effectively.

He underscored the importance of engaging professionals with expertise in dredging, mapping, and defense to ensure the success of the initiative.

“I am not surprise, I am happy because I was looking at the African Games to be a big thing but to have one statement kind of competing with the national games, it’s a great trend.

“My vision is to bring industrialisation in this country. One of the main things needed is logistics.

“When I was looking at the map when I was in Techiman, I discovered that they have a river in Tano and it goes all the way to the border. Tano comes all the way to the sea. It has been sitting there for 100 years and no one has connected it.

“River Pra and Oti are very close and they connect. They are all there and connected but no one has dredged them. It will take the river bodies, that is what dredging is about,” he said on TV3’s New Day, Monday, March 25.

He continued, “I am talking about coastal transportation and the future if Ghana is built on industrialization which I am about to start.”

“We are running from industrialization as a country and this is the only thing that will save our economy,” Cheddar added.

He stressed that “I know what to do to do it [dredging the sea in Kumasi] by bringing the right professionals that understands dredging, mapping and defensing.”

Merge sea with rivers, lakes: How Cheddar plans to bring the sea to Kumasi

Ghanaian presidential hopeful and businessman, Nana Kwame Bediako, known as Freedom Jacob Ceasar or Cheddar, has elaborated on his ambitious plan to connect Kumasi, a landlocked region in Ghana, to the sea.

Bediako previously pledged to dredge a sea to Kumasi to stimulate economic activities in the country, a proposal met with skepticism by many Ghanaians.

During a listening tour at the University of Cape Coast, Cheddar explained his vision, citing his childhood fascination with maps and Africa’s geographical layout. He also highlighted the untapped potential of Ghana’s water bodies, including the Pra and Oti Rivers.

“When I was checking the map of this country, I saw the rivers Pra and Oti. When you’re coming from Kumasi to Cape Coast, the big river is just there. It’s not connected.

“When I started this tour, I went to Techiman, then to Tamale, then to Bolga, then to Bogoso, then to Techiman. So every time I went to the room, I quickly studied the map of that region. Then I found out that there’s a river Tano in Techiman, and it goes all the way to the end of Takoradi, sharing the border with the Ivorian coast. Next to it is the sea,” he explained.

Cheddar said he was going to leverage these rivers for transportation by connecting them to the sea through dredging.

“So what we have to do is just dredge our land, let the sea merge with the water bodies, the river, and the lagoon, and start to use it as a transportation. It’s been there, but we haven’t thought of it.

“You can look at the Manchester canal, all of you can google how they dredged the sea to merge with the river for it to become that,” he said.

The proposal, which has sparked debate, aims to transform the economic landscape by positioning Kumasi as a hub for sea transport, potentially creating new trade routes and opportunities.

Cheddar’s plan draws inspiration from global examples like the Manchester Canal, where inland areas have been connected to the sea, suggesting a similar possibility for Ghana.

Go and bring someone who has all these credentials and credibility; I have it all. I have learned and seen it all. I want to share because the value of knowledge is to be shared.”

Cheddar means well for Ghanaians but he will not win presidency – Nana Aba Anamoah

Media personality Nana Aba Anamoah has made a prediction that, the leader of the New Force Movement, Nana Kwame Bediako, will not win 2024 elections as president even though Ghanaians cheer him up on his transformative ideas for the country.

According to Nana Aba Anamoah, she is certain that, Ghanaians will not do away with the two dominant political parties in the country, such as the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to vote for him.

She adds that, for her, Cheddar is someone she has encountered before and she loves his values and desire to address plight concerns of Ghanaians

“We definitely need a new force. I have engaged Freedom Jacob Caesar [Cheddar] a couple of times, he is a great guy, and I love him. He means well and wants to see people do better in their lives. But I am not sure Ghanaians will give a new force an opportunity, even though we are screaming for one.

“I am not sure if people are ready to leave the NDC and NPP for him. I like the way he has entered the political space; even if he does not make any gains, at least he has made a statement,” she said.

Cheddar is set to run in the general elections under The New Force political movement, competing against the NDC, NPP, and other political parties.

He has faced significant criticism lately following his pledge to dredge a sea in Kumasi if elected president.

Ghanaians are not ready to quit NDC, NPP to vote for Cheddar – Nana Aba Anamoah

Media personality Nana Aba Anamoah has offered her perspective on why she believes it will be challenging for Nana Kwame Bediako, also known as Cheddar, the leader of The New Force political movement, to attain the presidency.

