I will let him use you and dump you – Agradaa warns ‘flirts’ after her husband, Asiamah

Evangelist Mama Pat, widely known as Nana Agradaa, has shared that she would not be bothered if her husband, Angel Asiamah, engaged in sexual intercourse with any woman who attempted to seduce him.

Expressing her perspective, she mentioned that, despite being married, she has granted her husband the freedom to engage in such encounters if any woman tries to flirt with him.

Agradaa emphasised her bewilderment at why some women would pursue a relationship with a married man.

During a discussion on her Thunder TV, as reported by GhanaWeb, Agradaa conveyed that she receives numerous benefits from her husband, Asiamah, and encourages him to engage in intimate relations with any woman who attempts to entice him.

“Those of you who want to flirt with my husband should be careful. Is there anything wrong with conversing with someone on the phone?

“The benefits I get from my husband and the way he loves me—if you try to seduce him, I will let him have sex with you and it will not go anywhere. Prophet, I am telling you that for anyone who comes your way, make sure you utilise her sexually,” said Agradaa.

Agradaa and Asiamah recently tied the knot, which sparked reactions from netizens on social media, questioning whether their marriage will survive the test of time.

In Ghana, a new and captivating trend is taking the fashion scene by storm: the rise of male hair dye. This trend has caught the interest of citizens, with Ghanaian creatives proudly flaunting their unique hair colours, sparking discussions about its deeper implications.

Breaking away from the past association of hair dye with women and limited colour options, Ghanaian men are boldly redefining self-expression through vibrant hair colours.

Local barbershops are witnessing a surge in requests for hair dye services, introducing bright blues, reds, and electric greens to the streets of Accra.

While the trend gains momentum, controversy among citizens arises. Some express concern, questioning if there’s a deeper meaning or if it’s merely a matter of personal choice.

Exploring male hair dye in Ghana reveals it as more than a passing fad; it’s a statement of individuality and a celebration of creativity.

This revolution challenges norms, empowering men to express themselves in a society where stereotypes often dictate fashion choices.

  • Man U reminds me of Ghana, we have everything but can’t perform – IEA’s John Kwakye fumes

Man U reminds me of Ghana, we have everything but can’t perform – IEA’s John Kwakye fumes

Director of Research at the Institute of Economic Affairs, John Kwakye, drew a parallel between the Ghanaian government’s approach and the current struggles of the Premier League football club, Manchester United.

Drawing attention to the ongoing discussions about Manchester United’s lacklustre performance, Kwakye remarked that, similarly, Ghana possesses all the necessary resources for prosperity but laments that these resources are not being effectively utilised.

He attributed the country’s underperformance to issues of poor leadership and governance.

John Kwakye wrote on X: “Man U reminds me of Ghana. As a country, we have abundant resources and talent. Yet we can’t perform. And it’s all because of bad leadership. The NPP and NDC are like “Konongo Kaya.” They can’t do the job, yet they won’t allow anyone else to do it. It is a hopeless situation!”

Previously, the economist characterised the 2023 Christmas period as the most costly in Ghana’s history.

Through a series of posts on X, where he expressed concern about the state of Ghana’s economy, Dr. Kwakye pointed to the noticeable decrease in both economic and social activities as evidence supporting his assertion.

“When inflation skyrocketed to 54% in December 2022, it took prices to record highs. While it has decelerated since then, prices have continued to rise, though at lower rates. This Xmas will go down as the most expensive in our history! The relatively low activity is a testimony to that,” he posted.

Acknowledging the recent economic challenges in Ghana, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo asserted in his 2023 Christmas message that the country is on a path to recovery, attributing this positive shift to prudent management by his government.

In a touching moment on New Year’s Eve, Ronaldo presented her with a new Porsche Cayenne as a birthday gift.

The emotional surprise moved Maria Dolores Aveiro to tears, especially when she was led to the car by Ronaldo’s son, Cristiano Jr.

Ronaldo made a midnight journey from Saudi Arabia to be with his mother on December 31 in Madeira for her birthday celebration.

His sister, Katia Aveiro, later shared images on social media capturing the moment when Ronaldo surprised Maria Dolores with the new Porsche Cayenne.

The entire gathering was left in awe by this unexpected and generous birthday gift.

Katia also praised Ronaldo for his kindness in a message to her Instagram followers, stating: “If she is happy, it is because her son remembers her and not because of the value of the gift.

Honour your father and your mother and your days on earth will be long.”

Ronaldo is now set for a brief hiatus from football to spend time with his family.

His Saudi Pro League team, Al-Nassr, is not scheduled to play again until early February when they face off against Al Feiha in the AFC Champions League.

The 38-year-old center-forward concluded the year 2023 with a total of 54 goals for both club and country. This impressive tally included a goal in Al-Nassr’s final Saudi Pro League match against Al-Taawoun.

  • Was Nigel Gaisie’s New Year prophecies directed at IGP Dampare?

Was Nigel Gaisie’s New Year prophecies directed at IGP Dampare?

In the early hours of January 1, 2024, Nigel Gaisie, the founder of Prophetic Hill Chapel, shared his New Year prophecies, primarily focusing on the political landscape of the country in an election year.

One significant revelation was his prediction that former president John Dramani Mahama would secure re-election, marking a triumphant return after facing two consecutive defeats.

Gaisie also delved into the parliamentary arena, suggesting that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) could potentially increase their seats to around 170, a notable rise from their current 137 seats.

However, amidst these projections, Gaisie issued a cautionary note to the NDC, advising them to remain vigilant in light of potential attempts to manipulate the election results by the ruling government.

Furthermore, Gaisie expressed concern about a yet-to-be-named police chief, urging them to uphold fairness during the elections to ensure their retention under the incoming government.

This dual warning underscored Gaisie’s emphasis on the need for integrity and transparency in both the electoral process and the conduct of key figures within law enforcement.

“A police chief who can take care of security will likely be retained as IGP; if he will order his steps well, he will be retained,” the prophet said adding: “If he is careful, he will be called upon to be a running mate (later).”

