As dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, leaves the court earlier today after being remanded into police custody, he is heard saying “ I wanna sleep in jail for†among other Shatta movement slogans.
Shatta Wale has been charged with publication of false news after he allegedly faked a gun attack on himself Monday evening.
He has been remanded into Police custody to reappear on Tuesday, October 26.
Investigative journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni has reacted to the recent events surrounding controversial dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale.
In a 25-line poem posted on Facebook yesterday, October 20, Manasseh reserved mention for two public figures whiles shying away from expressly mentioning Shatta Wale‘s name.
His first line mentions Shatta’s rival, Sarkodie, referring to him as King but it is Inspector-General of Police, George Akuffo Dampare, who gets a double mention in the 21st and 22nd lines.
The 21st line read: “But under Dampare, every foolishness has its limit”
“Dampare is large and in charge!” he wrote in the 22nd line to buttress his point about the need to do what is right even with the trappings and lure of lawlessness.
The Ghana Police Service on Wednesday stated at a press conference that Shatta Wale will be arraigned before a court today over allegations of causing false news to be published relative to a gun attack on him last Monday.
Police arrested him on Tuesday after he turned himself in, having been declared wanted earlier. He spent his second night in police custody.
The IGP was celebrated on social media following Shatta Wale‘s arrest with most social media users calling for the musician to be dealt with according to the law.
Many cited the recent treatment meted out to Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah and that of the fake Takoradi pregnancy and kidnap case to buttress the need for the musician to not be treated any differently.

King Sark said No Pressure That advice should have been a treasure For life is not a race Everyone has their pace But some would resort to anything for fame Even if it would end in shame They use shortcuts to rise in the game But it takes more than noise to keep one’s name In their current state, they ought to be wistful But in their fleeting glory of yore, they are wishful In comparison with others’ success, they’re flattered But the consistency of others keeps them flustered So they’d do anything to rise Even if it’s as inferior as “tugyimi” rice Because trending is where their pride lies But now they’re cold like ice In their antics, however, they should not lose sight That things are no longer loose, but tight We aren’t saints, but we must strive to do right It’s true that lawlessness is in our remit It’s true that the powerful can even build without a permit But under Dampare, every foolishness has its limit Dampare is large and in charge! And we’ve got to know What Time It Is! Now, the beginning of wisdom is a declaration to thyself: “I Know My Level.”
On Monday evening, October 18, a viral post on social media had it that Shatta Wale had been shot at East Legon and was receiving emergency medical treatment at an unnamed hospital.
Police issued a statement saying no shooting incident had been recorded nor have the artiste been found at any hospital per their checks.
The following morning, Shatta Wale released a statement defending why he staged an attack citing police indifference after a prophecy was released in September about a gun attack on him.
The Ghana Police Service on Tuesday evening announced the arrest of Shatta Wale after he turned himself in.
According to a statement, the musician who had been declared wanted was subsequently arrested to assist with investigations into an October 18 viral post that he had been the victim of a gun attack.
The statement read in part: “The Police have arrested Charles Nii Armah Mensah popularly known as Shatta Wale. After we publicly declared him and one other person wanted, the suspect, Shatta Wale, turned himself in today Tuesday 19th October, 2021, at 8.59pm.
“He has been arrested to assist the Police in investigations for his alleged involvement in the creation and circulation of information intended to cause fear and panic.â€
Two photos accompanying the police information showed the musician in one frame bespectacled, in handcuffs and spotting a broad smile. The other photo shows a more sullen Shatta Wale.
The police also reiterated its warning to members of the public: “to desist from publishing false information, capable of disturbing the peace of the country or risk being arrested and prosecuted.â€
There is no doubt that Funny Face and Shatta Wale are good at their crafts. To constantly entertain their audiences over a decade is no mean achievement because some entertainers clutch at straws just to keep their careers afloat or drown due to the enormous pressure that comes with being an entertainer.