While acknowledging the desire among Ghanaians for fresh leadership, Nana Aba expressed skepticism about the likelihood of voters abandoning the entrenched New Patriotic Party (NPP) and National Democratic Congress (NDC) in favor of Cheddar.

She acknowledged Cheddar’s genuine concern for the welfare of Ghanaians and his determination to enact positive change, but she described the endeavor as a formidable task.

Nana Aba emphasized that even if Cheddar falls short of winning the general election or securing the presidency, his presence has made a significant impact within political circles.

Cheddar is set to participate in the upcoming general elections representing The New Force political movement, vying against the NDC, NPP, and other political parties.

In recent days, he has faced substantial criticism following his pledge to dredge a sea in Kumasi should he win the presidency.

Efya mocks Cheddar’s sea plans for Kumasi

Singer Efya Nokturnal has responded to the suggestion made by New Force Movement leader Nana Kwame Bediako, also known as Cheddar, regarding the dredging of a sea in Kumasi, the capital of the Ashanti Region.

On her official X account on March 19, 2024, she posed a question, asking whether Cheddar had received a specific request from the people before announcing his proposal publicly.

“Did the people in Kumasi say they want a beach?” her post read. Her question elicited comical responses largely.

“Lowkey they want it but they’re pretending,” one user responded, while another tweeted: “Question for the gods.”

Another had a lengthy take about why Cheddar had a good point and needed not be ridiculed: “And did Cheddar say he is bringing the sea because of a beach?

“Despite the fact the we feel what Cheddar said it’s impossible in our country, we shouldn’t make mockery of it, man made some good point citing Dubai as an example. We don’t just have the money to do that here,” he submitted.

    What Cheddar said:

During an interview with Abusua FM in Kumasi, Cheddar expressed that the “sea to Kumasi” vision is integral to his goal of enhancing trade by connecting Ghana’s Eastern and Western corridors.

“I have travelled far and wide. I have seen many countries do that. Even Dubai which was a typical desert now has the sea. That is the kind of vision I have for the Ashanti Region. When we dredge the sea to the region, ships can dock in Kumasi,” he stated.

I can solve Ghana’s economic problems – Cheddar

An independent candidate, Nana Kwame Bediako, widely known as Cheddar, has boldly proclaimed himself as the answer to Ghana’s economic challenges.

In an interview with Nhyira FM on March 18, 2024, the founder and head of The New Force expressed his disappointment with the management of the country’s economy over the years.

He criticized the dependence on foreign aid, suggesting that effective utilization of Ghana’s natural resources could have eliminated the need for such assistance.

“Although I made half a million outside Ghana, all the industrialisation and projects I have in my empire came from the resources I mobilised in this country.

“I don’t blame those who think I made my wealth from drugs and other vices. It is common in our part of the world that people believe you cannot make it through hard work without politics and drugs.

“This is why we must change our minds and understand that the black man is also capable. I know that with time, people will see who I truly am,” he said.

Cheddar acknowledged the prevailing perception that his wealth might be attributed to illicit activities like drug trade.

However, he challenged this stereotype, asserting that success through legitimate means is attainable for Africans.

He pledged to generate significant revenue domestically, envisioning a Ghana where reliance on institutions like the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for financial aid becomes unnecessary.

“I am the new IMF for Ghana if I can find a solution for Ghana to gain $10 billion to $30 billion within four years.”

Nana Kwame Bediako, also known as Cheddar, the founder of The New Force, has expressed his interest in acquiring one of the two major English football clubs.

The Ghanaian businessman, who is aspiring to run as an independent candidate in Ghana’s 2024 election, stated his desire to purchase either Chelsea FC or Manchester United to demonstrate that Africans.

“As I sit here I hope to raise money to buy Chelsea at the blind side of the public or buy Manchester United and show the white man that the Black man is also powerful. I would like to invest and have an African Champions League just like what pertains in Europe.

“Let’s build strong leagues in Africa so that we can sell our players outright to Europe instead of smuggling players through dubious means for peanuts,” he stressed.

Nana Kwame Bediako, who hails from Kumasi, emphasized the importance of Ghana leveraging its former football stars, particularly in negotiating favorable deals for players’ transfers abroad.

The leader of The New Force expressed his belief that Ghana has not effectively utilized its football legends in this aspect, which he finds puzzling.

