Highlighting his rationale, he asserted that the Anti-LGBTQ+ bill, if enacted, would constitute a significant violation of human rights as individuals have the right to make choices in line with their beliefs.
While clarifying that he does not endorse gay and lesbian relationships, M.anifest argued against criminalising such acts, emphasising that it would encroach upon the rights of those involved.
In an interview with Pulse TV, M.anifest underscored the importance of not relying on religious beliefs to criminalise actions that impinge on human rights.
“I am not in support of the anti-LGBTQ+ bill. I’m not in support of anything that is a human rights violation. I think a lot of things in life are very basic. My viewpoints in life in terms of human rights are very basic.
“You can have disagreements, whether they’re religious or whatever, but when it comes to human rights, it’s quite clear. It’s not here to infringe on anybody’s rights, whether you disagree or not. So then, that’s quite simple. And that cuts across; for me, that’s a basic thing in life,” he said.

“But I do not want to wish you dead. No. Even when my enemy dies, I don’t jubilate; I pray for him. It was a slip of the tongue. As useless as you are, you and your vice president do not die. Don’t visit an early grave,” he said during the UrbanBlend show on 3FM.

The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has successfully dismantled a significant foreign currency counterfeiting syndicate operating in both Accra and the commercial hub of Tema.
In a concise update shared on social media on December 15, the OSP reported the seizure of a substantial sum totaling US$40 million.
The operation, conducted under the category ‘Prevention of Corruption’ with the subheading ‘Disruption of Foreign Currency Manufacturing Network,’ marked a crucial step in the ongoing efforts to combat financial malfeasance.
“OSP has disrupted a syndicate involved in the production of a substantial amount of counterfeited foreign currency. Seizures were made in two warehouses located in Accra and Tema, where a substantial amount of counterfeited forty million dollars ($40,000,000.00) was discovered concealed in steel trunks.”

DBeauty Mogul, a hair vendor, has publicly accused Josephine Otabor, also known as Phyna, aformer Big Brother Naija winner, of failing to return a rented wig after the agreed-upon rental period.
According to the vendor’s message to Instablog, shared on various social media platforms on Thursday, Phyna allegedly rented the wig for a movie premiere held on Sunday, December 10, 2023.
The agreement was for the wig to be returned the following day, but as of the vendor’s claim, it has not been returned.
The message read: “Phyna rented my wig for the movie premiere of A Tribe Called Judah on Sunday, December 10, 2023. She ought to return the wig on Monday, December 11, 2023.
“Till this minute, she hasn’t returned my wigs. Can you please help in any way?”
Asked whether there was proof to back the claim, the vendor responded affirmatively.
Meanwhile, Phyna has debunked the allegations, describing it as the handiwork of “clout chasers and blackmailers.”

Ghanaian participant aiming for the‘Guinness World Record for the longest singing marathon’ by an individual, Afua Asantewaa Aduonum, has dismissed allegations of leveraging her current media appearances for fame.
In an interview with Joy FM, as reported by GhanaWeb, Afua clarified that her goal is solely to bring pride to her country and nothing more.
She emphasised that if fame were her objective, she could have pursued various other avenues.
Afua urged Ghanaians to offer support instead of making baseless accusations.
“There are so many ways to become popular in Ghana. I am into TV production. I have produced and hosted shows on TV. I can twerk and do a lot of things, but I have decided not to sleep for four days and you think I want fame? No. I can’t go through all this stress because of that; I am not focusing on fame at all.
“My father was even crying yesterday because he doesn’t know how I am going to sail through but he has to be there throughout the four days. Why would I put everybody through this stress because of my gain? This is for Ghana’s music industry. I can choose to write a letter that I don’t think I can do if Ghanaians think it is for fame,” she stated.
Afua Asantewaa’s attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the ‘longest singing marathon by an individual’ is set to take place in Accra from December 24 to 27.
Her goal is to achieve a new record between 117 and 120 hours.
Presidential Staffer Dennis Miracle accused Peace FM’s morning show (Kokrokoo) host Kwame Sefa Kaye, popularly referred to as the ‘Chairman General’ , of being unfair to him during a discussion on the controversial lithium deal signed by the government.
This comes after the two were enveloped in a heated argument over the credibility of the said deal.
Miracle, who appeared unsatisfied with the airtime given him to give his submissions as against that of People’s National Convention (PNC) former secretary Atik Mohammed , went on to accuse Sefa Kaye of unfairness.
“Chairman, you’ve been unfair to me; you have to redraw. “I didn’t know today’s show was Atik’s show.”.
He said this while pleading for at least 5 minutes, which Sefa Kaye finally granted him about 2 minutes to wrap up his submissions.
About the Lithium deal
Ghana’s lithium deal involves the government and Barari DV Ghana Ltd., a subsidiary of Atlantic Lithium Ltd., for lithium exploitation in the Ewoyaa area of the Central Region.
The controversial 15-year deal, beginning in 2024, faces opposition from the Minority in Parliament. They argue that it lacks prior parliamentary approval, offers unfavourable terms, and lacks transparency.
Concerns also include the credibility of Barari DV Ghana Ltd. and potential environmental and social impacts.
The government defends the deal, citing benefits such as a 10% royalty, 19% state participation, and plans for a refinery. The deal is set to be submitted to parliament in the first quarter of 2024 for ratification.
Recently, in a live studio discussion with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM on December 14, M.anifest, when asked about his relationship with Medikal said, “No, we don’t know each other. There are many people I don’t know. I know of them but I don’t know them.”.
However, in a sharp rebuttal to M.anifest’s assertion, Medikal, in a series of reactions on his X page, accused the former of being dishonest, stressing that they are very familiar with each other.
“Funny how best friends quickly transform into enemies; today you don’t know me. Hmm. Sir, please, he is lying; we know each other very well; we are musicians,” he insisted.
Medikal, however, demonstrated his respect for M.anifest and acknowledged his seniority in the music industry.
“I might not be the biggest M.anifest fan but he is a great rapper,” he stated.

Reports suggest thatDeloris Frimpong Manso (Delay) and Michy have concluded their professional affiliations with Wontumi FM and Movement TV, respectively.
Delay, who initiated her ‘Drivetime’ show on Wontumi FM in May 2022, has reportedly officially ended her association with the media house after a year of collaboration.
Cindy Cash, a well-known TV presenter at Movement TV and a close associate of Chairman Wontumi, has allegedly been identified as Delay’s ‘successor.’
Michy is also reported to have made her final appearance on her show on Movement TV around June of this year.