However, these two entertainers almost always court trouble and public disaffection for themselves. I am tempted to believe that, they take delight in having all eyeballs on them by embroiling themselves in one controversy or the other.
Just last week, Funny Face went on rampage in a video spewing invectives at some respectable persons in society in the persons of Bola Ray, Fadda Dickson and his own friend, Sheyi Adebayor without provocation. He further went ahead to threaten to kill his children’s mother and also commit suicide.
I thought the psychiatric evaluation he received somewhere this year would have done the trick, but it seems he is suffering a relapse or he is doing all what he is doing on purpose. I am happy the police swiftly arrested him.
Per his utterances, he is a threat to his children’s mother and to himself. He should not be allowed anywhere near them and if possible, sent back to the psychiatric hospital once more for thorough scrutiny. Also, the law should not treat him with kid gloves.
This is not the time to abandon him. He needs all the attention and love in order to bounce back. He also needs to put his act together by exhibiting good behaviour that befits his status because most of his following are kids who take inspiration from him.
Furthermore, Funny Face needs to render an unqualified apology to his children and their mother for his behaviour. It was uncalled for and must be condemned in no uncertain terms.
As for Shatta Wale, the least said about him, the better. Publicity stunt is allowed in showbiz, but he exceeded his limits by creating fear and panic with his tactless and cheap stunt. Why would one fake that he has been shot and battling for his life, only to find out that he was hale and hearty?
Shatta Wale has been given too much room to misbehave and this time around, he decided to take it a notch higher by sending the police on a wild goose chase.
Once again, thumbs up to the police for arresting such a public nuisance. He should face the full rigors of the law to serve as a deterrent to others harbouring same intentions.
His infantile vituperations anytime he disagrees with someone should be curtailed and never countenanced. It is not healthy for consumption. There are kids in the society who cherish and wish to be like him, so the earlier he puts a stop to such bad attitude, the better.
We perfectly understand that as entertainers, they also have some difficult hurdles in their lives that they deal with, but that does not give them the boldness to misconduct themselves and put people’s lives at risk. They need to be a shinning example for others to emulate.
I hope Funny Face and Shatta Wale have gleaned some lessons from what has happened and going forward, they would not repeat it. It is my prayer that, they will come out better and not broken.

The Ghana Police Service has begun a search for popular Ghanaian dancehall musician, Shatta Wale, following an alleged gunshot-attack.
A statement released by the Ghana Police Service Monday said they had taken steps to ascertain the whereabouts of the multiple award-winning Reggae and Dancehall musician who was currently missing.
“The attention of the Police has been drawn to the widely circulated news on the alleged gunshot-attack on one Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale,” it said in a Facebook post.
“On hearing the news, the Police have launched an investigation into the matter, including making contacts with some of his close friends and family members and all of them claim not to have knowledge of his whereabouts or the alleged incident.
“A team has visited the house of Shatta Wale and he cannot be found there.
“Over the last few hours, the Police have searched and continue to look for Shatta Wale at hospitals in Accra.
“Whilst we continue our investigations, the Police is appealing to the public to provide any information concerning the whereabouts of Shatta Wale to the numbers 18555, 191 and 0302773906.”
Born 17th October, 1984, Shatta is a producer, a reggae-dancehall musician and actor.
He is best known for his biggest breakthrough hit song Dancehall King, which led to winning the Artiste of the Year at the 2014 edition of the Ghana Music Awards.
Dancehall musician Shatta Wale has allegedly led a gang to assault a supervisor at a road construction site at Adjiringanor in Accra for not extending the road to his office.
According to the engineer, Kennedy Acquah, Shatta Wale had on Saturday sent a delegation to workers on the site to ask them to extend the road to his office or have him to contend with.
“He sent someone to us on Saturday to tell us to extend the road to his office but we told them the length of the road and areas covered are contractual matters and not decided by the site workers. We asked them to pick the matter up with Urban roads who are supervising the project,†he told StarrFM.com.gh Monday.