“A few days ago I went to the late Papa Arko’s home, he’s one of my legends along with the likes of Opoku Nti who were the big stars in football when I was a young boy.

“We failed to ensure that these quality footballers gained legendary status because today these players I mentioned should have been big-time football agents and well-connected around the world. We are not serious as a country, that is why many of them end up broke after their playing time,” he said.

Presidential aspirant Nana Kwame Bediako, also known as Freedom Jacob Caesar or Cheddar and the leader of The New Force Movement, has unveiled an ambitious vision to extend the sea from Ghana’s coast to the landlocked Ashanti Region.

This bold proposal aims to unlock the potential of Ghana’s Eastern and Western Corridors, thereby enhancing international trade.

During an interview with Kojo Marfo on Abusua 96.5 FM in Kumasi, Bediako elaborated on his plan, citing examples of other nations extending maritime transport routes inland.

He drew inspiration from Dubai’s remarkable transformation from a desert landscape to a coastal city, illustrating the potential for similar achievements in Ghana.

“Why are we still transporting individual containers by road when the sea could offer a faster and more efficient means?” Bediako questioned.

He emphasized the shortcomings of the existing system, noting that goods transported by road frequently arrive damaged or spoiled after the six-hour journey from Tema Harbour to Kumasi.

“I want to open up the East and Western Corridor infrastructure,” Bediako emphasized.

“I want to build power stations, energy stations, connect the gas, create industries, and bring technology.”

Advocating for a transition towards value addition and local manufacturing, Bediako urged Ghana to manufacture its own electronic devices using domestic resources like lithium and plastics.

As part of his nationwide tour, termed a listening tour, Bediako is dedicating five days to engage with ordinary Ghanaians in the Ashanti Region, integrating their visions and aspirations into his manifesto for the upcoming national election in December.

“The resources are here in the Ashanti region… all of these places need plants, energy; you need power stations to at least give industrial tariffs,” he added.

Bediako criticized the current leadership, alleging that their focus lies on personal gain rather than the nation’s development.

We have not joined the NDC – The New Force

The New Force political movement has denied rumors suggesting that its founder, Nana Kwame Bediako, also known as Cheddar, has joined the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

In a statement released on Saturday, February 17, the movement clarified that any reports linking Cheddar to the NDC are untrue and should be ignored.

The statement reiterated that the New Force has no plans to ally with any organization or political party in pursuit of its goals. However, it voiced concerns about purported efforts by the government or its agents to undermine Cheddar’s leadership.

“It has come to the attention of the New Force Team that certain online news outlets are publishing news items purporting that Nana Kwame Bediako, leader of The New Force has joined or intends to join NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama.”

“The news items make it appear as though Nana Kwame Bediako finds it expedient to join another political party organisation because several efforts and plans of The New Force have so far been frustrated by the current government administration,” an excerpt of the statement said.

Cheddar advocates railways development to revolutionize Ghana’s transport system

Aspiring presidential candidate, and founder of #TheNewForce, Nana Kwame Bediako, popularly known as Cheddar, has highlighted the urgent need for infrastructure development in Ghana, particularly emphasizing the expansion of railways as a priority.

During a media engagement, Cheddar expressed his dismay over the current state of transportation infrastructure in the country, noting that in 2024, the primary mode of transporting goods remains limited to roads.

He emphasized the absence of alternative modes such as waterways and railways, which he believes are essential for efficient and sustainable transportation.

Outlining the projects he intends to implement, he noted that:”We also have infrastructure development and the infrastructure development of course there are  a lot of things that we need to do in this country. Expansion of railways is one of the most important things to me. I don’t see why we are in 2024 and the only way of transporting goods in our country is by road.”

Highlighting the environmental impact of overreliance on road transportation, Cheddar raised concerns about pollution and emphasized the need for sustainable solutions to modernize Ghana’s transportation system.

“You can’t even put anything on any water and you can’t move containers by railways. So we can move a 100 containers from the harbor to go to one place but everyone of these containers is going on a truck and is driving on a road and is polluting the environment and it makes us think that we are not thinking to be with the modern world,” he added.

As Ghana prepares for upcoming elections, Cheddar’s focus on infrastructure development and sustainable transportation solutions adds a unique perspective to the political discourse.