Leading the current police administration is George Akuffo Dampare, serving as the Inspector-General of Police. However, he has faced criticism from religious leaders, particularly from men of God.

This backlash stems from allegations that his directives, which aim to curb prophecies inducing fear and panic, are deemed ungodly and unacceptable by these spiritual figures.

The controversy surrounding Dampare’s stance on prophetic messages has sparked a debate, highlighting tensions between law enforcement policies and religious freedoms.

  • Disappointed Pep fumes they deserved the loss after careless play with Crystal Palace

Disappointed Pep fumes they deserved the loss after careless play with Crystal Palace

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola strongly criticised his team for their negligent defending and an unnecessary late-game penalty that led to a costly 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace on Saturday, asserting that they earned the result.

“It’s not bad luck; it’s deserved,” an angry Guardiola told reporters after the game. “We give away two points. When you give away this penalty, you deserve it. You see the chances we created and conceded—it’s quite similar to all this season—but we are not able to close the games. That is the feeling.”

City has displayed an unusual vulnerability recently, enduring a six-game

win. Jack Grealish and Rico Lewis found the net in the first half at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday. However, Jean-Philippe Mateta pulled one back for Palace, and Michael Olise converted a penalty in the 95th minute after Phil Foden fouled Mateta in the box.

The draw left the treble winners in fourth place in the tightly contested title race with 34 points.

However, City has played one more game than the three teams above them: Liverpool, who top the table with 37 points, Arsenal, and Aston Villa, all scheduled to play on Sunday.

“At the end, be patient, don’t concede transitions and don’t concede,” Guardiola said of the disappointing result.”But of course, in the first action (Palace) run and score a goal and in the last minute, we give them (a penalty). In the 18-yard box, you have to be careful and we weren’t. We don’t deserve to win.”

Grealish cut a dejected figure after the game

City has relinquished nine points this season due to conceding goals after the 80th minute.

Compounding the team’s challenges is the absence of the league’s top scorer, Erling Haaland, who has missed two consecutive Premier League games with a stress reaction in his foot that could potentially progress into a more severe stress fracture.

The 23-year-old striker has amassed 14 league goals this season.

They are “ignorant” – Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo tells critics who accused Sonnie Badu’s of pulling publicity stunt

Entertainment pundit Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo has expressed disappointment with individuals who dismissed Sonnie Badu’s accident as a publicity stunt.

Badu shared images on social media revealing injuries sustained a few days before his Rhythms of Africa concert in Accra.

Some netizens suggested the accident was a publicity stunt, but Arnold, part of Sonnie Badu’s team, understands the scepticism, acknowledging that such incidents are often perceived as hype. Speaking on UTV’s United Showbiz, Arnold emphasised that Ghanaians are accustomed to treating such situations with scepticism.

“Before Sonnie was about to start his show, people said he had faked his injury and that before the event, he had crutches and at the event, he put away the crutches and then after, went back for it. He is fake, his injury is fake and he only wants hype. I don’t begrudge all those who said that.

“Maybe if I were on the other side, I would say that it’s true because a couple of days before your event, like a week, you claim you have an injury, you’ve had surgery and you are using crutches.”

“Probably it’s a stunt. And I will say that because in Ghana, more often than not, a lot of things are perceived to be stunts. Do you remember Wendy Shay having a similar experience when she came here? So our mindset is such that anything that happens, the first thing we think or say is that it’s a stunt and hype. It’s fine because hype is part of the industry. But all those who said that are ignorant and that’s not an insult,” he said.

Arnold added that Sonnie Badu had initially assured the public of his readiness for the show despite the accident. The musician had mentioned that doctors informed him they would provide medications to alleviate the pain on the event day.

Arnold drew parallels with sports, where athletes receive medical treatment for injuries during crucial games.

He emphasised that if such measures are acceptable in sports, Sonnie Badu’s incident and his ability to perform seamlessly on the concert night should not raise eyebrows or prompt doubts.

Ghanaian-born boxer Sena Agbeko faced a challenging bout against Cuban defending champion David Morrell Jr. in their WBA middleweight match held at The Armoury in Minneapolis on Saturday, December 16.

From the outset, it was clear that Agbeko had a formidable opponent in the Cuban-born Morrell, who unleashed a flurry of punches.

Unfortunately, Agbeko struggled to match his opponent’s intensity.

Morrell’s powerful punches proved too much for Agbeko, prompting referee Mark Nelson to step in and halt the fight at 1:43 in the second round.

Morrell’s decisive victory allowed him to retain his WBA secondary super middleweight title, securing his ninth knockout in 10 fights.

The turning point occurred when Morrell stunned Agbeko with a left hand, rendering him defenceless against a relentless onslaught of punches. Referee Nelson had no choice but to intervene to protect Agbeko, sealing Morrell’s victory.

Sena Agbeko, based in Nashville, entered the fight with a record of 28 wins, including 22 knockouts and 2 defeats. However, he experienced his second knockout defeat in his professional career, marking his third overall career defeat.

This defeat follows Agbeko’s previous bout, where he encountered challenges securing a licence in April 2023. Despite hopes for a triumphant return, Morrell’s dominant performance dashed those expectations for Agbeko and his Ghanaian fans.

Our hearts bleed! – Frustrated Hearts of Oak fans stage protests over team’s lackluster

A group of disgruntled Accra Hearts of Oak fans expressed their frustration through a protest at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex during the team’s match against Nations FC in the Ghana Premier League on Saturday, December 16, 2023.

The supporters, adorned with red headbands and holding placards, used the match as an opportunity to voice their discontent over the team’s lacklustre performance, having failed to secure a victory in their last five matches.

The sentiments were noticeable as the placards bore messages such as “We need a competent local coach,” “We need strikers,” and “Hearts is bleeding,” among other expressions of frustration.

The top brass of the Hearts of Oak board found themselves at the centre of blame, with calls for their dismissal gaining momentum during the protest.

The fans demanded accountability, expressing sentiments such as “We don’t need Nyaho,” “Hearts keep sinking under Togbe Afede,” and “Some board members are interfering with the coach’s job.”