He explained further “We were working today when he (Shatta Wale) just drove past the roadblock sign and came through where we were working despite the fact that we had just laid the asphalt, and asked who was in charge, I went close to tell him I was in charge and before I could explain anything, one of the guys with him just slapped me and he was looking on. There were a number of guys on motorbikes with him. The incident was captured on video by people passing, the police came there but did nothing about the assault on me, they rather exchanged pleasantries with him and told me to be carefulâ€.
He has visited the hospital and heading to the Police station to file a formal complaint.
Attempts by Starrfm.com.gh to reach the musician for his side of the story have been unsuccessful. Some members of his team called by StarrFM.com.gh did not respond to their calls after numerous attempts.

Ghanaian Dancehall King, Shatta Wale, has warded into the on-going debate about Stonebwoy’s ‘Putuu’ hit song.
According to Shatta Wale, it appears the trend now is for artistes to release songs that do not have meaning.
Shatta Wale‘s comments come after several industry players had criticized Stonebwoy for releasing his ‘Putuu’ hit song.
In a Snapchat post sighted by YEN.com.gh, Shatta Wale wondered if singing ‘nonsense’ is the new normal in the music industry.
He also sought his fans opinion on whether he should also release a ‘nonsense’ song.
Posting on his Snapchat, Shatta Wale wrote:
“Ei ryt now nonsense singing be the eish now. Make I drop mine anaa?”
YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy, had justified what went into the production of his ‘Putuu’ hit song.
Stonebwoy in a Snap sighted by YEN.com.gh stated that he cannot stop praising God because he has helped him attain greatness.
He added that said looking at his independent Burniton Music Group brand and how he built it alone from scratch, he owns Jah all the praise. The ‘Nominate’ hitmaker he also when stops praying.
Singer Wendy Shay has denied having an amorous relationship with dancehall artiste Shatta Wale.
Wendy Shay has since her music career been battling questions on whether or not she has sexual relation with her Manager, Bullet.
She recently raged against Accra FM’s Presenter, Nana Romeo for insisting he had evidence of her alleged sex relationship with Bullet and dared to make the evidence public if she challenges him.
Wendy Shay has constantly refuted the sex allegations against her but it appears the allegations are far from over.
The singer faced similar interrogation with host Abeiku Santana on Okay FM’s Drive Time when she appeared in the studios to promote her new song ‘Emergency’.
She was questioned on her relationship with Shatta Wale because the two were recently spotted at an event which saw the latter plant a kiss on her cheek.
There are other occasions too where Shatta Wale has been speaking fondly of her.
In her response, she stated categorically that she and Shatta Wale only have a unique chemistry but their relationship has nothing to do with them exercising their waists on the bed.
“We share some chemistry. I haven’t found such chemistry with any male artiste yet…Shatta Wale knows he’s my godfather,” she emphasized.
Former SM member, William Addy who is widely known as Natty Lee has named Shatta Wale has his reason for abandoning schooling.
According to him, he was in the University when he met the dancehall king and due to the fact that Shatta was producing hit everyday he thought it wise to follow him therefor abandoning his education.
He made this known while speaking with Sammy Flex of Zylofon FM on Showbiz Agenda where he said;
“I quit school to join Shatta Wale because of the hits he had started producing. Since I started hustling with him from day one, I knew we could make it happen again.â€
Controversial Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, well known as Shatta Wale has introduced his Godfada who bought him his first Gucci wear which costs $7,500 and many other expensive gifts.
It seems Shatta Wale learnt how to live a flashy life from his Godfada.
Shatta Wale took to his Instagram to celebrate his Godfada, Luvman on his birthday as he pens down a heartwarming message for him.
Adding to the post, Shatta Wale recollected memories of how his Godfada bought him his first Gucci wear which costs about $7,500.