Cheddar pledges regional industrial revolution if elected President

Leader of the New Force Movement, Nana Kwame Bediako, also known as Cheddar, has emphasized his commitment to the advancement of the Ghanaian economy and shared insights into his vision for national development.

He made this known when he visited the leadership of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) in Accra on Tuesday to outline his vision and goals for the country.

“We have realised that politicians work so hard to be elected for whatever next election that is coming so they can become president, but a leader’s priority is to build a nation or a generation, and that is my priority,” said Nana Kwame Bediako.

“These are my core interests. These are what I stand for. And I know that most of you have been promised based on political campaigns. I like to say to Ghana that I don’t make promises, but one thing I can assure this nation is that I have a purpose that will benefit the citizens of this nation,” he indicated.

Cheddar outlined his ambitious plans for his presidency, stating that his initial focus would be on spearheading a regional industrial revolution across all 16 regions of the country.

“From where I sit in the business world, the only city that is fully active and economically viable is Accra. So there are 15 regions that we can develop,” the New Force leader said.

“Every region in this country is supposed to have a purpose and to have access to its resources, both human and mineral resources,” he said, adding, “I am not saying that current and past governments have not thought of this, but it has not been done in a way that we can say that we have 15 viable regions that are contributing to our economy.”

He emphasized that this policy would ensure that each region could harness its human and natural resources effectively, directing them towards its own development objectives.

‘Ghetto youth’ endorse Cheddar for president: “You are the only one who can save Ghana, we are with you!”

A video of a group of young men, some shirtless, with tattoos and dreadlocks, declaring their support for Nana Kwame Bediako, also known as Cheddar, has gone viral on social media.

The video was posted by a Twitter user, @eddie_wrt, who captioned it: “The ghetto youth, who are often overlooked and marginalized, have a powerful message for the leader of the New Force, Nana Kwame Bediako (also known as Cheddar).”

In the video, one of the young men, who spoke on behalf of the others, said: “Cheddar, this morning we come in peace. We have realized you are the only one who can save Ghana because we have noticed our leaders have no plan for us. Look at the amount of children on the streets, look at the amount of people who are very talented and can help Ghana but are on the streets. So Cheddar, as for us, we are now with you, so you can save Ghana. So we have started campaigning for you so you can become our next leader. Thank you very much.”

The young men, who did not identify themselves as the “ghetto youth”, expressed their dissatisfaction with the current state of affairs in Ghana and their hope for a better future under Cheddar’s leadership.

They also said they were ready to mobilize their peers and communities to vote for Cheddar in the upcoming presidential election.

Cheddar is the leader of the New Force movement, a political party that he announced in January 2024, after declaring his intention to run for president.

Cheddar is a Ghanaian businessman, entrepreneur, industrialist, philanthropist, and real estate mogul. He is the founder and CEO of the Kwarleyz Group, which encompasses several brands, including Belfast City & Property Management, Petronia City Construction, and Wonda World Estates.

Cheddar is a joke! – Sofo Kyiri Abosom mocks Nana Kwame Bediako’s presidential aspirations

Founder and Leader of the Ghana Union Movement, Rev. Christian Kwabena Andrews, popularly known as Osofo Kyiri Abosom, has scoffed at the presidential aspirations of Ghanaian businessman Nana Kwame Bediako, also known as Cheddar.

In an interview, Osofo Kyiri Abosom described Cheddar’s bid for the presidency as a joke.

Cheddar, the Leader and Founder of The New Force, recently announced his intention to run for the highest office in the land, citing perceived shortcomings in various aspects of Ghanaian society that he believes he can address.

In a recent interview, Cheddar appealed to Ghanaians to support his bid, expressing confidence in his ability to effect positive change. “Please give me the chance let me do it I have the energy, I have the time, I have the grace, I have the glory,” he said.

However, speaking on the Ghana Kasa show on Kasapa 102.5FM, Osofo Kyiri Abosom dismissed Cheddar’s ambitions, labeling them as mere folly. He criticized Cheddar for spending lavishly on billboards, asserting that such actions do not translate to votes.

“This man is joking, you can’t just enter the political landscape and contest to be President by mounting huge billboards here and there to waste money. Billboards don’t vote, it is huge money he’s throwing away that’s why I say he’s joking,” Osofo Kyiri Abosom remarked.

He went on to suggest that Cheddar should align himself with political parties that share his ideologies and policies rather than pursuing a solo candidacy. Osofo Kyiri Abosom highlighted the similarity between Cheddar’s statements and the Ghana Union Movement’s (GUM) long-standing positions, implying that collaboration with existing parties would be more effective.