Despite the pressure exerted by the demonstration, Hearts of Oak failed to secure a victory against Nations FC, conceding a late goal that resulted in a 1-1 draw.

The protest by the Hearts of Oak fans follows their team’s recent defeat at home in the Ghana Premier League against arch-rivals Asante Kotoko.

This demonstration occurs during a challenging period for Hearts of Oak in the league, marked by their struggle to secure a win in their last five matches.

With three draws and two defeats in recent outings, the Phobians find themselves in the 9th position on the league table, raising concerns of further descent after matchday 15.

In addition to these challenges, Hearts of Oak faced elimination from the MTN FA Cup at the prelims, suffering a setback at the hands of Nania FC.

The difficulties prompted the club to part ways with their Dutch coach, Martin Koopman, in the wake of the team’s poor run.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has expressed admiration for Barcelona boss Xavi amid speculation that the Blaugrana coach could be at risk of losing his job.

Despite Barcelona’s recent struggles, finding themselves seven points behind league leaders Girona, Ancelotti has urged the Catalan team to support Xavi through the challenging period.

In a pre-match press conference, Ancelotti stuck up for the under-fire manager, telling reporters: “In general, it’s normal for a coach to have criticism.

We have to accept it and then everyone can choose the criticisms that they consider fair and unfair.

“The judgement of the coaches is only based on the results. No one cares about the coach’s methodology or ability to manage the locker room. It’s only if he wins or doesn’t win and Xavi knows this very well. For me, he is a great coach.”

Tom Lockyer in stable condition after a cardiac arrest during Luton and Bournemouth clash

Luton has officially confirmed that their captain, Tom Lockyer, experienced a cardiac arrest during Saturday’s match against Bournemouth.

The club provided an additional update on Lockyer’s condition after he collapsed on the pitch during the Premier League clash. Lockyer received on-field treatment, was subsequently stretchered off, and was taken to the hospital.

The Premier League fixture was abandoned following the incident. Luton has now reported that Lockyer is in a stable condition, recovering in the hospital, and is with his family.

The club said in a statement: “Our medical staff have confirmed that the Hatters captain suffered cardiac arrest on the pitch but was responsive by the time he was taken off on the stretcher.

“He received further treatment inside the stadium, for which we once again thank the medical teams from both sides.

“Tom was transferred to the hospital, where we can reassure supporters that he is stable and currently undergoing further tests with his family at his bedside.

“We would like to thank everyone for their support, concern and loving messages for Locks.”

Lockyer previously collapsed while playing for Luton during the Championship play-off final. He was taken to the hospital and underwent treatment, telling the BBC in June that he’d been given the all-clear.

“I’ve had the operation to fix it and it shouldn’t happen again. There’s not really any reason to say why that happened,” he said. “I’ve been given the all-clear; it is what it is and I just want to draw a line under it now and move on. I’ve had my full heart checked and double checked with all the scans and tests they can do on a heart, and they’ve all come back positive.”

Following his second on-pitch collapse this year, Lockyer will undergo additional tests in the hospital.

Luton’s match against Bournemouth was abandoned, with the club confirming that the players and staff “were in no mind to continue” after witnessing their teammate’s collapse.

Manager Rob Edwards, visibly emotional, returned to the pitch to applaud supporters after the game had been called off.

Anti-LGBTQ+ bill is a violation of human rights, I’m against it – M.anifest

Ghanaian rapper M.anifest has expressed his non-support for the proposed passage of Ghana’s draft Proper Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values Bill (Anti-LGBTQ+), currently being deliberated in parliament.

Highlighting his rationale, he asserted that the Anti-LGBTQ+ bill, if enacted, would constitute a significant violation of human rights as individuals have the right to make choices in line with their beliefs.

While clarifying that he does not endorse gay and lesbian relationships, M.anifest argued against criminalising such acts, emphasising that it would encroach upon the rights of those involved.

In an interview with Pulse TV, M.anifest underscored the importance of not relying on religious beliefs to criminalise actions that impinge on human rights.

“I am not in support of the anti-LGBTQ+ bill. I’m not in support of anything that is a human rights violation. I think a lot of things in life are very basic. My viewpoints in life in terms of human rights are very basic.

“You can have disagreements, whether they’re religious or whatever, but when it comes to human rights, it’s quite clear. It’s not here to infringe on anybody’s rights, whether you disagree or not. So then, that’s quite simple. And that cuts across; for me, that’s a basic thing in life,” he said.

The Anti-LGBTQ+ bill is currently under consideration in parliament and it is championed by the Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram constituency, Sam Nartey George.

Some celebrities in the country have voiced concerns about the bill, citing human rights violations.

It remains to be seen whether the bill will be passed by parliament or not.

Despite the apology, Blakk Rasta maintained his criticism of President Akufo-Addo’s governance, describing him as a leader who has failed Ghanaians, but he pleaded for the president’s pardon.

“I want to send an apology to the President (Akufo-Addo). Do you know why? No matter how much you hate a man, you should never wish him dead. I was not brought up like that.

“Spiritually, mentally, physically and behaviorally. I will never wish a man dead. Out of frustration, we may make some utterances. I just saw the video and told myself, ‘No, this is a low blow’.

“Honourably, I apologise to the president of the Republic of Ghana. As much as you are a useless president, I don’t want to see you die. I want to see you live and suffer so that when you finally die, Satan can humbly and honestly sodomise you in hell.

“But I do not want to wish you dead. No. Even when my enemy dies, I don’t jubilate; I pray for him. It was a slip of the tongue. As useless as you are, you and your vice president do not die. Don’t visit an early grave,” he said during the UrbanBlend show on 3FM.

Blakk Rasta’s apology comes after he was vehemently criticised for asserting that he wished President Akufo-Addo would visit an early grave to free the nation from bad governance.

Claims over my future here not my “concern”, I feel the club’s support -Ten Hag, even after exit from Champion League

Despite Manchester United’s elimination from European competition, manager Erik ten Hag affirmed that he still enjoys the support of the club.