“Happy Birthday to my Gadfada who started buying me the most expensive things in my life .i will never forget my first $7500 dollar Gucci .May God give long life and may your cup of success be filled till it overflows.. #Luvmanâ€
The relationship and camaraderie that has gained much grounds between rapper Medikal and Shatta Wale is beginning to go a notch higher as the latter showers praise on the former.
Both musicians are seen to be getting along with a lot of vibes which is actually nice on social media especially when many perceive Shatta Wale to be cold towards people who get along with him.
According to Shatta Wale, what Medikal is yet to unleash onto the music scene in Ghana will be too great for any artiste to stand him; simply unmatchable.
What @AmgMedikal is about to do to this industry I wonder if the hospitals will get space for these artiste .. #GreatStar #AMG shine on my g !!!!
Many critics of Shatta Wale have criticized his inability to keep friends and loved ones for long. They cite several examples to back their belief that the SM President has some tendencies that dispel people away from him.
How his relationship with Shatta Michy came crushing down, how Pope Skinny and Ara B left in pain and how the militants were booted out of their base give many the conviction that Medikal will suffer the same fate.
However, as we have it now, we can clearly see Medikal and Shatta Wale and describe them as the best of friends as far as the Ghana music industry is concerned.
Whatever could have brought them this close and compact should definitely be beyond simply collaborating on a song or one gracing the marriage ceremony of the other…it is absolutely something big.
Shatta Wale has once again been blessed with another bestie, after loosing his controversial and crazy Efia Odo.
The dancehall king and the video vixen were very cool and close, and acted like lovers but came out to clear the air that they are besties.
All of a sudden the two clashed on twitter and dirtied themselves, which lead to their break up as besties, breaking that beautiful union and friendship between them.
However, since then Shatta Wale has tried to get himself a new bestie and even mentioned BBNaija star Tacha as being his bestie but much was not heard from them again.
Shatta Wale in a recent post has announced his bestie, which happens to be the beautiful actress and TV presenter Benedicta Gaffah .
According to Shatta Wale in the post, God has given him another bestie, Benedicta Gaffah and sounded quite excited about this new development.
Keche, ‘Sokode’ hitmakers and Ghanaian musical hip-life group, which is made up of Joshua and Andrew have voiced out on the financial stability between Shatta Wale and AMG Medikal, indicating that, Medikal is richer than Shatta Wale.
This duo made this comment, when they were in an interview on Kingdom+FM with Fiifi Pratt, following recent claims by Shatta Wale on his social media handles that, he is the richest artiste in Ghana, backing his claims with images of his wealth, so he can be considered the richest.
According to Joshua, one half of the group, he indicated that Shatta Wale is rich but when considered in a comparison between the two, Medikal is the richest, not stating how Medikal leads richness when compared to Shatta Wale.
AMG Medikal, the husband of Fella Makafui, has never come to brag on social media with regards to his riches and properties but its mostly seen in his videos that he uploads and also uses them in his video clips.
The “90Days Suit Life†challenge is on and the African dancehall king, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale has been spotted in an expensive basic five buttons Vest.
Shatta Wale has kept his word of wearing a suit for 90 days continuous. It appears he is still on course as he shows off in an all-black basic five buttons vest, a Loui Vuitton belt and his signature coloured short locks.
We must admit he looked dapper as he shared the photo on his instagram page, no wonder the followers were in full praise for him.
There have been rumors that Wendy Shay and Shatta Wale are or have been romantically involved before but we have since not found anything substantial on it.
Except for their social media activities and the many things celebs do to fuel such rumors all in the name of trending.
We have chanced on a new video that has since been going around.
In the video, the RuffTown Records Signee is seen sitting pretty and acting all coy as Wale plans a kiss on her cheeks.
People could not help but notice how happy Bullet looked on the side.
Although he looked happy, some social media fans think he is hiding his jealousy behind that happy face.