“We are on the ground, if he thinks he has money to help move this country forward, what you have to do is to sit down and look at parties who have similar ideologies and policies as you do and work with such a party,” he advised.

In conclusion, Osofo Kyiri Abosom remarked cynically that Cheddar should continue to spend his money as he sees fit, suggesting that Ghanaians should take advantage of his generosity.

  • Cheddar could push 2024 presidential elections to a run-off – Dr Theo Acheampong

Cheddar could push 2024 presidential elections to a run-off – Dr Theo Acheampong

Political Risk Analyst, Dr. Theo Acheampong, has opined that the leader of The New Force, Nana Kwame Bediako, also known as Cheddar, could potentially play a significant role in the 2024 presidential elections.

In a post on X on February 5, Dr Acheampong noted that Cheddar’s involvement could result in the elections not being decided in the first round, necessitating a run-off between the top candidates, the flagbearers of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and National Democratic Congress (NDC), former President John Dramani Mahama.

According to the political analyst, Nana Kwame Bediako could garner between three to five percent.

“A myriad of other independent candidates (the main one being Nana Kwame Bediako a.k.a. ‘Cheddar’) could pull a surprise and collectively get between 3%-5% of the poll, forcing a second-round,” he wrote.

Dr Acheamong noted that this assertion is not derived from a scientific approach, but rather, a hunch.

In January this year, the business mogul, Nana Kwame Bediako, unmasked himself as the face behind the New Force political movement, quickly jumping into the presidential race ahead of the December polls.

Since the announcement, Cheddar has been informing Ghanaians of his vision for the country. But some Ghanaians continue to focus on investigating his source of wealth and extravagant lifestyle.

Cheddar urged Ghanaians to shift their focus towards the positive contributions he can make to the nation, rather than scrutinizing the origins of his wealth.

In his perspective, inquiries into the source of his wealth amount to judgment and do not accurately reflect the dedication and hard work he has invested in amassing his prosperity.

Many believe that the New Force could be the third force to topple down the duopoly in Ghana’s political landscape.

Rich men in East Legon are supporting Cheddar’s New Force – Reports

A group of affluent individuals from East Legon are said to be behind the new political movement named “The New Force,” with the aim of challenging the current government and seeking political power.

Leading this movement is Nana Kwame Bediako, also known as Cheddar, who is the Presidential candidate.

Cheddar, a highly successful entrepreneur with investments in media, real estate, and other sectors, is expected to announce another affluent member of the Executive Club as the Vice President of The New Force in the coming weeks.

The New Force is said to include not only business magnates and wealthy technocrats but also influential political elites and members of the Ghanaian aristocracy. While the movement aims to wrest power, there are indications linking it to the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

As the specifics and ideology of The New Force are yet to be revealed, it remains to be seen how this new political movement will impact the existing political landscape and potentially challenge the authority of the current government.

The formation of such a force by wealthy and influential individuals from East Legon has generated significant attention from the public, political observers, and security agencies.

“My father and I did not speak for two years because of it,” he told Lexis Bill on Personality Profile last Thursday. “It pained me and I began to go off track.”

Fast forward over 20 years later, the philanthropic arm of his business, the CH Group Foundation, recently donated $100,000 to the Ghana Covid-19 Private Sector Fund.

The donation is to help complete the construction of Ghana’s first infectious disease isolation and treatment facility, fully equipped with 100 beds.

The donation came after of Mr Bediako and his team decided to feed the needy during the height of the coronavirus pandemic, which according to him was very successful, having served 150,000 meals throughout the country.

Several weeks after the outbreak, it was announced that CH Group would make a hefty donation to build a facility in efforts to support the fight against Covid-19.

He acknowledged that while he had a terrific relationship with his father, his inability to deal with the divorce and his failing grades drove a wedge between himself and his father, pushing him into the company of bad friends.

After word went around that his son was not performing well academically, Mr Bediako’s father introduced him to his business in the oil sector, and that is how Kwaku Bediako’s career took off.

In 1997, he founded Chase Petroleum, a market-leading oil trading and bulk distributor.

Two years later, he tapped into the real estate market and established Goldkey Properties, a development and management firm that specializes in building upscale residential and commercial properties in prime locations across Accra.