He expressed confidence and emphasized that he is “not concerned” about the potential escalation of pressure on his job, even as his team heads to Anfield following a series of less-than-ideal results, including the recent 1-0 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

With one win in their last five games, United faces Premier League leaders Liverpool on Sunday, but Ten Hag remains resolute, maintaining that another loss will not undermine his position.

“I am not concerned about that,” Ten Hag said in a news conference on Friday. “I want to win and progress the team in the right direction.

“I feel [the support of the club] and they say it but actually that is fine and that is OK, but I am focusing on the process to make this team play better and make the individuals better and that is my concern.”

Despite a challenging beginning to the season, marked by more losses (12) than victories (11) for United, Ten Hag remains optimistic about the team’s future.

He believes that a turnaround in their current poor form could pave the way for a brighter outlook.

“The future for Man United is very good,” he said. “You can see how many good players we have in the squad, how many good young players who have really high potential to play at top levels worldwide.

“But we have to develop that. I am sure that when the injuries come back we will perform better.”

Barca’s Giráldez informs club of plans to leave after contract expiry —Source

Barcelona Femení’s successful coach, Jonatan Giráldez, who led the team to a Champions League victory, has informed the club that he intends to depart when his contract expires at the end of the season, according to a source cited by ESPN’s Sam Marsden and Moises Llorens.

The 32-year-old Giráldez has communicated his decision now, providing Barcelona with time to devise a contingency plan for the upcoming season.

While local reports suggest Giráldez has attracted interest from multiple NWSL teams, including a notable offer, the source could not confirm these details to ESPN.

Giráldez is expected to address the media on Wednesday, preceding Barcelona’s Champions League game against Rosengård.

Taking over from Lluís Cortés in 2021, Giráldez, who was previously part of Cortés’s staff, has achieved significant success in his two years at the helm.

Barcelona clinched Liga F titles in the last two seasons, including an unbeaten league campaign in 2021–22 with 30 wins out of 30 games.

Additionally, they reached the finals of the last two Champions League editions, losing to Lyon in 2022 but securing a thrilling comeback victory against Wolfsburg with a 3-2 win in this year’s final, marking their second Champions League triumph.

Giráldez’s remarkable coaching performance earned him a nomination for The Best FIFA Women’s Coach Award 2023, alongside Chelsea’s Emma Hayes and England’s Sarina Wiegman.

While Giráldez has been linked to potential opportunities in the United States, details about his future plans remain unconfirmed at this stage.

Mbappe has about 30 days to decide on move to Real Madrid – Reports

Real Madrid is seeking a clear response from Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappé regarding his future by January 15, as reported by AS.

With Mbappé’s current contract with Paris Saint-Germain set to conclude in the summer, Real Madrid is now officially allowed to initiate discussions at the beginning of January for a potential summer move as a free agent.

Los Blancos aim to expedite the process, and a contract proposal will be presented to Fayza Lamari, Mbappé’s mother and agent.

Given the events of 2022, when Mbappé was strongly linked with a move to Madrid but ultimately chose to stay at PSG, Real Madrid is unwilling to wait extensively for a response.

The Spanish giants believe that setting a deadline of January 15 provides ample time for the French international to decide on representing the LaLiga team.

This approach is strategic, ensuring that Real Madrid has sufficient time to explore alternative solutions if a deal with Mbappé proves elusive. Among the alternatives, Manchester City striker Erling Haaland is one of the players they have been linked with.

Confident in their position, Real Madrid is optimistic that the development demonstrated by players like Jude Bellingham, Vinícius Júnior, and Rodrygo since joining the Santiago Bernabeu will serve as persuasive factors to convince Mbappé to make the move.

  • Arsenal race for Sporting CP’s Goncalo Inacio ahead of January transfer window

Arsenal race for Sporting CP’s Goncalo Inacio ahead of January transfer window

Arsenal is reportedly in pursuit of Goncalo Inacio to fortify their defense in the ongoing three-way title race with Liverpool and Manchester City.

According to A Bola, the Portuguese international and Sporting CP star, aged 22, has attracted the attention of Arsenal.

However, securing Inacio’s services could prove costly, given his crucial role at Liga Portugal leaders Sporting CP and the €60 million (£52m/$65m) release clause in his contract.

Inacio, known for his left-footed prowess, would provide formidable competition for Arsenal’s left-sided center-back, Gabriel Magalhaes.

In light of last season’s setback, where Arsenal faced defensive challenges following an injury to William Saliba, the club is actively seeking defensive depth in the upcoming January transfer window.

The Gunners are currently thin at the back, with the loss of summer-signing Jurrien Timber to an ACL injury in the Premier League season’s opening game.

Additionally, Arsenal is exploring the possibility of acquiring Inacio’s teammate and fellow defender, Ousmane Diomande, as part of their efforts to strengthen their defensive lineup.

Interestingly, Inacio has previously played against Arsenal and even scored a goal in Sporting’s 2-2 draw with the Gunners in the first leg of last season’s Europa League round of 16.

Sporting eventually eliminated Arsenal in a penalty shootout.

Considering Arsenal’s financial constraints and adherence to Financial Fair Play regulations, a January transfer seems unlikely unless the club makes a significant sale.

With both Sporting CP and Arsenal deeply involved in their respective title pursuits, neither side wishes to endure significant disruptions mid-season.

  • Real Madrid not ready to extend contract with Luka Modric

Real Madrid not ready to extend contract with Luka Modric

Real Madrid is set to part ways with Luka Modric as the club has decided not to offer the midfielder a new contract, bringing an end to his remarkable 12-year stint in the Spanish capital next summer.

Recognized as one of the greatest midfielders of all time, the 2018 Ballon d’Or winner has been instrumental in securing numerous trophies for Los Blancos since his move from Tottenham in 2012.

According to Sport, both the club and the player have reached an understanding that a new contract won’t be extended, paving the way for Modric’s departure in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Reports throughout the season have indicated that the 38-year-old has been discontent with his playing time under Carlo Ancelotti.