He always finds way of entertaining his fans and in a new video he has decided to take on the job of a television presenter.
Calling himself Shaibu Wale the newest presenter in town stated that he was going to educate people on how to think since many did not know how to think for themselves.
Shatta Wale has called it quits his support for Hearts of Oak due to the announcement of Kofi Abban as one of the Board Members of Asante Kotoko.
The news just spiced up the rivalry between the two most famous and successful clubs in Ghana.
Charles Nii Armah as the birth name, the dancehall King who in the past was a known Hearts of Oak fan took to Twitter to end his fan relation with Hearts, adding that Kofi Abban, the new Kotoko board member is a godfather.
Several artists have declared love for Hearts of Oak, yet to find out will losing Shatta Wale will be that big deal.
Rapper M.anifest, Cina Soul, Kwesi Arthur among several artists have shown love for the Accra-based side.
Asante Kotoko announced a 12 member board to help steer the affairs of the Ghana Premier League most successful side.
Shatta Wale in the past has done campaigns for Legon Cities, also another Ghana Premier League side which took over former champions, Wa All Stars after claiming the ownership.
“Since my Godfada @kofiAbban19 is now a Board member of Asante kotoko. I am now supporting kotoko with full vim including my fans ..Wukum Apim apim b3ba !!! âš½ï¸ â€

Dancehall artiste, Epixode has made this revelation that Shatta Wale is not a dancehall artiste, but just a musician.
According to him, Samini is a versatile musician, himself and Stonebwoy are Reggae, dancehall and Afro-dancehall artists but the Shatta Wale is just a musician.
Well, Epixode, has finally reacted to some Shatta Movement fans for threatening him after he tagged Shatta Wale as a musician and not a dancehall artist.
According to Epixode, Shatta Wale has more hit tracks which are not dancehall songs that is why he classified Shatta Wale as a musician and not a dancehall artist.
Sarkodie, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale are undoubtedly the most popular artistes in Ghana now. Well, as famous as they are, they started somewhere.
Ten years ago, these guys were not as popular as they are today. This brings up the big question, ‘where, how and when did they start?’.
So without further ado, i present you some throwback pictures of Sarkodie, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale and some brief history about them. Let get started!
1. Sarkodie
Michael Owusu Addo, born in July 10, 1985, known professionally as Sarkodie, is a rapper and entrepreneur from Tema.
When we mention Sarkodie, the first thing that probably comes in your mind is Kasahare. Kasahare Level on Adom FM is where Sarkodie started his pursuit.
As usual, he always comes in and gives his freestyle and with that, he met his manager. Sarkodie released his first hit track, baby, featuring Mugeez of the R2bees.

In a video sighted online, he was seen having a lively interview with Nana Ama Mcbrown of UTV on the United Showbiz show. The artiste made the claim that the relationship between them now transcends that of a normal artiste to a manager as they have now become blood brothers.
The artiste and his longtime manger have enjoyed a rocky past between them as it got to a point where the manager had to be sacked after a disagreement between the two.
He said †Now he is no more my manager like he is my big brother. Because we did DNA and checked so my father knowsâ€.
Ghanaian musician Joint 77 has finally gotten his Toyota Camry car back after Shatta Wale sent police officers to seize the car.
The sacked SM Militant had a heated argument with his former boss, Shatta Wale on Hitz Fm, and Dancehall Naa who got furious said to him, he will send people to take back the car he bought for him.
Just after Joint 77 finished his interview and was about to leave, the number of police officers stopped him and seize his Toyota Camry car at Multimedia premises.
Interestingly, Andy Dosty came out to debunk reports that Shatta Wale sent police officers to seize the car he bought for Joint 77.
Well, in a video sighted by thedistin.com, we can confirm that Shatta Wale certainly seized the car he bought for Joint 77 after he claimed that Joint 77 has hustled with him for 10 years.