As of today, Mr Bediako’s company oversees eight subsidiaries across Ghana, including the Tema Tank Firm Limited, Chase Petroleum and Barton Homes.

According to him, the biggest challenge he overcame thus far was choosing to focus on a specific industry in business.

“When the success came, there was so much going on,” he said. “I was in oil and there was a lot of money in it. I had to decide whether to buy big cars, chase women and misbehave or whether I should stay quiet and invest.”

He chose the latter, although he admits it was challenging to earn the amount of money he made at such a young age. “It can be easy to make mistakes,” he added.

Mr Bediako believes that a large part of his success is attributed to his drive to keep growing. “If I stand still I will sink. That is what keeps me going.” he disclosed.

Furthermore, he advises that success comes from building trust with people over time.

“I could have taken advantage of people but I never did. Cheating will always catch up with you so I always look at the big picture.”

Always focusing on the “big picture,” he concluded, has never let him down. “Think big. Don’t be distracted by the little things and you will go far.”

Nana Kwame Bediako, also known as Cheddar, has expressed concern about the increasing prevalence of political misinformation on social media.

On January 26, 2024, the head of the New Force Movement posted on X, sharing a 24-second video featuring two shots of himself. In the initial frame, he highlights that his perspectives were altered using technology.

“eii Ghana ay3 hu oo! Artificial intelligence manipulation has the power to ignite our tense political climate and inflame the public.

“The Authorities should step in as this could happen to anyone, endangering relationships and reputations. Let us join forces to stop these incessant attacks.#TheNewForce, the voice of the people,” he captioned his post.

In the manipulated portion of the video, he is heard purportedly saying, “Mark it on the wall, Ghanaians. if NPP and their corrupt government take my name and image from the election ballot in 2024, I promise you this country will sink.”

That portion of the video has a “fake” label slapped across it.

“If we don’t get on our feet to turn our own resources and refine them into things that the world will also demand from us, our nations will benefit from it…,” he said in the other part, which reflects his original view as captured in an interview.

Political analysts have raised concerns about the possible repercussions of deliberate political disinformation and manipulation of information in the upcoming 2024 general elections.

Cheddar assumed his political role earlier this year by announcing his presidential candidacy. However, he has voiced his frustrations regarding the obstacles he encounters, citing political intimidation and bureaucratic hurdles with the Electoral Commission.

Viral photo sparks conversations as Cheddar and Wife receive prayers on church altar

A widely circulated photo of Nana Kwame Bediako (Cheddar) and his wife kneeling on the church altar while receiving prayers from Bishop Charles Agyinasare has ignited discussions on social media.

Cheddar, a member of Perez Chapel International and the founder of the New Force movement, was captured facing the congregation while being prayed for by the general overseer.

The image depicts him holding hands with his wife as they absorb the prayers.

This photo has triggered varied reactions from netizens, with some applauding him for seeking divine intervention amid his political aspirations, while others criticize him for what they perceive as a futile endeavor.

It is noteworthy that seeking prayers from Bishop Agyinasare is not uncommon among politicians, as figures like Sam George, former president Mahama, and NDC leadership have been previously seen receiving blessings from the Perez Chapel founder.

Cheddar’s recent public appearances and his venture into politics have sparked scrutiny from online observers.

Known for his interactions with top-tier celebrities, both locally and internationally, Cheddar expressed concern that people might misinterpret his public persona. In a discussion on Joy FM, he urged Ghanaians to focus on the substance of his political message rather than his outward appearance.

    Background

On January 7, Cheddar, who had concealed his identity for several months while promoting his campaign, ‘The New Force,’ revealed himself as the purported ‘messiah’ with the mission to rebuild Ghana and Africa.

Stepping onto the stage during a press conference prompted by the government’s abrupt cancellation of a rally called ‘The Convention 2024,’ Nana Kwame Bediako asserted that there was no reason to fear him.

The intended Convention, planned in Accra, had brought together influential African thought leaders such as Professor PLO Lumumba, Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quao from Zimbabwe, and Peter Obi to address key challenges facing the continent’s development.

You must not be proud if you’ve stolen Ghana’s money – Cheddar

Leader of The New Force, Nana Kwame Bediako, also known as Cheddar, has expressed the belief that individuals who accumulate wealth through political positions cannot be considered successful.

He asserted that he is not proud of people who have amassed their wealth through politics and does not aspire to be like those individuals.