Consequently, Modric has been linked with several clubs, including a potential move to Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami and a reunion with Cristiano Ronaldo in the Saudi Pro League.

The midfield maestro, breaking the longstanding dominance of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, clinched the Ballon d’Or in 2018 for his outstanding contributions with Real Madrid and leading Croatia to their first World Cup final.

Modric’s win interrupted the continuous streak of victories for the Messi-Ronaldo duo, which began in 2008 with Ronaldo’s triumph.

While the former Tottenham Hotspur star is scheduled to return to league action against Villarreal on Sunday, December 17, there are expectations that he might once again find himself on the bench.

  • Arda Guler to still be away from Real Madrid matches till next year

Arda Guler to still be away from Real Madrid matches till next year

Real Madrid’s Turkish prodigy, Arda Guler, is not anticipated to make an appearance until at least 2024, prolonging his challenging initiation to life in Spain.

Despite his summer move from Fenerbahce, the 18-year-old has encountered difficulty securing a spot in the first team in the Spanish capital.

Hindered by injuries and facing stiff competition, especially from standout players like Jude Bellingham, Guler finds himself lower in the pecking order.

It seems unlikely that Guler will participate in Madrid’s remaining fixtures against Villarreal and Alaves this calendar year.

The coaching staff, preferring a cautious approach, aims to avoid hastening the ascent of the talented but inexperienced youngster.

They plan to reserve his debut for upcoming Spanish Supercup and Copa del Rey fixtures, allowing Guler a more gradual introduction to the limelight.

Guler’s signing marked a notable event, as he became the first Turkish player to join Real Madrid since Nuri Sahin’s transfer from Borussia Dortmund.

However, Sahin’s promising career was hindered by injuries and struggles to break into the Madrid lineup, a fate Guler hopes to avoid.

While Guler must exercise patience before donning the Madrid shirt for the first time, his much-anticipated debut is expected next year.

The young Turk aspires to emulate the success of his idol and former Madrid hero, Mesut Ozil.

Man Utd’s Marcus Rashford struck norovirus ahead of clash with Liverpool

Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford has been dealing with a bout of norovirus, characterised by vomiting and diarrhoea, leading up to the crucial match against rival Liverpool.

Rashford was absent from United’s recent fixture against Bayern Munich, where they faced an abrupt exit from the Champions League due to the illness.

Despite returning to training, his participation in the starting lineup remains uncertain as the club’s medical staff continues to monitor his health.

United, heading to Anfield for the first time since the previous season’s 7-0 defeat, aims to avoid a repeat of such humiliation. Rashford, who featured in the previous loss, is eager to make amends if his health allows.

The team enters the match as heavy underdogs, and their supporters hope to leave Anfield with at least their dignity intact this time.

With Rashford scoring just two goals in the current Premier League season, one of which was a penalty, compared to four at the same stage last season, the forward is keen on contributing to tomorrow’s game.

His goal is not only to jumpstart his personal form but also to revive United’s struggling campaign.

  • We can stop her—GHAMBRO on Asantewaa’s Guinness World Record Singathon

Rex Omar, Chairman of the Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO), has offered support and guidance to Afua Asantewaa O. Aduonum, the Ghanaian woman poised to set a new Guinness World Record for the longest singing marathon.

Rex Omar encouraged Asantewaa to prepare a comprehensive list of the songs she intends to perform during the event, underscoring the importance of sharing this list with the royalties collection agency.

He emphasised that compliance with this requirement is crucial to avoid potential restrictions by GHAMRO on Asantewaa from singing copyrighted songs.

In an interview on GTV, Rex Omar highlighted the significance of this advice in ensuring that artists and copyright holders receive due recognition and compensation for the use of their intellectual property.

“She has to list all the songs and their respective artistes. She may not necessarily know the right owners but when you put the artiste there, GHAMRO will know who the right owners are.

She should send a copy to GHAMRO. If she doesn’t do that, GHAMRO can come and stop her,” said Rex Omar in an interview with Kafui Dey.

    https://youtu.be/7aTIT90pYNg

He continued: “You cannot go and use somebody’s property… By law, she has to list the songs. She must do the right thing. List all the songs you want to sing, and give a copy to GHAMRO so that after you have finished, GHAMRO will follow the money. That is how it is done all over the world.”

Afua Asantewaa O. Aduonum, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Askof Productions Limited, is poised to undertake a remarkable four-day Guinness World Record (GWR) attempt at the Akwaaba Village. Beyond a personal milestone, her primary goal is to champion and elevate Ghanaian music through this extensive musical marathon.

With the ambition to surpass the current record set in 2012 by Indian participant Sunil Waghmare, standing at 105 hours, Afua Asantewaa O. Aduonum envisions hosting a challenging event lasting an impressive 117 hours.

Throughout this marathon, her exclusive performances will showcase a diverse array of Ghanaian songs, spanning genres such as gospel, highlife, and hiplife.

Motivated by the success of Hilda Baci’s cook-a-thon, where she broke a longstanding cooking record, Afua Asantewaa O. Aduonum is determined to leave a lasting impact in the music realm. Simultaneously, she aims to contribute to the global recognition of Ghanaian talent on the international stage.

  • Real Madrid appears to want an Ancelotti contract extension, crushing Brazil links

Real Madrid appears to want an Ancelotti contract extension, crushing Brazil links

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti seems to be leaning towards extending his tenure at the Bernabeu rather than pursuing a move to coach the Brazil national team, as contract discussions are set to commence.

Initially anticipated to part ways with Los Blancos at the season’s end for the Brazil role, Ancelotti’s potential departure is now met with hesitation by Real Madrid, given their La Liga title contention and Champions League ambitions.

According to Marca, talks regarding Ancelotti’s future are expected to take place with Madrid president Florentino Perez in the upcoming days.

Despite earlier speculations linking Xabi Alonso, Raul, and Roberto De Zerbi as potential replacements, their services may no longer be sought.

Ancelotti has steered Real Madrid to second place in La Liga, closely trailing surprise leaders Girona by two points.