In the video shared on the Instagram page of “Ronnie Is Everywhereâ€, Joint 77 is sighted with group of people and the police receiving his Toyota Camry car back.
Shatta Wale and one of his former militant, Joint 77, took their disagreements that caused their separation to Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM.
Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr., is a Ghanaian singer, songwriter, actor and CEO of Shatta Movements Empire.
Shatta Wale revealed that he gave out ladies to one of the militants, joint 77 and paid for it.
Disclosing the top secret of Shatta Wale, Joint 77 also stated that Shatta Wale never appreciated his musical efforts.
He explained the ungratefulness of Shatta Wale as his former boss never appreciated his efforts and that he claims is one of the reasons why he is where he is today.
Not long after the interview, Shatta Wale sent military men to retrieve the car he had bought for Joint 77 from him as a birth day gift.
Do you think it was right for Shatta Wale to have collected the car he bought as a gift for Joint 77?.
Host on Hitz FM Andy Dosty has debunked reports that Shatta Wale sent police to their studios to seize the car he bought for his Militant, Joint 77.
We reported earlier that Dancehall musician Shatta Wale has sent the police to seize the car he bought for Joint 77(one of his militants).
This came after a heated argument between Shatta Wale and his former Militant, Joint 77  on Hitz Fm where Wale threatened to take away the car he bought for Joint 77.
However, the host of the Daybreak Hitz has debunked the viral reports and indicated that there was no truth in them.
According to Andy Dosty, they (management of HItz Fm) called in the police because, how tempers flared up during the interview, they feared something could happen, so they called in the police to intervene.
He added that if there is anything to report on the issues then it has to some good news because he contacted Shatta Wale after the interview which saw tempers flare and he has agreed to forgive Joint 77 after all.
In an interview on Hitz FM and monitored by YEN.com.gh, Joint 77 said he will forever be grateful to Shatta Wale for holding him down which influenced his decision to do a song to honour him.
Shatta Wale has seized a Toyota Camry car he bought for Joint 77, one of his sacked SM Militants, after their banter on Hitz FM on Wednesday, June 10, 2020.
Shatta Wale earlier on Wednesday morning clashed with Joint 77 on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz with Andy Dosty.
Joint 77 had gone to the studio for an interview while Shatta Wale was called in on the phone to talk about the circumstances leading the sacking of the Militants.
After a lot of back and forths and heated exchanges, it emerged that Shatta Wale had gifted Joint 77 a Toyota Camry before his sack.
The Dancehall stalwart then went ahead to state that he was going to take his car back because Joint 77 had disrespected him.
True to his words, Shatta Wale has gone ahead to order the seizure of Joint 77’s car.
In a video sighted by YEN.com.gh, some uniformed policemen in the company of people known to be close Shatta Wale stormed the offices of Multimedia Group where the interview was being held to take back the car.
The clash on radio and the subsequent seizure of the car comes just a few weeks after Shatta Wale announced that he had sacked SM Militants namely Addi Self, Joint 77, and Natty Lee.
In a Facebook live video, Shatta Wale revealed that the trio as mentioned above had been plotting evil about and it had taken one other SM Militant, Captan, to tip him off.
Angered by the information, Shatta Wale came on social media to blast them and expose their ingratitude.
The troubles in the Shatta Movement camp following the sack of all the militants got a little milkier this morning when Shatta Wale and one of his former boys, Joint 77 met.
Their fiery clash came about after Joint 77 made a remark that Shatta Wales claims that he has never written a song for himself was a lie.
Shatta Wale, who from all indications was infuriated with the suggestion that he lied did not mince his words at all when he was phoned in to respond.
Sounding very angry, he asked Joint 77 the songs he has written and how he contributed to their popular “Taking Over†song when it comes to the lyrics.
Shatta Wale went further to reveal Joint 77 did not even have an interest in music, a claim the young musician described as a fallacy.