He also noted that such individuals cannot have an iota of pride in stealing from state coffers.

Speaking in an interview with the Daily Graphic, Cheddar emphasized that his values align with those of leaders like former President Dr Kwame Nkrumah and other African figures who prioritize the development of their countries over personal financial gains.

“There are Ghanaians that are doing well. The question is, are they doing well because they are entrepreneurs, or are they doing well because the government wants them to do well? If that is the case, we are not going to have the industrial leaders that we need, commercial leaders that we need, or political leaders that we need.

We need stronger people who are self-made, not someone that has been built over state money. Stealing your own country’s money and calling yourself a successful person, I’m not proud of you and I’m not proud to be one of them and I don’t want to be, I’m not interested that’s why I keep telling you that my spirit is evolving around the likes of Kwame Nkrumah and those kind of leaders. It is not in our interest to use the state to make money for ourselves,” he said.

In a recently circulated viral video, a group of Ghanaian youth has voiced their dissatisfaction with the current leadership of Ghana.

Expressing a collective desire for change, they have unequivocally thrown their support behind the leader of The New Force Movement ,Nana Kwame Bediako, popularly known as Cheddar or Freedom Jacob Caesar.

In the video, the impassioned group emphasized their belief that Cheddar is the best person to lead Ghana, asserting that the government has fallen short in addressing critical issues in the country.

Specifically, they pointed to the plight of Ghanaian street children in areas like Konkoma, Kaneshie, Circle, and others.

According to them, these children possess untapped talents that could significantly contribute to the country’s development but have been neglected due to economic challenges.

“With no doubts we believe you are the best person to save Ghana, the others have nothing to write home about. They are not helping us. Look at the Ghanaian street children at Konkoma, Kaneshie, Circle, others. These children have talents that can help Ghana but they have been left unattended due to the country’s economic challenges. We call on you to come and save the country. We have started campaigning for you. We want you, we will vote for you.

Cheddar in recent times has revealed his bid to contest the presidential elections on December 7, 2024.

Faced with challenges in registering his political party, he revealed plans to run as an independent candidate during an interview on The Point of View on Citi TV.

Criticizing the government’s economic management, Mr Bediako pledged to rescue the country from further hardships.

He emphasized his commitment to building a middle-income nation, generating job opportunities for the youth and fostering their active involvement in governance.

I am not backing down despite the intimidation – Cheddar tells govt

Founder of the New Force, Nana Kwame Bediako, also known as Cheddar, has stated that he remains resolute and steadfast in his position despite what he perceives as attempts by the government to intimidate or pressure him.

Cheddar believes there are concerted efforts, possibly through the tax evasion allegations, to coerce or influence him in a way that could impact his political ambitions.

The GRA had imposed a fine of GH¢50,000 on Bediako, claiming he failed to file personal income tax returns from 2013 to 2016. Despite settling an amount of GH¢209,171 between 2018 and 2020, a January 18 publication reported that Bediako allegedly neglected to file returns for the post-2020 period.

In rejecting the tax evasion claims, Bediako has asserted that these allegations are part of a deliberate effort by the government to sabotage his political aspirations.

In response to the tax evasion claims, Nana Kwame Bediako took to social media on January 18, 2024, to defend himself and address the situation.

Speaking in local parlance he said “ I woke up this morning, only to see my pictures on the front cover of multiple publications alleging that I have evaded taxes. I have dedicated almost 22 or 23 years in this country. When it comes to taxes,  I have consistently fulfilled my obligations and continue to do so.”

He emphasized that, given his regular importation of goods into the country, it would have been impossible for him to evade taxes without detection up to the present date.

Emphasizing his commitment to fulfilling tax obligations, Nana Kwame Bediako, popularly known as Cheddar, pointed out that despite his consistently high income, he has consistently ensured the timely payment of taxes.

Expressing bewilderment at the situation, Cheddar questioned the motives behind the Ghana Revenue Authority’s (GRA) choice to publish his pictures in connection with the tax evasion allegations.

He suggested that this move by the government was a deliberate tactic to embarrass him. However, he noted that such actions would prove futile.

“If we consider the state of the economy and the hardship we face as citizens, it appears the government was doing nothing to alleviate our difficulties.

“The government intends to disgrace me, so it published my pictures in the papers. No, you cannot disgrace a man whom God has graced,” he said.