The team’s dynamic performances, spearheaded by players like Jude Bellingham, Rodrygo, and Vinicius Jr., have contributed to their current standing.

With an impressive track record of four Champions League titles, the most by any manager, Ancelotti aims to secure a fifth title, surpassing his closest active competitor, Pep Guardiola, who has three.

As Real Madrid faces Villarreal on Sunday evening in an effort to narrow the gap with Girona, Ancelotti’s potential continued tenure beyond this season seeks to solidify his position among the club’s greatest managers by adding more trophies to their extensive collection.

  • Premier League referees granted permission to officiate overseas despite substantial error by Darren England

Premier League referees granted permission to officiate overseas despite substantial error by Darren England

Despite a significant error by referee Darren England in the Tottenham-Liverpool clash, reports suggest that Premier League referees will still be permitted to officiate abroad.

The Telegraph indicates that match officials have received approval to continue freelancing in foreign countries, as an investigation found no direct connection between such activities and the contentious Liverpool offside goal incident.

This incident occurred during Liverpool’s 2-1 loss to Tottenham in September, where Luis Diaz’s goal was inaccurately disallowed.

Subsequent revelations disclosed that the video assistant referees involved had officiated a match in the United Arab Emirates just two days prior.

In response to the Var crisis, the Professional Game Match Officials Ltd. (PGMOL), in conjunction with the Football Association, has decided to reevaluate the policy allowing referees to oversee games outside of FIFA and UEFA appointments.

Howard Webb, the head of PGMOL, said: “In terms of that specific trip out to the Middle East, there was no link found from that to the error. Of course, we know it created noise.”

Webb further revealed that there will be no blanket ban on the freelancing of referees but each request will be taken up by the PGMOL board and judged on its merits.

The former referee added, “Each request will be evaluated on its own merits. But we’ll only consider an approach from an overseas national federation on the condition that it provides a development opportunity for the officials and that it has no impact at all on their availability to serve the leagues we exist to serve.

“Any such request would need to be approved by the PGMOL board. That’s our position. We’ve had no more requests since that one. Nobody’s been out to do that.”

However, apprehensions have been raised regarding potential conflicts of interest, particularly concerning England and Cook, who have professional ties in the UAE, a nation with strong affiliations with Premier League champions Manchester City.

Conversely, Michael Oliver, despite Newcastle United’s connections to Saudi Arabia, was permitted to officiate in the Saudi Pro League, prompting discussions about the delicate balance between referee assignments and ownership associations.

While concerns persist, it’s important to note that there is no indication of a conflict of interest arising in the specific case of the Spurs-Liverpool match.

It is a customary practise for officials to oversee foreign matches, often on Thursday nights in competitions like the UEFA Europa League, before resuming domestic duties on Saturdays. In such instances, referees who have travelled are typically assigned off-field roles, such as the Video Assistant Referee (VAR).

Xavi acknowledges fondness for Claudio Echeverri as Barcelona shows interest in River Plate Teenagersta

Barcelona manager Xavi has acknowledged the talent of River Plate’s rising star, Claudio Echeverri, amidst swirling transfer speculations linking him to the Spanish giants.

According to ESPN reports, Barcelona faces stiff competition from Chelsea, Manchester City, and Paris Saint-Germain for the young midfielder.

Despite this, Echeverri has openly expressed a desire to join Barcelona in the past. Xavi, addressing the player known as “El Diablito” (Little Devil), has now shared insights about the gifted prospect.

He said on Friday, “The boy [Echeverri] is a talent. Beyond the hat-trick he scored against Brazil [at the U17 World Cup], he’s a difference-maker, but it’s something for the scouting department [to deal with].”

Turning 18 in January, Echeverri has expressed his aspiration to join Barcelona at some point in the future.

“As well as River, I would like to play for Barca,” he said before the under-17 World Cup in November. “I am a big [Lionel] Messi fan and I watched him play there, so they are a team I have followed since I was very young.”

With the January transfer window set to open in a little over two weeks, there is speculation that Barcelona might consider making a move for Claudio Echeverri in the early months of 2024.

Sam George recounts how Sister Derby visited his children’s school to ‘groom’ them, saying “its okay” to be gay

Ningo Pramprah’s Member of Parliament (MP), Sam Nartey George, has clarified his advocacy for the approval of Ghana’s proposed Proper Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values bill, commonly known as the anti-LGBTQ+ bill, which is presently under parliamentary consideration.

He emphasised that his concern does not lie with individuals’ personal choices in their private lives.

Rather, he is troubled by efforts made by LGBTQ+ individuals and their supporters to integrate their lifestyles into the broader Ghanaian society, particularly with regard to influencing children.

“And for those saying, why is Sam George interested in this? I’m not interested in what happens in the privacy of your bedroom. It is not my business.

“It is because these same people have taken what is their private perversion and are bringing it into my children’s classroom,” he said in an interview on Starr FM on Thursday, December 14, 2023.

The lawmaker went on to narrate how Ghanaian musician Deborah Vanessa, whom he accused of being an LGBT advocate, allegedly went to the school of his child and told them that it was normal to be gay.

“North Lagoon Little Angles, they take somebody who calls themselves an influencer and a so-called social media celebrity to a school to sit with children aged 8 to 11 and tell them that it is okay for them as boys to love boys.

“Deborah Vanessa…. What she is doing is grooming. She told them this. The video was there, and they posted it on Instagram. Now the school, after the backlash, has taken the video down. Did the school seek the permission of parents for that kind of education to be given to their children?” he quizzed.

He added, “These are some of the things that are making me and my blood boil. These people think that our whole lives must be defined by what they do in their bedrooms.”.

OSP takes down counterfeit currency syndicate in Accra and Tema finds US$40 m in steel trunks

The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has successfully dismantled a significant foreign currency counterfeiting syndicate operating in both Accra and the commercial hub of Tema.

In a concise update shared on social media on December 15, the OSP reported the seizure of a substantial sum totaling US$40 million.