Their exchange went on and on till it finally ended up bringing up all their dirty secrets, including the woman they have been chopping and paying.

“The Gift of God, this is an album where I am going to have a couple of collaborations. People know me to create albums with me alone. I play my beats; I mix and master everything myself. So, I am going to do a few collaborations with me and Beyonce and with me and Vybz Kartel.”
Speaking further about his expectations on the “Gift of God” album, Shatta Wale told BBC that he is sure the album when released will sell very well on the international market.
Shatta Wale who has over the years become one of Ghana’s biggest music exports has about four albums to his credit. They include “After the Storm” released in 2016, “Reign” released in 2018 and “Wonder Boy” which he released in 2019.

Entertainment Pundit, Arnold Asamoah Baidoo says Captan, a member of the Shatta Movement (SM) militants, is a ”big sellout” and has cautioned Shatta Wale to watch his back.
Arnold Baidoo slammed the militant who appears to be the last soldier standing in the camp of Shatta Wale following a revealing report by the dancehall artiste regarding why he sacked the militants but retained Captan.
Shatta Wale recently took to his online platforms to announce that the militants are no more a part of the family because of their insubordinate attitude towards him.
He further revealed in an exclusive interview on Peace FM’s Saturday edition of ”Entertainment Review” that the militants were plotting evil against him, but for Captan who gave him a tipoff, they might have succeeded in whatever bad thing they wanted to do.
According to him, Addi Self, Joint 77 and Captan including Natty Lee had all met behind him and made a decision to badmouth him in order to spoil his reputation and music career.
Shatta Wale further detailed that although Captan was part of the militants’ plot, he (Captan) suddenly had a repentant heart and divulged their plot to him (Shatta Wale) who later set up a meeting with all the militants and sacked them but allowed Captan alone to remain with him.
In the eyes of Shatta Wale, Captan’s confession meant he is a loyal militant but Arnold Asamoah Baidoo thinks otherwise.
Arnold Baidoo, who was a panel member on the programme, stated that for Captan to have joined the militants’ secret meeting and not said it to their faces that he won’t be part of the revolt but to nicodemously snitch on his fellow militants means he won’t hesitate to stab Shatta Wale in the back.
He therefore admonished Shatta Wale to be very careful of Captan insisting ”he’s a big snitch. He’s a big sellout. He no force; he no try…Shatta should watch Captan very well. He is not a true soldier”.
All too soon, Ghanaian Dancehall Artist, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., known professionally as Shatta Wale has sacked his Militants over what he calls betrayal.
In a video, Shatta Wale expressed worry over how his militants, Captan, Addi Self, Joint 77 and Natty Lee were going about spreading false rumours about he not paying them after work.
According to him, Addi Self and Natty Lee called a woman in America to complain to her that Shatta Wale did not pay them after shows and that if he was in America, he would have been shot.
Infuriated by the actions of the militants, he threatened to beat Addi Self if he comes on social media to reply his messages, calling him ungrateful after forgetting all he, Shatta Wale did for the Militants.
Meanwhile, in an earlier interview with Delay, when she asked the Militants if they were being paid, they replied that their only focus was the production of the music, and not money.
She further warned them, especially Addi Self that from his reply, he will be the first person to betray Shatta Wale when things start flourishing and they are not being paid what they deserve.
Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale born Charles Nii Armah Mensah has warned his former proteges, Militants to desist from associating with his brand.
According to him, over the years when they were with him, he advised them to produce good songs so they can also build better brands for themselves but they never listened.
He said he sacked them in the middle of January but they continue to post songs in his WhatsApp Groups to make it look like he wrote the songs for them; a move he asked them to desist from or they will face his wrath when he meets them in town.
This comes as a shock to many who believed that the “4lyfe†really meant “4lyfeâ€.
The Militants are not the first to be sacked from the Shatta Movement as Pope Skinny, and many others who sacrificed for Shatta Wale was axed in the past from his team.