He added that “The New Force, we are moving forward. We will not stop and no matter what you say, the way is forward.”

Taking advantage of the situation, Cheddar used the opportunity to make a broader appeal to the government. He called on authorities to focus on creating more job opportunities to address the issue of unemployment, emphasizing that it’s crucial to have a larger portion of the population gainfully employed rather than relying on a few individuals.

He pointed out his observation that the government, in his view, has struggled to meet its responsibilities. If elected, he pledged to provide transparency by furnishing evidence of how tax revenues are utilized, differentiating his approach from what he perceives as shortcomings in the current government’s accountability.

Founder of the New Force, Nana Kwame Bediako, also known as Cheddar, has countered accusations of tax evasion made by the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) while alleging that the government is attempting to undermine him due to his presidential ambitions in the 2024 elections.

The GRA further estimated tax assessments for Bediako at GH¢2,088,228 and GH¢5,096,536 for the years 2021-2022, respectively, along with penalties for his failure to file his personal income tax returns.

Bediako, also known as Cheddar, has vehemently denied these accusations, suggesting that the GRA aimed to disgrace him and tarnish his reputation. He expressed the belief that he was being targeted despite being one of the few individuals consistently fulfilling his tax obligations.

“The President is nothing to us let alone a ‘Kubolor Boy’ who just got money” – Blakk Rasta to Cheddar

Reggae Musician and Radio Personality Blakk Rasta has voiced his opinion on business mogul and aspiring presidential candidate Nana Kwame Bediako, popularly known as Cheddar.

Rasta described Cheddar as a mere ‘Kubolor Boy’ who, despite newfound wealth, displays poor English-speaking skills and flaunts his riches.

The criticism arose after Cheddar threatened to acquire Blakk Rasta’s media outfit and demote him for expressing disapproval of Cheddar’s decision to rear tigers.

Blakk Rasta, an animal activist, strongly maintained that forcibly domesticating wild animals, such as removing their claws and teeth, amounts to animal cruelty and is unacceptable.

The clash of opinions has brought attention to the ethical concerns surrounding Cheddar’s choice to keep tigers.

“The President is nothing to us let alone such a ‘Kubolor Boy’ who just got money that cannot even construct proper sentences…I am shocked. This guy wants to be President. Are you mad? You have brought tigers, declawed them and removed their teeth, I said it was wrong. Come on the debating table with me, you tell me it’s legal. Ghana allows it so it’s ok. Yeah, Ghana allows it but it’s not everything Ghana allows that is ok. I am an animal activist. Brother says he doesn’t understand,” he hit back at Cheddar.

“I have consistently fulfilled my tax obligations” – Cheddar

Nana Kwame Bediako, the founder of New Force, has refuted allegations of tax evasion put forth by the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA).

The leader of New Force garnered attention in state newspapers due to his omission of personal income tax returns for the years 2013 to 2016, resulting in a fine of GH¢50,000.

A publication dated January 18 highlighted that despite settling an amount of GH¢209,171 for the period between 2018 and 2020, Bediako once again failed to submit his returns for the post-2020 period.

The publication further noted GRA’s estimation of Cheddar’s tax assessments to be GH¢2,088,228 and GH¢5,096,536 for the years 2021-2022, coupled with penalties for his non-compliance with personal income tax filings.

In response, Mr. Bediako has asserted that the GRA’s allegations are an attempt to disgrace him and tarnish his reputation.

He suggests that he is being unfairly targeted despite being among the few individuals consistently fulfilling their tax obligations.

On January 18, 2024, Nana Kwame Bediako, popularly known as Cheddar, addressed the tax evasion allegations by utilizing social media platform X to provide his response.

Speaking in local parlance he said “ I woke up this morning, only to see my pictures on the front cover of multiple publications alleging that I have evaded taxes. “The government intends to disgrace me, so it published my pictures in the papers. No, you cannot disgrace a man whom God has graced,” he said.

He further expressed that if the GRA harbored concerns about the timeliness of his tax payments, they could have opted for a meeting instead of the method they chose.

Cheddar took the chance to call upon the government to generate more employment opportunities, aiming to alleviate unemployment rather than relying solely on a limited number of private individuals to sustain themselves.

Emphasizing his observation that the government struggles to fulfill its obligations, he declared his intention to vie for the presidency of Ghana. Unlike the current government, he pledged to transparently showcase evidence of how tax revenues would be utilized under his leadership.