The operation, conducted under the category ‘Prevention of Corruption’ with the subheading ‘Disruption of Foreign Currency Manufacturing Network,’ marked a crucial step in the ongoing efforts to combat financial malfeasance.

“OSP has disrupted a syndicate involved in the production of a substantial amount of counterfeited foreign currency. Seizures were made in two warehouses located in Accra and Tema, where a substantial amount of counterfeited forty million dollars ($40,000,000.00) was discovered concealed in steel trunks.”

Other corruption prevention cases the OSP is involved in were also part of the post that had the caption: “Since August 2021, the Office of the Special Prosecutor (#OSP) has been actively engaged in a range of activities as part of its comprehensive fourfold mandate, which includes investigations, prosecution, asset recovery and management, and the prevention of corruption.”

This marks the inaugural public disclosure of the operation by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).

According to information reported by the state-run Daily Graphic, the operation was characterized by a high level of classification and meticulous coordination.

Regrettably, suspicions have arisen regarding a potential tip-off to the currency operators, hastening their escape as they were caught off guard and had limited time to hastily vacate the premises, leaving behind crucial evidence.

The incident underscores the challenges faced in maintaining operational secrecy and highlights the need for enhanced security measures in future endeavours.

On Thursday, December 14, 2023, Parliament approved a budget of GH¢195.7 million presented by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

Minister Mustapha Ussif explained that a significant portion of the funds would be allocated to support all sporting activities in 2024, with a special focus on the 2023 All-African Games hosted in Ghana.

Ussif highlighted ongoing projects, including the construction of the largest aqua centre in Africa, a 1,000-seat multi-purpose hall for indoor games, and five tennis courts. Additionally, he mentioned the revamping and modernization of the University of Ghana Stadium, which is in its final stages of completion and will be used for hosting games.

“With this massive work that we are doing, we can only ask this honourable House to support us by approving this budget so that we can finish our preparations for hosting the entire continent here,” he said as quoted by graphicsportsonline.com

The latest FIFA Women’s National Team Rankings place the Black Queens in the 4th position in Africa.

Ghana trails behind Nigeria, Morocco, and South Africa, with the latter having a commendable performance in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Despite being 4th in the African rankings, the Black Queens have slipped two places in the world rankings, now occupying the 61st spot.

This reflects a slight decline from the team’s starting positions earlier in the year, when they were 3rd in Africa and 59th globally.

Notably, under the guidance of head coach Nora Hauptle, the Black Queens have experienced a successful 2023, marking it as one of the best years for any Ghanaian national team.

Throughout the year, the team achieved the most wins, had the longest winning streak, and conceded the fewest goals.

Nora Hauptle’s squad scored an impressive 34 goals in 11 matches, maintaining a winning streak of 10 consecutive victories before experiencing their only defeat in the last game of the calendar year.

Using big words in my songs a treasure; dig for their meaning – M.anifest tells Ghanaians

Rapper M.anifest asserts that he won’t compromise the complexity of his lyrics, despite some individuals claiming difficulty understanding them.

He remains committed to playing with words and intellectually challenging listeners with his lyrical content, as it aligns with his artistic stance.

M.anifest draws a parallel between his rap style and mining, emphasising that, akin to mining for gold, delving into deeper lyrical complexities yields richer and more rewarding results compared to surface-level simplicity.

“So this thing about big English, I use; I’m in the business of words so I’m not going to limit what I say. I’m just going to come and say, Baby, wine your waist.

“I’m not going to limit it. My lyrics are understandable but you can also dig deeper for more. In life, the most precious things are found deeper in the earth.

“Mining is not done on the surface; when you want the precious minerals, you dig deep,” he stated on Hitz FM.

Publicity stunt a waste, ‘it doesn’t befit me at all’ —M.anifest

Ghanaian rapper M.anifest has firmly stated that he will never participate in publicity stunts, emphasising their lack of value and potential negative impact on his image.

In his view, engaging in publicity stunts serves no purpose and tends to create an unfavourable impression.

M.anifest stressed that such actions are not in line with the brand he has worked hard to build and do not reflect positively on his character.

During an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, M.anifest explained his stance on avoiding publicity stunts as an artist, highlighting instances where his tweets have garnered attention on various media platforms, showcasing his recognition.

“No, I have never engaged in a publicity stunt before because it does not befit me, not at all. It would be a travesty if I did that. So let me put it like this: a lot of my tweets have ended up on news channels, so that means sometimes the things I say are interesting.

“So why would I figure out a stunt? Sometimes being yourself is the best publicity that you need.

“What is publicity if it does not add value? Publicity stunts wreak desperation, eager for public attention and nothing of value,” he said.

M.anifest was speaking during a discussion about his upcoming Manifestivities experience show, slated for December 17, 2023.

  • Life hard already, go and enjoy yourself, not fish for the negatives – KiDi tells concert-goers

KiDi recently shared valuable advice for those attending concerts this December, urging a positive mindset and discouraging negative thoughts or criticism.

He emphasised the importance of unwinding and enjoying the festivities, especially given life’s challenges. As the festive season approaches, KiDi’s counsel extends to prioritising safety at these events.

He encourages concertgoers to “stay safe” while creating positive and memorable experiences.

In his message, KiDi encourages fans to approach these concerts with the primary goal of having a great time rather than actively seeking out negatives.

He acknowledges the difficulties of life and emphasises the importance of focusing on enjoyment during these events.

While events serve as a platform for artists to connect with their fans and commemorate a successful year of music, the overall experience is sometimes marred by delays in performances, venue-related issues, security concerns, and other unforeseen challenges.

Regrettably, these setbacks often overshadow the positive aspects of the concerts, with social media becoming a platform for fans to vent their frustrations and draw unfavourable comparisons.

Osebo, the Zaraman’s ‘ritual’ donation to widows and orphans is a “covenant” -Find out how

Renowned boutique owner and socialite Richard Brown, popularly known as Osebo the Zaraman, has revealed the motivation behind his consistent acts of kindness towards the less privileged.

Osebo shared the reason, recounting an incident at the airport where he faced potential denial of an international trip. Desperate for a resolution, he sought divine intervention and made a covenant with God.

Osebo pledged that if the challenges hindering his journey were alleviated, he would dedicate himself to supporting the less fortunate for the rest of his life.

“At the airport, people were being denied entry to the fight so I went to the bathhouse and kneeled before God. I told him that my parents were poor. My mother had to sell her clothes to fund my travel abroad, so if I bounced at the airport, I might commit suicide.

“So, if he [God] helps me to travel abroad and I return safely, I will make it a priority to donate to the widows and orphans in society till I die. It was a covenant I made with God so if I refuse to do it, God will take me back to my previous state,” he said during an interview with Abeiku Santana on Okay FM .

Osebo, however, gave a glimpse into his humble beginnings.

“I used to push trucks on the streets before my life was transformed,” he added.

Hair vendor chases ex-BB Naija winner over refusal to return a wig she ‘rented’

DBeauty Mogul, a hair vendor, has publicly accused Josephine Otabor, also known as Phyna, a former Big Brother Naija winner, of failing to return a rented wig after the agreed-upon rental period.

According to the vendor’s message to Instablog, shared on various social media platforms on Thursday, Phyna allegedly rented the wig for a movie premiere held on Sunday, December 10, 2023.

The agreement was for the wig to be returned the following day, but as of the vendor’s claim, it has not been returned.

The message read: “Phyna rented my wig for the movie premiere of A Tribe Called Judah on Sunday, December 10, 2023. She ought to return the wig on Monday, December 11, 2023.

“Till this minute, she hasn’t returned my wigs. Can you please help in any way?”

Asked whether there was proof to back the claim, the vendor responded affirmatively.

Meanwhile, Phyna has debunked the allegations, describing it as the handiwork of “clout chasers and blackmailers.”

On her Instagram story, Phyna wrote, “Every day, different stories. Now it’s clout chasers and black mailers… y’all need to do better…Phyna the air everybody in Nigeria dy breath… make Una rest small for this whole nonsense. Even me, I don tire.”

Ghanaian participant in the ‘singathon’ record responds to critics

Ghanaian participant aiming for the ‘Guinness World Record for the longest singing marathon’ by an individual, Afua Asantewaa Aduonum, has dismissed allegations of leveraging her current media appearances for fame.

In an interview with Joy FM, as reported by GhanaWeb, Afua clarified that her goal is solely to bring pride to her country and nothing more.

She emphasised that if fame were her objective, she could have pursued various other avenues.

Afua urged Ghanaians to offer support instead of making baseless accusations.

“There are so many ways to become popular in Ghana. I am into TV production. I have produced and hosted shows on TV. I can twerk and do a lot of things, but I have decided not to sleep for four days and you think I want fame? No. I can’t go through all this stress because of that; I am not focusing on fame at all.

“My father was even crying yesterday because he doesn’t know how I am going to sail through but he has to be there throughout the four days. Why would I put everybody through this stress because of my gain? This is for Ghana’s music industry. I can choose to write a letter that I don’t think I can do if Ghanaians think it is for fame,” she stated.

Afua Asantewaa’s attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the ‘longest singing marathon by an individual’ is set to take place in Accra from December 24 to 27.

Her goal is to achieve a new record between 117 and 120 hours.

The current record, held by Sunil Waghmare from India, stands at 105 hours and was accomplished in 2012.

Presidential staffer accuses Kwame Sefa Kaye of unfairness on his morning show

Presidential Staffer Dennis Miracle accused Peace FM’s morning show (Kokrokoo) host Kwame Sefa Kaye, popularly referred to as the ‘Chairman General’ , of being unfair to him during a discussion on the controversial lithium deal signed by the government.

This comes after the two were enveloped in a heated argument over the credibility of the said deal.

Miracle, who appeared unsatisfied with the airtime given him to give his submissions as against that of People’s National Convention (PNC) former secretary Atik Mohammed , went on to accuse Sefa Kaye of unfairness.

“Chairman, you’ve been unfair to me; you have to redraw.
    “I didn’t know today’s show was Atik’s show.”.

He said this while pleading for at least 5 minutes, which Sefa Kaye finally granted him about 2 minutes to wrap up his submissions.

    About the Lithium deal

Ghana’s lithium deal involves the government and Barari DV Ghana Ltd., a subsidiary of Atlantic Lithium Ltd., for lithium exploitation in the Ewoyaa area of the Central Region.

The controversial 15-year deal, beginning in 2024, faces opposition from the Minority in Parliament. They argue that it lacks prior parliamentary approval, offers unfavourable terms, and lacks transparency.

Concerns also include the credibility of Barari DV Ghana Ltd. and potential environmental and social impacts.

The government defends the deal, citing benefits such as a 10% royalty, 19% state participation, and plans for a refinery. The deal is set to be submitted to parliament in the first quarter of 2024 for ratification.

“Sir, please, he is lying” – Medikal reacts to M.anifest’s ‘We don’t know each other’ reamarks

Ghanaian rapper Medikal has responded to M.anifest’s assertion that they are not acquainted.

Recently, in a live studio discussion with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM on December 14, M.anifest, when asked about his relationship with Medikal said, “No, we don’t know each other. There are many people I don’t know. I know of them but I don’t know them.”.

However, in a sharp rebuttal to M.anifest’s assertion, Medikal, in a series of reactions on his X page, accused the former of being dishonest, stressing that they are very familiar with each other.

“Funny how best friends quickly transform into enemies; today you don’t know me. Hmm. Sir, please, he is lying; we know each other very well; we are musicians,” he insisted.

Medikal, however, demonstrated his respect for M.anifest and acknowledged his seniority in the music industry.

“I might not be the biggest M.anifest fan but he is a great rapper,” he stated.

Netizens are highlighting what they perceive as Medikal’s ‘hypocrisy,’ pointing to past subtle jabs he made at M.anifest.

In a 2019 tweet, the ‘Took Risky’ hitmaker asserted that M.anifest and Strongman lacked hit songs.
